Just wanted to say I saw and loved your tags on my fortnight mv post!!!! When I first watched the video I actually thought the scene on the street was a flashback where Post was playing Joe rather than Matty, but I think the idea that it's a fantasy makes more sense with them being literally inside her head and the story we get on the rest of the record with Guilty As Sin, Fresh Out the Slammer, etc. But I still think Post's character playing multiple roles/combining multiple muses is a really cool interpretation of the video!!

I just feel like there's so many parts of the album where they're almost interchangable and his lack of tattoos in that flashback made me wonder if it was trying to signal a different man. Also, the blue on the typewriter feels like SUCH a Joe signal, she knows we know what blue means and it comes back so often in this album!

But your post helped me understand so many other little details, like the tattoos on her face signifying her being "under the influence" of the drug from the beginning and the significance of the flaming papers.

My chosen name is Robby, but my full name for writing purposes is *drumroll* Robert Michael Auden. The meaning is “Shining Old Friend (who is) a Gift from God.” I chose Robert because it’s the full version of Robby. Michael because I love the whole archangel association.
