WAHHHH I LOVE THIS 🥺🥺🥺 the pining and flirting and slowburn of it all… model!satoru and his favorite designer suguru geto, both of them undeniably skilled and born with an eye for fashion….. well-known and adored……..

designer!suguru who gets tasked with showing you the ropes, who’s always so patient and kind despite your inexperience. diligent with his teaching but also so laidback, so easy to talk to… he looks intimidating, but he’s so polite that you can’t help but swoon a little. and he admires your enthusiasm so much…… grows fond of you soooo quickly bc you’re just such a breath of fresh air compared to the divas he’s forced to work with all the time. he thinks you’ve got real potential and he wants to nurture it.

and ofc you end up running into model!satoru eventually…. bc he’s always hanging around suguru whenever he gets the chance. and he’s maybe a little jealous that you’re hogging so much of his personal designer’s attention, but… he also thinks you’re so cute . T_T like a little puppy following suguru around… so excited to be apart of what you’ve dreamed of for so many years……… he looks into your eyes and sees the same sparkle he had before he made it big, and it makes his heart race.

yeah . i’m just thinking abt the peaceful coffee breaks with suguru….. how he’d insist on paying for your drink, ”since he’s your senior” (he wants to be your favorite </3)…… and how he’d just be so protective over his little intern. don’t get me started on the close proximity with satoru when you’re taking his measurements, the glance and smile he sends your way during an impromptu shoot… the way he always calls for you with a sweet coo of ”how’s my favorite intern doing today?”

I’ve been a huge fan of Glass Scientists for… what’s it been like… 7 years? Something like that.. anyway I’m super happy to see it getting more recognition AND EVEN GETTING PUBLISHED??? I got volume 2 the other day and in reading the after words about Jasper I figured I HAD to draw him and talk about why he is SO important to me and why I’m so thankful he exists the way he does. There’s so much else I could say about this series and how much I adore it and how important it is to me but for here I’m just gonna focus on Jasper and why he is so incredibly important to me.

It’s.. not something I talk a lot about but to anybody who pays attention to me on here, it’s probably pretty obvious that I’m trans. Or maybe not. My best friends didn’t know for like 2 years until I made a joke about taking my t shots lol.

When I first started reading glass scientists I didn’t know I was trans. And ultimately this isn’t really a story of how I found out, to be completely blunt it kinda just happened and I’m like yeah, I’m way more comfortable this way, this is just who I am.

After coming to terms with being trans, I found a lot of comfort in many of the characters in Glass Scientists. Over the years something really resonated with me more and more about Jasper.. I always appreciated how yeah, he’s a guy and he’s also soft! And sweet! And I know how much of a walking talking trans man stereotype I am but it felt so nice to see a male character acting and feeling the way I do, bad posture and all.

A few years later and the pages where Jasper talks about being trans drop and HOOH BOY

Everything in these few pages just felt so real and personal to me. Like I had lived this experience of coming out before, as it’s something I and many other trans folk have had to do over and over again. The way Jasper talks about his journey, the way Rachel sees him and the way that the story just continues on with Jasper just.. being who he is. Especially in a world with almost no transmasc representation in media???? This was MONUMENTAL for me. I didn’t really know it was possible to be so seen and so understood in a piece of media.

The real kicker was Rachel’s line about how Jasper must have been so uncomfortable. As someone who’s been lucky enough to have a lot of support, and a loving partner who has been nothing short of incredibly kind and patient and understanding, that line just. I dunno it makes me tear up a little (a lot) every time I read it. That understanding and acknowledgment in those few little words means the world to me.

I wanted to write this out and be a lil vulnerable here after reading how Sage was worried about their portrayal of Jasper. Idk if they’d ever see this, but I wanted to get it out there that as a trans man myself, Jasper is perfect. I’m so thankful that Jasper exists in the story as he does, and that so much love and care went into portraying him. I get the same feeling reading that scene with Rachel and Jasper as I’ve had being comforted by friends and family. It’s so personal and touching. Thank you for writing Jasper the way he is <3

Still drives me absolutely bonkers thinking about the moment you first start to change and become human in Lies of P, is the moment after you fight Romeo and go back to the hotel. Sophia notes you don’t look so good after she mentions the necklace Romeo had— the one that says “To Romeo from your friend C”. It visibly affects you and you’re not sure why just yet.

Where only after that, you hear Romeo’s voice whisper “Carlo” and suddenly you have physically changed. Your hair is longer, your shoulders are broader, you have physically been altered because encountering Romeo and hearing him say that name awakened something deep within you that wants out.

And the menu screen where your very heart sits is now the Opera House in flames with a bundle of white stargazer flowers sitting beside it.

Nosy was having a perfectly fine day, thank you very much - until that happened.

It started innocently enough. The little Niffler was up to his usual shenanigans, skulking behind a long curtain that swayed gently in the breeze - a perfect hideout for his shenanigans - when a grey-striped menace dared to hiss at him. Hiss?! At Nosy?! The audacity!

Nosy let out a defiant honk, his teal fur bristling in indignation. Who did that furball think he was dealing with? He reached out, ready to teach the cat a lesson in respect. But the cat lunged first, swiping a paw dangerously close to Nosy’s snout.

"HEY! Come away from there!" a voice suddenly barked. The striped terror was scooped up by a tall figure before Nosy could react. He watched, wide-eyed, as the young wizard scolded the feline with a stern "Tsk."

Nosy let out a disgruntled honk, wobbling closer to inspect the situation. Good riddance, he thought smugly, satisfied that the intruder had been dealt with appropriately. His victory was short-lived, however. The human had barely set the cat down when he turned his attention to the teal-furred troublemaker.

The boy crouched, placing a slice of bread in front of the Niffler. Nosy’s eyes sparkled as he stared at the offering: a piece of toast, thickly spread with glistening red jam. His tail started to wiggle as he edged closer, cautiously sniffing the treat.

“Sorry, little one,” the wizard said gently. “Hope he didn’t hurt your tealness. Here’s something for you.”

Nosy tilted his head at the dark-haired boy, weighing the sincerity of the apology. But he jam glistened so temptingly in the light that, after a very short moment, Nosy decided he would graciously accept this peace offering. Waddling forward, he snatched the jammy treat in his paws with an approving chirp and started to nibble the sweet snack, crumbs sticking to his beak, he cast a look back at the feline now glaring at him from afar.

Victory is sweet, Nosy thought, wiggling his tail in triumph and stuck out his little tongue at the cat.

Also (this is the same anon who asked how Impulse confronted Grian a little while ago btw in case ur seeing a slightly pattern) would you feel like expanding on how the other hermits or non hermit lifers felt when they found out Grian made the life games? Or how they feel about the state he’s ended up in? (tho i completely get that that is probably a thing ur going to explore anyway im just having thoughts)

Anyway this is such a good au, ur writings fantastic and im loving what ur doing. As a writer myself I may be taking some notes on how u r writing these characters because the way you make us feel exactly what they r feeling is incredible!

I wish i could give more updates on hunger au's progress but to be completely honest with you anon, my irl life kinda uh 😅😅 just completely imploded right as i was getting back into the groove of things. I am making progress still, but its slower than i'd like-- by necessity ive had to emergency pivot my attention to more pressing matters going on rn 😭😭😭😭 trust me when i say its probably frustrating me more than anyone else at this point
