Okay, okay, so FOF part one is only chapter away from completion, and that means its time to look towards the next project! Let's take a look at the competitors shall we!

As most of my regular viewers know, Burning Branches is my take on the Rock Troll Branch au, with the added twist of one my favor tropes, Amnesia!

FOF! Or Field of Forgetmenots, is my Branch Knight au. Basics of this au is that Branch adopted keith and after saving the village in costume is made the hero of Pop village...only problem no one knows that the new hero and the grey loner are in fact one in the same.

Petra held up her hands in surrender, "Fine, fine, your garden your rocks," she smirked, "but if you want them to learn? What's to say we teach them a lesson?"

Char raised a concern brow, "Petra..."

"Chill. I'm only suggesting we smoke with a song them on the test. Minimal effort on our part and you get you're rep back. Unless you want to deal with them for the rest of the year."

Char sighed, "Which song?"

Gristle was already dealing with the backlash of systematic genocide and the eating of sentient beings for what is omied to have gone on centuries by his people, as well as the well documented murder and cooking of several members of the Pop royal family. Now he learns his people didn't jsut eat pop royalty

Barb might just try to retroactively adopt Rosiepuff herself because with her being so hard-core and sacrificing herself to save Branch, she's think such a great troll deserves to be remembered and accepted as part of the family

She tries, but there isn't any sort of law or legal way to do that since Rosiepuff's dead. But Barb still refers to her as grandma.

I think for Pop Trolls, preparations for a funeral are one of the first things they learn. Things like writing their last will and testament, funeral preferences, etc. It makes sense considering their history that the moment someone becomes of age, they start doing that, and any minors will be handled by any remaining close friends or families. I was this up because it would be because she heard about this particular piece of pop culture from Branch that Barb would even HAVE a will and testament set up just in case. She would have been the type to jsut not care at all what happened to her affects after death but after learning about Trollstice from her cousin and how so many Trolls died young due to it, Barb would take the matter of succession and what to do with her stuff if she dies more seriously

While I don't think Pop trolls specifically would think about funerals this much since it's a sad topic, or at least it's a very taboo topic only to be discussed once. However, for a royal family people need to be on top of this depending on the tribe, since likely they live lives that need extra protection. Assassinations, dangerous situations, main character status etc. So, yeah Branch and barb would be talking about this kind of stuff.

what would be the reaction of your aus to finding JD and Delta in the tunnel the same way Challenge au did

Okay, so that post was a WHILE ago, so what i remember is that during the journey in trolls 1 they meet up, so if I got it wrong forgive me.

In FoF, Branch recognizes John, but he just prays his mask is doing its job. Then until the whole not singing thing he's just trying to process the idea that John actually managed to get married and just how nice Delta is. They both stand up for Branch when he refuses to sing, and Branch's rant makes John worry about if something that happened to his brothers. Then the whole knife incident happens and John is suddenly living his worse nightmare. Delta and Poppy take care of everything while Branch is in the hosptial, and Keith is once more mistaken for Branch's son.

They keep in touch from a distance while Branch builds up the guard and then meet up in TWT and TBT

BTTS and Hybrid would basically run the same as Challenge, with the exception that Creek is not a traitor and Floyd is still bedridden.

Bergen Branch...Everyone meets up in the walls of the castle not the tunnels, Delta and john do follow poppy from the tunnels however. Branch is not happy to see John Dory.

Burning Branches....hmmm

John and Delta only would meet Poppy in the tunnels and they would all be come friends, and this would start building and alliance between the country and pop tribes early. When the marriage proposal, happens, Poppy also has Delta to ask for advise, which is a good thing since the country actually have a good opinion of the rock tribe for their sacrifice during the split. She even offers to come visit during the weeks that Char will be visiting for added help. Something Poppy agrees too immediately.

Then she and john show up, and...why is her husband having a break down and clinging to the very confused rock prince?

so what is the plan to get Gristle back into the trone

In runaway bergen?

Well, first they have to get him out of his funk and panic over the chef taking over, but after seeing Bridget perfectly happy without eating any trolls, he knows she's enough proof to change everything, especially after he starts feeling happy with her around. Happiness isn't needed from trolls, it dethrones the chef's whole plan.

How much would Barb spoiled Keith and her niblings

Oh so much, she loves little kids and all of the youngsters in this family are hellions in the making.

Oh yeah, very few if any Rock Trolls would ever support any of Brozone being Barb's effective heir. Especially once word of exactly how and why they abandoned Branch comes out. Like, in the month between the Rockapocalypse and the Royal Wedding pretty much every Rock Troll has all but accepted that Branch is going to be Barb's heir apparent until such a time she married and has a child of her own. They accept that while he's a bit socially awkward, maybe a bit on the crazy side, and definitely disconnected from his Rock roots that he'd be the best possible bet for a potential heir, at least until soemone more suitable can be found because they all saw clear as day that he was not going to be leaving Poppy anytime soon. So for them to suddenly have another potential heir pop up, one that their Queen outright despises on the jump and who has already been confirmed to be flaky at best and liable to abandon his duty because he's done it once before by ABANDONING his brother as an infant... yeah if JD or any of the other brothers got the throne for even a temporary measure there'd be a full on riot

Some of them are a little skeptical, after all Pop isn't all that trusting, and Branch Sr. didn't have the best rep from his prince days. However, Branch does prove himself to his role and puts people at ease, even if the comfort they take is that on the very small chance that something would happen to their queen or her offspring, that the tribe wouldn't collapse on it self.

Branch, quite frankly, is not used to love without condition. Especially when it comes to familial love. Heck, if you really look at it, even the pure, honest love he and Poppy had was initially a transactional one, even though it has evolved well beyond what it originated as. It's why Poppy has to constantly remind Branch that she isn't going to up and leave him for anything. And here Barb is, someone who Branch could have sworn would only care for how useful he is because she introduced herself by KIDNAPPING him and threatening everyone he loves, is just... there. Offering care and support and love up with the only condition being that he learn more about his heritage, and even that is more of an excuse he soon finds out

Barb is just there. She just pops in makes sure he's doing okay, maybe helps him hunt predators down in the woods. These two given enough time, do get very close.

If something WERE to happen, not that anything would because Barb is badass, i think Barb would explicitly put into her will that unless she has a child of her own who is of age than by default the Crown/Regency would go to Branch until such a time that either her offsping comes to age or a more suitable heir is found. If that's the case, since Branch will inevitably become Poppy's husband, than either the Rock and Pop Troll tribes would merge or Poppy herself will abdicate her throne back to Viva and join Branch in the rock kingdom

That would really depend on the political field at the time of the incident, did Barb has kids, did Branch have kids? my broppy will canonically have three, so technically one of them could be trained to take over, but honestly likely, branch would rule, but it's only a temporary role as regent. So, he and poppy go long distance, unless the kids are very young and someone else is needed, likely one of the close family and friends of the rock family could take over temporally until one of the children is ready.

Barb would also demand Branch going through royal training because it also gives her the perfect excuse for forced family bonding time. While Rock Trolls may not force family bonding, considering everything Branch has been through and hia general attitude towards strangers, Barb might be willing to force it. Especially since the more she gets to know him, the more she appreciates and even comes to love her long-lost cousin. Like, she loved him at first sight simply because he's FAMILY, and for Rock Trolls, FAMILY is important, but she appreciates him for just being him too

Branch is honestly confused by it. Like i don't doubt brozone loves him, but there is an element of "what he can do" that is applied, whether intentional or not. They needed him for the band, they needed him for the harmony. Barb doesn't do that, she brings him along to show him, to show him a part of himself that he didn't realize was there, yes she wants to learn, but it's about him, not what he can do.

I mean even Clay isn't fit to rule rock like yeah he can co rule the put put and another thing is to rule all of rock

Clay would be good at the behind the scenes things, pushing paper work, creating laws, following rule etc. But he would struggle with being the face that a ruler needs to be. He hates his friendly public persona, and has over corrected his priorates to make sure he's not associated with it. He wants to be seen as serious, and that trumps all other issues, If he doesn't think people take him as serious all the time, then he he won't listen to them. This is why he and Viva works so well, while she had her own issues and trauma, she know how to make friends with people and get them to listen to her, without worrying about their personal opinion of her.

another thing to consider is how little support the other brother would have if hey what to claim the throne if something happens to Barb

like who are gonna support the guy who literally make that all the especially of trolls are in peace once more who managed to stop the war between giant eating monster and his people and is literally the most pop rock troll ever

or his brother who abandoned him and all their responsibilities just because of a band

Branch definitely is the one with the most popular vote.
