So first of all, I'm truly sorry that you're going through all of this ):

But now let's assume that when he liked you, you did accept his feelings. Or when you confessed to him, he accepted.

If you two became a couple back then and were still a couple... What would you both do now? Break up? Or try to make long distance work?

Don't get me wrong, I think it is extremely mature and sensible of you to feel like you don't wanna do long distance for the reasons you listed. Because as someone who has been in a long distance relationship for way too long already.... Yeah, it definitely isn't easy ^^"

But!!! I think it's sweet that he's willing to try. And I think it's at least worth going over all of the pros and cons with him. Really sit down with him, talk things over, and see if you can both come to a mutual understanding.

For example (just off the top of my head) :

Pros - you'll finally be with the person who you genuinely care for. Things can work out and lead to an amazing future together. The temporary distance can make your overall bond grow stronger. You both can look forward to every opportunity possible to see each other in person.

Cons - the distance may potentially be too much for either of you to handle. Lacking that closeness can become very lonely. You may think the worst (at least for me, I often worry that my bf may find someone better because he deserves better. That maybe after all this time, things just won't work out in the end. A lot of inner demons and self doubt, ya know? ^^") You may potentially end up parting ways even if you both give it your all.

But also keep in mind that sometimes, couples who are together in person every day still don't work out in the end.

It's obviously your decision in the end, and whatever your choice may be... Just know that everything will work out for you.

If you decide to be with him and things don't work out, at least you tried. If things do work out, then all of the difficult times will be totally worth it!

But if you both decide that yeah, a long distance relationship isn't a good idea... Then just look towards the future and never forget that you will find the right person who you're truly meant to be with.

And if this guy is the right person for you... then once you graduate from college, maybe you both will find your way back to each other (:

Oh! I also think it's worth thinking of some hard questions and asking him what his honest opinion is. Such as : how will the distance affect him. Will he be able to remain exclusively loyal to you. How serious is he about you. Etc.

Side thought : I'm not sure how far away your college/university is or what his life is like, but is it possible that maybe he can come visit you? o:

Like... I live in Northeast PA and certain parts of New York and even New Jersey aren't that far away from me (like 1 and a half to 2 hours). But other states like Ohio and West Virginia are much further away. Heck, even some PA cities like Pittsburgh are 5+ hours from me haha xD What I'm getting at is.... Sometimes going out of state isn't too bad. Other times it is ^^"

Seriously though. It's your life and your decision. I know this entire situation isn't easy and that you care about this guy, but you need to do what's best for you. If you genuinely don't think you can handle a long distance relationship (which again, I totally understand!), then there's no shame in admitting that and sticking to that.

You deserve to be happy and you deserve to have that closeness/intimacy you desire.

Anyway... I hope this isn't too unorganized, and I really hope what I've said doesn't make things even more unclear for you. Don't worry about it, I really happy that you are being so supportive of me at a time like this. It really makes me feel great. And you are really helping me to sort out my thoughts so thanks a lot! I really appreciate it. (Your advice is good and everything is in order so 10/10 for that so don't worry about it at all)

As for where things stand right now between me and the guy, here's the update: I told him about how I felt about long distance relationship and why I didn't what it but also told him that I was willing to try if he is and he heard me out and so we have decided not to rush into it and just let things happen naturally. We plan to be neutral about the relationship until I come back and if we still hold the same feelings for each other then we might become a thing.

I honestly think that's unlikely to happen but who knows. It's really like the right people but wrong time. Honestly I'm pretty sad about it but i think I will be sadder if things don't work out between us in a long distance relationship. We plan to stay in contact still and just see where things lead us. So just like you had said, if he's the one then maybe we will find our way back to each other.

We are going to meet up next week and maybe we'll discuss some things out or maybe not but I'm just glad that we are able to talk to each other again comfortably like we used to and for now I want to enjoy that.

Hii im from Indonesian I got a little question for you, after playing mushroom oasis and astronought I’m just curious why are you using Indonesian language, mawar : rose and bidadari/malaikat : angel ? Like don’t get me wrong it’s pretty rare (or maybe I rarely saw it) people using Indonesian language as for reference

I also really like the way you make a characters it’s very detailed :0 I very enjoy reading your blog’s

I've never mentioned it but I'm actually from SEA! I don't wanna mention which country specifically but it's easy enough to figure out. It's just for fun and flavor using words from a language I'm familiar with!

And thank you! Part of the reason they're so detailed (I assume you meant in terms of personality, backstory, etc!) is because people send me fun questions to ponder about and it's really helped flesh out my characters!

On a side note, I know I've sprinkled in some Spanish too but sadly I don't speak it. I do think it's a beautiful language, but I hesitate to use it without understanding it properly.

The one full line I've ever used that Atom says in Astronought is from a song (Waltz in E-major, Op. 15 "Moon Waltz" by Cojum Dip), so I assume the phrase is correct!
