Uh... I'm really confused at how our family tree looks. Am I related to my cousins more like siblings now? I know I was told no, but it's still really confusing. This may be something I need to ask my dad later. Just to confirm.

I also really am beginning to understand a lot of how my dad reacts to things. Like he seems nice, but he holds people at arm's length unless he really knows them. I know my uncle Emmet was bullied a lot so...

alright everyone, my most recent story post is the last of the screenshots i took all the way back in september. see how long it took me with life getting in the way? i’m so glad i finally got those out. now i can finally move forward!

BUT what that also means is it’s time for me to start setting up. got some decorating and writing to do. not to mention i haven’t updated since october and i think now is a good time for me to finally get my game updated. i’m scared but i can’t keep holding it off lmao.

please be patient with me during this! i’m still adjusting to getting back in the swing of storytelling and trying to be kind to myself and not push things past what my mental health can handle. in the meantime while we wait i’ll probably be sharing some edits and stuff.

thank you so much for all the love i’ve gotten for this story so far! i honestly didn’t expect to get such a warm reception starting a new story but you’ve all been so supportive and it’s made me so happy to be storytelling again. i love you all 💖

I've drawn him a couple of times, just really little/in the background. but I should draw him more, I love this guy a lot! I have many, many thoughts about him and the way he parallels Silver...and also I think it is extremely funny that his ghost is stuck in a ring. especially considering where that ring has been for the last 16-ish years.

i dont know how else to explain it other than your etho design is just so etho i love it. am very curious abt the details of that one time where bdubs saw etho’s full face bc i feel like that could go a very angsty direction or a very different direction…

also the logs… etho held at gunpoint omg the lore is growing!!! loving your au so much and all of your art thank you so much for sharing it <3 im obsessed

There's a little thing about Etho and his past that no one knows about until later in the story. His scars and appearance in general are related to that, that's why he doesn't like being seen upclose and kinda avoids meetings, in hopes to avoid any unwanted questions along with them (even though asking too much about past is generally considered bad manners among all "satellite hermits" anyway; it takes a certain kind of person or life situation to choose to live like this and you never know how the person might feel about it).

However after everything comes to light, he's much more comfortable with showing himself to people who know what's up (mainly Bdubs, because he trusts him the most). Sometimes he'd take off the gloves or the hat, roll his sleeves up; even the mask that one time.

(Obviously many people have seen Etho's face, but Bdubs is the only one who saw it since it got scarred like this)

I always get worried that my writing isnt very good or that I could do better (which of course I could always do better but looking at things objectively is hard sometimes) so its nice to see a mutual whos always in my corner even when I'm not updating consistently with art or new chapters

a little more serious answer: they can tell something is going on with optimus and they desperately want to pretend it's not. they don't want to know how he's aware of things he shouldn't be, how he knows stuff that should have long been forgotten, how he seems to be more familiar with them than he should be. how sometimes he speaks and it's like the dead are talking through him. how sometimes he will answer to empty air and somehow they can just tell what he's responding to. who he is talking to.

they Know. and they really, really want to pretend they don't.

they already carry the guilt of failing them once. the idea of doing it once more is unbearable and they'd rather deceive themselves than face it. they'd rather their friends stay dead and gone than think of them seeing what they've become.
