Animage March 2025 Issue ft. Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger Main Cast Member Interviews (translation below)
Publication: February 10, 2025 (after broadcast end)
The 48th Super Sentai, "Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger," used a motif based around cars, and its biggest charm was its message of "taking control of your own wheel," which likened taking control of your life to the steering wheel of a car.
Another characteristic of Boonboomger was how elements that may have seemed crazy or laughable at first glance were given a sense of nuance and depth. Taiya, a wealthy and always dignified man, regrets that he was unable to do anything when he heard screams, and strove to become an adult with more flexibility than anyone else. The Hashiriyans had been developing comedic strategies in order to collect the Ghassolin produced by screams, but in their final phase, they devised a terrifying plan to turn Earth into a Ghassolin factory by preventing all of Earth's problems from being resolved.
The way Earth was depicted in Boonboomger is no different from the real Earth. That's why the Boonboomger's bravery that conveyed to us the importance, difficulty, and coolness of "taking control of your own wheel" will remain in our hearts forever. _
Iuchi Haruhi x Hayama Yuki x Suzuki Miu Saito Ryu x Soma Satoru x Miyazawa Yu
-A very, very tearful wrap up-
Iuchi: The ending was one where we got to see where everyone ended up, but even at the time of the wrap up, it didn't feel like the story was over at all. However, it was only when I stopped my routine of reading the script at night before going to bed and thinking about the scenes and lines to be filmed the next day, that I realized for the first time that "it was finally over."
Saito: We're still working on Boonboomger, so I haven't really felt it yet. It was like that even on the very day of the wrap up……
Miyazawa: You cried the hardest (everyone laughs).
Soma: Your face was wrinkled like an umeboshi.
Suzuki: His face was scrunched up as he cried.
Miyazawa: Still, there was something about Ryu's face that really hit me.
Saito: I love everyone in Boonboomger, including the staff. I've spent the past year thinking that I'd met some incredibly kind people, so when I thought about the fact that I may never have the chance to meet them again, I started crying like crazy.
Miyazawa: It was really cute that he even cried the day before the wrap up.
Hayama: He sent a message to our six person group LINE that said, "I don't wanna be separated from you guys." I thought it was beyond cute.
Miyazawa: I remember he bawled his eyes out in the bath.
Saito: We were going to meet after the wrap up, and when I was thinking about what I was going to say to everyone, the realization that "tomorrow would be the end" suddenly hit me.
Suzuki: Moments like that come suddenly, don't they? When we got the final cut, I was a complete mess, as I was beyond relieved that the year ended with no one getting injured, but sad that it was over. I cried so much, that I myself didn't think I could cry that much.
Saito: You cried once in the morning.
Suzuki: Due to the order of filming, the final scene was shot in the morning. I felt sad when filming was over, and as Mira, while there were moments in time when Chasshiro and Genba weren't around, when I thought about how great it was to be able to finish with my friends, I started to cry abit.
Hayama: And then there was Zawa-kun's final ByunByun Change.
Suzuki: Zawa-kun playfully said to me, "Miu-chan, I'm gonna do my final ByunByun Change," and it really stung me.
Hayama: I was so nervous about the scene where we wore the Boonboom suits and did our roll call, that I didn't realize it would be our final time until I was handed my bouquet. However, when I saw the look on Director Nakazawa's face at the end, it was too much for me to handle. All the gratitude I've felt up until that point just came bursting out, and I don't even remember what I said in the end. It's been a long time since I cried like that. Probably not since I was born (everyone laughs).
Suzuki: Yuki-kun's comment really hit me. He told Nakazawa-san and Producer Kuji-san, "Thank you for finding me."
Hayama: Did I say it properly? I'm glad then.
Miyazawa: Even though he said that, he concluded by saying, "This is the end" (everyone laughs).
Suzuki: He was crying so hard that he couldn't think straight, but the way he ended it was very subtle, which was really funny (laughs).
Hayama: That's just the kind of person I am (laughs).
Miyazawa: I also bawled my eyes out…
Iuchi Hayama Suzuki Saito Soma: Eh?
Hayama: I thought it was cool that Zawa-kun didn't cry though?
Miyazawa: I was on the verge of tears too, so I couldn't look at the staff and just kept my head up as I talked. Besides, I thought that since I was the first in line to address them, I couldn't cry. I think if I'm gonna burst into tears, it'll be during the Final Live Tour.
Soma: Zawa-kun tends to cry from time to time.
Miyazawa: Cut it out, geez! I do cry pretty often. I'll cry when I watch the drama at home (everyone laughs). Still, I was really glad that it was the six of us, and we had a really wonderful wrap up.
Soma: I on the other hand didn't cry or anything like that……
Suzuki: Yes you did you liar! (laughs).
Soma: (laughs). I was still holding it in when I hugged my partner Ono-kun, but when I received my bouquet, the sadness and realization that it was over came at me all at once. On top of that, the number of staff members on set was amazing.
Suzuki: Yeah, everyone who's ever been involved up until now had gathered.
Soma: That's what further moved me to tears. Still, it was a really great way of ending things.
Saito: I also became overwhelmed when I hugged Shige-san. We've been playing the same role together for the past year.
Suzuki: We supported each other.
-Culmination of the past year! A turbulent Final Lap-
Iuchi: The five people from Earth went to space. On the opposite end, Sakito, who's an Earthling but lived in space, remains on Earth, which I thought was a very good ending for Boonboomger.
Soma: This is especially true for the opposite end. Sakito must've been a delicacy of a role to play.
Miyazawa: It was a real delicacy (laughs). The man who abandoned Earth encountered Earth's Boonboomgers, felt their kindness, and made the decision to protect Earth, which I feel was a sign of Sakito's growth. It was also cool to see Sakito carry on the responsibility that Taiya had done up until now.
Suzuki: The scene with Byundi in the final episode was also good! At Mira's part time job, Sakito's trying to convince Byundi to go to space, but Byundi's hesitant, which gives off the impression that they care about each other.
Miyazawa: After seeing Taiya and the others off, just as Sakito and Shirabe-san are about to go back and eat curry, Byundi shows up right behind them. He just appears (laughs).
Saito: I liked that scene…
Suzuki: He says, "There's a novel I still haven't shown you yet." I really like endings that make you feel like there's more to come. Even though Boonboomger's broadcast is ending, I was happy to read the script because it showed that the six of them will continue to live on.
Saito: I was happy with the ending for the Sanseaters too. All three of them were fairly popular.
Soma: Nah, they were insanely popular. They'd trend on SNS more than we did (laughs).
Suzuki: They really did. They'd snatch it away from us (laughs).
Hayama: Yaru-chan was the strongest when it came to that.
Saito: That's for sure, Yaru-chan would always show up (laughs). It was alittle surprising to see Jou get involved with the Sanseaters, but Jou helps anyone in trouble, no matter who they are, which is probably why he was able to get along with the Sanseaters, or rather, he atleast had a good connection with them. There's a scene where I Boonboom Change, and BoonBlack and Decotrade fight together in the same spot, which I also observed the filming for, and that setting was really intense.
Hayama: In the scene where Decotrade protects the children, he's attacked on his back. I can't wait to watch Ogura Toshihiro-san's performance (this interview took place before the broadcast).
Saito: Decotrade's reaction after Jou said, "You're a pretty nice guy," was improvised by Ogura-san, who was asked by Director Nakazawa to "respond in some way." Decotrade's slightly embarrassed look matched his character, and it made me think, "I wouldn't expect anything less from him."
Iuchi: Even when I was watching it back together with the staff, I thought that the scene where Chasshiro shows up at the wedding ceremony was really funny. We all said, "Chasshiro, how can you arrive on the scene with such a smug look on your face after betraying us?" (laughs).
Hayama: They kept teasing me even after I said, "It's in the script!!" (laughs). I'm sure that was just his way of being happy.
Saito: When Chasshiro was on his own, Yuki-kun and us other five hardly ever saw each other, so when we did meet up for the first time in a while, he was even noisier than usual (laughs).
Suzuki: He couldn't stop talking (laughs). He was super excited.
Hayama: I wanted to talk! I was by myself for so long.
Suzuki: Satorun went through a similar situation when he was away, right?
Soma: I did.
Hayama: I understand how you felt.
Soma: Right? You feel lonely when you're out of the picture.
Hayama: Normally they don't do this, but I thought it was pretty mean that they went through the trouble of taking off shot photos of the five of them and posting it in our group LINE (everyone laughs).
Soma: We were like, "Thank you for today."
Saito: "We had fun."
Suzuki: "We'll see each other tomorrow, won't we?"
Hayama: I don't like that.
Miyazawa: I hate it (laughs).
Hayama: It's because I was lonely. They made a collage and would cover up someone else's face by putting a picture of my own over theirs……
Suzuki: I did that too (laughs).
Saito: Miu-chan of all people took part (laughs).
Soma: By the end, we made everyone Yuki-kun.
Suzuki: We were also teasing him, but we still felt lonely without Yuki-kun, so we were like, "Alright, let's send this to Yuki-kun!"
Soma: Right, we lovingly teased him (laughs).
Hayama: So you were teasing me? I didn't realize it at the time (everyone laughs).
Suzuki: For the last few episodes, I never thought I'd have to wear a wedding dress again.
Saito: I also liked Mira's wedding……
Iuchi: Aren't you liking too many scenes? (laughs).
Saito: It's because I like all of them (laughs). It's a similar situation to Bakuage 1, where at that time, Taiya went in alone to stop it, but in Bakuage 47, the fact that all her Boonboomger friends were also there was heartwarming. I felt overwhelmed with emotion by what she had accomplished over the past year and her growth as a Boonboomger
Soma: That's what you can do when you gain control of your own wheel.
Suzuki: Mira told Taiya in Bakuage 1, "I'll take control of my own wheel," and I was happy to see her growth since that moment and the way in which it was delivered.
Miyazawa: I think the scene in the warehouse where Mira says, "I'll get married," was really good. The others still don't agree with Mira's decision, but Taiya replies with, "I understand." I feel that the story Boonboomger had been developing up to that point stood out there.
Suzuki: That scene was really intense. While Sakito, Genba and Jou all want to stop her, Mira takes a step forward, thinking that if she goes to Spindo herself, she might be able to protect Earth and everyone in Boonboomger, but with Taiya being Taiya, he has various thoughts on it, which is why things ended up the way they did.
Miyazawa: And, Ishiro was working from behind the scenes.
Hayama: Right. I'm looking forward to watching it since everyone says it was good.
Suzuki: It was also challenging for Taiya. Before we filmed Bakuage 45, Haruhi had lost so much weight, that the outline of his face had changed. I was worried and asked him about it, but he said, "Since it's a scene where Taiya hasn't eaten, I've also been trying not to eat for two or three days."
Iuchi: Yeah, my partner……he passed away once……
Soma: Choosing your words carefully, huh? (laughs).
Iuchi: (laughs). That's why I decided to change the mood all at once. I didn't sleep for the day of the shoot, and felt physically ill.
Suzuki: His eyes were completely devoid of light, and I also had alot to take in from his performance.
Soma: That's why the scene where he eats curry truly looked delicious.
Suzuki: Right, right, he was eating like crazy (laughs).
Iuchi: It was really delicious. I thought, "It's been so long since I've had a meal!" (everyone laughs). I know I'm moving on to the final episode, but Zawa-kun had alot of trouble with his unmasked roll call.
Miyazawa: I didn't think I'd ever have to do BoonViolet's roll call, so I was taken aback for a moment when I heard about it (laughs). On the day of filming, I was allowed to practice until the very last second.
Suzuki: Still, it was amazing. I felt like yours overlapped with Tsuta-san's.
Hayama: He was given the OK with his first take.
Soma: It took me four attempts (everyone laughs).
Suzuki: Furthermore, we had to stand on a platform, so we had to do it alone from a high place.
Soma: That was dangerous…..
Hayama: I was thinking, "Everyone, avert your eyes!" (laughs).
Miyazawa: It must've been difficult for Miu-chan too, right?
Suzuki: It was difficult! Still, I thought that I might have to do it somewhere, so I had Yume-san teach me.
Saito: Doing BoonBlack was easier compared to everyone else's……
Hayama: No, it's not easier.
Saito: However, I felt that mine was lacking in terms of sharpness and the size of my movements. It once again made me realize how great Shige-san is.
Miyazawa: We started filming with Haruhi, but he got it done in one take.
Suzuki: Even though he was abit unsteady during practice, when it came time to do the actual performance, he did it with precision.
Hayama: He was really cool.
Iuchi: Boonboomger's Red is cool, isn't he?……
Soma: You're not allowed to say it! (everyone laughs).
-If you had to choose another member's most memorable scene?-
Saito: I liked how Sakito's scenes during the ending credits were edited in (laughs).
Hayama: That was great!
Miyazawa: It only makes sense for Sakito, don't you think?
Soma: And whenever someone left Boonboomger, he'd be edited over them (laughs).
Saito: When it comes to serious scenes, I loved his exchange with Kakeru in Bakuage 18.
Soma: During his fight against Taiya in the same episode, seeing Sakito's feelings on his unmasked face as he broke down into tears was really intense.
Iuchi: For scenes with Sakito, his speech in Bakuage 45 was really cool.
Suzuki: That one really made me tear up! It was a scene that made me realize the meaning behind Sakito joining us, and the performance he gave was truly beyond amazing.
Iuchi: He's very considerate of his friends.
Suzuki: I also thought that it sounded like something Zawa-kun would actually say.
Hayama: It does!
Saito: I also liked the way he and Byundi said the Cleaner's introduction speech together.
Miyazawa: That sequence of events was changed on set. The line that was originally written in the script started with "I'm," but Byundi's presence is one where Sakito feels that he can compose himself, and the moment I saw Byundi, I wanted to say "We're," so I consulted with Director Hayama about it. Masashi-san said the introduction speech with me on set, and I was able to do post recording for that episode together with Hanae-san, so I was happy that I was able to share this passionate scene with them.
Hayama: Sakito's first Change in Bakuage 16, where he had that big smile on his face, left a lasting impression on me due to how strong he looked. Another thing I like about Sakito is that he lightens up the mood in a way that's different from Mira, such as when he went out shopping during the first half of a heavy episode.
Miyazawa: I liked the scene where Genba was confronted with Disrace on Earth, as it was where Genba could most easily let out all the hatred and sadness that Satoru had created up until then, and it also allowed me to feel the burden that Genba had been carrying. Also, "flutter" (laughs).
Soma: You're talking about "Promise the Circuit," right? I said that during the opening battle scene (laughs).
Hayama: For Genba, I liked his "You're so arrogant, Taiya" line the most. I can understand Taiya's desire to bring Bundorio back to life, but I feel that Genba said those words because he had his own feelings about it and couldn't bear to watch him.
Suzuki: I also loved Genba's lines. For his "I'm gonna accelerate you guys" line in Bakuage 7, I thought it showed Genba's composure, slight suspiciousness, and excitement about fighting. There's also the scene where he tells his story to Mira for the first time in Bakuage 10, which showed us Genba's personality, and I really loved the gentle expression on his face.
Saito: I liked Genba in Bakuage 47. When he dismantled the spaceship he rode in from planet Bureki and used it to build a barricade, I felt that Genba had grown, or rather, it seems like he was able to free himself from the restraints that were placed on his heart.
Iuchi: I think the scene with Disrace that Yu-kun mentioned is a great scene, and the scene in Bakuage 27, where Genba leaves Boonboomger, is also my favorite. Satoru-kun had a really gentle looking face, and even though I can usually move on from a scene immediately after we film it, I couldn't forget that face and it stuck with me for quite some time.
Hayama: All of Jou's scenes are cool, but I think the coolest scene for me might be the one where he Boonboom Changes for the first time.
Iuchi: I love Jou's first Change too.
Hayama: It's because rough looking men look cool.
Soma: He was straightforward.
Saito: I literally got covered in dirt.
Hayama: That was good too!
Miyazawa: Jou had a bunch of memorable scenes too.
Soma: Like the Keytarou episode.
Suzuki: That one was really unfair (everyone laughs). When I saw Ryu-kun crying during the wrap up, I was reminded of the Keytarou episode.
Saito: I cried during that episode too.
Suzuki: Right. The plot twist is that the way Ryu-kun cried in that scene is just the way he actually cries (everyone laughs).
Soma: The scene where Maimi and the others seized him was also good.
Miyazawa: If I had to pick a memorable Jou scene, that's the one I'd choose since we filmed it together. Passionate scenes like that really showed off Jou Akuse's character. It might be because Saito Ryu's honesty is also reflected in Jou, but in the scene where he says, "I'll quit being a police officer!," I think that Jou's determination was clearly conveyed, which was very heartwarming.
Saito: I'm grateful to the Screenwriter, Director and Producers.
Miyazawa: It's because Saito Ryu was playing the role.
Hayama: There's no doubt about it.
Soma: For Mira, I think I'd pick the "I'll get married" scene. Her blunt facial expressions were piercing.
Iuchi: I'll never forget the part where Mira told Taiya, "Your friends are here." Even when the camera was pointed at Mira, we were still performing together, but Miu-chan's performance was so good that I started to cry. However, I knew that Taiya wouldn't look at Mira and cry, so I quickly turned away and wiped my tears.
Suzuki: Taiya's facial expressions in that moment helped me out alot, and I think that scene wouldn't have been possible without Haruhi-kun.
Saito: I really liked the way she did her unmasked roll call in the final episode. Her smiley vibes overlapped with Yume-san's, and it made me think, "Ah, that's Mira."
Miyazawa: For the episode where Mori Hinami-san made an appearance, the scene where the two of them talk under the overpass was also good. Both the line that she says to Mori-san's Aki and the Boonboom Change that followed really showed off Mira's straightforwardness.
Hayama: I still remember being overwhelmed by Miu-chan's performance in Bakuage 14, where Mira becomes angry with Ishiro. She herself isn't that extreme in person (everyone laughs).
Suzuki: After it was over, he whispered, "Amazing……" (laughs). If I had to pick a memorable scene with Chasshiro, it'd probably be the action scene with Taiya in Bakuage 37. I know he always talks about how he isn't good at action, but that was the coolest I've ever seen Chasshiro.
Hayama: Haruhi……It was all thanks to my dialogue with Iuchi-san.
Iuchi: No, no, I'm the one who's thankful (everyone laughs).
Hayama: I've been waiting for you to say that (laughs).
Miyazawa: The direction of that episode was amazing. Like how the "I trust him" line between Ishiro and Taiya overlapped.
Saito: It was nice when he said, "Cranked up, isn't it?" to Taiya on the rooftop.
Soma: It made me think, "Are they dating?" (everyone laughs).
Iuchi: His line, "Let's go in a cool direction" was just too cool.
Saito: I like that too. It was really cool when he said the same line during Bakuage 14, with his suit and face all messed up.
Iuchi: I thought it was a perfect fit for Chasshiro, and I was confident that children would love it too.
Miyazawa: I said this directly to Yuki on set, but I loved the scene where he tells Bundorio, "You never ran away." He looked cool as he leaned back with his arms crossed, but it sounded like he put alot of feeling into his words.
Soma: When it comes to Chasshiro, I liked his "ugh" reaction whenever someone was being mean to him. It's a gap with his usual self.
Miyazawa: I noticed that! It's really funny.
Hayama: Thank you (laughs). Taiya has alot of great scenes too. Normally, we'll perform Taiya and Ishiro by looking at each other's facial expressions, but I was impressed by the fact that he didn't make eye contact with the fake Ishiro in Bakuage 37. It made me think, "Iuchi Haruhi is amazing!"
Iuchi: That makes me happy! I thought that Taiya would definitely be pissed off with them using the appearance of his trusted partner, so I tried not to look at the impostor.
Hayama: Well, it's not like I actually cared or anything (everyone laughs).
Miyazawa: You definitely wanted to be the one to win him over in the end (laughs).
Suzuki: Haruhi's Taiya has such delicate facial expressions, that it made me want to look at him all the time. For the scene where everyone sings "Niji" in Bakuage 24, I think the expression on his face conveyed a variety of emotions, such as sadness at remembering the past and happiness that everyone was there.
Saito: If I had to pick a good scene, I really liked the one where he's cradling the deceased Bundorio. If I were to shift gears, in the episode where Toilet Grumer appears for a second time, the footage of him going "Cranked up! Cranked up!" made it look like he was having alot of fun (laughs).
Iuchi: It was alot of fun (laughs).
Suzuki: Iuchi Haruhi's blood was boiling with excitement (laughs).
Soma: I'm going to speak about Haruhi rather than Taiya, but in flashback scenes, you can clearly sense that he's younger, and watching them made me think that he was skilled at making detailed distinctions in his performance
Miyazawa: Ever since joining in Bakuage 16, I've often thought to myself, "The man named Iuchi Haruhi is immeasurable." Especially in the final episode when he said, "Let's all hurry," I was once again glad that Iuchi Haruhi was Red, and I admired the grand way in which he would lead by example.
-A message of gratitude to our supporters-
Iuchi: Whenever we performed at an event, I could feel that tons of people, from children to adults, were supporting us, and we were also very happy with the feedback we received on SNS. There were people who said, "Watching Boonboomger gave me the push I needed" and, "It fills me with energy," and thanks to everyone's support, we were able to see things through to the end, and there was a feeling that we were creating this production together with you. We're truly grateful. After this, we're looking forward to seeing you at Theatre G-Rosso's "Boonboomger Tour" and the "Final Live Tour." Thank you very much! And, we're looking forward to your continued support! _
Matsumoto Rika x Screenwriter Tomioka Atsuhiro
-Everyone's dreams came true over the past year-
"We were surprised at the final battle, in which Taiya and the resurrected Bundorio, entrusted with the thoughts of their friends, settle the score with the final boss Spindo."
Tomioka: That development wasn't what I had in mind from the beginning of production, but was decided on after consulting with Producer Kuji. The battle as a giant Robo would be done in Bakuage 44, so I ultimately wanted Boon-chan to settle his feud with Spindo in a form that would be visible to everyone. Although Boon-chan is a giant Robo, I also wanted to emphasize his role as Taiya's invaluable best friend.
Matsumoto: It's something that's never happened before. Boonboomger was really packed with unconventional things.
Tomioka: Yeah, we tried out various things over the past year (laughs). It was trial and error, but I always thought about what kind of developments would make children, or main viewers, excited and anxious. Especially with Boon-chan, I feel that it was a year where I was trying to figure out how to present him as one of the group's heroes.
Matsumoto: I think it left a lasting impression on everyone and was really wonderful.
"We think that because Bundorio was so loved, the development turned into him and Taiya finishing things together."
Matsumoto: Really? It makes me happy when you put it that way……(laughs). In the beginning I was told, "Matsumoto Rika's voice drowns out everything else," and in fact, when I watched Bakuage 1, my own voice was all over the place, and I was worried as I thought, "Is this really gonna be alright?" (laughs), but I'm glad that I kept working hard.
Tomioka: Bakuage 1 started with the goal of showcasing the heroes roll call and the giant Robo battle, but I wanted to show off that the Sentai Robo was talkative more than anything, so I think the direction of this program was settled on by having him talk so much (laughs).
Matsumoto: The first recording was so difficult that I lost my voice, but it felt more than twice as rewarding. People end up getting used to things, so before I knew it, I was saying, "Aren't there only a few lines?" (laughs). When I met with Suit Actor Fujita-san, we had tons of discussions. I was like, "Boonboom, please do more things" (laughs).
Kuji (who was also present): This is what resulted in the final episode (everyone laughs).
Matsumoto: Thanks to that, he changed up Bundorio's movements!! (laughs). Even when he was in the background, he was very active, so I also had to do my best in my performance. It was like we were working as one. Fujita-san's presence was very reassuring as I played Bundorio.
"How did you feel about Boonboomger over the past year?"
Tomioka: I've always wanted to write a live action drama, especially a transforming hero one, so I was deeply moved when I finally got to write a transformation scene. In particular, the depiction of Taiya's past was something I had thought about if I were to write a hero story, so although it was challenging, I was able to incorporate it, and I'm grateful to Kuji-san and all the staff members. On the other hand, due to various reasons, I regret that I wasn't able to depict the full magnitude of the Hashiriyans in more detail. When depicting an organization that's expanded by infiltrating and absorbing various planets, you need tons of strange looking characters, but there were so many different barriers that kept me from fulfilling that. This is an extravagant problem that comes with being involved with something like this (laughs), but even so, this past year was still a fun and valuable one. The most powerful thing was that the children, who were the main viewers, enjoyed watching the show.
Matsumoto: Everyone's teamwork was great, and I think I was able to do what I was capable of at the time without holding back. Just like putting on makeup, us Voice Actors are responsible for doing the final process of coloring in the characters by breathing life into them. However, I was able to participate in Boonboomger since the recording for the toys, and we were all able to work together on the creation of this production while sharing ideas. I want to express my gratitude for giving me the freedom I needed, and allowing me to join in on the fun everyone else was having. Also, because I sang the ending theme for "Ultraman Neos" and the opening for "Kamen Rider Ryuki," I wanted to sing a theme song for Super Sentai too.
Tomioka: That was something you absolutely had to conquer! (laughs).
Matsumoto: When I was told about the ending theme, I was overjoyed from the bottom of my heart as I thought, "Alright!!" In fact, when we were discussing how I should sing the ending while in character as Bundorio, an idea came to me that "it'd be interesting to sing it with the same vibes as Ueki Hitoshi-san."
Tomioka: Now that you say that, the lyrics do have similar vibes to his songs "Sudarabushi" and "Damatte Ore ni Tsuite Koi."
Matsumoto: That's what I was aiming for, to give Bundorio a human touch rather than being cool. I really enjoyed my year as a member of Boonboomger, and I'll be happy to continue singing "KotsuKotsu PONPON" for as long as I live in order to bring smiles to everyone's faces.

WELL WELL WELL WELLLLLLLLL!!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
LOOK WHO'S BACKKKKKKKKKK
He came back to whoop Hashiriyan's asses and that was soooooo fucking cool!!!
Haruhi said this in his cast blog and it was very interesting.
Tumblr media
First, After all, Everyone's favorite, Chasshiro is back! There's no such thing as betrayal, He's indeed two-face spy. It was really cool to see him doing work as spy at the end! By the way, Of course that Taiya believed in him!! Even though Taiya was surprised when Chasshiro left Boonboomger, He wasn't too waver because he believed in Chasshiro. "I believe in him!" This outcomes happen because of Episode 37!
I WAS RIGHT ABOUT THIS!!! THANK YOU FOR CONFIRMATION, HARUHI!! AND AS EP 37 BELIEVER I'M SO HAPPY!!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I always think that Taiya was surprised because of Ishiro suddenly threw BoonboomChanger to the monster. But when he read Ishiro's eyes, He noticed something. So he didn't angry or disappoint at all. Instead smiled at him. And had some eyes contact for them to communicate to understand what each other gonna do next. (Yep, Even though it made Taiya felt lonely. I was thinking that maybe he was like "Well, I know that he's doing his works. But I'm still lonely when you aren't be by my side")
Even though after that, The outcome turned soooooo bad I need huge amount of copium to cope for a long damn time. I even had to rely on Kansai boys who're doing their jobs so hard (flirting at G-Rosso).
But in the end is just them, who believe in each other no matter what happen. Their love is the key to the victory for real lol. (Of course the bonds with everyone too don't get me wrong. When they do their part and gather here again to whoop the villain's ass was so cool.)

Yes, This is them. The absolute trust in each other, telepathic eyes-reading husbands. My beloved.
Ps. And Kansai pair still being precious. I think they both so happy their character came back to be with each other again. AND YUKI EVEN USED 🟥🟦 EMOJI!!! He knew so damn well lol

Ps 2. Look how Taiya look at Ishiro in this (From G-Rosso Commercial) What's wrong with that eyes!? That's the eyes of someone who's soooooooo down bad lmao.

I won't allow my siblings to continue robbing humans of their happiness! I want to keep their happiness safe, and I will! That's my role in the human world from now on.

the chaotic imagin meets the lawful sovereign
it's been 2 years since i got into tokusatsu and to celebrate this year i wanted to draw my first favorite and my favorite from the past year together!
rita probably can't put ryuta on trial since he's a minor but they can at least punish him via snowman:

okay, i wanted to wait until i watched the movie to give my thoughts on build but i have so here i go:
- absolutely peak toku but i dont think im saying anything new there. has shot up to one of my favourite seasons of toku in general
- incredibly homosexual and i hope its clear thats a compliment. apparently this show coined "heated drama between men" and that is a v accurate description. every man in this show is a disaster bisexual
- sento was a fantastic protagonist and really sold the internal conflict most of the time. i liked that he was a showman but not seriously an ass about it. he is textually in love with banjo ryuuga.
- banjo my beautiful stupid meathead. the dumber the man the more i enjoy him, i want to put him in a leash. he is textually in love with kiryuu sento.
- ill rank kasumi and gentoku together since they're paired up the most: enjoyed them a lot before they became mostly comedic relief, and then i still liked them just less. LOVED the t shirt bit. these men are gay for each other and haven't realized.
- sawa and misora... this franchise just isnt for the girlies 😔😔 wish they mattered more. still liked them a lot just wish they did more overall
- the SUITS omg... the suits are so fucking good. base rabbittank sparkling the pride suit (genius), all of banjos forms... peak suit designs mostly
- the plot had me GRIPPED until the final bits but i still had a pretty good time even then, and i apparently am not alone in that. still, everything that was set up was so good that it mostly carries the final bits
- needed more motorcycle stunts, feels like he stopped using that v early
very good show and very good introduction to kamen rider, i am hyped for more!! i am taking a bit of a break and then watching some other show
short movie review:
- even gayer than the main show
- movie form was very good and very gay
- should have ended with them holding hands
- what the fuck happens in zi-o

BBG's Kansai Pair, The saviors who're saving all entire nation from the despair.
They did so many things in G-Rosso stage play to save us from the long time angst in main story since the start of 2025. Many things like...
Lots of skinship (Usually shoulder touch or little massage)
Leaning to each other pretty close.
Shoulder hug and they faces were so close it's almost able to kiss on the cheek.
Teasing and making Ishiro blush so hard his ears turn red.
Recreating first encounter scene.
MC asked what do you like about Taiya? "Do you have like 8 hours for me to talk?" / "Everything. He's the man that I fell in love."
"My goal this year and from now on will never change, To support Taiya"
"He's the first person who I really think that I wanna follow." "I'll keep counting on you from now on too."
Playing some little game together.
When Ishiro doesn't wanna dance so Taiya have to find him and when he found Ishiro, "You can't run away from me" / "Don't think that you can get away from me."
Or doing "Shall we dance" thing.
Piggyback ride.
Catch with air rope and pull closer until they can hug.
Taiya fixing Ishiro's tie.
"If we're family, I'm a dad." "That's mean I'm a mom."
Having fun time playing game and too focus they both leaked Kansai dialect.
And many many more that I couldn't gather all of it.

Kaku-san and Kaku-san This was the second time they pranked me by switching places. This time I had a one-rally conversation without being able to detect it. Next time I will try to do better. Thank you for the food!!

This time you were too distracted by the ice cream that was given to you 😄
