"wealth affords us a great many of freedoms, innately one of those freedoms is self-expression." they're not in the business of heart-to-hearts, ever-guarded by a mountain of ledgers and paperwork, but the banker thinks that this is kaeya's attempt at connection ; they know better than to deny pierro's son an audience so hastily. "so ― how do you see yourself? who is kaeya alberich?"

“Good morning, Saihara-chan!” Punctuating every syllable, he sways from side to side right in front of his door. He brings up the chocolate cake—partially to show it off ( a simple little thing, he was never one for cooking, and he dare not ask Toujou, let alone anyone, for help ) and partially as if to throw it.

Oh, but he's not going to. That'd be a waste of cake. And money. And his time spent hours in the kitchen slaving on this stupid thing. “I bet you thought I'd forget, didn't you?” Kokichi didn't, of course, but he's been holed up trying to make something to one up everyone―jeez, he's not doing this out of the kindness of his heart and because he actually like, likes Saihara, he insists!―that he may or may not be late on the date.

He raises the cake higher, and it slowly slides downwards on the plate. “Happy birthday! This time, I promise I didn't add anything inedible!”

...It may taste a bit burnt, though.

"Ah, good morning, Ouma...." The way Kokichi is holding that cake, makes Shuichi trail off nervously... "....k-kun.... D..Did you make that? It looks nice...! In my favorite flavor and everything...!" No, surely he was only holding it like that so that Shuichi can get a good look at it...right? With this prankster, he wouldn't put it past him him to throw it... but if that was the cake, he's sure Kokichi would have snuck up on him or something. Plus, it really does look too good of a cake to waste for such a prank... and so, his shoulders relax, as he answers:

"A-Ah, no, I didn't think that... if anything, I was just surprised I hadn't seen you until now. But now I see why that is: you baked this cake...just for me...?" He doesn't know how well Kokichi's baking skills are, but he can't imagine it must have been easy to bake this. He was touched.... "It looks good... you did a great job on it, Ouma-kun. Thank you!"

Seeing him slide the cake onto the plate, he just gives a playful eye roll at that 'inedible' joke. "Oh how sweet of you to make sure of that. Goodness..." He chortles, before he uses a fork and a knife to cut himself a slice. Then as he takes a bite, he does taste a bit of the burnt part, which makes his face scrunch up ever so slightly for a moment... but other than that, the cake tastes delicious.. uttering a content hum as he takes another bite of it.

"...And is good! I love it. Thank you so much again, Ouma-kun!" He takes a moment to finish the rest of that slice, not even affected by the slight burnt tastes, anymore. Then...after a bit of hesitation.... "......." He goes over and pulls Kokichi into a soft hug. Even if he's the one who initiated it: his face is so red....

"S....S-S-Sorry if this is too forward, u-um. I just.....v-very touched you baked me a cake, s-so I thought I would, um: e-express that more thoroughly....y-yes."

Then after a long minute, he releases him, since he's nervous if that was okay to do... and before his cheeks burn even worse... "S-So!! Would you like s-some of this cake, too? I know you made it for me, b-but I would be happy t-to enjoy it together with you...!!"

wonwoo: he’s all smiles for you hehe. clings onto your arm whenever you’re near him. he wouldn't be too loud or anything, but i think he'd shyly whisper compliments to you now and then about how you look nice or how much he loves you. i think he’d be one of the more chill people, he just feels happier than usual bc of the alcohol hehehhe. usually, wonu is pretty good at keeping himself composed when you show him affection. but when he’s drunk, i think he’d react a little more…he strikes me as someone who’s more verbally/physically affectionate when it’s just you two, but around friends/family he tones it down. but when he’s drunk i think he would be comfortable having you sit on his lap or having an arm around you <3

jihoon: i am convinced lee jihoon is a different man when he’s drunk!!!!!!!!!  i have a hot-ish take when it comes to drunk uji…omg woozi would SOOOO open up physically and emotionally to you..and he’d be the type to always, Always have an arm around your waist and constantly hold your hand, looking at you with a smile that leads all the way up to his eyes. he’s someone who has dealt with a lot in his life, but in this moment, he’s so grateful to be here with his friends, and someone he loves that also loves him for who he is. the reason i think he’d be like this is juts because like. he doesn’t drink much, but when he does, feelings he’s been keeping to himself finally come up to the surface. also his face, neck and ears are constantly bright red because of the alcohol LOL. but ALSO they'd be red the next day when he realizes how he behaved in front of you hehe…. don't tease him too much about it or he'll die of embarrassment!

seokmin: dont ask me why bc idk but i think he would ruffle your hair constantly because youre so cute. then he would get distracted and talk to the bros for a bit, look at you again and remember how cute you are and ruffle it again sorry i dont make the rules!!!!!!! dk is definitely the loud/funny drunk hehe…hes the type to be giggly/try to make everyone laugh :) but i think he’d definitely try to make you laugh the most !! mostly in terms of physical affection though, i think he’d just dote on you a lot…like you know in the dingo video how he kept kissing woozi??? yeah he does that to you. along with the hair ruffles. and the attempts to get you to laugh. good luck. you’re going to drown in affection from this man LOL.

vernon: HE WILL CARE YOU this man is all vibes. he’s just here to have a good time lol. you’ll probably be the drunk one who needs to be taken care of :3 but if he was somehow convinced to get really drunk, i think he would still just be vibes. but happier vibes. i think he would just laugh at everything and keep a hand constantly on your knee heheh. also i think he would encourage seungkwan’s antics more when he’s drunk i’m just saying .

minghao: minghao is just relishing in the moment of enjoying his time with his friends and partner~ he doesn't strike me as someone who drinks much, kinda like vernon. he'd be more focused on having a good time with everyone! i think he's the type to have hangover remedies ready for you at home for the next day. i think he would also be the type of bf to know when to cut you off LMAO like “y/n’s had 4 shots….hyung STOP pouring them another one!!!!!!!!” he just seems like he'd be prepared to take care of his partner :) you're so lucky!! he’s also the type to observe you and take pictures/videos if you’re doing something funny while you’re drunk LMAO!!!!

summary:  Astarion repairs your clothes, and you can no longer keep a secret.

There is something Astarion is not telling you. You can tell in the way he slouches in his chair, his hands busy with the work he took upon himself, that there is something troubling him. Learning what Cazador’s scarring says has put a damper on his mood and everyone else’s, and now you’re all caught between procrastination and pushing on to the Moonrise Towers.

The Orthon fight took a lot out of you. Your armor took quite the beating, and afterwards with the rats… You’re glad to be staying at the Last Light Inn for one more evening. Everyone is resting before the fight tomorrow, and you’re relieved. You get one more night to sleep in a bed. The darkness of the Shadow-Curse is beginning to lift thanks to Halsin and Thaniel, and the shine of Dame Aylin’s excellence has caused Isobel to bask for hours on the balcony in self-imposed giddy isolation. It’s almost normal given the circumstances.

‘What do you think Gale is going to make for supper?’ you ask absentmindedly, turning the page of your raunchy smut novel.

Astarion hums in contemplation. You rest the novel you borrowed from him on your stomach and peer over at him. He insisted you take the bed after you arrived, and now he sits next to you biting his lip and cursing as he fusses over your chainmail. It’s quaint.

‘Hopefully just wine,’ he says with a snort. ‘We’ll need all the liquid bravery we can get.’

‘Do vampires get drunk?’

‘Certainly,’ he says. ‘A willing body drinks the wine, a willing vampire drinks the blood, and then they’re both willingly shit-faced.’

The thought of Astarion stumbling around drunk off your blood makes you laugh. It almost reminds you of how silly he was after devouring a bear, and you quietly begin manifesting that Astarion is right and Gale honors the tradition. You cozy down into the sheets and pat the book over your stomach as it growls.

‘Oh, fuck it!’ Astarion snaps suddenly.

He doesn’t fling your armor down as much as he seems determined to strangle it to death. There’s thread tangled around his fingers and his feet, and he’s pushing the needle back in his mouth as he fusses with a strap. He growls like an angry kitten and rubs at his brow in frustration.

‘What’s wrong?’ you ask nervously.

‘What’s wrong?’ he echoes, annoyed. ‘What’s wrong is that your armor is shit! To send you out there wearing it is basically wishing death upon you. It’s absurd how long you’ve worn this thing.’

You frown. It’s not exactly your favorite chest piece you’ve ever had, but you’ve worn it since the Underdark and haven’t found a suitable replacement. Then again, you hadn’t really asked Dammon when you arrived… You didn’t want to bother him as he was working on Karlach’s heart, and there was so much to do…

‘You can’t   —  You can’t go out there and fight everyone’s battles in armor held together by twigs and prayers,’ Astarion sniffs delicately. ‘I can repair it sparingly, of course, but… I wouldn’t feel good about it. It isn’t safe enough.’

‘What would you have me wear, then?’ you ask. ‘Perhaps there’s some additional armor somewhere in storage.’

‘This leather belt here is salvageable,’ he explains, showing you the damage from too many spells. ‘The chain mail will hold another fight, but…’

Something possesses you. You lean in, too close to his face, and watch as he runs his fingers over torn edges. He cares. About you. It takes you by surprise even though it shouldn’t. But Astarion doesn’t fuss this way over his own armor, just yours.

You look over his handiwork. You’ve seen it before in his clothes, his favorite sleep shirt, some of his socks, his gloves. He even repaired Karlach’s armor when she first joined. His hands are lithe and strong, and he works without too much thought like it’s second nature for him. Something about it is so bone-crushingly domestic that you can’t help but want to touch his hand. You cling to your book instead.

‘You’re good at this,’ you say.

‘Well, I’ve had quite a bit of experience,’ Astarion confesses. He smiles faintly at your praise. ‘Back at Cazador’s, I … I had a family I took care of. Sometimes they’d fight one another, and I’d fix little rips and tears. Learning to fix armor is a bit new, but none too difficult.’

‘Did you have many siblings?’

‘I had plenty,’ Astarion says. ‘I didn’t like them all. But I like you, so bring me all your clothes and I’ll fix them right up. I won’t even make you ask.’

You give in. You reach a single, curious finger towards his hand and slide it across the back of his knuckles. You take in the rise and fall of his hand, the smoothness of his skin, and the veins. He flexes his fingers beneath your hand and then, without saying a word, he turns his hand over so that he can hold yours. He muses over the connection and presses his fingertips to your pulse.

Gandrel, The Orthon, Raphael’s Deal. It goes without saying there’s nothing you wouldn’t do for him. You want to tell him, but the thought of saying it made you nervous. You hold your tongue. But if there was to be a fight at the Moonrise Towers, you wanted him to know. It plagues you too much that you start to stretch, so much so that you’re afraid to speak lest you start rambling on and on about how beautiful his eyes are and how you can’t stop looking at him and how he takes your breath away.

There’s no one else you want to have to fight by your side, but it isn’t just that. There’s no one else you want.

Carefully, as though you are more fragile than you truly are, Astarion removes your hand from his to continue fussing over your armor. The feeling of his hand still lingers on your skin, and it makes your stomach ache.

‘I had better go looking, then,’ you say thickly, ‘for another chest piece to wear. ‘

‘No, don’t go yet,’ Astarion says softly. ‘I  —  There’s something I want to talk about with you.’

He doesn’t say anything else. You stare at one another, the armor forgotten between you, and like magic from the Weave, everything changes. When you lean forward, Astarion meets you halfway with the shyest kiss he has ever given you and the most honest eyes he’s ever allowed you to look upon. After tonight, nothing will be the same and you think you’re fine with that.

hello!! i'm back from earlier (the person who asked if you'd seen the new part of Dragon's Rising yet)! Anyways, I was wondering what your thoughts were/how you reacted to the Jaya fight... I literally got up and started screaming. I think the concept of Nya having hers and Jay's powers after essentially losing him is SUCH an interesting concept... but yeah. Man.

omg i have a lot of thoughts on this sit tight i will try to be as brief as possible. (warning ninjago drs2 spoilers ahead obviously !!)

initially i was actually PRETTY excited ! i think before the release/leak there were rumours that jay and nya would have a fight and ill be honest i wasnt really sure if jay was ACTUALLY going to become part of raz’s clan. i thought it was just a cool concept like yayy evil jay but NO IT WAS REAL !!! so initially i was like ohh my goodness jaya angst okayy im sat!

however as i watched the episode it felt .. very underwhelming? 😭 i think the fight was a bit short for my liking, like i would have enjoyed to see more … substance, yk?!? dont get me wrong i do agree with you; the concept sounds SO insane and crazy and wow wow wow. i was literally on the edge of my seat 5 cm away from my screen wide eyed locked in EVERYTHING. but the fact that jay was literally in one episode for like 0.589 seconds was kinda like Um okay . What now.? 

i think in retrospect it was a really great idea. to pit them against each other?? and jay doesnt have his memories??? and nya has been seeking closure as to his whereabouts, and now she finally knows he’s alive and breathing but not *her* jay????? literally insane stuff. i was super duper really really excited because i dont know if you know this but … I am a huge jaya fan … but i really really do wish we got more content arghh!! i was yearning for more jay screentime .. BUT! i think season 3 is confirmed (dont quote me on this i have no idea) so im hoping. begging. PRAYING. for more jaya content. 🙏 also another good thing to come out of this was the fact that this dearth of substance leaves a huge room for opportunities for artists/fanfic writers!! it leaves a ton of creative liberty for people to expand on the whole jay vs nya concept aaaand i eat it all up every single time ☝️ anyways thanks for the question heheee i love to ramble :^)

Echos opinion on Isabeau, hm? I don’t really know what role Isabeau would be in Echos original au, so I’ll just say that Isa is the same!! (Unsure whether Claude would go with Euphie or not,,,,she probably would methinks :3)

Echo doesn’t know too much about Isabeau, only knowing that he is was Mirabelles roommate in her original au. She knew of him as a guy who wanted to change himself! She’s sure that Mira and him are were close friends, and that made her happy!! She supported him in his acts to change, and thinks of him as a good guy! Mirabelle does get annoyed at him sometimes, but she knows they both care for each other. She’s happy about that!!

In this au, however, she doesn’t know if he’s changed or not. She doesn’t know if he’s the same. She doesn’t know if he’s that same guy who wanted to change himself from being a shy kid to a reliable guy! Bonnie doesn’t talk about him, so she just. doesn’t know? He doesn’t seem to be associated with Bonnie, since they don’t talk about him much, but still.

She honestly wishes she could know hopes that one day, she could find out if he’s alright, if he’s changed, if he’s done what he wants. She hopes that even if he hasn’t changed yet in this au, he can become someone that he loves.

I have some asks made YEARS ago that are still in my drafts because I can’t find the will to write for them. If you let your ‘old’ fics stop you from writing you’ll never post anything that you actually love.

This is not a job. You have freedom to do whatever you like and whatever makes you happy.

If you want to write about your tickle dream please do!

If someone sends you a prompt that ignites your imagination don’t let other people’s asks stop you from writing that first.

Some might disagree with that, because they’d like to see their ideas written first, but honestly, this is YOUR blog.

I write less than one fic a month. Then when I have inspiration I write everyday, non stop, until I can’t physically write anymore.

Is this the correct way? No, it’s not the correct way because a correct way simply doesn’t exist.

Write because it makes you happy and when writing doesn’t make you happy stop writing.

Write and publish things that do not satisfy you 100% and write and publish things that make you so proud you want the entire world to see.

This is your blog and you have the freedom to do whatever you want with it ♥️

Just do what makes YOU happy.
