I’m beyond happy to be making this post !

It’s truly an honor to see Sleeping Under Spells reach the incredible milestone of 1,000 downloads. When I first made this game, I had no grand expectations. I simply wanted to tell a small fantasy romance story. I never imagining it would resonate with so many people, yet here we are.

A special thank you to everyone who played, enjoyed, and supported the game and to those who have shown so much love for Alioth. Your enthusiasm, kind words, and encouragement mean the world to me.

While I don’t currently have plans for a new game featuring Alioth, I’m always happy to create small fan-requested content, whether it’s drawings or scenario ideas. But today, to celebrate this milestone, I have a little gift for you all— a special voice note from as a token of my gratitude ! (And of course, let’s take a moment to appreciate the amazing Harold Ingram for bringing our favorite grumpy mage to life with such a fantastic performance.)

I MADE FANART!!! This is Matvey who belongs to the oh so lovely @dreamtydraw!! This man haunts my thoughts..... I hope I did him justice!!

I also have another thing to say, but it doesn't really have that much to do with the fanart, and it's kind of sappy, so I'm putting it utc. Feel free to ignore it as it's mostly just me rambling and reflecting

So, funny story. This is basically the first time I've seriously drawn something in.. what 2 years?? To make a very long story short, a lot of shit happened to me mentally due to a couple things and it ended up making me so demotivated to draw that I just sort of stopped and never went back.. But recently I suddenly got this fire lit inside me that made me wanna draw so I got up, buckled down, and.. well, drew something! Because of how long I went without drawing anything I was so incredibly scared to actually do it cause I was scared my art would've horrifically regressed, so I'm very pleasently surprised to see that it somehow didn't?? In fact I think it kind of progressed??? Not a ton of visual progress of course, but drawing didn't feel draining at all, not once did I think "Man this shit sucks I don't want to do this anymore", so that's something! For the first time in so long I'm actually proud of something I drew, it's kind of mind boggling

Anyways, that's all I wanted to share. I hope I can keep drawing like this and progressing my art skills, especially now that I'm in a better mindspace to do so. To new artistic beginnings!

OHOHOHO LET ME TELL YOU-

You see this gal ? Cute uh ?

If she start to have interest in you you are doomed. The route will start calmly, simple objective : i need help with my curse and so do you, let's help each other. Maybe you met in a bar where some creeps was harassing her, maybe you ran into each other at the market… and there you are, befriending each other. You try some ideas there and there, you talk about each other lifes and you find a glimps of it....

Behind all of her strange demanor, her affectionate nature, you catch it. She never made friend before, she don't understand when her comments are unwelcolmed, she’s constantly scared and she slowly clinge more and more onto you as you grow closer. Doing anything without hear near is almost impossible now and if the rose tainted glass of your crush broke, you'll realize how much she's draining your energy.

Maybe you meet someone new, maybe you grow distant because they can help you whe she can't and- As she always been this cold ? No not with you never. It’s as if she was an entierly different person depending on the affection you reciprocated.

This is the part of the game where you can die. She’s scaring you and you try to run away ? Too bad she’ll find you. You betrayed her and she’s heartbroken, she’s heartbroken and angry and your words are the only weapon you’ll have to keep you alive. Lie to her, feed her désillusion, make sure to be as close to her as you can so her surgical knife never meet your skin.

The two bad endings would be to either break her heart and making her hate you to the point her only goal is to make you suffer as much as you made HER suffer. / You are as delusional as her, you feed her flaws and insecurity, you make her worse and in the end you’ll both be so creepy that it will be a must to separate you for other people’s worry and safety.

The good ending would be to find a perfect balance. Never gives her what she wants but don’t abandon her. She needs help, she desperately does. She’s a beaten wet dog, a butterfly who is stuck to the ground because her wings got ripped off for being too pretty. Help her like she deserves to and her affection will balance.

Eleanore needs help but if you give her something that will aggravate her désillusion about affection and human nature, you are digging yourself a grave.

She suffer from her codependency, she makes people suffer because that the only feeling she can assimilate to liking someone. She’s monstrous because her nature is to love but she loves wrong. She’s a parasite who’ll cry over the corpse she just drank from and can’t comprehend how it is her fault.

Question for anyone who has a Touchstarved MC (or already has an LI OC)! What would they be like as a love interest? What would their route be like (slow burn, whirlwind, enemies to lovers, friends with benefits, etc)? What kind of people are they usually attracted to? What would lead to their good end? What would lead to their bad end?

okay,,, i know i've mentioned this a few times in some of my Amanda writings- but using art as a form of therapy. like....I don't know, as someone that is interested in possibly becoming an art therapist...I think it's really fun to explore that in writing sometimes !!

a lot of the slashers have had like,, rough childhoods, dealing with major trauma, are probably mentally ill or just like generally fucked up and like,, i like imagining them working on their issues to like,, feel better and be better (but like uu know they're still gonna kill people,,).

and being able to help through a way that I feel like i actually can !! cause words can be tough sometimes, but smashing paint on a canvas, or scribbling in my notes can be...helpful. (a lot of my abstract pieces are just,, ways to get out certain feelings. like i have this dark hole piece from when i was feeling super empty...but there's color on it too, to express some semblance of hope).

I’m thrilled to announce that 21 Questions has reached the incredible milestone of 1,000 downloads !  

This is a huge achievement for me, especially since it’s my first game project to hit such a number. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who has played and enjoyed the story, and for all the kind support you’ve shown. 

When I first started making games, even 100 downloads felt like a dream, so hitting 1,000 is beyond anything I could have imagined. Thank you all so much , I’m incredibly proud of this accomplishment.  

Now, what does this mean for the game ? 

I’ve been holding off on editing 21q  since I typically don’t like to go back to projects after they’re published. However, I’ll be rolling out an update to fix any remaining bugs and typos that I hadn’t addressed before.

While I don’t plan to add new content to the game itself (aside from potentially updating the illustrations at some point), I’m happy with how the story stands as it is. That said, this doesn’t mean it’s the end for Clem or Aurore as characters !  

If you’ve been snooping in my Tumblr or Instagram, you might have already seen the news: Clem will be making a return in Apple Bag and could appear in other future projects as well.  

As a small thank-you for your support, I’m sharing a sneak peek of the new sprite for 21-year-old Clem under the cut.

Well i promised last round that if valentin was qualified in final i would draw her a colored illustration and i am true to my words !

In term of arguments well i would be really happy if Valentin won, that a valid reason to ask 😔✨ I am amazed she arrived here in the first place, thanks you all for loving them, she’s my precious baby ! I am also very happy to have learn that some people related to her identity journey and felt seen GOOD FOR ALL OF YOU BABES !
