You had no idea what it was that made you so sleepy all the time. You had gone to the doctor and had your thyroid levels and your iron checked, both of which came back fine. You had taken melatonin to try and sleep through an entire night. You even tried drinking coffee and energy drinks to get you through the day. So far, nothing really worked. You were still perpetually tired.

If you had work or any plans that meant you had to leave the house, you were usually awake enough to partake. But the minute you were home, your bed would be beckoning for you, and it was nearly impossible for you to resist.

It was something you already had a lot of issues with, and you were trying to work on it, but it especially became a problem when you started dating Harry.

Harry would never say it bothered him. He was adamant whenever it was brought up that he wasn’t bothered by how often you slept. You, however, were very bothered and felt incredibly bad whenever you slept in late, or when slept your entire day away. You had such little time with him since he was always so busy, and you didn’t want to lose that time by sleeping all day.

On one of the last days before Harry had to leave for tour, the two of you had planned to spend the whole day together. You set an alarm for early that morning so you could get up and fight off the sleep you were sure would try and convince you to stay in bed.

The second the alarm went off, you got out of bed and got ready. You got dressed, made a cup of coffee, washed your face with cold water to wake yourself up more, and made breakfast. You texted Harry to say good morning and to ask when he wanted to start your day together. You were almost finished eating when you got his response: “good morning, love. i’m not long awake, so it’ll probably be an hour or two before i’m ready if that’s okay.”

“of course! see you then ❤️”

Now you just had to stay awake for maybe two hours.

You washed the dishes, even dried them and put them away. You finished your first cup of coffee and put on the kettle for another. While the water was boiling, you went to brush your teeth and splashed your face with cold water again. You paced the kitchen as you waited for your coffee to cool down enough to drink. You couldn’t let yourself sit down. You knew the moment you did, you would risk being hit my fatigue and falling asleep.

You looked at the time on your clock and realized only 30 minutes had passed since Harry had texted you. He hadn’t sent another message yet to say he was ready. You groaned as you pocketed your phone again.

“I’ve had two cups of coffee,” you said to yourself. “That should be good enough to keep me awake.”

So, you moved to the living room and sat down on the couch. You sat as straight as possible, not even allowing yourself to lean on the arm rest or to slouch. You opened TikTok on your phone and started the mindless scrolling. You figured that would be the best way to pass the time. It was easy to fall down a TikTok rabbit hole and lose an hour or more.

Eventually, your back started to hurt from the unnatural way you were sitting. You allowed yourself to lean against the arm rest. But then the leaning turned into laying down. You were on your side with your phone in your hand, TikTok still open. Your eyes were growing heavy, but you fought against them. It wouldn’t be much longer till Harry was ready. You had to stay awake.

But it was a losing battle, and soon enough, your eyes were closed and you were sound asleep.

You jumped awake at the feeling of someone’s hand touching your arm. You quickly sat up, the post sleep confusion still clinging to you.

“Hey, it’s okay It’s just me.”

You blinked your blurry eyes a few times until you focused on the familiar face of your boyfriend.

You smiled, sheepishly. “Hey. Sorry, I didn’t mean to fall asleep.”

“It’s alright. It took me a little longer to get ready than I expected.”

You stretched your arms over your head. “What time is it?”

“Um...almost 4?”

“What?!”

Your phone was on the floor, probably having fallen when you fell asleep. You picked it up to check the time to see he was right, it was almost 4pm. You also saw you had a number of texts and missed calls from Harry.

“I texted you a few times to let you know I was ready whenever you were,” he was explaining. “When you didn’t answer, I called a few times. I figured you were asleep, so I waited a while before coming over, to let you sleep.”

“How long was a while?” you asked.

When Harry didn’t respond, it was all the answer you needed.

Tears started to well up in your eyes as you buried your head in your hands. You couldn’t believe you let it happen again. You tried so hard not to fall asleep so you could spend Harry’s last day with him, and yet you still fell victim to your fatigue.

Harry gently took your hands and lowered them from your face. You refused to look up at him, keeping your eyes on the floor instead.

“Love, I’m not upset that you fell asleep,” he assured you.

“I’m upset,” you said. “I tried everything to stay awake. I knew that if I laid down I would end up falling asleep, and I still did it. I wasted our whole day.”

“Hey.” Harry cupped your face so you’d look at him. You weren’t able to hold back your tears anymore, so they were just running down your cheeks as you looked at him. “You can’t help that this happened.”

“I could’ve,” you said. “If I hadn’t let myself lay down I would’ve stayed awake. I should’ve found more chores to do around the place before you came, or something to keep me busy. But I shouldn’t have to do that! If there wasn’t something wrong with me, I’d be able to stay awake like a normal person.”

“There’s nothing wrong with you.”

You gave him a look. “Yes there is, Harry. You’re always so nice when this happens, but I really wish you wouldn’t be. I wish you’d just tell me how you really feel about it, because I know it annoys you.”

He raised an eyebrow at you. “When have I ever made it seem like I was annoyed?”

You opened your mouth to respond, but nothing came out. He was right, you technically had no evidence to support your claim that he was annoyed with you. He had been nothing but kind and patient every time you had missed plans or fallen asleep while you were both together.

“You can’t help that you’re tired so much,” he continued. “You told me about it when we went out on our first date, it’s not like it’s something that is new and came out of nowhere. And you’ve tried to deal with it, but it’s just how you are. I’m not going to be mad at you for the way you are.”

You sniffled as new tears started to form in your eyes. “But...today was our last day together before you leave, and I slept through it.”

“Last I checked, it’s only 4pm. There’s still plenty of time to do things before I have to go to bed. What do you say we grab some take away and watch a movie here?”

You wiped your cheeks and nodded. “I’d like that. And you promise to wake me if I fall asleep on your lap?”

“I don’t know. You’re adorable when you sleep.”

You playfully pushed him. “I’m serious. I already lost most of my day with you. I don’t want to lose anymore time.”

He pulled you close and kissed your forehead. “I promise I’ll wake you if you fall asleep, love.”

You smiled and kissed his lips. “I love you, and I really appreciate the fact that you put up with my sleepy-ness.”

“I’m not ‘putting up’ with anything, because I love you, too.”

He stood from the couch and pulled you with him. You followed him to his car, where the two of you went off to spend your evening together. And you made sure not to fall asleep until the both of you were tucked away in bed that night.

You look down at your feet as the water fall down your body. You thought the warm water running down your body would make you feel better but apparently not. You don’t know what is happening but it’s happening. The whole day was just so stressful. You were anxious about small things you usually don’t pay attention at all.

You wanted to relax with a good and hot shower but even this isn’t working today. Nothing work today. It’s one of these days where you just hoped you had stayed in bed in the morning and where you hope you would still be in it in the end of the day.

You slide your hands in your hair and exhale deeply, you let the water falling down your face making you hold your breath to exhale seconds later. Even moving seems to much right now. You let your back falling against the wall of the shower and just stay there

You don’t want to move, you feel good there and it’s the first time since the beginning of your day you feel that way

After minutes of letting your eyes close you decide to get out of the shower to just go lay yourself on the couch with a comfy blanket on top of you.

You quickly dry yourself and step into comfy clothes- your Daddy’s shirt and Papa’s pants. You close the window of the bathroom and get out. The change of temperature between the bathroom and the rest of the house make you shiver. You grab a blanket who was on your bed and go downstairs

You sigh and groan when your back hits the comfy couch. You let all the light of the house out so it’s just the light of the outside world who disappears slowly who is illuminating the house. You curled into a bowl and wrap the blanket around you to warmth you up a little. Even after a warm shower you are still cold. It’s probably the exhaustion who plays a lot in this

The front door opening make you groan at the annoying noise. You hear footsteps and quiet voices who get louder as they keep their walk toward where you are

‘’Tomorrow we need to be there at 7am, right ?’’ Bucky asks. To be honest he wasn’t really paying attention on what Tony was saying because he couldn’t get out of his mind how you were by message. You weren’t yourself and he immediately noticed it. He didn’t want to push you at talking to him so he just lets it slide but it doesn’t mean it get out of his mind.

‘’Yes Bucky’’ Steve sighs knowing his husband didn’t listen anything ‘’it’s at 7am’’ he says hiding his smirk.

Bucky never really listen except if it come to you or Steve, that’s why Steve doesn’t like when they have a meeting and he isn’t here. Usually he takes the information and repeats it to Bucky at least a hundred times so when it’s just Bucky at the meeting he needs to ask Tony to be sure

It always make you laugh when you see Steve on the phone or asking Bucky every time if he’s sure that the information are right or if he isn’t lying because he doesn’t know what was said. It’s funny because your Papa is all stressed out when your Daddy plays with him like this

Bucky nods and makes his way further in the house. He walks in the living room and sees your feet sticking out of the couch making him smile and shakes his head.

He walks toward you and sits on one of the armrest of the couch where your head is resting. He moves your hair away from your face with his fingers and stares down at you

You look so tired, so exhausted. His eyes travel around your features, your sweet lips where your breath is getting out, your rosy cheeks who are caressing by your Daddy's fingers, your beautiful and big eyes who are looking right at him

He tilts his head "i thought you were sleeping. I'm sorry if I woke you up, babydoll" You shake your head "don seepy" you mumble getting comfortable again "i awate"

He smiles down at you as he keeps caressing your cheek. He kneels down beside your head and kisses your forehead "it's okay to feel sleepy, little one. I'm very sleepy too"

You shake your head again "i not seepy" you insist and he nods "alright, I believe you" he says so you would calm down "do you want to tell me what is wrong then ?"

You shurg and close your eyes again. Bucky takes the time to looks at your face and changes his gaze to your feet. He quietly sighs when he sees you shaking one of them.

He knows you like he never ever knews someone. Every time you feel anxious about something you act as if you were tired. Every time you're stressing out about something you shake a part of your body, your leg, your feet, both of your legs or your fingers. He knows every body languages you have and he notices them in less than a second every time they come out.

he gets up and looks at Steve who is still texting Tony at the entrance of the house. Bucky clears his throat loud enough to get Steve's attention and he looks up from his phone with an eyebrow raised. Bucky nods at you and Steve walks to you both. He looks down at you but frowns deeper as he doesn't understand what is happening with you

Bucky rolls his eyes and nods at your foot who are still bouncing. Your Papa inhales and nods his head to say he finally understood. He then touches your forehead but doesn't feel it hot or anything. He looks up at Bucky who simply shakes his head and with that shake of head and the look in his eyes, Steve knows what is happening

Of course not in details but he at least knows one thing. He knows you aren't tired nor sick

He bends over and brings his lips to your ear "do you want to eat something, sweetie ?" he gently asks. One thing who always make you feel better is food. You turn your head to him and shake your head "don wanna move" you whisper

"what do you need ? Or want, Baby ?"

"Cuddles" you shyly say and they both smile down at you and nod "alright, sweetness. We'll cuddle but only if you promise to smile. You know we hate it when you don't feel good" Steve teased pressing his lips against your cheek. You nod your head and feel them moving

Bucky goes to your legs and Steve goes to your face. Your Papa is the first one sitting down and he helps you resting your head on his laps. Once you're comfy, Bucky lifts your legs and rests your feet on his laps

Your Papa puts a cartoon on the tv, one who usally doesn't make you all energic and you grab your Papa's hand after a moment. He feels you squeeze it and moving it around making him frown. He slides the fingers of his other hand on your hair "are you sure you're okay ?" he whispers getting Bucky's attention

You nod your head but your nod starts to change into a shake after some times, your lips start trembling and your eyes are watering "hey baby" Your Daddy says and comes closer to you "what's wrong, beautiful ?" he gently asks as Steve squeezes your hand

You just keep shaking your head and you soon feel tears falling down your cheeks. You sob and your Papa sits you down on his laps instead of being laying. You hide your face in his neck and keep sobbing while your daddies shush you. Your Daddy strokes your legs and feet while your Papa strokes your head.

"why don't we go upstairs in our bed ? It'll be more comfy, don't you think ?" Your Papa asks and you nod while sniffing. Steve stands up and lifts you up to rest you on his hip. You curl yourself against him and hide your face in his neck.

You feel your Daddy behind you and as your Papa walks up the staires, your Daddy grabs your feet and gently strokes them. You curl your toes and squeeze your Papa's neck at the attention.

Once they're in the bedroom, they don't lose a time and rush toward the big king size bed. They lie you down and quickly slide themselves under the cover after all the lights are out. Your Daddy lifts up your shirt immediatly and starts stroking your belly, knowing it's something who make you feel good and relax

"you had a hard day ?" Your Papa asks stroking your arms and hands. You close your eyes and nod before sniffing for the last time. "You're safe here, you're in a place where all your worries stay at the door, you're in a place where you can lay on us anytime. You don't have to hide how you're feeling from us, you don't have to be ashamed about what you're feeling at home. We won't be mad and we won't ever laugh at you because you feel low or anything else" Bucky whispers as his fingers travel in your belly

You open your eyes and looks up at your Daddy. He smiles down at you and nods "it's the truth, baby. You're allowed to have feelings, whatever they are" You look at your Papa who nods as well.

You start to nod too at the same time as them making them laugh at how adorable your are when you're shy around them.

"Do not," Your Daddy kisses your lower belly "worry,' he kisses up your belly making you giggle "about" he kisses the right side of your belly "grown up" he kisses the other side making you squirm "things" he finishes with a blow on top of your belly button making you giggle harder

You push his head away with a shy grin and look away when he looks down at you with a smirk. He rests his hand back on your belly and starts to travel them around all over again. Steve smiled at his two lovers the whole time, his eyes fall down on you and they soften when he sees you looking up at him. He kisses the tip of your nose gently making you smile "our beautiful little girl" he whispers

You close your eyes again with a little smile against your lips, you finally feel better. All the stress and the anxiety of the day is behind you now that your Daddies throw it away. They always make sure you feel safe and good when you're home and they tries their best to make you feel safe and comfortable outside of the house too.

They're the best. They're everything you need and everything you ever wanted and everything you never thought you'll have one day

Hey Holly, going on anon so that I can be all gushy in anonymity. I first discovered your fics through “Gothic Pigeon.” It was so funny, I was trying so hard not to laugh so that I don’t wake up my partner, sleeping beside me.

The next night, I binge-read through “Everything I Wanted” and “Falling All In You” which was a total mistake because I felt so regretful after, similar to the regret one feels after they’ve finished an incredibly good dessert very fast. That’s why when you started posting “Someone Else’s Life” almost 3 years later, and I was able to follow the updates live, it felt like I was getting the chance to enjoy another dessert from a dependable and talented baker — and this time, I would be able to savour it.

After you finished SEL, began IAL and announced the weekly updates of the charming “Bewitched,” I have developed a habit of checking your AO3 and tumblr page for new content. I truly believe I am hooked on your writing and I just wanted you to know how much excitement your work stirs in the people who follow it. You and the fellow fanfic writers of the fandom community do all this magic, free and we are just so lucky you use your writing powers for good, rather than evil.

Anyhow, I have all the above mentioned fics downloaded, except “Bewitched” which I’ll be doing so immediately after its completion! Your fics are still material that I revisit for comfort and laughter and warm, fuzzy feelings. Hello pommunist dot Tumblr dot com, I just wanted to say thank you for your posts! I may not agree with all of your perspectives but they are a very good source of differing views to keep my own bias in check. I always see you making sure that discussion stays overall respectful and that is very swag of you 👍 I come from an environment where it's very common for workers to be exploited in the ways that are relevant rn (as far as I know, all of my friends have been). I also, as a person, have a very hard time being angry or taking a strong stance against anything (the more I disagree with someone's actions, the harder I subconsciously try to empathize with them) so your expressions of outrage help me remember that things like this are not normal and should be fought against.

It's very hard for me to condemn any of the things that quackity or others involved with q studios have done. To be clear, I completely support the admins' rights to proper treatment and pay; it's just that I know that if I was in the place of those higher-ups/quackity, I would have made the same or very similar mistakes, so it feels very fallacious to hold them to higher standards than I would hold myself. Is this a strange or inappropriate position to hold? I just do not know how to flex my brain in the right way to look at qstudios as a 'corporate entity' rather than a 'collection of individuals.' That plus the fact that in my opinion, all these problems with the server's management are much easier to make than people (at least in my experience) want to think, and have a good chance of happening with any project just because communication is so inherently infallible and human nature is complicated.

Again, I do really appreciate your point of view and perspective. I just have a hard time truly understanding the more "zero-tolerance" approach to—well, to anything, but in this case to abuse of workers' rights. Would you be willing to explain more of your perspective? I really truly do want to understand better.

Also I don’t think it’s strange or inappropriate for you to have the position you described in your ask ! I actually relate a lot to you saying you can have a hard time being angry at something because same, the more I analyse someone’s actions the more I tend to see their pov and empathise.

Also about holding yourself to a different standard if you were in their shoes, the question is : would you, in a similar scenario, have made decisions that would have put you in the same situation they are now ? Personally, I know that I don’t have the money, ressources or abilities to manage such a big project, so by realising it, I wouldn’t have gone through with it.

For the others things you brought up I’m gonna link you to a previous ask I answered, as well as to the very pertinent addition by @blockgamepirate to it, which I hope can bring some elements of answers to your questions.

And personally, there are many reasons I feel so strongly about the topic of workers rights. Them being that I just care about politics and have an interest in them, but also the current political climate of my own country and my personal background makes it that I kinda HAD to strongly make my mind on this topic. In this particular case it angers me even more because the admins were mostly young people, who had a great love and admiration for the project, and for the passion of young fans be taken advantage of is just heartbreaking.
