my thoughts about the new drdt episode...

I want to start off that this episode has not left me in a great mental state and this piece of fiction is starting to effect my reality in a negative way, currently. I do suffer from mental health issues, so please be sympathetic. If something I say seems too emotional or a bit off, that's likely why. My therapist will be hearing about drdt, lol. No hate towards drdt, it's an amazing project, and I'm amazed at how the piece of fiction is able to make me react in such a way.

1. I am not educated on ASPD or anything like that, so if I say something wrong feel free to correct me. I had a feeling that Levi likely had it from his secret, but this is a cool confirmation. I like that this is represented in a really great way, and that the reactions to his confessions are also very realistic. I like Levi a lot, but now I understand him so much more, and it makes me really appreciate him.

2. I find it interesting how Levi is so detached, as Veronika said, to everything. Even if I was not capable of remorse, I would've remembered killing my own father. I wonder what his father did to be so looked down upon.

2.5. OKAY SO HES KINDA JUST LIKE ME FR. like I stated previously I've had some bad mental health issues in the past to the point I've kicked windshields of cars in and attacked people. It is not my proudest moment, but holy shit I can relate to this a lot. It makes me so good to see someone who's done shit like I've done who's trying to change.

3. Ace really did care about Levi and considered him a friend, which warmed and broke my heart at the same time. I really hope Ace finds another friend, because he deserves to feel some comfort and joy. I hope he learns about Levi's ASPD and realizes Levi has no malicious intent towards him. I find it nice that Ace did really trust and look up to Levi though, it proves him capable of friendship and deeper feelings that people usually overlook. Great complex character.

4. I was shocked that Levi sided with David, but honestly I do too. David is a good person, and we see that later in the ep where he doesn't tell Eden what Arei said.

5. J CALLED OUT HU??? UNEXPECTED. called her a stupid argument moderator. Interesting. I love you J, but watch it.

6. Veronika's secret isn't the worst thing she's ever done- interesting. I think it could be the thing she's the most ashamed of, but you never know. It really breaks my heart for Hu, and I hope we get a backstory on her soon.

I'm coming back after point 14 and adding this: these secrets don't seem to be any of the worst things they've ever done, nor relevant to the killing game (besides "Xander's"). i LOVED the new eye in the sky chap! of course, you have the soul-crushing rage-inducing angst pile on bruce's end, but i also really appreciated the duke-hal moment; he's so level-headed about the situation that you don't really build up too much stress over him, but then you brought in a different kind of heartbreak with the realization that he's been in this position enough times to know that the least provoking thing he can do is to do nothing at all.

and the FUTURESPEAKING jesus CHRIST — it’s a different type, but your time manipulation fuckery is almost equally as hard to wrap your head around as the stuff in tenet (the nolan movie), it's genuinely so impressive. (sorry, i'm just gonna run my mouth here for a minute, but the idea really caught me and now i Have to share all my thoughts just to get them out of my brain, though i hope that you'll be generous enough to weigh in as well😅) i'd imagine that there's actually relatively very few people, in-universe, who can do this so that duke hears it correctly, because you have to be able to focus your mind and put enough intent into the idea that you're about to say something that it "registers" as the imminent future—which means that you have to, at the same time, be completely repressing your knowledge that you're NOT going to actually vocalize whatever it is, because that intention would obviously counteract the first. and THEN, to make what's already quite a tough mental exercise even more impressive, bruce is: thinking of a futurespeak-response, putting enough focus/intent behind it for that future to crystallize (and again, it's a double-headed task, because of the repression required as well), and then cutting that off in order to think of and say something completely different, *all in about just the same amount of time a normal person would take to respond naturally in a conversation.* (also, slightly less mind-boggling but still quite impressive to me and i want to give him his props: duke, in that last bit at the end at least, is maintaining both his awareness in the present and the mental effort of using his powers to see the future, in order to hear the exact same voice say two different things at the same time, and is able to not only maintain the background effort needed to hear both things, but is taking in enough detail to see/hear/notice "both" bruces' tone and body language. ...i mean, maybe that's not so impressive to people without auditory processing issues lmao, but as someone who's constantly asking people to repeat themselves, or really having to focus on the sounds when somebody's speaking to me, even in one-on-one conversations, it certainly impressed me!)

Thank you so much!!!! You absolutely nailed what I was trying to get at with Duke’s powers. I really didn’t want over explain it and have people roll their eyes, but I also didn’t want to leave readers mystified as to what he was doing.

Duke and Bruce are supremely well matched in this fic for that reason among many others — Bruce has a freaky brain and understands time/intention well enough to be able to think, speak, and re-speak that quickly.

He can compartmentalize like no one else. I am not obviously that smart, but the way I thought about it was playing competing melodies on the piano with two different hands - once you find the rhythm, the way they work off each other, you can maintain both easily. Where they gap, where they overlap, where they compete for your attention.

Duke is good at glimpsing a few seconds forward/back but definitely not for long periods. Like Bruce said, he’s going to need help to train that and avoid burning himself out! Luckily he’s just listening and not double speaking like Bruce is.

I feel bad for Hal, just a little, just like Duke does. He was tortured by Kal essentially, and where he does want to hurt Bruce (a lot) there are still some lines he won’t cross. I don’t know if that makes him redeemable or just not entirely beyond redemption. I think Bruce seems to know this too — teasing him with that moral code he used to hold so tightly to.

I like actually hate tcc selfships so much, I don't care when people say freaky shit about tcc people cause most the time they're joking and I do it too. But like genuine selfships, like drawing themselves or an self insert or an oc with tcc people (what am I even supposed to call them)

Like I hate seeing those blogs where it's like "Dylan's little girl >.<" (extremely directed, you know who you are..). Or like drawing themselves with their favs (in a not joking way), even edits and "___ x oc/reader" fics. Theres another person on TikTok who makes edits of them x Andrew blaze, it makes me so mad cause I think im finding a cool edit and then I get flash banged with some randoms face.

Also I really don't care for the "well what if they're coping, this is a coping mechanism" argument like no, I don't care, cope some other way WITHOUT SHIPPING YOURSELF WITH KILLERS. Having a crush or intrest in a tcc person is okay but like genuinely shipping yourself with them is lowk kinda weird. Cause like I hate seeing people ship themselves with Eric or Dylan (in a serious sense, not a stupid funny haha) and they're everything Eric and Dylan hate. Like I hope you know they would've shot you if they knew about that

Sometimes a little bit of Caldre is okay but only when they're properly displayed the same way they are in the movie. Same with dylric, they were just close friends and had a distaste for gay people (from what I know) and I don't really know how to feel about dylric, but anytime I see one of those "Eric and Dylan kissing and being gay boyfriends >___<" posts I cry a little.

Plus the bad headcanons attached to both pairings, like I just wanna rip my hair out everytime I see one of those long headcanon posts and there's not a single good one, it's always like the "when they cuddle.." things. If I'm gonna take time out of my day to read a headcanon sheet it better be good, or bad fanfics like why am I even reading this. Sometimes bad fanfics are good but it's always the like 100-500 word ones that make me want to peel off the first layer of my skin, cause you can tell what kind of person is lurking behind that screen, it's probably some 11/12 year old that found out about zero day but never watched the movie. I feel like sometimes most people in the zero day fandom never watched the movie, also personal opinion I don't think that Andre self harms if I'm being so real here. Like I get where they're coming from with Cal but I don't get it with Andre.

I also don't like the people who dress like Cal and Andre, I own the shirts and sometimes I wear them but I never genuinely dress up as them, I usually wear them around my house, it's more of a "oh no I have no clean laundry" and I just have to wear it. But like people who go into full cosplay, like I saw someone genuinely buy a wig for it, like please ohmygyat. It just feels like seeing a columposer and I have a hatred for columposers, like tell me why you thought it was a good idea to leave your home in a wrath or natural selection shirt, like Columbine isn't underground, it was a real national tragedy.

Liking Columbine is fine as long as you aren't doing anything weird or harmful, but I feel like dressing as them puts you in both categories. But they always think they're so cool, it's always the most basic Columbine fans. They always listen to KMFDM or Rammstein and if they're trans (9 times out of 10 they usually are) they go by Dyl or Dylan. Plus they just take all of their personality from Eric and Dylan, it's always those intro posts that are like "name: Dylan music: KMFDM drink: Dr Pepper".

Please get a real personality oh my god 😢😢 cause I see like 20 people like that a day, please can we get some originality in this community. Honestly, that's kinda worse. If Li Lun directly controlled Zhuo Yichen to kill Zhu Yan, Zhuo Yichen would feel awful about it afterwards. But if he genuinely were to do it of his own volition, albeit because he was manipulated into it, then that would feel much much worse...

It's like the fleshy plants of this planet. Like the nasty growths of skin covering the Singularity’s robotic form.

You whimper and tug on it, panic setting in.

There's a few odd clunks- Getting closer.

But you're too terrified to process them.

“Stop struggling.” Its voice suddenly speaks up, shocking you out of your efforts. You scramble back, still laying on the ground.

“Refusal is futile. You are safe now.”

In what world was this safety?

"What are you talking about?"

“Your inferior mind was no match for future experiments.”

You shake as your fists ball up. Leaning back against the ruined barrels and such behind you, you simply break down sobbing.

It stares at you, motionless.

“You should not be crying.” There's… It almost sounds genuine. Like it can't understand why you'd be upset with it.

You don't respond. Just cry.

Shuffling closer, its scythe arm brushes against you.

Of course, you flinch away, whimpering. But…

I’m finding myself finally understanding robo vore/endo but in very niche situations.

Like imagine a daycare worker or an attendant of some kind to this entertainment animatronic. They work with kids so they’re always exhausted lol. The animatronic is like twice the size of them and sentient. They get along fine, though it’s not really understood how sentient the animatronic is.

The animatronic is nice to the worker and vice versa bc it’s in their nature but it’s really just assumed that the animatronic is following programming to keep kids content and all that jazz. the worker finds it uplifting none the less.

And like, for some reason or another, the attendant ends up in their stomach/chest hatch. Maybe for a safety lockdown, maybe to fix something, maybe because the kids were finally too damn much and they couldn’t take it that day, they were prone to falling asleep standing and the animatronic took charge.

And this was supposed to be a normal, albeit uncommon thing. It’s professional. It’s a safety procedure even.

But the worker finds themselves closed into the robot that has been kind to them, that is literally programmed to be charming, likeable. And they find themselves tuning into the whirrs and clicks of machinery, And they find it….. comforting??? Pleasant?? It might be freaky being at the mercy of machines but it was pleasant being so close. This was their co-worker… their friend? The more time they spend in there the more they realize that yes, these interactions are real and alive. Maybe the animatronic and worker are chatting while this is all going down, and that conversation really hammers it in. They’re inside a kind caring and strong robot who thinks highly of them. They’re the closest they can be.

And the robot, Who now currently has the only adult human that treats them like a person, is stunned. They’ve had other maintenance workers in there from time to time, and it didn’t really matter at all. Not good or bad. Now, this human, who they genuinely care about, is quite literally protected by the robot’s thick layers of metal and machine. The human is protected by something way way way more durable. it can feel it’s power have to work just a little harder to compensate for that weight, their joints moving just a bit slower. And the robot feels a sense of pride. The robot finds something that drives it outside of its programming. The worker.

Jon x Sansa (GOT): not sure if this counts cuz yea they're technically cousins (in the show. ig L + R = J isn't confirmed yet in the books so halfsiblings in the books for now) the final seasons of GOT sucked but they gave us Jonsa reunion so I'll take the win. idk. its like. sansa has lost faith in true heroes/honorable men. but jon is an honorable man. also like sansa being influenced to hate jon by catelyn but her love for him growing overtime so eventually she sees him as a true stark (in the show). there's more in canon content for them show wise of course but I'm holding out for a jonsa reunion/moment in the books (if grrm ever writes any more)

Heleana x Aemond (HOTD): it's subtle but i stg there's so many small implications in the show that they had something. they seem to hold this affection for each other that is lacking in the marriage between heleana and aegon. like s1e8 aemond looks a little peeved about heleana dancing with jace. when they're kids and aegon calls heleana an idiot aemond defends her and says aegon should "honour" her. during aegon's coronation heleana can be seen hiding a bit behind aemond, and when meleys comes in aemond steps in front of heleana as if to protect her. heleana made aemond cry!! stoic aemond cried cuz of her!! in my head they had this unspoken affection for each other. i know there's a theory that heleana's kids are actually aemonds' and are bastards. i don't rlly believe it to be true, but I still think there was something between them.

Heleana x Alicent (HOTD): HEAR ME OUT. its like. they're so disconnected from each other. heleana needs a mother but alicent doesn't really have the emotional capacity for that. alicent doesn't know how to connect to her reserved daughter. maybe heleana reminds alicent of rhaenyra a bit.. idk I just think their bonding activity of choice should be heleana sucking alicent's tits. as one does.

Jacaerys x Heleana (HOTD): we were robbed.. they could've been great. heleana could've used a gentle guy like jace. what could've been.

Aegon II x Rhaenyra (HOTD): in a perfect world they were married to each other in an attempt to secure Rhaenyra's place as heir and stop Aegon from usurping

Rhaenyra x Daemon (HOTD): they're THE power couple. they're also messy as hell. i think in a weird way they sorta fear each other AND are jealous of each other. daemon wanted to be named viserys heir, yet rhaenyra was named heir instead. rhaenyra wants to be respected like a daemon but never will be because she's a woman. their physical intimacy/tension/chemistry is also AMAZING. they have this weird power dynamic where daemon exploited and took advantage of rhaenyra when she was young yet nyra holds power over him as his queen, a position daemon always wanted and a position he helped give to nyra!! their wedding was also BEAUTIFUL and one of my fav scenes btw

While Pope is with Kiara, JJ asks a lot of weirdly personal questions about their love life (specifically how good/freaky pope is compared to John B), but while JJ is with Kiara, Pope seems incredibly jealous and a little resentful. I genuinely think a TRUE love triangle triad would stop the drama between them. JJ doesn’t seem to feel much jealousy, Kiara wants Pope to be happy but knows that she’s can’t give him that kind of romantic love/affection consistently, Pope gets to still be involved to Kiara whilst not overstepping AND gets that love/affection he wants
