But it's not even Hannah anymore. Beth has to act in her stead, her twin's face set with anger.

Coilled muscles spring from the hiding spot. Mike is near the entrance to the cable car shack. She's got her knife pulled, the shotgun still on her back. No. No, this is going to be up close and PERSONAL.

"Mike!" She called. Heard how her voice cracked. Too many emotions to really name, just this all consuming rage and betrayal.

She stepped forward, a slow and inevitable predators approach.

Hmm none come to my mind! I'm not good with birds... Maybe sparrows? Sparrows are cute but such a rare sight to see. Blackbirds are also really cool! When you have a lawn, during spring they come over in the mornings in groups and try to dig themselves something up on it, they remind me of cows out in the grass (*´ω｀*)

4: If your Tav was a companion, where would they be found?

Crim would be at the ruined Jergal temple, on the little balcony. He can be either approached first, in which case he informs you that he overheard a group of mercenaries in the ruins talking about raiding the Nautiloid wreck and was just about to avail himself of their belongings. If the mercs are approached first and convinced to leave, Crim comes in afterward and suggests exploring the ruins together. If the mercs are engaged in a fight, Crim joins in to help.

Solstice is a bit of a latecomer... he is with Scratch, praying for the dead courier. Talking to him reveals he's been wandering the woods for a while (somehow avoiding every single person in there without realising it) and is feeling really very lonely and a bit worried about his worm at this point, but luckily he found this good boy. If Scratch is spoken to, he remarks that Solstice is a very nice new friend, but he's worried about him surviving on his own and perhaps it would be best if Tav adopted him.

14: What hobbies does your Tav have?

Crim loves reading. Non-fiction, primarily, but also porn. The lewder the better. Don't go through the bookstack in his tent unless you are mentally and physically ready. Beside that... can you call bathing a hobby? It's not really swimming because he prefers to just sit or float, but boy does he love being in water, especially if it's warm and scented.

Solstice does pottery. His favourite to make are saucers and bowls for drinking and generally anything made on a pottery wheel. He can also make little figurines (mostly animals, they are simplistic but cute), but he prefers the meditative movement of the wheel.

28: Is your character the de facto leader of the party? Or do they consider someone else to be the leader?

Crim shares leadership with his co-Tav, Kell (courtesy of Phex up there). They escaped the Nautiloid together, and started out with Crim leading the group, but once they entered the Underdark, Crim deferred to Kell instead since this was his home turf, and after that, they're equally guiding the party and driving the events forward.

Solstice is very much a follower. His co-Tav Eloryn (also Phex's) leads the group. Solstice is way too impulsive and guileless to lead a group like this through events like these.

30: What's your favorite thing about your Tav?

My favourite thing about Crim is that he's a perfectly sculpted catholic lucifer statue like so many spellcasters in the world of D&D, he is often skirting the line to Being A Bad Guy due to his insatiable hunger for magical knowledge and power, and his selfishness and recklessness associated with it... but he never once even touches that line due to his strong sense of morality and integrity. (And also because behind all that perfectly manicured and seductive appearance and complete confidence in his magic is just a scared and grieving circus boy from Rivington.)

My favourite thing about Solstice is that he is the archetypical himbo (which is not my normal OC type): he is pretty, he is beefy, he is kind and generous and he is extremely pure of heart and dumb of ass. There is something very relaxing about RPing him... make all the Good Boy decisions, expend no mental effort, enjoy the bite-able tiddy. None braincell with left beef.

EEEEHEHEHHEHE I'M SO HAPPY YOU ASKED ABT THIS ONE I AM SO MUCH FUCKING FUN WITH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! okok but so . it is a different world and it is a different suguru (though i can't lie there are similarities between them both anyway lmao). he does not resent violence nor is he afraid of it, this suguru is a pretty cold one. he's definitely meaner than the ihtctaot suguru.

the thing is that suguru drops to his knees willingly and the reader is the one who doesn't and that's what makes them clash so hard. neither of them like each other, reader dislikes suguru because they think he's just a dog, doing whatever the king says with his tail wagging and suguru dislikes the reader because they're disobedient. they only reason the reader is trying to become a knight is literally just that they'll have a job, that they'll have a roof over their head and so in suguru's eyes, they're not worth it. they're just faking it and they need to be punished for it.

but the reader takes the punishment and just pushes through, never wavering for even a moment and that on its own makes suguru seethe. because in a way, this is devotion too. you're so hell bent on not giving up just to spite him and to claim the stupid fucking title even though you don't care for it.

don't get me wrong though, this will not be angst. bloody lips and bruised knuckles, it's a twisted kind of love.

According to Spotify my most repeated song this year is Carpathian Forest's 'Journey Through the Cold Moors of Svarttjern'. I'm a tad surprised since I phased on em again relatively late this year but it's fair tbh I Did live on this one for a bit

Urgehal's 'Goatcraft Torment' that I just been coming back to again n again this year. Been a while since I got into such a strong urgehal mood but it was nice,, wish I could see them again if only they hadn't split for good wahh

8- Game of the year?

I frankly have barely touched a game at all this year, in part due to Circumstances(tm) and in part due to just not being in the mood for it bhGBH I suppose by default I'll point at Monkey Island cuz it's the one and only game I've really properly started (re)playing this year, and I'd have def continued if I wasn't brainrotting about other things

9- Best month for you this year?

Kind of a bummer maybe but, September, when I finally was able to go home after more than 3 months of homelessness due to the fire 🫠 It was an immense relief to just,, be able to have my space again fhbfb

The Goons, name for group of international friends I made (alongside @ Birb) at the beginning of this year,, Met em at the local bar during a concert w my two other english speaking friends and I was like "you guys aint french?? You're hanging out with us Now" and at the end of the night I was like "You guys are coming back next week so we can hang again (an order)" and well guess it didn't scare em off cuz they did stick around and we hang out regularly now. I love em to bits

13- How was your birthday this year?

Completely uneventful and unremarkable LMAO as it usually is tbf. I have somewhat of an odd relationship w my bday due to many reasons, but in this case I also had been at the bar literally the night before (with aforementioned Goons), had drank plenty, and realized it was my birthday by complete accident the next day. We all were too tired to hang out again after such a long evening the day before so I just went home to vegetate

Hmm good question, I don't think I picked up anything new, more like bad habits got exacerbated depending on situations. I think my RSD got worse this year, probably not helped w all the shit I've dealt with but still,, I wanna try and get it under better control again

i love love loveee warrior cats analysis because it's fascinating to do deeper dives into characters and scenes, finding new ways of viewing and talking about them, and you can get some really interesting ideas out of it, but also incredibly frustrating because you see what the authors failed to deliver on for some unknown reason-my main belief is that it's a combination of needing to put out books fairly regularly and that they've realized that they can put out books riddled with spelling errors, inaccurate lore, and a rather shoddy plot and still make bank. at least you can put the things you've noticed into your own works!

There's so many angles you can consider warrior cats from and analyze the characters by because of the inconsistencies and the author teams consistent misogyny, ableism and racism ect

You can take it by the character actions overall, try to draw a through line for them that explains character shifts.

You can try to identify a point where they were a character and then became inconsistent or flanderized. But how can you do that when warrior cats will interchangeably cast its characters as Antagonistic assholes from book to book regardless of if it's inline with their personality. How do you even center a character in a series that will wholesale change the moral baseline of the world at random to suit the current plot.

And all fandom is gonna have ppl coming away with radically different takes on characters, but I think the sheer inconsistency of warrior cats makes that tenfold in a fascinating way. Especially when you add in the amv/map scene creating a secondary soft canon that people learn about the characters through.

But yeah no it's 100% the schedule, we know they don't use a series bible, we know the remaining core authors just write a skeleton and pass it back to ghost writers who don't read the previous books. I also think it just refuses to really try new things, the new books try to critique the clan structure and starclan but it's too afraid to commit to any real upheaval. They're still banking on nostalgia in a lot of ways by still centering on thunderclan, first and second arc nostalgia, and the 3 pov arc structures. I know the recent series it seemed like it'd benefit from being a pure riverclan pov for example.

It's definitely informed how I write, and what kinda topics I'm interested in. Unfortunately it takes me like 5000 years to do work on my own stories but I will immediately drop everything I was doing to write wc analysis.

so scully is a he/him butch lesbian with soso many issues and problems and shit. he was raised by his pa, a stern bitter old veteran, and scullys ma ran off after he was born. his pa was hard on him, he wanted a son anyhow and when scully started acting masculine he thanked God for givin him a broken daughter and started teaching scully how to be a man. unfortunately this included such beautiful wonderful things such as 'men dont cry' and 'caring for animals makes you look weak' and stuff like that. as a kid scullys pa started getting sick, and they were too poor to do anything about it living in a shack that his pa built, so scully dropped out of middle school and picked up an apprenticeship with a local butcher!!!! his pa was bedridden, so scully took the laz-e-boy that his pa usually slept in, started working, started smoking, and started cooking. his pa told him that cooking was a womans job but he was busy dying in bed and scully was able to steal the scraps from his job so they got by. scullys dad died, and scully dug his pa's grave and nailed together two boards to make a cross and he didnt cry. he just started sleeping in the bed again

but thats all background shit because nowadays this is whats important: scully would throw himself into a volcano if a woman told him to. he falls so utterly head over heels for any gal who so much as looks his way its FUCKED. in school the gals realized this and got him beatin other people up for their lunch money and scully was happy to do it. nowadays he would give a lady the shirt off his back for a kiss blown his way. he holds doors for people and he stumbles over his words and he talks while he smokes by tucking the cigarette in the corner of his mouth. he cooks a lot now, the kitchen in that little shack slowly taking over the whole place like a mold, and he feeds the scraps and bone and gristle to the stray dogs and cats.

he was an angry cruel kid and he was tempered into a kind, awkward, super mega autistic adult. AND! he brews the scariest hooch ever in his house its so scary looking dont drink it. he can still hold his own in a fight but will just take the hits unless its to help a lady, in which case he is letting out years of trauma and anger on your face to turn it into ground beef. hes awesome he has so many issues and he sucks and i love him. i havnt managed to shove him fully into the ebautiful world of tf2 yet (he originated from disco elysium!) but i think it would be funny if hes dating scouts ma and now scout has a new stepdad who keeps trying to be his pal but doesnt got a handle on the whole 'fatherhood' thing as a concept yet.

“This is inhumane.” You pant, your hands on your thighs as you lean down. The pavement fills your vision, and you can hear Marc jogging on the spot a few feet away. 

“You’re doing really well, just a little more.” He doesn’t even sound out of breath.

“No, no more.” You stand up fully, sweat shining on your face. “I think I’m gonna be sick.” You add the last part on for dramatic effect. 

Marc gives you a sweet smile, his head cocked to the side as keeps moving. “No you’re not.” 

“I am.” 

“Just once more around, then we can go back.” He’s still smiling, giving you that classic customer service expression that he can do so perfectly. You’re going to do exactly what I want, you know you are. 

“Marc, please-”

He shakes his head, starting to move a little faster, really going for those high knees. “You can do it.” 

“Your shorts are not family friendly.” You pull a dramatic shocked face, trying to distract him. 

“Nah, they’re fine, you’re not going to get out of this that easily.” He chuckles, moving behind you to lightly push on your shoulders. You start to jog. Slowly. 

“I hate this.” You mutter. 

“You said you wanted to get into-”

“I know what I said.” You grumble and give him the kicked puppy look. 

He just laughs, “Aww, baby.” and leans to the side, his hands holding your cheek briefly, so he can give your sweaty temple a kiss. “Hmm,” he smacks his lips together, teasingly. “Salty.” 

“Don’t.” You give him a glare, but you’re laughing. You nod towards the park entrance you’re coming up to, with the thick outcrop of bushes. “How about we just give this up and I’ll make it worth your while over there?” 

He laughs, “You’re really not feeling this are you?” 

You jog a little longer in silence - on your part, besides your heavy breathing. Marc kindly mentions your form ever so often, helping to correct you and reminding you to breathe. 

“You don’t even look warm.” You sigh.

“Practice.” He grins. 

You roll your eyes, “Egyptian god interference more like.” 

“What was that?” He raises his eyebrows at you, but you know it’s playful.

“Egyptian gods!” You say a little louder, making your voice as cheery as possible. 

He snorts. “If that helps you sleep at night.” 

“No,” you pout, being silly on purpose. “You’re meant to argue with me.” 

“Am I?” 

“Yes.”

“Hmm.” He pretends to think, “Gotta catch me then.” and breaks into a sprint. 

You swear loudly and race after him. “I’m gonna rub my sweaty face all over you!”

He giggles, “I’m counting on it!”

Dabi came back to the hideout late again. The scent of burnt flesh and smoke along with heat radiated off him, you saw he’d overdone it again. You stood up from your seat, approaching him though he simply ignored you, going upstairs as if he was in a hurry.

“Hey!” you called after him but were met with silence. What’s up with him lately?

Rushing upstairs, you headed to his room. Dabi was standing in front of his dirty mirror, shirtless, while staring at his body. You shivered while looking at the new burns that appeared on his once healthy skin on his back, it looked painful. His face was expressionless, as if he was studying his own doing and contemplating whether it was good or bad.

“..you okay?” you whispered.

“Does it seem like it?” he grumbled and you swallowed nervously. He sounded pissed off, but at the same time exhausted.

“Right..lemme grab the lotion” you said without asking further questions. You heard him say in distance ‘no need to’ but you simply ignored it. Dabi just loved to decline help when he clearly needed it. When you came back to his room he was sitting on his bed, elbows on his knees and his face resting on his hands, looking down on the floor.

Something was bothering him, it was clear as day.

Without saying a word you went behind him, applying the lotion on his new burns, which earned a hiss from the man. You apologised though he knew you had no fault. You both stayed there for a couple of minutes without talking at first.

“Burned down a forest.” he suddenly said, the tone on his voice holding that nonchalance as if he’d done the most casual thing a normal person could do.

“Oh..” you frowned. “Why?”

“Angry.”

You hummed as you began to massage his shoulders slowly and carefully to not hurt him. He let out a soft grunt, as he let himself relax in your hands. It was kind of unusual for Dabi to talk when he was moody, but with you he felt like he could talk a bit more.

“Did something or someone make you angry?” you asked softly, continuing to help release the tension off his shoulders.

“Mmm.. someone” he whispered. “Always the someone that’s fuelled my anger since the beginning”

You raised an eyebrow at his answer, wondering who this person might be that drove him so mad. It was probably someone who affected him deeply, to the point he became who he is today. Someone he probably never forgives and wants to kill.

“…will you tell me who it is?”

“No” he cut you off, his answer short and sharp. You shut your mouth, nodding and not prying any further. Though deep down you were dying to know who it was, who made Dabi feel such emotions, such anger.

“I’ll tell you when the time is right” Dabi said again, as if reading your curious thoughts.

After being done with everything, you looked over his back once again to check if the treatment was good.

“Okay I think I’m done. I’ll just uhh.. go now. Sorry for bothering you” you said, preparing to leave. But his scarred hand touched yours, stopping you there and preventing you from leaving. It was warm and it gave you tingles. Dabi had never touched your hand like this before.

You gulped down and looked at him confused. He had the softest look in his eyes and you had to blink twice to make sure this was real. That stare made you feel fuzzy and warm inside.

“Stay” he whispered.

You didn’t know but to him you were the only source of comfort and peace of mind. You had no healing quirk, but for some reason your presence was able to heal him from the inside and make him feel alive.

I fully blame you for the Scott Pilgrim content on my fyp now. Not a bad things, just haven't watched any of it before lmaoooo. So now I have so much content idk what to do with it. Guess I should indulge and watch it/read it *sigh*

Hehe I’m kidding ofc, I wouldn’t be surprised if I was mostly to blame… ive been reblogging stuff lately. I’ve been super into it since March of 2022, I’ve read the comics like 4 times… I definitely recommend it!!!!!!!

The best way to enjoy this story is definitely through the comics so give those a read if you’re willing! I wouldn’t consider it thaaat long, it’s a quick enough read id say!

The movie is also really great too though!

And tbhhhhh although artistically genius and amazing, immmm actually not that big a fan of the tv show on Netflix 🥱 SUE ME -_-

It’s very fan servicey and self referential as well which I don’t mind that in particular but I also don’t understand how it independently spawned a whole fanbase separate from the other iterations because personally I’m of the belief that, stand alone, no context, it’s pretty terrible. It suffers a lot of the same problems the movie did too but like. Even worse. So if you do wanna watch it, just don’t watch it first.

But that’s just me I guess because like I said, a lot of people who had never heard of Scott Pilgrim before then watched it and apparently liked it so 😓😓
