I finally finished the drabble, hope you guys like it!

If there was anything Matthew Wayne did not tackle with fearless abandon, it was changing diapers. He looked at his younger son Jason, who softly cried as he placed him on the table already laden with everything a talented mechanical engineer needed to change a baby’s diaper.

            “Don’t worry little Jaybird, your father won’t let you down.” He said softly as he took off the safety pins and slowly opened Jay’s diaper. The smell of feces hit his nose, an icy chill covered Matthew like a shroud for the dead.

            The gluey, sticky mud pulled at his boots as Pvt. Matthew Wayne took big gallumping steps towards the front.

          Smoke hit his nostrils and eyes as he wrinkled his nose against the musty, firey, stingy smell that burned his eyes.

          Never mind that, the Burrowing Turtle was stuck in the mud despite the crew taking all the tree branches they could find, jabbing it into the thick gooey mud and lifting together with all their strength. He had volunteered to scout ahead hoping to find a friendly ally as the Federation had massacred the rest of their tank unit except for the Burrowing Turtle. His squadmates continuing their noble quest to rescue their mighty steed.

          If only this fog would lift.

         Matthew stumbled, kicking away rocks in his path, his foot hitting one soft, lumpy sack of potatoes.

        Wait, what was a sack of food doing abandoned in the middle of a war zone?

       Hoping to take something back to the crew, Matthew looked down and saw a soldier lying face down in the mud, his dark grey uniform blending in with the muddy slurry.

        He gently turned the body over with his foot despite a loud voice inside his head screaming Don’t do it you goddamn fool!

         When the corpse’s face greeted him, it gave him a skull’s rictus smile.

            Jason’s sharp cry snapped Matthew back to reality with a deep, shuddering breath.

            “I’m sorry little Jaybird, I’m sorry.” He said as he wiped his youngest son’s bottom, discarded the soiled diaper, and put a new one on just as his wife Nadia had taught him.

             Jason gurgled with delight as the proud papa picked him up, cradling him in the crook of his arm as he smiled and cooed to him.

             They walked to the nursey, where two year old Brian was, already fast asleep in his bed, his tiny hands clutching fistfuls of blanket.

             Matthew smiled before gently placing Jason in the crib on his back and covering him with a blanket.

              Jason fell asleep immediately.

              Matthew took one last look at his boys before turning off the light, assured they wereboth safe and sound.

                Matthew gently opened the creaking door to his bedroom, tiptoeing through the darkened room to gentle breathing sounds. He turned on the electric lamp.

                 His beloved Nadia turned in her fevered sleep. Her black puffy hair spread out in waves on the pillow.

                 He sat down in the chair next to the bed and placed a cool, moist towel on her warm brow.

                 He gently kissed her on her lips.

                 She opened her eyes, turned to look at him and said with a smile through a scratchy throat “You��ll catch my flu.”

                  “Milady, I would risk catching the vilest pox in order to serve you.” Matthew said, kissing the top of her head.

                   “Did you put the boys to bed?” she asked.

                   “I did sweetie, it’s not as hard as it looks.” Matthew replied, his eyes lighting up in a bright joy as he stroked his wife’s hair.

                     “Thank you so much, Brian and Jason are lucky to have a father like you.” Nadia said before drifting off to sleep.

                      Matthew, breathed a sigh of relief and said quietly “I should be thankingyou for your faith in me.”

                      He held her hand, thought rain or shine Matthew would dutifully stand guard over his family til morning.

Can you write fanfic story about Matthew taking care of Baby Wayne Bros.

Give me some time and I'll jot it down, it's a pretty cool idea for a drabble.
