My style has developed a bit since I made this, but the same rules still apply to how I draw them! (Sorry this tutorial is rather sloppy tho and sorry my handwriting is bad, you’d think as an artist it would be better but you’d be wrong lol)

Modern AU Clegan established relationship headcanons:

John talks about Gale to all his colleagues, Gale doesn’t talk about his private life at all. Everyone is shocked when he brings John to one of the company events. That’s not the kind of person they imagined as Gale’s partner...

Their PDA is very sweet and casual (handholding, hugs from behind etc.) because Gale doesn’t like being sexual in front of others. When they started dating, he had to push John's hands away from his ass several times before John caught on.

John has a slightly higher sex drive than Gale in general, but there was a period after they first said 'I love you' when Gale's was even higher than his. Normally, they have sex about three times a week.

John is the one who makes their place a home. With his clutter and trinkets and the gifts he brings Gale like a magpie. He connects to objects emotionally so it's more important to him to make his surroundings his own. Gale isn’t used to stability at home, so he doesn’t get into this that easily, but eventually, he’ll add his own touch to the decor too.

They always spend Christmas Eve just the two of them, listening to Christmas music and watching a comfort movie. Christmas Day is with John's family. Gale's birthday is with Gale’s family, but it always sucks for one reason or another, so after a while, John plans them little getaway trips that coincidentally fall on that day.

Bailey’s dynamic with the puppets is strange - he is their creator first, their friend, and technically 'family' in a loose sort of way where they only share a last name. The difference between puppets and persons is a wide gap and misunderstandings are abundant.

I’m sure they would like birds - Lulu especially - she’s the pet person.

Oh this is such a good question!

While I do have aspects that I love about both portrayals my overall favourite is undoubtedly Jeff’s.

In Time Bastard we get to see Tinky be absolutely deranged when it comes to fucking around with Ted, and Jeff manages to protrude that sadistic energy entirely. The laugh alone solidifies that for me. Jeff has such a way with playing unhinged characters (Hidgens in Workin’ boys, Aladdin in Twisted, The father in Trail to Oregon, etc) that I don’t think there is a better Starkid actor to play Tinky.

While Grace, Steph and Pete are acted as being scared in The Summoning honestly wasn’t that scary? For me at least? Idk it was more silly (don’t get me wrong I love The Summoning scene it just didn’t have that scare factor- I mean Curts dancing around in neon yellow). And while I do like Tinky having a more silly goofy side to him I prefer the portrayal of that having a more sadistic streak, as seen in Time Bastard.

I know that in The Summoning the LIBs “hold court in your own tongue and form”, (aka appear as teenagers) makes sense story wise and for a on stage preformance. But I’m a big fan of horror, so even the description Tinky being a:

“A solidarity figure. It wears a baggy, furry body- suit. It’s yellow and matted. Dirty. Stinking. Worst of all is its head. A motionless, demented goat mask. It has glassy, evil eyes, a slack jaw with big crooked teeth, a flopping wet tongue”.

Fuck so hard to me. That shit slaps ok. Tinky being refered to a “The thing”, “This creature”, “The nightmare goat”, in the Time Bastard script? Give me more of that please.

(I know that this isn’t particularly pertaining to Jeff’s portrayal, more of the script writing, but they go hand in hand. The script is only as good as the actors can make it. And Jeff does that description of Tinky so much justice).

All that being said- when it comes to drawing Tinky I prefer to draw him as Curt (plus a few extra things added to put my own spin on the design) due to that being his first human form portrayal. Also because I can’t draw goats.

Despite all this, I need it to be known that “oh boy! A spankoffski! I’m going to have the whole set in my toy box!” has and will continue to rot in my brain for many more months to come.

żmija! I’ve noticed you talking about performing bloody rituals here, so i’d like to know your perspective on using menstrual blood. have you ever used it yourself in your practice? if yes, what kind of rituals was it used in?

I have - at the early stages of my path - and the reason why I no longer do is threefold. none of them are particularly deep or controversial, really, but they are quite reflective of my overall practice.

one, I'm no longer interested in exploring ideas of fertility or my body's capacity to bear children - which includes any spiritual, let's say, interests connected to the womb and such - and I've found much more interesting ways to connect with my corporeality. there are different ties through which I'm interested to explore my ties to womanhood, and different ties to explore my ties to the mammality of it all. the main power and appeal of using menstrual blood, for me, lied in the taboo of it - since then, I've found more interesting taboos to explore which, in turn, let me involve different aspects of myself than the one I have an utter zero of will to ever actually engage.

two, a lot of my path revolves around the duality of choice vs chance - that is, things that you very consciously choose to do yourself, with full agency and will, and then the things that the fates seem to throw at you for no discernible reason that you might delight in accepting, challenging, or squashing. the fact that I get my period monthly simply due to the biological set up of my body is neither of those, and thus feels rather weak and irrelevant.

and the third reason, more quantitative than qualitative like the previous ones, is very simple: the menstrual discharge does not actually contain that much blood. it might look like it but it actually doesn't, and thus is not as useful to me.

Honestly, if I did end up giving Leo a boyfriend, if WOULD be Usagi. Especially since getting the questions about him made me really think about the ship and I’m liking it more and more, they’re cute! In the au, I wholeheartedly believe that Leo would fall first, but Usagi would fall harder.

It would start with Leo having a crush and Usagi being absolutely oblivious, which would be a big blow to Leo’s pride because how come his charm isn’t working, hello?! Then Usagi’s friends would be like WHAT DO YOU MEAN: YOU DON’T THINK HE’S INTO YOU, ARE U STUPID? i love this question!! an alternate direction the fic could’ve gone is probably an all-out romantic comedy where they’re both deadly serious about not liking or committing to each other, but people around them gradually are like. “guys we know you are a thing”. and oscar + carlos are like: “no???”

so for example the opening scene at the club could be written as carlos emerging into the warm singapore evening only to trip on a step and spill his entire drink on oscar. tape scratch moment. they still go to carlos’s hotel room to get oscar cleaned up, but they bicker the whole time. the smut becomes a kiss etc etc

there's a musical montage involving the both of them racing each other on rented city bikes in montreal

the sunglasses definitely stay in there and become a recurring motif cus everyone else figures out who they belong to straightaway

the breakfast order detail is in there but it’s a running gag as they dare each other to try more and more elaborate and wild combinations, and nobody dares lose, even if the resulting food is disgusting.

kim gets sick of oscar flip flopping about the entire thing and says "you had better tell him how you feel because this is getting really repetitive and we can't keep going in circles about this cus it's literally forming a mental block for your racing, yeah".

carlos gives oscar a wardrobe makeover for plot reasons. it doesn't stick but oscar does keep one or two of the fashion items including the sunglasses, a smart pair of cucinelli slacks, and a nice vintage denim jacket that carlos picked out with him

obviously there's some crisis of minor misunderstanding because neither of them wants to confess how they actually feel until the last minute when carlos is about to step out into a paparazzi-filled event with a woman and oscar clenches his fist and hates it sooo much until he realises... oh right, that's his sister.

the grand gesture involves oscar piloting a boat somehow to chase carlos

and lando is some sort of professionally competent but hapless friend who keeps running into his own dating problems. lando sighs and puts his chin on his hand and wistfully goes “i wish i had what you and carlos had”. and oscar is like: “what, frenemies?” and lando goes “no, stupid! love!”

Saw this online and thought of fof AU post TBT. Branch went from herding one brother to 5-3 depending whether Bruce is there/at least one brother is being mature.

This is just straight up Keith and Clay's relationship. Branch can't take them anywhere. There's always a debate, and either him or JD (usually him, since JD's kind of in and out) need to watch incase either one of them gets too passionate. Whether or not Keith is using these senecios to bond with Clay or get some semblance of revenge on Branch's behalf is still unknown.

Yes, actually! But perhaps not in the way you'd expect. He never steps out of line, creates messes or talks back. He’s always conscious of the fact that he’s not actually a relative, no matter how they try to make him more comfortable. He can’t wait to leave for college and be independent, because then he won't have to think about that anymore.

But this doesn’t mean that he never has any conflicts with Georgia. I think there's one thing that leads to arguments between them: Gale disappearing for hours at a time, sometimes very late in the evening, without telling anyone about it.

The issue comes from the fact that he's not used to anyone at home caring about where he goes and what he does after school. Of course, he spends a lot of time with Bucky and also with swimming. But before he moved in, he used to have some time during the week when no one paid attention to him. Since he didn’t like staying home that much, he often went out and spent time in random parks, public libraries etc. or simply stayed at the swimming pool, sitting on the bleachers and being soothed by the sounds of other people training. Then he went home late.

It has become a comfort.

So, he continues this habit even after he moves in. And you can imagine how well that goes. Gale, who almost jumped off a bridge a few weeks before and had to be moved out of his parents' house, doesn’t come home when everyone else expects him to.

They try to call him, text him, but for some reason (doesn’t hear it / phone dead), he doesn’t pick up. Everyone is worried sick but doesn’t dare say what they're thinking. Georgia calls Chick, who starts checking the bridges. Then, as if nothing was amiss, Gale comes home. He’s taken aback by how worried they all are and gets defensive. Chick gets there too and instinctively, as the worry rushes out of him, he starts scolding Gale. This, like you said, scares Gale, but his alarm reaction is fighting back. So he starts throwing in things he doesn’t mean, like "so what if I wanted to do that [SA]? What does it matter to you?"

Georgia asks Chick to leave the room because she realizes that it's not helping. Gale feels like he’s caged, but Georgia changes her tone to something gentler. Gale feels really bad and just wants to get out of the conversation. He’s also hyperaware of Bucky being very quiet. Georgia explains why they were worried and asks him to let them know where he is next time. He just nods, but fully intends to just run away next time.

Chick comes back and talks to him more gently, to which Gale reacts impassively. At this point, he nods to anything they say because he wants to get away. Once they let him leave the room, he goes upstairs and locks himself in his bedroom. He hears Bucky try the handle but then walk away when he can’t open the door. Gale is sad about that at first, but then, chat messages start popping up on his phone. From one bedroom away, Bucky starts texting him like he used to before Gale moved in.

In another post, I already mentioned that Gale finds it easier to talk about his feelings like that. It helps this time as well. Bucky comforts him, then Gale sends him a love letter-like affectionate text. Bucky tries to enter the room again, and Gale lets him in this time. They make out (and touch each other) in Gale's bed very quietly and sleep there together.

Everything goes back to the new normal the next day, but it takes a while before Gale tells them (without prompting) where he is when he disappears. The next few times, they still have to call or text him, and Georgia has to talk to him about it a few more times. But at least he picks up.

Long answer: Yvette's gender identity is both culturally specific and specific to him. It's also heavily based on my own gender identity. Genderqueer is the best word for it, he would also refer to himself as a transsexual. If you asked if he was a man or woman, he would say yes to both. He is typically he/him and also uses she/her, but only really with specific people, hence why I exclusively use he/him for narration and some characters use she/her in the game.
