soap is the first one to stumble on your tumblr account. he originally got tumblr because he wanted inspiration for meal planning and thought about making his own fitness blog.

of course, he eventually went down the rabbit hole of hornyposting and after a few weeks, he discovered you.

you had started this blog to feel better about yourself, or at least that’s what you told yourself, maybe you just liked the attention. either way, you started off slow, posting in a sheer shirt or just a bra but not wanting to show off too much.

it only took a bit of prodding and pleading from your followers to get you to post your whole body. that’s where johnny first saw you, in a post where you did a full body reveal (sans face for obvious reasons). it had a few thousand notes and was the top picture for some of the tags you used.

soap practically felt his eyes bulge out of his skull at the sight of you, this perfect lass posting pics like that for free??? he was quick to follow you and then look at the rest of your posts, spamming you with likes as he went through your entire blog.

he contemplated keeping you to himself but knew the others would appreciate you just as much as he did, so he saved the original post he saw of you and sent it in the group chat. their messages were immediate, something to the effect of “holy fuck.”

that’s where the obsession with you started, and soap acted as their drug dealer, sharing in the group chat when you posted a new photo. of course, the other three knew that they could coax your username from johnny and they could make their own tumblr account to follow you but they found it more exciting getting your pics this way. one thing he did share with them was your throne wishlist which was full of lingerie and cute clothes you might want.

you had posted in sets you had gotten from other followers and the guys were interested in how they could buy you things too. your eyebrows practically disappeared into your hairline as you checked your phone and saw that your entire wishlist had been bought out. even the stuff that you put on there as a faraway desire, like the pair of mary jane’s you had been eyeing or the marker set that was too expensive to justify buying with your own money.

you always tried to thank people who bought from your throne personally, dming them on tumblr and sending exclusive pics in the things they bought for you. problem was, it was all under anonymous accounts and you didn’t get any messages owning up to the shopping spree. you decided to make a post asking who just bought you all that stuff and that you’d like to thank them.

soap was quick to message you, claiming responsibility for the gifts bought. you both get to talking and he mentions how he shares your pics with his mates, and how they get so excited when he sends a new picture of you. you respond back how you’re honestly so flattered, and you’d like to talk to them as well and thank them for their contribution to your wishlist.

eventually, you find some app or website that you can use to chat with them while not giving out any personal information. of course, when the things they ordered come in the mail, you make sure to send them plenty of videos and pictures.

they are hooked.

now it’s almost like you have four sugar daddies, paying for your bikini waxes (if you want them, they don’t mind hair down there yk), sending you money for groceries, for getting your nails done, or just because. sometimes, they even compete between the four of them to see who can make you the happiest (determined by the amount of exclamation marks you use when thanking them).

It’s been a couple years since you and Bakugo became in an exclusive relationship and despite you living in America, and only visiting during the summer you managed to get an intern job at a hero Agency in Japan relatively close to UA.

You swore this relationship wouldn’t work, but Bakugo was oddly persistent in you being his, and it didn’t take long to convince you your relationship would last simply because Bakugo never had eyes for anybody else. So it was either you or nobody.

He would occasionally send you package gifts of Japan snacks you wanted to try, and even sent you a bracelet that can send vibrations of the word “I love/miss you.” On it that you both never take off. It was hard only seeing him for 2 weeks out of an entire year for 3 years but it was worth it when you both graduated from high school.

You and him were mentally counting down the days and seconds when you were finally moving down to Japan for good and seeing your taller, and more muscular blonde boyfriend in his cut sleeved shirt made you squeal.

He looked even sexier from behind and in person.

“You’re choking me, girl.” You can hear a slight playfulness in his voice as he carries you up to hug with one arm. “Finally. Took you long enough.”

The ride back to UA was a bit nerve racking for your Blondie. He never told anybody about you, it wasn’t necessarily a secret, but it definitely wasn’t something he just outed to tell people. The only person that was aware of you and met you in his life was his parents and Aizawa mainly because he needed his approval for you to come to his dorm before you head to stay at your hotel.

You on the other hand was excited. Finally get to see some of Japan’s future amazing hero’s . You heard a lot about them through social media and Bakugo.

Upon entering the first person you encounter was Deku walking past and he freezes seeing you.

“I—oh hello! My name is Izuku—-“

“Izuku Midoriya yeah I’ve heard about you.” You grin, Deku immediately getting warm in the cheeks hearing your slight accent as you speak to him in Japanese. you sounded so cute. “Nice to meet you I’m Y/N.”

It didn’t take long until Denki walked in, then Sero, Kiri, Mina, and everybody else swarmed around you. Assuming you were a new student for the college semester, but it annoyed Bakugo seeing how close and interested the guys were getting towards you, and even Mina giving you a few flirtatious compliments he had to clear the air.

“She’s my girlfriend.” He deadpanned. Which left the entire common room to go radio silent.

“Your WHAT?”

Bakugo wasn’t sure if he should blast the room out or just take you to his room and be done with this. But you spoke up for him instead.

“Yes, me and him met a few years ago during high school and—“

“That mission we took overseas?” Shoto asked softly. You nodded.

“So THAT’S why you disappeared so many times—“

“SHUT UP NERD.” Bakugo cut Deku off from possibly yammering aloud what he recalled from that week.

You didn’t go into much detail of your relationship besides how long you both been dating and why you’re here. Eventually a few questions about your hair, you had on Boho Braids and many of the girls were so amazed on how beautiful your skin and hair was.

Eventually the questions began to die down and your boyfriend was getting antsy waiting for you in his room.

It was a blessing and kind of annoying because he took your baggage in his room and freshened it up a bit for you to feel comfortable.

You said your goodnights and goodbyes , hearing a few snickering and giggles from Denki and Sero as Bakugo comes to snatch get you back to his room.

“They were so nice.”

“And a pain in the ass.” He grumbles locking his door.” They didn’t ask you any uncomfortable questions did they? “

I just finished watching the Willow tv series yesterday. really big fan of how they play with the chosen one trope, and I especially loved the the Elora/Kit foiling and their exploration of faith and vulnerability. and yes, I did indeed watch it after watching Bottoms and realising I have a big ole crush on Ruby Cruz and knew she played a snarky lesbian knight princess (Kit) in Willow. heard a lot of conflicting things about if the show is cancelled or just on hiatus, but the creator seems positive about wanting to continue the story somewhere down the line, and I really hope they do *shakes fist at disney plus*

plants that can grow in the desert! I was thinking for the thousandth time about RWBY and what might come up in the Vacuo arc. With how there's so many people living there now and it being heavily emphasized how much they're lacking in resources as a kingdom, but it once being a thriving oasis, I was curious about what edible plants can be grown in a desert biome, since trying to grow their own food and help the land recover seems to be one of the most basic steps forward to improve things for people and kingdom alike. Turns out a lot of food can be grown in the desert with the right knowledge and care! cucumbers, peppers, prickly pears, passion fruit, tomatoes, corn, beans, melons, among many others! it was a pretty interesting rabbit hole to go down (in RWBY I still think a little elemental help from the maidens and maybe a farm hand might still be of use though for helping food to grow)

I noticed this ask so late, sorry !

I'll be honest, I'm not too clever when it comes to headcanons 💔

but if I had to really try and think of something, then I imagine Swindle would go out of his way to get Bumblebee precious gifts; he keeps mental notes of the small autobot's interests, and somehow always finds a way to get him exactly what he wants (ESPECIALLY limited-edition items that Bee mentioned he wished he could own at some point)

he says he does it out of the goodness of his own spark, but he'll always ask for a little something in return, no matter what (it would otherwise greatly hurt his image as a respectable business man, after all !)

he tries to not ask for favors that are too big and difficult to achieve, though; stuff like outright betraying the autobots or snitching important info is a no-go, and something they've probably argued about in the past (even if it had probably been mentioned as a joke)

(May or may not have started the war bc they both didn’t want the other to have her…) And the only way they could show their love for her is by like fingering her valve and stuff….Megatron gets the chance to be all alone with her and takes advantage of it, fingering her and showing her who’s better. Summary - Optimus and Megatron get a chance for your love by fingering you.

You have been one of the many leaders of the Beastformer clans and both Megatron and Optimus fell in love with you. The war has made it very hard for either of them to see you, which would make the war worse. Finally, Optimus has spotted you on Earth and Megatron sees you not long after. Both have gotten a lot more interested and motivated to fight again…but what they didn't know was how much you couldn't give two fucks. These two fighting for you has gotten to far and you separated from them for a reason. You tried so hard to get them to stop the battles, but it never worked so you haven't seen them for hundreds of years. Optimus has always loved you for your caring nature while also being mature. Megatron on the other hand loves you for being a good fighter, while also having a fierce personality. Living in the wild for all your life, both the mechs lives seemed so impossible for you to be in, and their little fight wasn't cute at all. You never felt any romance for them during the years, but honestly if they turned their acts around, you would give them a chance.

Running around the forests, you ran all the way to the deserts of Nevada. You smell someone's scent that smelled familiar, so you stay in your tiger form to follow the trail. Optimus Prime's body is seen around the corner of your optics. Quickly hiding above him on some rocks, you watch silently as he seemed to be scouting around the place. Optimus was trying to destress from the last battle that happened yesterday. Megatron has gotten worse ever since he spotted your tiger form around the area, and it have made Optimus a lot more irritated. On the inside, he felt so angry their fight has gotten so far, but honestly if it was for your affection and respect, he might as well keep going. He felt as though someone was there around him, so Optimus transforms his servo into a gun. Looking around the rocky mountains, he didn't sense you up above as you go into pouncing position. With a little aft wiggle, you jump onto Optimus and pin him to the ground. Optimus was scared it was a Decepticon attack, but now can see it was you. You make a deep growl and sniff his faceplate. "You seem jumpy."

Optimus smiles a little and pets you, rubbing your ears with a friendly hello. "I haven't seen you in so long." You press your head on his servo, loving the touch you haven't received from him in years. "Well maybe stop the war, and I will see you both more often." Looking at Optimus with serious eyes, he disappointedly stops petting you. "You know he will never stop until the Autobots are no more." Ugh, these bots are annoying you at this point. Every time they give you a more stupid excuse. "Well than I can't chose unless one of you earned to be my conjunx." Optimus perks up at what you said. Soooo, they have a chance? Finally, now he has to figure out what you want. "I can give you something like a gift? Or maybe I can itch around your back, I know it can be difficult for you to touch around that area." You chuckle at his cute little requests and transform in your mech form, standing over him and reach your hand out for him to grab. He grabs your hand and you help pull him up back to his feet. "If you really want me to think about you being my conjunx, than you would have to screw me." You laughed at the little joke you made, Optimus blushing mad. It was hilarious to tease both of them with such sensitive topics. You have teased Megatron about politics before and you had no idea how mad that guy could get. Seeing the Prime flustered was so cute in your eyes, but what you didn't know what he was going to say right after. "Well…what would you like me to do than." You stopped in shock from what he just said. No, he can't be serious. Was the leader of the Autobots really going to interface with you just to have you? "Wha-no. I won't do something that you are not comfortable with, I will not force you to interface with me just for my hand." Optimus loved your gentleness and care for him. It was making his love for you worse. "No no y/n, I would like to. I may have not done this type of thing since the war, but I still wouldn't mind such an event." Holy crap this can't be happening. I mean, you would like to have someone do this with you, but knowing that someone was going to be Optimus? Maybe giving him a chance wasn't such a bad idea? "Well, if you use your servos and please me to my liking. I would think about it."

Cut to you being gently placed against one of the rocky walls of the canyon. He first starts by petting your ears and face plating, which was very much appreciated. Your tail flicks around and goes in-between your legs. Optimus was very good at petting you, it made your purr loudly. He thought you were so cute when you were in this state, but he knew he couldn't continue this forever. His servos start to slide down and massages around your hips and lower stomach. "Mmmm, well aren't you a charmer." You tease him again with a little smirk. Optimus blushes again, but continues the massage down to your thighs. This made you pretty relaxed and you lean your head against the stone wall. Before he can put his servos on your panel, your tail moves to cover it. You never could control what that tail could do, it only acts base on your emotion. Were you embarrassed about doing this outside? Maybe you were just challenging him by seeing what Optimus would do. He looks to see if you are ok while he pushes aside your tiger tail away. He pops your panel off and sees your wet valve. The prime just stares at it for a while, realizing he is about to do something Megatron wishes he could do at this moment. His servo cups around your valve and rubs against your folds. Your back arches just a little as you sweetly moan out. Optimus was gentle yet firm with his movements, it was honestly such a better feeling then you expected. Prime!" Optimus closes his eyes and puts another inside your walls, making you moan louder. He listened to the music he was hearing coming from your mouth as he fingers you. Pumping in and out of your valve, your ears flicked down and your tail wrap around his arm. Optimus couldn't ask for anything better to look at, you were so pretty while in such a vulnerable position. Your mind was clouded from the pleasure and only the pleasure that the Prime was giving to you. You felt like you were going to release, so you put yours hands over your mouth, but Optimus stops you by having his other servo grab yours, taking them away from your mouth. "Please Mmmm! Optimus!" He watch as you cum on his digits, dripping out of your valve and on the ground. He takes his fingers out of your valve and lick the juices in front of you off his servo. "Come back when you are done thinking about it."

It has been a few days since this happened, and Megatron was told from Soundwave the report of him flying over the canyon. The Decepticon Leader was furious! How dare Optimus do it with you first! He hated that you now probably have Optimus' scent all over you, though this could be a good opportunity for him to also show you that he was better than Optimus in earning your hand as a conjunx. All the rules were was to finger you until you were pleased? He could do a lot with that.

Running around, digging your claws in the ground, you were back again at scouting around as you find The Decepticon ship in the sky. It seemed to be very low to the ground for some reason, which distracted you from sensing Megatron walking up to you from your left. "So, did you make a decision yet?" You turn to see him standing a few yards away from your body. You transform into you mech form and give him an eyebrow. "What ever do you mean my friend?" He use to love when you call him names, but calling him a friend made his anger a little worse. "Optimus has already put himself onto you, have you already chose him or did you come to my area to give me a chance?" He watches as your cheeks get a bit heated from what he said. You didn't want to admit, but interfacing with someone was the best thing you have ever felt in so long. You haven't said yes to Optimus yet…so maybe having another round would get your mind to make a decision. You walk over with narrow optics and start to circle Megs, your tail grazing his leg. "If I choose one of you, will you both be able to end this war?" Before Megs could reply you interrupted him with "even if I choose neither?" Oh did that get him a bit nervous, but he wouldn't show it. He was so stubborn on wanting you to love him, he didn't even think of you not picking either of them again and letting them starve again by not showing yourself again for years. You feel him grab your tail tightly, which made you hiss automatically from the physical movement. Megatron shows you an evil smirk, which made you silent. "That is a high possibility. So, up to give me a chance?" You think about it for a little; why not let him try? Your tail tightens around his wrist and you stick you glossa out at him. "If you got the skills, than go ahead."

You are now in the air against a tree in the forest area of Nevada. Megatron is holding you up with one servo grabbing your two wrists above your head, while he starts to lick your neck. Not going to lie, you were a bit nervous with how close his teeth were to you, but you knew he would never hurt you…badly. Megatron saw you as a gem. Something to protect yet want for him to have for the rest of his life. He wanted to keep you in his thrown room, imagining how you would just be in beast form and lay next to his feet. He will never admit how much he adores you in a romantic way, wanting to wake up to you clinging onto his arm with your tail wrapped around his leg. He wanted you to be able to freely do whatever you like and if you wanted anything, he would give it to you in seconds. Going back to the sex, he takes his free servo and goes in-between your legs, but not to grab your panel, but your aft. He starts to rub the area and feels your tail start to wrap around his wrist. Your panel pops by itself and he stopped moving. He didn't realize how beautiful you looked down there, being able to now stare at your valve made him even more motivated to get you for himself. He starts to push two digits inside you, trying not to cut you with his sharp claws. You moan out, missing the lovely feeling again. He goes as deep as he could before you feel a third digit pushing inside you, spreading your walls a bit. "Megs! O-oh Primus!" You struggle a little from his tight grip, your back arching while he pumps his three digits inside of you. He was a lot more rough than Optimus, though that didn't ruin anything. You loved how Megs just used you like you were nothing, biting your chest and licking your wounds while he feels your body trying to escape his arms.

You cum for the second time, your legs shaking a bit from not having enough energy inside you to stand. Megatron slowly sits you down on the ground, letting you make a small puddle while he catches his breath. He wasn't that tired, it was just the fact that he was being a bit too rough with his servo which got it to feel a bit sore. He was blinded with so much anger and lust, he finally thought for a moment if he hurt you at all. Megatron never felt guilty for doing violent things, but to you? He would never want to hurt your beautiful frame. He observe your weak form and finds a bunch of bite marks all over your upper torso and shoulders. He was going to say something, but you beat him to it. "W-well, that was quite lovely. I'll take my time to think about it, you were a bit interesting~" What you weren't telling him though, was that you are going to try to find a way to pick both.

after the sweet date that jaemin took you on a couple months ago, you both got closer and.. he finally asked you to be his girlfriend. he couldn’t be happier and neither could you- you felt true happiness that you haven’t felt before in a relationship. he treat you so sweetly and always was there for you no matter what - looking after you in the cafe when everything got a little busy, helping with studies if you were behind. vice versa, you were always there for him as well, listening to his never ending rants about his friends (mainly jeno which didn’t surprise you).

For your Bread Girl Au, do Gabriel and Emilie still have the peacock miraculous and the Grimoire? In canon Emilie gifted the Grimoire to Gabriel on a trip they went to Tibet, so would that be the same in this au? Or does Sabine have it? And what about Adrien being a sentimonster, how does that work? Is the sentimonster thing not canon here, or did Emilie and Gabriel find another way to create Adrien magically without consequences. Also, what's the relationship between the kwamis like? I can see Plagg being like a chaotic big brother figure to your au's Marinette rather than the "I'm not your dad except I totally am" figure he plays to Adrien in canon, and Tikki being a mother hen figure to Adrien (I think it's rare for the ladybug miraculous to choose men? So Tikki might be extra protective of Adrien while also being confused cause this is the first time a boy has been chosen for her. Also Adrien could remind her of Joan of Arc and THAT brings up feelings.) rather than the cheerleader/mentor figure she plays to Marinette in canon. Idk, I have alot of thoughts about your au and I just love it so much!!!

Gabriel doesn't have the Grimoire and since he went through a much different life experience, he's a different man than he might have been. In my drafts there is an already fully sketched out comic about him, so I won't be saying too much yet :)

Senti-monsters are canon here. Adrien is a normal human boy though. I might even fuck with the canon way they make sentimonsters a bit, you know, for the plot. Bread girl is Bread girl for a reason

I haven't really thought about the kwamis yet, it's a bit hard to implement such powerful beings. They're a cool plot device, but just like smartphones, they solve a bit too much problems for my liking. There's a reason in every horror plot ever there's suddenly no cell service, or the protagonists lose their phones for some reason

I thought I would repost to my blog to express generally: I'm here for anyone/everyone's conversations on any character or feelings any time. If anyone ever wants to chat on any character or topic, I'm interested in your thoughts.

I hope we can all try to discuss characters and events in S3 going forward in a way that shows consideration for each other. We're all so excited for S3, right? So let's make it even more fun for ourselves. It's up to us to create the space we want to be part of.

And in the end, it's interesting to discuss when you have different viewpoints even moreso than just totally agreeing with each other. As you can just reason with yourself in your own head to agree with yourself. I guess one thing we can take from Lestat and Nicki's conversation is the message that discussion from opposing viewpoints can be very fulfilling! As long as we're all aware we deeply care and so some points can touch nerves, so let's be mindful of that, while discussing all of the gothic glory.

I do realise I need to manage my expectations for S3. It's impossible Nicolas could be as important to any adaption as he is in my own heart, as I have thought on his experience so much, and he has meant so much to me for so long. And I don't imagine Nicolas will even be on screen nearly as much as I'd imagine, let alone hope, before we even get into what Lestat and Nicki's relationship might be. Obviously there are practical changes to the characters which we already know which will affect the story before additional adaptation. And of course, the TV show is heading towards its main endgame of Loustat... which the books do as well. But romance is one of many themes present in the books, whereas it's going to be the biggest feeling on TV (and lucky us as it already is beautiful and we are gifted with the combination of writing and casting and all creativity to make it the epitome of all it can be!)

Also, in terms of shipping generally (& not particularly relevant to IWTV, where obviously Loustat are meant to be!) there's obviously love and things that aren't love. However, specific ships aside... why would anyone wish to rank any love against each other? If you or someone you know in real life loved another human and that relationship ended... you can think in extreme terms for example it being ended by death, but you can also just think of a breakup or falling out of love... and then you fall in love again. Does loving someone new make the love you once had less? No. Is something new lesser because you loved in the past? No. That something ends doesn't mean it never was. Even when it ends badly or fades away. If your first partner died and you loved them, could you never love again? Of course you could. And could your new love be the love of your life, even if you deeply loved before. Of course.

There are powers vampires have that humans do not, but an infinite capacity for love is happily something any of us can possess. Would you rank every love of your own or that another person has on a scale of more or less? It's silly, isn't it? Every love is different because what is between people is different. But even in short, human lifespans, it is possible to genuinely love, deeply, more than just once in a lifetime and without having to quantify it. Again, none of that is VC related. I just wanted to shift the perspective on love in general.

Going back to our vampires: we're not talking about humans. We have immortal vampires. And hopefully, with Loustat, the show will want to convey some kind of poignant message about what love could be if you had eternity to know and understand and accept and love each other... and your selves. And Loustat will have that. Lucky them. And lucky us who'll get to feel every ounce of what Jacob and Sam will convey for Louis and Lestat. And given what they already have conveyed - oof - how much more we have yet to feel!

Love and accept the entirety of each other... and of your selves too, our vampire friends.

OK, I want to weigh in on the Nicolas discussion. I don’t want to do it anonymously because I prefer conversations where we talk to each other in person, knowing who we are.  I am aware you have written several long posts on Nicolas already now and are likely sick of discussing him by this point.  And I can see you dislike him and that’s fine, though I am a bit scared to send this, only because I love Nicki.  We don’t need to agree though.  And I obviously know Nicolas is a (deeply! To say the least!) flawed being. Nicolas himself would obviously agree with that!  I know we will disagree as I believe human Nicolas truly loved Lestat, as much as was possible for a deeply damaged person such as him to, but I think I don’t think picking at an issue we have opposite viewpoints on is the way to find common ground here.

So I mainly want to say that there are those of us who love Nicolas and always did, for himself.  Nicolas was a very important character to me when I first read The Vampire Lestat when I was 12 - for himself, unconnected to Lestat, honestly.  Likely I didn’t understood the full depth of his cynicism then.  But I think I did have some idea.  In any case, I felt exactly the same way Nicki does about his violin playing, about myself.  And it’s way deeper than just the violin playing.  How Nicolas feels about that is a reflection of how he feels about himself and how he feels about the world, as I see it.  This is a way of perceiving oneself which was a way I saw myself that I had never seen written in fiction before or since and I had never heard any other real person speak that they perceived themself in this way, nor did anyone appear to understand how I perceived myself.  And I had had that kind of self-perception always (I have examples of how I felt aged 5 that would relate.)  As such, Nicolas was deeply meaningful to me because he remains a representation in art of how I see myself and of how I experience existence.  (I am not saying I am like Nicolas in all ways.  I have some of his nihilistic worldview, but I am 100% with Lestat in Lestat’s idealism and I am absolutely way more positive than Nicki, thankfully!  If only I could be with Lestat in his enduring practical skills too.  Alas, I have zero of Lestat’s skills in any area!)

Anyway, I don’t want to get into discussion of minute details of the books (unless you want to!  I’m happy to!  But I think it’s pointless when your stance is clear) but your posts have seemed to me to suggest there’s something disingenuous about people loving Nicolas, so I suppose I just wanted to say that isn’t the case for all of us.  I can obviously only speak for myself.  I’ll just say I love Nicolas for himself, for the beauty and the tragedy of his relationship with Lestat and for the fact that he is dead because that he is dead is the whole point.  (I love tragedy and would kill all the characters I love most in art in the end myself!)

Since the previous anon discussed Nicki’s turning, I’ll chime in on that one point and will say I think it is good for both Lestat and Nicki that Nicolas was made a vampire only because I think things would have been even worse for both Nicolas and Lestat had Lestat not turned him.  Nicolas would have resented Lestat and lived for even briefer a time as a mortal than he did as a vampire.  And Lestat, though I think initially he might have felt he'd done the right thing to not turn Nicolas... Nicki's end was awful enough as it was.  Imagine the alternative: which absolutely would have been Nicolas dying young as a mortal.  And then Lestat would always have felt guilt and would have wondered *What if I had turned him, could I have saved him?* - which would perhaps be an unendurable what if for Lestat, because the potential he'd have to live with there is that maybe they could have lived immortally together, and Lestat would never be able to know the truth - which was that would never have been the case.  But imagine how awful that would have been for Lestat to endure for eternity.

Anyway, Louis and Lestat are meant to be together for eternity.  I find it deeply frustrating when people pit Nickistat and Loustat against each other in any way.  And while I hope we all agree that Jacob Anderson has deepened Louis in a beautiful way, personally I find that as Louis becomes a character who appears less often in the books, the way you understand and feel his deep and true love for Lestat only increases.  I adore about book Louis how you can feel his love and empathy without him even needing to put every feeling into words.  He is so suffused with love, you feel it emanating from the pages.  I also find it deeply frustrating if anyone pits Nickistat and Loustat against each other as I feel that Lestat loved Nicolas and… even if you think Nicki never loved Lestat, I hope you would agree that Nicolas allowed Lestat space to express his true thoughts and feelings on deep topics in a way Lestat had never truly experienced before… and I personally think this experience of having space to be seen as his full self is part of why Lestat is later able to love Louis from the first moment with an unconditional love where he loves the entirety of Louis.  And that Lestat is able to love Louis in this way, as I see it enables Louis to love Lestat unconditionally in return, in time and then Loustat are able to have a love for eternity.

I don’t know how much detail to go into.  I guess I wanted to respond because I want to say people can love Nicolas and it be nothing against Louis or Loustat and also people can love Nicolas for his book-self.  Your post where you refer to Nicki’s main point being to serve Lestat’s narrative makes me sad, because I hope I can feel from TV Nicolas as I do from book Nicolas.  (Which obviously doesn’t mean everyone has to like him.)  I hope Nickistat is beautiful and has meaning in order to make how it ends all the more painful and tragic.  Obviously it could be that way.  We haven’t seen what the TV show will give us yet.  But I want all of the big emotions myself.  So that’s what I hope for.

I honestly cannot understand conversations that pit Nickistat and Loustat against each other.  Nicki is long dead when Lestat meets Louis and even longer dead on TV.  And by that point, for Lestat, I think Nicolas will remain forever a cipher to what a human life could have been for Lestat.  His only experience of mortal love and life and creating art as a mortal, and loving art created in the moment by another mortal he personally loved was with Nicolas.  The idea of them living together: loving, creating, laughing, growing old and dying is an eternal “what if” that can never be reached.  The only impossible in an eternity of possible.  It never would have been like that.  It’s as imaginary as a fairytale.  But the imagining of what that could have been can never be tainted by reality for Lestat as it is impossible to reach it.  

Towards the end of Nicki’s life, I love the dichotomy that Lestat simultaneously cannot stand the sight of Nicolas AND cannot bear the thought of him not existing.  I love to feel both emotions coexisting.  And I love also that it is kinder at this point for Nicolas to die rather than to suffer as he does too.  Just as it was a kindness for Lestat to shoot his mare.  

I desire all of the complicated emotions.

Wow.  I didn’t mean to do so long an ask.  I basically just wanted to do a post wherein I give the perspective of someone who loves Nicolas and also loves Loustat, to say it doesn’t have to be exclusive.  However, I will also add that it’s NEVER ok to send hate to anyone for any reason.  Let alone something as small as different views on characters.

Sorry this is long.  You don’t have to answer as you must be sick of Nicki discussion now.  But I needed to write this… maybe selfishly, for me.

I'm glad you sent this, because it's a perfect example of how things used to be with the old school fandom. You are one of the few who seems to enjoy the character for the character himself, which is perfectly fine. Like I've said, I don't care who likes who or why. Just don't ignore the canon facts and act like someone wasn't what they were or act like a relationship wasn't what it was — I'm not saying you are doing this FYI. I'm saying it's what these anons are doing, and that has always been my issue and the fact there are certain ones hellbent on pushing this nonsense and harassing the ones who dare to say "actually no that's not the truth." I am glad you appear to be level-headed enough to not fall into that category, but that brings me to my advice based on my own personal observations of this new fandom mindset.

My advice is to distance yourself from ones like these anons who prove their fixations on Nicki are only because of a ship war. I mean, they tell on themselves with their own words and their childish tantrums and their passive-aggressive trolling, and they are making other genuine fans, such as yourself, look like clowns. As I said, the same thing happened with Loumanders, and I genuinely felt bad for the few real ones, because the bad seeds did their absolute best to ruin the entire bunch with their delusional bullshit, and that's exactly what is happening now with Nickistat fans. They are making the character into an utter joke and making it an insufferable topic filled with out of control fanon and ignoring the literal book canon in service of pretending like Nicki was this sweeping wholesome and tender love of Lestat's life who loved him so much and was so much better than Louis and so good to Lestat (again why is Louis even part of the discussion?) and was just an innocent and misunderstood mentally ill victim of Lestat's cruelty, and the book canon directly contradicts all of that. Again, the Loumanders did the same thing. I don't know if you remember all my insane "Loumand tender love" anons? It's history repeating itself, which brings me to something else about which I want to caution you as I can see this is deeply personal for you.

I hope the show depicts the relationship within the parameters of the book canon — the good and the bad and everything in between — and does it justice exactly because of what it represented for Lestat. I do actually agree with some of your points about how the relationship impacted Lestat and how it did provide him an outlet he'd never before experienced, and that just makes what eventually happened all the more horrific for Lestat.

However, as I have cautioned other Nickistat fans, I would prepare myself based on what Rolin did with Loumand. One could argue the two relationships are different, because Lestat genuinely loved Nicki and by default that makes it a different situation, and I am also beyond irritated and frustrated when these relationships are stupidly pitted against each other, but within the parameters of what Rolin is doing overall? They're not different, because what Rolin is doing is twisting everything in the show to revolve around Loustat and warping all the other relationships to juxtapose them with Loustat. He's also using other characters in service of Loustat (*cough* Claudia *cough*) at the detriment of the character's own story and the character's original meaning within the books, but that's also another discussion entirely and so I digress.

Rolin deliberately made Loumand into something it never was, something way more toxic and grossly fucked up with zero book canon to support this specific choice, exactly because he was contrasting it with Loustat. So I wouldn't be surprised when Rolin makes Nickistat even more toxic and fucked up than what it was to also contrast it with Loustat, because he's got actual book canon examples of Nicki's abuse and toxicity to expand upon and like I've already pointed out, he's already depicted Nicki as a jealous and pathetic drunk. Yes, it was during Armand's fanfic, but there are hints to the truth bleeding out, and Rolin has already clearly paralleled Nicki with Louis in service of Loustat. He is turning this material into a soap opera with Loustat at the heart of it, and I have a very complicated feeling towards that overall, but I don't write the show.

So I just hope you understand where I'm coming from when I relegate certain things to certain corners wrt Nicki stans being disingenuous, and it's exactly because that's what the fandom is doing even when they pretend otherwise. Like I said, they tell on themselves by constantly dragging Louis into a narrative he was technically never a part of, because Lestat had not even met him yet. It is literally impossible for Louis to have had any bearing on what happened between Lestat and Nicki. The only way this impacts Louis is because it so grievously damaged Lestat to the point his trauma from Nicki dictated his actions toward Louis.

I had hoped it wouldn't be like this with Nicki, but I should've known better, because unfortunately this fandom is polluted with the new era fans who make everything about shipping and make everything about getting attention and make everything about being "controversial" and make (ironically enough) everything about morality and make everything about the new era of media consumption i.e. they have to put everything into little black and white boxes of this or that being labeled XYZ to make it palatable and to give them a platform of identity to say "look at me and look at how smart I am and look at how virtuous I am to call out XYZ and here's a trendy buzzword vomit post to prove how good of a person I am." It all goes hand-in-hand and has literally ruined fandom by and large. It's why the fandom cannot move on from the tale of S1. It's why so many fics are human AU. It's why everyone harps on Lestat's "abuse" over and over. It's why Armand's behavior is being excused as autism. It's why Nicki's behavior is being excused as vague mental illness. It's why Louis is perfectly innocent in everything. It's why Gabrielle is being twisted into something she never was. They literally cannot get past their own performative, virtue-signaling need for head-pats, and they cannot understand that the concept of fucked up gothic media about vampires cannot function with these cute little labels and cannot function in these cute little black and white boxes of morality. Did you ever read the article that stated IWTV is a prestige show with a CW caliber fandom? That has been the most accurate thing ever said about this show, and that is beyond sad and sickening.

That is why I appreciate you sending this, because you've shown a perfect example of how things used to be. To be honest, the fact you've seen my posts on Nicki and, not only haven't blocked me, but also had the maturity to share your own feelings without hiding behind anon and in such a respectful way says a lot. I really do appreciate that, and I really do hope others will take a cue, because it is possible to have a respectful discussion and to agree to disagree over someone's feelings on a fictional character without shaming or name-calling or slapping on a buzzword label to blackball a person from simply having an opinion you don't agree with.

She heard the footsteps approaching her glass prison before she saw him. It wasn't very often that she would have him visit her but she still guessed that it must've been for the one thing he usually came for - to bring her food personally.

The heroine glared at him, not bothering to move closer. When he spoke, a brief expression of surprise flashed across her face. Her Birthday? Why did he know this? She was quickly reminded that wasn't the only sensitive information he had on her and she looked away for a moment. "Why do you care? I don't even know why you keep alive," she muttered, not sure if what she knew of his motive was reliable. He could've just killed her and go on to his next victim. Why keep her prisoner?

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw him place a few items on the rotating section of the desk before said items rotated to her side. Happy Birthday! How could he say such a thing?

Ochako glared at him for a little before noticing the smell of food coming from the tray on the desk. Reluctantly, she got up before examining her meal. Her meals were always very delicious and mouth-watering. Almost like she wasn't treated as a prisoner. She took a spoonful of the rice and vegetables before noticing the box. That was probably her gift. She couldn't deny it - she was a tiny bit curious.

So she moved to open the box and her eyes widened in surprise as a notebook lay inside. She pulled it out, examining the cover before flipping through the pages. It had a good feel to it. Her hand found the pen and slowly, she put the pen between the cover of the notebook. "I don't even know you. Why would you gift me anything on my birthday?" she asked and continued eating again.

What was happy about this birthday?

I feel you, so much *hugs if you're ok with hugs*. I've had this exact problem for decades, which is why I never like the stress and frustration that is shopping for clothes. It's so fucked up how the fashion industry either

a) wants us to vanish into the night, or constantly apologize for having to inflict our bodies on 'normal' folk where they can see (wear all black)

or

b) wants us to be as loud and obnoxious as possible, so 'normal' folk can point and laugh and thank their lucky stars they are nothing like us (wear obnoxious prints)

And no, I'm not pissing on everyone who likes one or the other, I'm just saying I want to be able to buy the kind of clothes I like for myself as well.

OK, ranting over. If you're interested in what I do, keep reading, if you just wanted to let of steam, I just wanted to say I hear ya*hugs again*

I get most of my things online, from snag or sheego, since they have at least more options, but I don't really like the sheego style, and snag does not carry a lot of natural fibres. I made do for the longest time, but then a friend gifted me his old sewing machine, and lately, I have started to make my own clothes. It has been eye-opening, to say the least.

I mostly made skirts and altered things I already own, since skirts are easy to make, and I realised that I really love wearing them. I wouldn't have thought so for a variety of reasons, but fuck that, I like wearing what I've made. It's so much better than anything I ever got from a shop, and not nearly as difficult as I thought.

I have not tried with jeans yet, but there's probably a way to alter them without too much hassle. And if you cannot do it yourself, maybe a friend can help? I don't know where you live, but we also have people who alter clothes in our community and neighbourhood for a few bucks.

I’m hardly the first person to make this observation, but I’ve been pretty solidly plus-sized for like three years or so due to a crazy amount of mystery weight gain that a lot of my doctors want to chalk up to the “COVID 20” or whatever, which is insanely annoying since for me it’s closer to the COVID 50 even though my habits didn’t change that drastically and also it happened in weird spurts of very rapid weight gain with a few plateaus but whatever. The point is I’ve been plus-sized but I haven’t always been plus-sized so I have perspective from both sides of the size spectrum or whatever and…

Why…why can’t I just find basics easily? Why is it every time someone says, “Oh, this store has plus sizes!” nearly every item is a loud-ass print that’s seems like it’s meant to distract and confuse people so they won’t have to focus on my size or the items are cut so poorly I will not want to wear them? Why are things cut so short-waisted and boxy??? I have a large chest and a long torso, which didn’t magically change just because I gained weight, and I feel like everything is cut boxy so I either have to size up for length, which makes everything feel even more shapeless, or if the store has Tall options (incredibly rare), I’ll order the Tall sizes despite the fact that I’m 5’6”.

None of my jeans fit. None of them. If they fit in the waist, they will be baggy everywhere else because I do tend to gain in my waist. But…like…a lot of women gain in their waists. Why will no jeans fit? I have on jeans right now that are supposed to be skinny cut and not a single person on this planet would think they were anything other than slightly baggy straight-legged jeans. And these aren’t cheap jeans. I often buy Madewell and, more recently, I bought a pair from Talbots.

And there is just so much animal print??? I remember a few years ago when I was first starting to look for plus-sized clothing, like every color option was black or leopard print. Once time, I grabbed some garment thinking it was going to be a solid color, and there was a leopard print racing stripe down the side. Why…why can’t I just get like a pretty green or burgundy or blue shirt with no crazy pattern that isn’t cut as if I’m trying to suffocate myself in cloth? Like, I’m not even looking for revealing clothing or overly tight clothing; I just don’t want to look like I’m trying to dress entirely shapelessly? I historically like swing dresses or A-line dresses and boatneck tshirts and skinny jeans or boyfriend jeans and I feel like my options without dipping into loud prints or just dressing in black every day are extremely limited.

(I know I keep railing against loud prints. Here’s the thing: I occasionally go for a loud print. And if that’s all you love, I think you should wear them every day. But it is insane that I can find like ten color options in straight sizes and then if I hop over to plus sizes, my options are black, leopard print, and some very large floral prints. It very much comes across as, “We need to distract from their bodies with these giant flowers!” when maybe I just want to wear a plain purple shirt occasionally. Or tiny floral print. Or checks. Or stripes. Or anything that doesn’t lean into some “big and brassy” stereotype.)

Anyway, I have a couple of stores where I can usually find some things, but flattering basics have been incredibly difficult. Like, it has already been hard given my past body image issues, past eating disorder, and just getting used to what my body currently feels like, but I’m then routinely presented with this issue of wanting to look and feel like I care about my clothing a little, but mainly having options that make me look entirely frumpy or so loud that I don’t feel like myself.

my dear polaris is the model for the example drawing. it will be a simple headshot with some minor rendering + the background being the pride flag of your choosing! if several flags apply to you, i can provide the same drawing with different backgrounds without extra cost.
