Favorite VC Book:

Interview with the Vampire again lmao. It's my beloved. I love the themes of guilt and grief it explores. It's a very personal story to Anne, and it shows. I mean, I could go on and on and on all day about why I love IWTV but I don't want to waffle on lmao.

VC Book You've Read Least (Or Not At All):

Probably Memnoch the Devil. I have read it but I can only go through that so many times lmfao. I find it really dense and it took me ages to get through even though it's not that long.

That said though, I do love the Lesmand content and the ending, it's just the rest of it I can't deal with.

VC Book You Would Yeet From the Series If You Could (If Any):

I think all the books have their merits and their place in the series. There are some that I love more than others of course, but I don't entirely hate any of them if I'm honest. Even ones like Memnoch, and Merrick for example, where I'm not a fan of them overall, there are still elements of those books that I do like. They all have their part to play, I think.

I currently have two copies of Interview with the Vampire but there are a couple more that I'm planning on getting soon, so that will bring me up to four. 11. if you’re a writer or artist, what fic or piece of art are you proud of making? most of them! like the really old shit up until around 2005 can get yeeted into the sun and there's a few newer pieces in the ffxv stuff that I think about orphaning every day, but most of them I love, for differing reasons. if I had to pick… hhh. that's so hard. monsters, maybe, for being my longest completed and posted fic, and because it was just supposed to be a short suicidal noct vent before it turned into this… this mess of friendship and feelings that somehow works out in the end.

actually I'm also really proud of a digimon fic of mine called silence, one because I started it in 2007 and only wrote a couple pages and then came back in 2016 and somehow finished it haha, and two because I made the writing style match the main idea of the fic, where yamato doesn't talk much after experiencing a trauma, and the narrative itself starts out a lot more minimal to mimic that, and gradually grows more wordy as he himself begins opening up about what happened. I wasn't sure how well it would work but I love how it came out in the end.

16. a tiny detail in canon that you want more people to appreciate I let my other answer be so long because I'm struggling to think of anything for this one xD you'd think as much as I obsess over getting all the details of canon right for fic, I'd be able to immediately rattle off an answer, but no. I don't think I've touched the game since 2019, or maybe early 2020. I don't remember a lot of the tiny details now lol. fake fan /s because my only other answer is that I want people to appreciate prompto's full name more cough cough

I have a completely normal amount of feelings about how, while the last Michinaga had seen Keiwa, he wasn't a contestant, he falls easily into the old-new set of things. How him, the most untrusting bitch ever turns his back to Keiwa and Neon. He glances back, but as soon as he sees their backs also turned to him (the angriest bitchiest player ever), it's all focus up front. Immediately circling around the civilians, trusting the others to have their backs. Meanwhile Ace is giving his big speech about how they are here from their free will. Yes, I know this is their mission now, and if nothing else, they can trust each other to carry out the mission, but this is my post and I can read into things as much as I want. I told y'all I'm eating ot4 crumbs from the fucking floor.

Also I could screencap the entire fight afterwards where these three are concerned because I Am Very Hinged about how well they worked together. I mean - Keiwa blocking a Jyamato, Neon yeeting it up in the air from behind, Keiwa's shurikens hitting it in the air to slam it down, only for Michinaga to beat the shit out of it with TWO chainsaws? Fucking ICONIC. This coupled with the way Ace and Keiwa fought together in this episode as well could tell you everything about why am I so fucking Hinged about this episode.

I just LOVE the two newbies protecting the two veterans. I love how bitchy Michinaga is about it. I love how these four are having their Moment(tm) while Win is fighting for his life. I love everything about them.

I will absolutely post about my d&d kids at some point at more length but this is my crotchety halfling life cleric Mairen, who ran away from the responsibility to help heal people only to have a god yeet that responsibility directly back at her (magic edition). The other two party members are her best friends and also drive her insane because they do not take their own mortality seriously enough, which means it's her job to worry about it for them. She's got expertise in perception and the rest of her stats are godawful even at level 13. Her proficiencies are in animal handling, medicine, survival, and persuasion. That last one helps balance out her CHA of 9. <3 She relies too heavily on divination spells to try to figure out what her god wants her to be doing, resents the fuck out of things, and has a lot of stale bread in her bag.

This is my half-elf sun soul monk Eos! They have never met a consequence once ever in their entire life. They assume everything is going to go great and that life will be one big adventure and so far they have yet to be proven wrong (this is 80% because the universe loves them and 20% because they simply refuse to acknowledge negative emotions). They're out on a coming-of-age adventure to see the world before they go back to their monk island and they're using their mom's old maps and notes because their mom is the coolest person alive and they want to be just like her. They are very impulsive and absolute sunshine. They really want to make sure that our cleric is watching whenever they do something that looks cool. They really want to do something that looks cool at all times. They keep spending their money on pretty hats.

He is… very confused at first. Diluc sees you as someone very strong, seeing you being scared of almost anything is so incredibly surprising to him. Not that it’s bad or anything, it's just the last thing he expected

The first time it happened that you started screaming into another room in the house he ran as fast as he could, his heart beating like crazy and his mind full of the worst situation possible, only to find out it was a simple bug.

“Sweetie I think-” “BUT IT CAN FLY DILUC YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND” Diluc sighs as he gently throws the bug away, looking at you not exactly knowing how to react but with a little smirk appearing on his face

He would assure you that the bug is long gone and you can relax now, although you can sense that hes trying to suppress his laugh, and you aren’t sure if you should feel offended or be happy because Diluc laughing is the most beautiful thing you ever saw in your life

Diluc teasing you isn’t as bad as Kaeya’s for example, and it won’t last that long anyway- he would tease you once, chuckling slightly at your reaction, and then go on with the day. And unlike others won’t prank you at all.

Sometimes you can defiantly catch Diluc trying his best not to laugh at you for being easily scared, especially if it’s a not so little bug making you so terrified. Just cry a little bit harder and he is going to help you let the man laugh a bit, please

And he will cuddle you at least for a little bit, even if it does sliiiightly tease you. He will apologize by giving you a soft kiss on your check or lips, gently caressing your back while he smiles on you, saying how pretty you are

You are scared of some monsters? What monsters, all I can see is fire everywhere, no monsters around. Nothing to worry about, everything is fine and you don’t need to worry about anything!

Diluc knows very well that you can take care of yourselves, but somehow he feels much more secure knowing that you need him and you feel safer when he is around, it helps a lot with his paranoia and fears

He just can’t help himself from being overly worried about you, so please try your hardest to not scream like you are being killed or otherwise the poor Diluc is gonna have a heart attack, he constantly worries about you so much

Also, I bet he would make sure his house is 100% sure for you, and all the servants are asked to be certain nothing gets inside of the house and be sure to take out any type of bugs that might scare you

Luci’s just trying to get through the day when he hears that nonsense. He slides over to MC as Solomon looks out the window and purrs into their ear “MC, it’s not worth it, he’s immortal, all you’ll get is extra whining from him.”

MC huffs and crosses their arms and explains that Solomon gave them a potion that made them hiccup bubbles for a few hours as a practical joke.

“Oh, well then, MC, throw him.” “Oh Lucifer, you wound me deeply.” “I won’t do anything that’s worse than the fall you’re about to take.” “Wait-“

Mammon

Mammon’s just eating chips in the hallway (against the house rules by the way. Lucifer loathes to vacuum the damn carpets because of his brothers’ eating habits.) when he overhears that little exchange. Before anyone can react, Mammon is already scrambling to find out what the hell is going on.

“OI! What the hell did ya do to upset my human, Solomon?!” “Now Mammon, why on earth would you assume I would want to upset our beloved MC?” “The man’s a menace to society, don’t trust him.”

It quickly devolves into a cat fight between Solomon and Mammon, which MC made their escape from when they saw Lucifer rounding the corner.

Leviathan

Levi was playing Pokémon Go when all he heard was “Checking to see how far the drop is, see if it’s worth it.” after hearing that, Levi got distracted and tried to turn back, and ended up faceplanting on the carpet. Ouch!

MC rushes over to help him up, all the while yelling profanities at Solomon, who’s snickering by the window.

After quickly explaining the situation, Levi proclaims that the fall damage would at least break Solomon’s legs, Solomon laughs and spreads his arms.

“That’s a risk I’m willing to take! Push me if you’d like, MC.” “Oh look a charmander.”

Satan

He overhears shouting from his room, and sneaks over to see what’s going on. When he sees the human threaten to throw Solomon out the window, and Solomon actually checking the drop, Satan almost laughs.

Psh, it’s simple math. Just multiply the acceleration of gravity by the amount of time since Solomon dropped from the window. So you get: velocity = -9.81 m/s^2 * time, or V = gt.

Hm, yeah that’d seriously injure Solomon. Heh, bye bye Shifty bastard, no one will suffer from your cooking again- DID HE JUST FUCKING JUMP-

Asmodeus

Hm? What’s this? What’s happening? Asmo skips over to the sound of his two favourite humans’ voices and asks what the matter is.

Oh they’re fighting? Oh if they’re going to fight it should at least be over him. And even then! They wouldn’t need to fight! Asmo has two hands!

Asmo completely ignores the “I’m gonna jump out the window” thing and drags Solomon and MC off to the spa. “Come on now you two~ any grievances can’t survive a day of pampering with moi.” “I really thing the window would be preferable.” “Shut up, Solomon.”

Beelzebub

Beel was wandering around the house after a workout ready for a nice ice bath when he hears “Do that again and I’ll throw you out of the window.” he doubles back and checks to make sure MC is okay. After the situation is explained, Beel shrugs and says:

“I could throw him out of the window for you, MC. I’m sure I could pick up Solomon.”

Having literally ZERO interest in being yeeted into the horizon (again), Solomon laughs and quickly makes his exit.

Belphegor

Belphie was napping in the middle of the hall like a speed bump and he wakes up to MC’s threats to Solomon’s life. Belph props his head up on his hand and just watches what’s about to go down.

MC continues to try and shove Solomon out the window, the wizard just laughs and holds onto the windowsill… until Belphie pipes up and says “Push harder MC, I’m trying to nap here.”

Solomon loses his grip and topples backwards-

Also, The Maverick and Sunny have done duets of both Two Player Game from Be More Chill (New headcanon of mine says Mikhael is a theater kid) and Snow Halation (also in fluent Japanese)

Once he finds out you’re into nature, Rime takes you on walks through the forest a lot. He notices that you seem to light up whenever you’re out there in the fresh air, y’know? The first couple of times you’re bright and chatty and gushing about the scenery and the animals and how healthy everything looks. But then,, you’re quiet. Gradually you become more and more thoughtful. Rime doesn’t mind. He’s not much one for self-reflection but if you want to go for it, by all means he doesn’t really mind. He likes getting to spend some quiet time with you anyhow. 

But then one day you turn to him, eyes blazing with determination, and say you need his help. Of course he’s willing to do just about whatever you want (even if he won’t verbalize that, he acts like he’s all annoyed with you all the time but he’s just trying to look cool). And then you whirl around and take his hands in yours and say You Need To Learn Nature Magic! ! ! ! 

Rime is intrigued. Every single one. I don't get a Ton of comments so it's pretty easy for me to do and I talk non-stop so.... it's a natural instinct. I love to see what people have to say abut my work, and I love to let them know I appreciate their commentary

what’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Angstiest ending is hands down "Where the Spirit Meets the Bones" because it ends with Maedhros yeeting himself toward his doom... In general a very angsty fic because it's all about failed obligations, self hatred, and being a flawed person.

do you write crossovers? if so what is the craziest one you’ve written?

I've never written a crossover, I haven't really found universes that I desperately wanted to smash together. The closest I'll ever get is AU works.

have you ever received hate on a fic?

Yes but not on anything posted on my AO3. The commenter left me something mildly obnoxious, but when I checked out their profile they were a huge bigot. Bidoof's law for general assholery.

do you write smut? if so what kind?

Yes. More often than not. Excuse #1: the pandemic is keeping me from being my slutty self and I am projecting. Excuse #2: self-introspection. It's no coincidence that my smut fic is most often either something I find kinky, or an exploration of my identity or something I want to communicate in my life. "Halos Made of Summer, Ribbons Made of Spring" was me exploring my attraction to women (when I still thought I was a woman). A lot of my other stuff was me coming to terms with being transmasc (though I haven't included trans themes in my fics yet - that's gonna change tho).

have you ever had a fic stolen?

Nope! I don't think my stuff gets enough traction for that (rare-pair hell, my beloved). I also don't think I'd notice if themes were lifted from my work. I treat fandom like a soup pot. It would be rude to take the stock wholesale and say it was your own. That said, it's likely that at some point two or more of us are going to come up with similar flavor pairings. If you're inspired by my work, it's good grace to say so. But swapping ideas is pretty par for the course.

have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope! But you guys are always welcome to do so! I've been meaning to translate my stuff into Spanish, it's good practice for me and I know that fandom can be pretty English heavy.

have you ever co-written a fic before?

Nope! I would like to at some point, I think the closest I've gotten is like, trsb exchanges.

what’s your all time favorite ship?

Probably Fingon/Maedhros because of my penchant for self-flagellation and bad decision making. It's an old standby pairing for me, and I like its Romance, in the classical sense. Celebrimbor/Sauron is a close second because I like working through how I feel about deception and betrayal and really unhealthy love.

what’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

Um... I don't want to say the WIP that's currently languishing in my drafts. I have Got to finish it because I went out of my way to get people's opinions on it. Um, probably this thing I started for Gimli/Legolas, I don't think it was imaginative enough, I have a hard time being imaginative and it feels derivative. I need to significantly re-tool it.

what are your writing strengths?

Setting up a central theme, and characterization. I like implicit meanings.

what are your writing weaknesses?

Dialogue is hard, pacing is hard (it's really hard for me to read, so I always want to pare my stuff down when I should expand on it). Executive function is non-existent so the writing process itself is just. odious (/humorous).

what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Ah, like adverbs and epithets, it serves a purpose (to indicate something specific). I think about a) can readers understand this b) is this respectful and does it fit the situation or characterization c) does it add something special d) do I have a good enough grasp of this language. For MCU fic I won't be linking I taught myself some very basic russian to include some russian dialogue because I wanted english readers to be temporarily out of the loop like one of the characters (like, in dramatic irony the readers know something the characters don't - I wanted a situation where the readers didn't know either). Don't go looking for that fic, my russian is embarrassing to me and others.

1) @ the popular ships: Hi yes, just because something is widely popular and accepted throughout a community. It doesn’t mean that everyone is into it, also for the love of God, stop losing your shit when somebody happens to be enjoying some lesser known/popular ship. Get off your stupid high horse, and stop seeing shipping as some form of competition. “EVERYONE AGREES THAT X SHIP IS CANON UWU” No we don’t, shut the fuck uP.

2) I never understood the whole concept of self shipping with a fictional character. And as you can imagine, I’m also not really a fan of OC/canon content (Roleplay is like maybe the only exception, where I don’t mind). It’s harmless fun in the end of the day, but even back when I was a kid... I NEVER got fully into the whole thing. And trust me, I tried it. And my God, I’m not proud of it. To sum it up: This makes me HELLA uncomfortable.

3) Here is a concept that I feel like most main fandoms have forgotten about. Enjoying something in fiction doesn’t mean you condone or support it IRL. I reblogged a pretty neat post about this, that I feel like a lot of people could use.

4) I feel like pro-shippers are just as bad as antis, both extremes are equally awful. Both have stances/takes, I’m strongly against. I like to think I stand on a middle ground, about this whole discussion.

5) Rare shipping hell is actually fun, sure it’s basically a single player’s game. But let me tell you... There’s nothing more rewarding than not having to deal with God awful takes, of your beloved characters and you’re doing what makes you happy!! You’re the one in control here, until somebody else shows up and you can exchange ideas with!!

6) RESPECT A CONTENT CREATOR’S TAKE ON A SHIP. DON’T FORCE UR SHIT ONTO THEM, IT’S HELLA RUDE. UNLESS THE PERSON ASKED FOR IT, DONT JUST YEET IT @ THEM.

I played Chou no Doku (so you don’t have to) - Mizuhito’s Route Part 4

The Finale. Let’s finally get this over with. Here’s the link to the [last part].

Yuriko made her way to Majima’s quarters in order to ask him about going to the Brothel in Mizuhito’s stead. Majima remarks that it would be better to just let her Brother know about what’s going on, but Yuriko starts freaking out and acting like a jealous child again. She sure got a lot of trust for her beloved Brother. Ultimately Majima agrees to go and Yuriko ends up reminiscing about the feelings she used to harbor towards him

On the next day Kyoko decides to pay the siblings a visit, however, she requests to only speak with Yuriko. With just the two of them she reveals that Kyoko’s well aware of the things that are going on between our Brother and Sister.

Her “romance senses” were tingling apparently. Though to be honest considering how the two of them are acting you don’t need to be a genius to figure out what’s going on. Kyoko also reveals that she a... relationship dealer? Basically she arranges fake marriages that allow cover ups for illict relationships of whatever sort. Mizuhito eventually shows up and pretty much kicks Kyoko out. Which has Yuriko frantically going after her, since she does consider her offer. Outside she meets Majima who’s back from his “errand”, stating that the Geisha did in fact not have one of Mizuhito’s belongings but simply wanted to get him to visit. She gave Majima a comb that he’s supposed to pass on to Mizuhito. Yuriko goes inside to hide the comb but meets Mizuhito on the way

She slips it into her... Ouch. That’s dedication.

They have another painting session, but Mizuhito soon starts asking questions about their current situation.

Me avoiding my responsibilities. She literally dodged his question because she knows she wouldn’t have. While trying to get up Yuriko ends up dropping the comb and Mizuhito immediately recognizes it. Though not mad he does confront her and Yuriko laments that she was scared of losing him forever.

No, he doesn’t talk about eloping Yuriko. It’s coming guys: close your eyes, hide your children. The moment this game has been building up for has come: The smex. And while we don’t get the full smex we do get enough to count our lucky stars that we don’t have to sit through the entirety of the “act”.

The following day Mizuhito holes himself up in his room to finish the painting. When Yuriko calls him for dinner he suggests they go out to eat something. On their way they run into the Proprietress of the Brothel he used to frequent. She remarks that she noticed something odd about Majima when she saw him a few days ago and that he may be involved in dangerous affairs, such as dealing with Opium. After the Proprietress excused herself Yuriko noticed that Mizuhito did not introduce her as his sister.

Because these two go so well together.

They conclude that confronting Majima head on is a bad idea. Mizuhito eventually tells Yuriko to head back without him first. She decides that this is the time to play Detective and find out more about Majima. Fujita says that he actually doesn’t know much about Majima either. Apparently he does fequently take time off however, so Fujita says it’s not impossible he’s doing something on the side. 

Yeah mess with the potentially dangerous guys room. Great idea. So Yuriko starts sniffing around (quite literally) .

So apparently Yuriko goes around sniffing men’s rooms in her pastime if she’s got that much ground for comparison. But moving on, obviously she doesn’t find anything just lying around. What a shocker. Her “I’m the Heroine of this story” genes kick in however, so as she knocks one of his Kimonos to the ground something falls out of it. Mind you, that is a pretty dumb hiding spot so I guess she wasn’t that far off after all. We don’t get to find out what she found yet though, because she’s interrupted by a loud noise.

Once outside Yuriko finds that the entire Manor is on fire. Majima magically appears and seems rather calm as Yuriko freaks out. He steadies her but is quickly interrupted by Mizuhito who screams at him to let her go. Majima taunts him by saying that he didn’t even think it possible that Mizuhito can run.

Hello 911. There’s a fire and a murder.

Mizuhito reveals that all of the things the Proprietress said are true. In fact he’s not just any Opium dealer, Majima is referred to as the “King” (agshskdl sorry I had to laugh). He got the information from one of his previous clients, revealing that Mizuhito would sell his body a times in order to protect his sister and help with the debt. Majima comments on the relationship between the two “siblings” and becomes super mad about it.

Tbh when I read this for the first time I had to read it twice to check if it’s really Majima speaking. His reaction makes more sense if you know the grand scheme of the game (I’ll add a link with my verdict later). But yeah moving on Mizuhito exclaims that the only filthy one is him and that Yuriko is a pure Maiden (are you sure about that.png). She concludes by telling Majima that they’re not biological siblings (why didn’t you just say that from the start lol) which seems to soothe Majima. He exclaims that “the curse never touched” her and yeets himself into the fire with these words. 

And dead. But that’s beside the point apparently.

Some time later we see Yuriko who’s currently in Paris (paint me like one of your french girls coming full circle). She’s looking out on a balcony while thinking about the past. After the fire some random “stranger” got rid of their debt, which gave Mizuhito the opportunity to study art. His creations were not well received in Japan however (you mean people DIDN’T like him painting pictures of his Sister 24/7) so he went to France. For some magical reasons his art became a big hit over there and now they’re living a luxurious life.

Also the thing she found in Majima’s Kimono was a Chinese Bellflower. Yuriko still wasn’t sure if Majima killed her parents or not despite stating herself that these don’t grow where they live (girl wut).

What’s with that random paranthesis. Mizuhito says that there are always a lot of people looking at Yuriko during the parties, and that they want to “own” her by buying his paintings (which is not weird at all).

You’d think that they would see this as a chance to get out of this “sibling” relationship but apparently not. Also HER HAIR IS NOT BLACK FOR FU-...

Anyways. Yuriko says that she ran into Shiba which makes Mizuhito grrr horny so he throws her onto the bed.

Is it cringe? Yes. Is it an upgrade to “my little sister”?... Maybe. I’ll take it I guess.

Bruh. But Mizuhito wouldn’t be Mizuhito if he didn’t have an excellent plan, he even has two: either pretend you adopted the child from an Orphanage OR from distant relatives. Whta a grand idea that child will be so happy being lied to in order to hide their parents relationship.
