Serious Talk.

I've been wanting to talk about this topic for a while now, but after everything that's been happening recently with Minecraft YouTubers, I think it's a topic worth discussing. (Please read the tw in the tags, before reading the rest) And no, this blog will not be about Wilbur or GNF. I'm not going to talk about the accusations or which side I'm on, after all I know very little about these people, as I've never been in their audience. In these types of situations, I always hope that everyone is okay, especially the victims. But again, this blog is not about them, they are just the starting point for me to decide to express my opinion on this matter.

Whenever something happens in this style, where an influencer/famous person is accused of something, I see dozens, if not hundreds of comments in this style "If it weren't for them I wouldn't be here today" "They're the reason I survived__" "They got me out of depression" Etc.. I want to say right away that I feel very proud of these people for being here today, for having overcome the worst phases of their lives, and living to see all this happen. However, I want to make something very clear here. It wasn't THEM. They weren't the ones who saved you. They are not the reason you are here now. YOU are. The only person who fought to be here today was YOU. The only person who knows everything YOU went through, who had to live through pain and suffering to see another day.

the only person who had to survive was YOU Yes. They may have been the starting point. Yes. They may have given you motivation to want to fight. But no. They weren't the ones who saved you YOU save yourself.

I know it hurts, but you don't know these people, and they don't know YOU! As much as "They seem to care", you are not part of their lives. Stop forgetting your battles and giving credit to people who don't even know what YOU went through!

You are here today, not because one of them saved you. You are here today, because of your strength, your perseverance, your effort, your blood and sweat. Please. Uh. You ever accidentally create a new form for the hedgehog trio. Okay well Shadow with a Black Arms form has been around in the fandom for like. Ever. but me n my partner accidentally created a new form for Sonic today when discussing the idea of Eggman activating his Chaos Form during the plot of Forces (our rewrite. we have so many thoughts). As for Silver's alternate form, I always liked the idea that he got the time travel powers from Mephiles when the timeline got rewritten, since Blaze absorbed Iblis, and Blaze n Silver could be read as parallels to Iblis n Mephiles. So uh, they all have weird forms now. Wanna say Sonic's Chaos form is achievable without the Emeralds since he absorbed some of Chaos' DNA, but he needs all 7 to achieve the Perfect form, where he is basically a hedgehog shaped Chaos.

Okay but like let's be honest here. Floyd is biting you back lmao.

The first time you bit him he was probably confused but probably giddy just from excitement.

I can see Floyd being a bitty child as he grew up just trying to bite anyone he could. Yes, Floyd has at least tried to bite Azul once when they were children. This would be an expression of him being happy, content or protective of a friend Floyd.

So when he realized you liked biting him, he was excited he could regain his bitty habits, much to Azul's dismay.

If you ever bite him whether it be in public or private be ready to be bitten back.

"Oh, Shrimpy wants to play today?~" Floyd stated as he gave you a toothy grin. You laughed nervously, glancing up at the 6-foot lanky eel. "So what if I do?" You joke, turning your heel to head to the VIP room which Azul had called you to previously in the day.

Floyd wasn't having it though, gaining a tight grasp on your wrist and pulling you back to see his heterochromatic eyes staring down at you. "Nuh uh uh~ Shrimpy want to play, so I want to play too!" He said gleefully as he went to nibble on your ear, making you shriek.

"Floyd we're out in public you can't do right now," you scolded him. "Big talk for a shrimp who bit me first,~" he slyly smirked at you as his grasp on your wrist loosened but as you started to walk away into the Monstro Lounge's VIP room you knew that this incident wasn't going to be dropped when you visited Floyd later.

Once again I headcanon that Floyd was a biter as a child. This means that Azul has had his encounters with people who seem to not think exactly before they do something

Not saying that you were exactly like Floyd but it does give Azul flashbacks when he feels your teeth on his supple skin.

He has and will yelp if you catch him off guard. Depending on whether you're in public or not he will shoot you a glance saying "Stop, people are watching."

He's learnt how to deal with you and your... Biting tendencies and he loves you for it. He's begun to tease you for it at times as well when he's bold just to see that red hue creep up on your cheeks and that adorable embarrassed face you make.

However, he won't be as pleased if you and your impulsive thoughts bite him when he's in an important meeting for the lounge...

Currently Craving: Onigiri. It's a long story. On my last day in Japan I wanted to take one last stop at a konbini, but we were rushed to our departure (even though it turns out we were very early). But our gate was so far from the shops I didn't bother to run back. So I've been having many different dreams where I'm suddenly back in Japan and am this close to a konbini and then I wake up before I realize it, but to this day I've never been able to buy one even in my sleep.

They may not be the most fancy things, but I really liked how they tasted and my homemade ones don't entirely fill that hole. ( ; v; )

Coffee or Tea: Tea I guess? I like milk teas more, since most teas I've had on their own give me headaches. I know some can have bits of caffeine which I don't really need, so I wonder if that is the root of it. Otherwise, I love the smell of coffee but not so much their taste.

A Hobby I'd Like To Try: Probably animating. I've dabbled in it a couple times before, but it was never anything super crazy. Still, I liked seeing the results come together and I'm sure I'll slowly improve on it as I try more things (albeit very-very-slowly, and that's okay). :)

An AU You've Been Plotting: Whatever I have established in my general fanworks can be considered AUs as they are-- I mean, I crush canon/timelines together so particular families can interact closely... I don't have any huge AUs cooking in my brain anymore-- my last one was set aside indefinitely ages ago and no you get no remnants as to what it is other than the continued existence of One Character.

Other than that, everything I work with is set with crossing over of multiple series by default too. I just think that's a really cool thing, whether it's done for humor or not. If I needed to give an example there is that Animal Crossing one with Juste, I can think of things that aren't just "the sillies" with it too, but I'll get to it when I can. It also revolves around the idea of "that man needs to learn to rest".

Beware a huge freaking wall of text… but id appreciate it so much if anyone reads and responds to my headcanons and adds on 😄

1) TW: ASSAULT. i was debating this, and i think yes but its much smaller than the one he has in canon. He gets it in roughly the same way, an altercation with kuron (evil shiro, except kuron is just a major asshole who isn’t related to shiro but tries to take his place through manipulation. Keith (and everyone except james actually) fell for it). Keith eventually confronted kuron outside a bar after repeated attempts to get closer with keith during their night out and kuron got pissed and pulled a knife. Fortunately keith is also an mma legend and wiped kurons ass but he got a pretty bad cut on his cheek. James made sure everyone knew about what kuron did (james is hella connected because of his parents wealth and also bcs he was trained for a while to inherit his parents company. Also, James is an incredibly smooth talker and can convince anyone of anything. So kuron pretty much has zero chance at a job in the future cause he got blacklisted from everywhere lol). This is me painting sheith as the weird freaky violently uncomfortable shit it actually is lol 😄

2) canon compliant: literally anything that isn’t high risk and stressful. Cooking, reading, sitting on the couch watching bad horror movies and shouting out plot predictions and then laughing when they’re right. Because theyve had too much drama in their life. They really appreciate the times when they can wind down. Playing fetch with kosmo is also fun, because yk teleporting wolf, so they need to get creative to get kosmo to exercise.

College AU: similar, chill things. But because of james’ absolutely insane schedule and keith’s investigative work about his father’s unusual death, they don’t really get much time together outside of studying together, lunch dates (james always makes time for lunch. Well he tries, but he has notoriously bad scheduling luck so he’ll end up with back to back classes from 8 am to 9 pm, no lunch break, or random 2 hour gaps where he needs to go off campus to a diff location for his next class so he cant acc spend those 2 hours relaxing its just him fighting downtown phoenix traffic), etc. but they’re both pretty outdoorsy, so both him and keith like going camping when they can. Its a nice break for the both of them. Also james made keith run a marathon with him once. Keith barely survived, snd slept for 18 hours after, but it was fun! In return keith dragged james to his mma gym and tried to get him to do a kick (because james is one hell of a sprinter. He has sprinter legs. That should theoretically translate super well into an insanely strong kick) but james was too nervous. every time he stepped in the ring he’d just stand there awkwardly and not move. He did send one of those punching bags flying with a kick though after he worked up the confidence (keith was right!)

Android au: uhhh kind of not applicable i fear. I cannot say why. But sometimes james lets keith clean his gun. When things get rough, he’ll let keith fix him up if there’s anything broken.

3) lowkey the sinister third option. Maybe they have some special super tightly knit fabric that’s impossible to catch on things. But also, the androids are designed pretty well, and are surprisingly devoid of super snaggy edges

4) violet. In human au, black, but im a firm believer of him having dark eyes that shine a dusty violet when the light hits them just right

5) canon compliant: TRUMPET AHHAH HES A TRUMPET PRODIGY no actually it makes me a little mad just how good he probably is at trumpet. Like gorgeous, bright tone. Huge dynamic range and lung capacity. Im so mad. Probably also piano. And fencing. He is also extremely good at sabre fencing. And i was saving this hc for later but wtv ill just repeat it: james was the one who taught keith how to wield a sword because i refuse to believe keith picked up his bayard and it formed into a sword just because. No man, its because james would beg keith to practice fencing with him and keith would finally relent and james would teach him pretty much all he knows. And keith remembered those lessons.

College au: track and field. Specifically, sprinting. James is acc so good at sprinting that he went to the olympics twice and won silver in the 200m the first time, and gold in the 100m the second time (lets pretend youssef flash (usain bolt counterpart) stayed home that year for whatever reason). And also ballroom dancing! Like waltzes and shit. Hes such a loser. And probably piano and trumpet too but they’re not so important lore wise.

6) YEEESSSS i also believe in james being neurodivergent in some way. No neurotypical man likes finance that much (my personal headcanon. Also in college au he does high level 1000 page math workbooks for fun.)

7) canon compliant: i havent thought that much abt james’ family in the canon universe. Tbh theyre probably all dead (hence why he reacted so harshly to hunk in that one scene) by the time he and keith get together officially so there’s not much he can do. He’d take keith to his sisters grave just to tell her the news (his older sister was the only person in his family of like 7 that gave a fuck abt him). During their garrison days, he probably never mentioned keith as a way of protecting him from his family.

College au: yes! He tried! Unfortunately his homophobic republican christian parents did not appreciate it. James really introduced keith as a last olive branch because he was alr so close to cutting them off, but their reactions were so bad he lost his temper in public (never before seen) and stormed out halfway through their planned lunch dragging keith by the wrist. And then he cut them off.

8) me personally no. If im being so fr every time i see galra feature Keith it always comes across as infantilizing in some way? 😭 like “ooo kitty ear keith!” somehow you are infantilizing both asians AND a completely made up race guys. The only real feature is maybe his funny coloured eyes? But galra eyes are yellow so uhhh… but i think internally there’s a lot more galra presentation. Like his heat/sickness tolerance, sleep cycle, endurance, etc.

9) i havent really thought of this, i have colours I personally associate with them but hmmm. (Canon compliant, but probably applies to all of my aus) Keith’s favourite colour? I dont think he would really have one specific one but he might list off some colour combos he thinks looks nice. Like red and black. Hes also not super picky, but he really misses his dad’s halo halo. James is too depressed to have a favourite colour. And he likes anything that is a painful experience while consuming. Like very strong and bitter black coffee, straight everclear, your most acrid cigarettes. Because he hates himself.

10) in my college au he has a snake bite! Only one though, on his right (our left) side. Also he has his lobes pierced. I dont think he’d have anything in canon compliant, just bcs his hair is already pushing the garrison guidelines and i dont think they’d let him pierce anything. Maybe earlobes, but thats it. Same goes for android au.

1) I think they came out to Ashley first, but it wasn’t super serious? Dramatic? They were in the locker room around the middle of junior year and were just like “I think I’m nonbinary.” “Yeah?” “Yeah.”

I think with Andrew it was slightly different. After school, Alice tugged on his sleeve (a habit of theirs when they want his attention) and told him then. Andrew and Ashley asked if Alice wanted to change their name, to which they said no. “B/c it’s too much effort, and besides I like my name.”

2) Least favorite school subject would probably have to be P.E. or government/economics. Bro’s the kind of person who can’t do more than 1 push-up to save their life.

3) Alice doesn’t want to burden their siblings, especially Andrew, so they never ask for much. “I’d rather you guys be here with me enjoying yourselves than go through the trouble of getting me a present.” Ashley will pester them regardless until she gets “an actual answer” out of them. “Fine fine, if there were any material gift I’d want, it’d be a music cd or some art supplies. … Or that choker necklace I was eyeing at the mall the other day.” From that point she’d convince Andrew (not that he needed much convincing) to go get at least one of those items. Alice def grabbed all those gifted cds before they escaped the apartment.

I also like to think the trio would go to the store to get some cheap boxed cake mix + frosting, and make a cake at home.

4) Their goth ass was fascinated. Scared, but extremely curious. Alice def poked the cultist’s soulless husk like “lol is u dead?” They noticed the husk still breathing, but they brushed it off thinking they were just imagining it. They grabbed the demon book before leaving as well.

Alice was more down for cannibalism than either of their siblings anticipated. “What? Don’t act like you haven’t at least thought about what humans taste like. You think we could get at the bone marrow? I heard human flesh smells like chicken when you cook it. Or was it pork? I don’t remember.” Ashley’s glad Alice is on board, while Andrew becomes more and more concerned every day :)

Andrew and Ashley are aware of Alice’s unhealthy coping mechanism, but they feel lost and frustrated because they don’t really know what to do about it. They don’t want to yell at Alice, Renee already does that those few times she sees the scars. And they can’t keep Alice away from sharps, since when Alice loses access to one thing they just… get creative, to say the least.

Luckily, Alice doesn’t feel the need to relapse unless they’re having a really bad breakdown/meltdown, or having a super bad depressive episode. And these sorts of events are pretty spaced out.

I will note, the scars in the prom dress drawing were due to a certain incident involving a really bad breakup.

your actually pretty dang close!!! Got the general vibes and emotions on point: there's a lot of themes of reconnecting, rekinddling passion and friendships, confronting your past and letting go of it. 'Melancholic but ultimately hopeful' is def the general vibes, very 'bittersweet' and generally kinda anti-climatic and non-traditional story structure sense life doesn't really give you a perfect character arc

She does have a childhood friend she was in love with, they never actually dated though. She did also 'run away' from her home among other things. And her music is an ongoing motivation and important part of her character. I want to give her a creative outlet to be passionate about, and I also want the challenge of trying to capture music in a format with no audio (comics)

Our protagonist grew up on a small, strange, seaside town. She left when she was young: and hasn't had any contact from her family or friends there in years. The story is about her returning there and finally taking the time to reflect on events that took place. Throughout the story she is being haunted by the ghost of her childself (I've said it before and I'll say it again: fsr I just can't write stories without bringing ghosts into it idk man)

Anyway!! The next character ima work on designing is her older brother. He's transgender and our protagonist doesn't remember him as a him. He's gonna be very soft looking and feeling, he is going to look like a dad if that makes sense: a very good dad. He's a mentor figure in many ways, he's seen as being very stable in his life, obv he still deals with hardships but his optimism prevails~ >:D

this is my post to tell you guys that i've decided to no longer write fics publicly.

this is a little sad considering that my anniversary with this blog is Aug 18th, but i'm honestly at peace.

truthfully i don't have fun anymore. i feel my writing and creativity has suffered. and i miss the intimacy i had with my fics.

i guess you can say this blog is just to keep up with the friends i've made and reblog all the great stuff that comes from army.

this blog will be running on queue and spontaneous posts like it has been for majority of my time here (lmao that sounds so bad as a writer).

but don't worry i will be over on my fic rec blog to read and review fics. i will still be crazy and make jokes.

so while i may not be writing on here, i will be screaming my head off about all the amazing fics on here.
