GIRLL DID 🫵🏾🫵🏾🫵🏾YOU🫵🏾🫵🏾🫵🏾 JUST INSIST THAT FRAT!PETER HAS A PAIN KINK???
But uh, I would imagine trouble not being able to get that out of her head..so she conducts experiments right? Lets say a random bruise comes up and she pokes (jabs) it during sexy time and see’s how he reacts. idk just a tho(ugh)t 🤷🏾‍♀️
Man o man thank you for fueling my daydream scenario’s
so we know that she doesn't know peter's spiderman and sometimes he's got a stray bruise or two but it's easy to brush over. BUT-
one night, he's made her come so many times she feels like she's floating. and while peter's fucking into her as deep as he could go, her eyes focus on a bruise on his ribcage, just under his left pec.
without thinking, she jammed her thumb into it.
peter's hips stuttered, his breath caught when he choked out a 'fuck!'
she looked up at him and made a bold choice, sinking her teeth into his shoulder while pushing her weight into his bruise. peter let out a stangled moan, whimpering for 'harder, harder, harder.'
gasping when he feels tears prickle at the back of his eyes, the pain she unleashed made him buckle. 'hurts so good, so good, it's-' peter squeezed his eyes shut when she released his skin and took a bigger, deeper bite.
'fuck!'
and it was at that moment- trouble knew he had a pain kink and she was going to explore it like she was christopher colombus.

can we please hear the story of how Topher managed to accidentally preform a ritual on how to see and talk to ghosts? Also can he only see his clone-father or can he see other spirits as well?
this whole AU is amazing and I’m sad that we didn’t see any ghosts/hallucinations of historical figures in the reboot. (I mean Abe was always doing it in season one…)
Hi!!!! Thanks for showing interest in the story! After consulting my friend, we agreed to share the full story I wrote. The story is on Google Doc, it's 10 pages focused on Topher and his clone twin Chris (character based of Topher's beta design) I have spent almost 3 days perfecting it so I hope you will enjoy the reading! LINK UNDER THE CUT In canon for now, only Topher can see the ghosts yes! But it could change depending on how we want the ghosts stories to evolve! The only way others can interact with their clone parents are through dreams, but they can't really control it and don't know it's their clone parent's spirits invading their slumber. Thanks so much to like this AU! I fr would love more of ghost parents 'interaction' in season 3, or at least give Abe his facination for his own clone dad back PLS And in this AU's rules, the hallucination/dream of Abe were actually the ghost of Abraham interacting with him with his ghost powers It's just silly to imagine fr!
Here is the link for the story!

Liam Wilhelmina appreciation post ACOC ep 7
"You know, like, all my brothers and stuff here suck, so it would just be great to get away and not have to play STAIRS anymore... It's where I'm- it's where they c- they run up a bunch of stairs, but I have to be every stair. It's, I play all the stairs, I'm just- I'm making myself taller by standing up a little bit more as each... foot is on my head and then they all go into the uh- fort. Hahaha! But... you know, I'm the stairs, so I don't... No one's a stair for me."
"I would say I'm grossly neglected!!"
He transitions to being a gloom stalker ranger which... very heavy. He is, as Ally puts it, "not in a good place right now". But also: goth Liam (thank you Siobhan)!
"Can I... puch Thad so hard his pit flies out and say 'We need the carriage NOW'?" And then gets a nat 20. "This is a new Liam. WAKE UP."
"I think that sounds great!" Can I roll a stealth check so I can cry, by myself, hidden, somewhere in this carriage? *Rolls a 3 and loudly sobs*
"I think I might be a war guy now!!!" On a loop, while still sobbing.
"Killing blow!" I just look at my hands...
"Actually, I just remembered, we might not be able to go by sea, because uh... Preston gets seasick! [Remembers Preston is dead] AAAAAAAUGH" Resumes sobbing, cuts his bed roll in half so it's Preston size and just holds it. Truly devastating stuff.
More of a straight up Ally quote but "Can I make an insight check with advantage to see if Primsy will come [on her wedding night]?" is too good.
Tries to roll to hide, but rolls a nat 1 cause he is, as Brennan puts it, "actively weeping and can't hide". So he just kinda floats face down in a crate of milk. This is a crown prince.
In the most serious voice you've ever heard: "Hello Annabelle. Your haircut looks... fresh. And it's really masculine, yes feminine, in a way that's strong, yet tender."
Asking for a complex and huge political favor: "I'll have my dad, Joren Jawbreaker, personally thank you and shake your hand, and sign anything that you want him to sign. He's got a lotta merch. He's got a lot of books about Kama Sutra, and between him and his partners and his partners' partners, there are over 35 sexy singles of any sexuality or gender that you could desire. And you, would get eaten alive upside down by that group because they would find you so attractive. Eaten alive, Annabelle! They would turn you inside out and eat you ALIVE!" Brennan gives Ally advantage for boldness and disadvantage for madness, which cancels out to straight persuation.
And since this is, at it's core, an Ally Beardsly appreciation post, moments from the AP:
"I've been texting with a bunch of teens..." And then immediately putting their hands up and adding: "No, sorry, that sounds insane!"
"Zero animal crossing, zero fun, I'm on social media, honey. I'm on Twitter now! I'm on Tiktok, honey!!"
Ally didn't realize that Chris Colombus was a real person and instead chose the wildly more convoluted explanation, which was to assume that Siobhan thought CHRISTOPHER COLOMBUS had written the Goonies and for some reason gave him a cute nickname??? They then ask her: "You're pretty close with Christopher Colombus?"
"That's my note that says 7:30, and I don't know why!"

Giselly’s presentation about March For Our Lives was very important. I remember the first time I was introduced to this issue. As a kid, I think you can’t come up with anything bad on your own; inherent thoughts of evil don’t exist, that is naivety, and you don't know what you don't know. I remember not knowing that school shooting and violence against kids was a thing. I didn’t know that evil existed in the world until I was in second grade and the Sandy Hook tragedy happened. I also don’t think I truly understood what had really happened. Now, these school shootings happen so often all the time we’re all unsurprised and numb. It happens; we get in shock, we cry, we ask for change, and we wait for it to happen again. During the presentation, I thought about how an ex-NRA chief was tricked into giving a graduation speech to 3,044 empty chairs standing in for victims of gun violence. Seeing the vastness of all the empty chairs across the field continues to move me. I hope one day we can stop living in a country that sees access to arms as a right but housing, food, and healthcare as a privilege.
youtube
I often do think about the in-class activity where we had to choose a present monument we would change and why. We discussed the importance of monuments, what they signify, and the recent removal of many historically racist monuments throughout the country. This discussion made me consider Columbus circle. Columbus is such a popular name for places and things, that it is just normal to hear everywhere. I don’t necessarily automatically associate “Colombus” with Christopher Columbus every time, thats how prevalent it is, it has become its own thing. Naturally, there is obviously a reason for the prevalence of his name, though it is from his now critiqued historical wrongdoings- naming a significant amount of places after him were once more in display of respect or admiration. Usually, around the city I wouldn’t really pay mind to monuments or statues. But now I do. I think it is important and a sign of progression to look withing as a whole and reflect on what it is we stand for as a population. What do we care about, what do we want to change, and who do we want to be?
Since we had a guest lecture regarding stop Line 3, I felt compelled to learn more about the movement. I am grateful for the mainly indigenous people and organizations out there fighting at the front lines for our environment, something we all benefit from. Though it was still concerning and disappointing how small support towards this cause seems compared to others. I hope to be able to help or contribute in some shape or form; I think even knowing and being interested in it is a step in the right direction.
Tumblr media
I love this imagery that is used for the movement.
I learned and felt a lot in this class, and I'll never forget it.
Thank you.

Survey #343
“i slither like a viper and get you by the neck  /  i know a thousand ways to help you forget about her”
What's your favorite kind of bear? I don't really know. I just like bears. Have you ever sent a FWD because you were afraid? Ha, yup, as a little kid. Would you ever date more than one person at a time? Nooooo sir. Have you ever rebounded... or been someone's rebound? No. What’s the biggest argument you’ve ever had with a family member? Did things ever go back to how they were beforehand? My grandmother cursed me the fuuuuck out one night as a kid because I was in a mood and didn't tell my mother goodnight. I still remember being called an ungrateful bitch with her like an inch from my face, and admittedly, I was being rude because I wanted to go home, but it kinda scarred me for life. For the remainder of her life, I was always sort of on edge around her and was convinced she didn't like me. Have you ever experienced some kind of natural disaster? I've been through lots of hurricanes. None that massively affected my life, though. If you have pets, do you feed them human food or do they just get regular pet food? If they do get human food, what’s their favorite thing to have? Venus is a snake, so she obviously doesn't get food meant for humans. Roman is very well-trained to not beg or make a move for people's food; he tried once as a kitten, and giving him a pop taught him right away. Have you ever been in a physical fight? Who won? No. What’s the mode of transport that you take or use the most? The car. Mom's, specifically. Have you ever had a zoo keeper experience or anything where you’ve been able to go behind the scenes and look after/feed the animals? No, but I wish. :( Would you ever want the responsibility of being a politician or a similar position of power? NOOOOOOO. What’s something your parents do that really annoys you? Mom is *always* right, pretty much indisputably. And she WILL have the last word. Dad, meanwhile, can be pretty rude to people. I don't think he realizes it half the time, but still. It's not an excuse. What is your main source of anxiety? Social interactions. What’s your favorite 90s cartoon? Pokemon. Describe the moment you realized you were falling in love with someone. I'd rather not. What’s your favorite sparkling water brand/flavor? I've never tried sparkling water. What’s your favorite makeup brand/brands? I don't have a favorite, considering I don't wear it nearly enough and have never even bought my own. I just use whatever Mom buys. What are some female names you would name a baby? Alessandra is my favorite for sure. I also love Anneliese, Justine, Evelyn, Chloe, Evangeline, Quinn... There's a lot. What about male? Severin is my favorite, and I also like Damien, Vincent, Victor, and Luther. Do you have any subscription boxes? No. What fictional creature would you like as a pet? I want a dragon, goddammit. Idc if it can breathe fire ok I want a dragon. Ewoks are also the one and only thing I enjoy from Star Wars. What kind of dwelling do you live in? Just a one-story house. Is there anyone you work with that you don't get along with? Why? N/A Do you have an opinion on adopting/purchasing a pet? PLEASE adopt, especially with cats and dogs, given the number of strays. Purebreds tend to have so many underlying issues, and besides, it's just a LOT of money for an animal that probably wouldn't outlive a mutt. Don't feed the machine if you can. What's your favorite chain restaurant? The Cheesecake Factory or Olive Garden. Why were you last pulled over? I’ve never been pulled over before. What was the last thing you've done on the water? Just kinda swam around a bit in the ocean. It was so warm, totally like a bath. I do NOT miss that sun poisoning, though. Are you cool with swimming in a lake? I think I'd do it if someone invited me to, and the lake didn't look filthy, of course. Do you have a drone? No. What's your favorite hole-in-the-wall restaurant? We have this tiny, local Mexican place that's really good. I don't know the name of it, and I wouldn't share it for obvious reasons. What do you order from there? Chips and salsa of course, along with a shrimp and cheese quesadilla, and finally their cheesy rice. What's your favorite ice-cream flavor? Depending on my mood, it bounces between vanilla with chocolate syrup or just plain chocolate. Do you have any t-shirts from any local businesses? No. Do you listen to any talk shows or podcasts? I used to listen to Mark, Bob, and Wade's podcast, but I'm like... ten months behind, haha. What's something someone calls you that you find endearing? I like "love" a lot. What's your favorite children's book? I loved books like The Rainbow Fish, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Stellaluna, 10 Minutes 'til Midnight, What Makes a Rainbow?, Chrysanthemum, etc. Is there a new season for a series you're excited to come out? Meerkat Manor comes back this summer, and I am fucking HYPED. How old are you? I'm 25. What is something unique you enjoy about the one you like/love? I tease her about it all the time, but it's really cute that she keeps all of her snakes' good sheds in her room. Proud reptile mom. Are you more liberal or conservative? I'm close to the middle, but I lean towards being more liberal, and I seem to go more that way with time. Do you watch American Horror Story? I used to. I saw the entire first season and really liked it, and then I almost finished the second, but I lost interest. The story got a bit stupid imo. I'd be willing to watch other seasons, though. Does your hometown have any urban legends/scary stories? None that I’m aware of. The people there are scary enough. What's the scariest nightmare you remember having? Let's not talk about it. Are you medicated? Uh very. Are there any apps you're addicted to? Nah. Did you have a favorite stuffed animal as a child? It was initially a bunny holding a polka-dotted blanket, then it become a moose I got from Cabela's when in Ohio. Do you still collect stuffed animals? Only meerkat ones. Have you ever stolen/borrowed clothes from an ex? Haha I've worn Jason's pj pants before and they just kinda... became mine, lol. What's the last movie you watched at home? The Shining, I believe. What's the last movie you watched in theaters? The CGI remake of The Lion King. I still don't get why it was received so badly. Have you ever had eggs cooked over a campfire? I don't think so, no. If you do drink, what's your favorite alcoholic beverage? Margaritas, generally. However, Sara's dad made me this absofuckinglutely incredible chocolate drink before that tasted like a milkshake. It had like, no alcohol flavor, which worked out well for me considering I very much dislike that taste. Are there any songs you've been listening to repetitively lately? There's a new one every day lately, haha. Today it's Halocene's cover of "Love Bites (So Do I)." Cereal, granola, or oatmeal? Cereal. What TV shows did you grow up watching? You gotta gimme an age group... but I'd say the typical stuff for kids of that time. What does your phone case look like? It's just a boring purple that came with it. What were your favorite toys to play with as a child? I looooved playing with my "family" of a father crocodile, a mother deer, their two "children" (a fawn and smaller croc), and "friends" that were little Pokemon figurines. Then there was an evil t-rex with two stupid sidekicks, haha. I can't remember what dinosaurs they were. What's the most embarrassing thing you can ever remember doing? Hold on, lemme find my book. Do you remember what you dreamt about last night? I only very faintly recall dreaming about my cat Roman. Have you ever done anything embarrassing in a dream? Thank FUCK they're just dreams. Do you vape? Nah. What was a song you loved as a child? So uh. Apparently. I loved "Dookie" by Green Day. It's an undying story from Mom about how it came on once at a putt-putt place and I apparently started yelling "dookie!" and dancing. Do you enjoy the Arctic Monkeys? Yeah, I love some of their songs. Are you going to see Finding Dory? You bet your sweet ass I saw it. I've cried everytime I've watched it. Have you ever been horseback-riding? I have not, but I would love to. When was your last piercing? Whenever I got my tragus done, which I can't remember. What did your first crush look like? I don't remember my puppydog love first crush, but I can talk about my first REAL crush, Sebastian. He's a skinny dude with short, brown hair and a lip piercing... I can't remember which kind. He dressed in an emo style, and Facebook pictures at least suggest he still kind of does, I think. Is your body more curvy or flat? Well, I'm not at all skinny, so... What's your least favorite holiday? Probably Christopher Colombus Day, honestly. You didn't discover shit. Don't pretend to me it's worth celebrating in a clean conscience. if you’re having a boring day what do you usually do? If I'm rock-bottom bored, quite honestly, I normally nap, even though I know I shouldn't. Do you turn to food when you're upset? Ugh, I'm admittedly an emotional eater. I got way better about it, and then I started up again. Is your bf/gf good with your parents? I don't have an s/o. Do you think soda should be served at school? Vending machines are fine I suppose, as I don't believe they should be free seeing as they're nothing but sugar content, and I feel schools shouldn't just hand that out to kids at lunch or something. Do dogs have feelings? They sure do. Are you afraid of snakes? Oh no! I adore them. I respect snakes and am going to give wild ones their space for sure considering I don't recognize every native venomous one, but nevertheless, I'm not afraid of them. They are so vital to the ecosystem and are incredibly fascinating animals that deserve our protection. On that note, PLEASE do not kill any snake you come across in your shed or whatever. Call someone to relocate the terrified thing. Favorite snack? It depends on what I'm in the mood for, really. Ever seen The Notebook? Read the book, seen the movie plenty of times. Do you think cussing is trashy? No. Who is the most famous person you’ve met, if any? Nobody. Do you own any animals that aren’t domestic? No. Have you ever feared that you would lose a body part? No. Do you like gore? Yeah, generally. Do you like to drink water? Ugh, I really don't. I wish I did. Have you ever had a wax? I used to get my eyebrows waxed. Do you have any sets of matching bras and underwear? No. Are you any good at improv? Not at ALL.

unsolicited online dating advice
let's be real, i was just as blindsided as the next person and had no clue that a few months into this wretched year of our lorde 2020 we would be living through a major historical event that is the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic. so now, i'm home from university with nothing else to do, stuck in quarantine with no idea how long it would last. couple that with the fact that i am a complete gen z stereotype in the sense that i am always glued to my phone and my laptop, talking to strangers on the internet and broadcasting every single vapid detail of my relatively uninteresting life to a just-as-uninterested audience, and you have yourself a recipe for disaster.
two weeks and a thousand pages into the pornhub home page later, i got tired of the rinse and repeat and decided i wasn't gonna be that bitch who gets carpal tunnel less than a month into quarantine. question is, where would i put all the pent-up sexual frustration into now that the sweet release of pulling the padge is no longer an option? the answer? tinder.
by the time i finally got used to the sour taste that "e-dating" brings to my mouth, i realized i needed a game plan.
don't get me wrong, i'm no stranger to tinder and online dating, and i'm not even kidding when i say it's legitimately a war zone out there. god forbid u get hit by a stray hormone in the battlefield (in which case, f in the chat for our fallen soldier). but with the current situation in mind i knew i wasn't going into just any regular battle, hell not even a regular hunger games, but a full blown quarter quell.
this, of course, led me to convening a meeting with my two remaining brain cells: dumb and dumber. now the last thing dumb "retained" was a stupid ad from a youtube video: an e-toro ad. normally i would have dismissed that stupid idea (if you can even call it that) but given the shortage of manpower i decided to look at it in a different way. which then led me to thinking of approaching dating as a marketing strategy (which, by the way, whew! big reach. so glad i stretched before that one). in the vein of the ad topic, dumber decided to regurgitate the memory of an old tv commerial from my head.
tinder. meet, chat, date. olx. hanap, usap, deal.
see the difference between the two? yeah no, me neither.
so now i'm on board, even though i was totally not expecting to get a sensible idea from dumb and dumber. the problem is, how the fuck do i market myself as a person desirable enough to make people want to buy into the fantasy?
i tried forcing myself to remember every single econ related lecture and every single experience i had in grade school where i was forced to sell shit for grades until i've finally managed to unleash my inner entrepreneur. she came and she came ready. the bitch even brought with her a checklist so you know she means business (also because she's a capricorn, and they're all anal like that)
1. branding
i would be the first person to tell you my name is very pedestrian... the kind of pedestrian who's unlucky enough to be collateral damage in a freaky car accident. i have a white person's name too (christopher!!! yes as in colombus aka the world-renowned caucasian colonizer) so i'd say i'm not doing so hot in the branding department.
inner entrepreneur's solution? a nickname. one unique enough that it catches someone's attention, but not quirky enough to make them think your parents are hippies. in the end i chose toph, because it's not THAT common, and it gives the hot normies an opening to make avatar: the legend of aang puns so overall a win-win.
2. aesthetics
the mirror is not my friend, and nor is the camera. i'm what you would categorize as "aesthetically challenged"ㅡ in short, i'm ugly. but this aspect i wasn't really too worried about because i wasn't born yesterday. appearances, especially in photos, are easy to enhance. i knew my good angles and with the help of a few filters and good lighting i was all set. it also helps that i have an android phone because let's be real, who wants to look clapped in hd? certainly not me! i believe beauty is in the eye of the cctv footage quality selfie.
android - 1 apple - 0
3. product integrity
don't pretend to be something you're not because that jig gets real old real fast. i'm the type of person who likes to lay out all my cards on the table, and in that spirit, i'm upfront and honest to my matches about being a pathological liar. it's fun making them squirm by letting them second guess everything i say as they desperately try to decipher what i am and i'm not lying about. plus, everytime i feel the conversation slipping into snoozefest territory, i just say something wayyyy out of pocket and it shoots the conversation right back to party city! is it real, or did i make it up, who cares? who says i don't know how to keep a relationship spicy?
4. advertising
no, pleb, this does not mean you should buy tinder gold (unless you're an incel, in which case, be my guest). what this means is that i swiped religiously. i made sure i reached my like limit early so that i get maximum engagement by the time the 12-hour timer resets. the more users i liked, the more chances my profile appears in their cards, and in this house, we love good exposure!
so now you've read this far and you might be wondering, is this method successful? can i apply this to me too? and let me be the first to tell you it isn't. i would NOT have made a whole blog post and posted it on the internet for free for everyone to see if it did. the point here is that if you've read this far and thought "well maybe this can work" then i've successfully managed to waste a good few minutes of your time (or maybe not few, idk how fast you read), which in the age of quarantine, is a commodity you're bound to have too much of.
now, i believe a thank you is in order?

I mean, I'm not Canadian so feel free to tell me to fuck off, but isn't the origin story of Canadian Thanksgiving more of a general "let's eat a meal in celebration of our managing to survive despite our own stupidity" type story than one that exploits First Nations people specifically the way that the US version of the holiday does? Not that you have to celebrate or enjoy it either way, but it's a bit of false equivalence to say it's exactly the same as a day honoring a specific conquistador?
Well, first, it’s a harvest celebration, which you can find pretty much anywhere that has a winter. Wikipedia says there’s a lot of different influences, from a couple of ‘thank god we survived’ feasts from different expeditions, to influence from Europe and the US.
What matters is how this is celebrated. What I get from american media (thank you Adams family values), the story of the native people giving settlers food is pretty much the main point of the celebration, and this has created a healthy discourse in the latter years. Good for you, US.
What crossed anon’s wires, is the fact that, while we up North have our own Thanksgiving feast (that’s just a harvest celebration without the toxic native people saving settlers story, not that Canada doesn’t have a problem with how it treats native people, but our Thanksgiving is not centered around that)- anyway, while we Thanksgive in Canada, in the US, it’s Colombus day, recently changed to First Nations day. Which, again, good for you, US!
Still has nothing to do with us. Not the same country.
I’m still going to reblog Fuck Christopher Columbus posts because fuck that guy.

“Chr*s Colomb*s was a rAciSt!!11”
Yes, thank you white girls from my high school for pointing that out, I think? You know who else is racist? Aubrey Huff. But you know, the former SF Giant didn’t rape and slaughter people. So please, don’t just call him a racist. Call him by what he is. A rapist and a murderer. And do you wanna fucking know what I think when I read that, knowing my family lives on land that isn’t theirs, because our ancestors were re fucking located to Oklahoma and hearing that my grandfather lied about his ethnicity in school because American Indians were bullied so badly and when I have to answer a million fucking questions about why I look the way I do every time I meet someone? Do you want to know? That to you, racist is this big, scary get out of jail free card you get to use to shy away from the scary shit, like RAPE and MURDER. Fuck Christopher Colombus and fuck your fake wokeness.

i think it’s funny how people get mad if you start celebrating christmas early and they’re all like “excuse you thanksgiving is the next holiday” like no excuse you even if i wasn’t already getting holly and jolly i still wouldn’t celebrate anything tied to the legacy of christopher colombus so you can fuck off and not force your colonist propaganda holiday on me thanks

Wait... you guys celebrate... Christopher Colombus ??
Trust me, knowing history as a child definitely helps make Columbus Day less enjoyable (thanks papa Rose)
But yes. It’s a day off in America. To “celebrate” the finding of America. I know.
That’s why my friends and I celebrate Leif Erikson day instead

Sevilla y el Día de la Mujer
Hey Everyone!
What a week it has been! Due to the coronavirus I began cancelling my spring break (to Italy and Greece) and decided not to book any other trips far in advance because many universities are pulling their students home from Europe and I don’t want to have to cancel more trips. Therefore, I did not start planning my trip to Sevilla this weekend until the Tuesday before, which made for a bit of a hectic week. However, my weekend was absolutely amazing!
Thursday night I took an overnight bus with a friend to Sevilla. It left at 1am (Friday morning technically) and got into Sevilla at 7:15 am. The bus was surprisingly comfortable and I actually slept a decent amount. We then went straight to our hostel Oasis, and even though it was too early to check in, they let us leave our luggage in a storage room, check out the rooftop terrace view
Tumblr media
and gave us a suggestion for a cafe to get breakfast in that was very close. Then we walked around the neighborhood until the hostel’s free walking tour at 11:15. The guide for the tour was absolutely fantastic, and I learned a ton. We went to all the main tourist attractions in Sevilla and he explained many places I would not have otherwise known anything about. Of course we did not go inside the ones you have to pay for but he still told us some of the history. At the end it was clear we were expected to tip, which we were happy to do since the tour was so great, but it would have been nice if they had told us that at the hostel, just in case we didn’t have the right bills in cash. We then walked around Plaza de España, since the tour had ended there,
Tumblr media
and our guide had given us some suggestions of where to take the best pictures based on the time of day and sun location.
Tumblr media
Both of us were very excited about this plaza because Dorn in Game of Thrones was filmed here. Since our guide had given us a suggestion for a cheap lunch place, we went there and were very happy with the food and the prices.
Tumblr media
After our lunch we went to the main cathedral. It was absolutely breathtaking and enormous.
Tumblr media
Here’s a picture of me next to one of the pillars for a size comparison, we couldn’t even fit the ceiling in the shot so it’s still hard to tell just how massive this room is.
Tumblr media
We also decided to walk up the tower, (which, according to our walking-tour guide, historically was rung five times a day, and so it was built with a spiralling ramp all the way up so the bell-ringer could ride a donkey up to the top) and the views were fantastic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Apparently Christopher Colombus is buried in this church too, but there are many stories of him being buried elsewhere as well, however they do have a whole exhibit set up about it.
Tumblr media
As our tour guide had recommended, it was much cheaper with a student ID and we also got entrance included to another big church in Sevilla which we went to the next day. After our very full day of walking we headed back to the hostel to check in and take a nap. The room was perfectly adequate and a great price, and had a little balcony as well. After our nap, we woke up and decided to go to the terrace on the roof of the hostel. We ended up making some friends with people we met having a guitar jam session up there, and hung out with them for the evening. The next morning we decided to go to the Alcazar early in the morning to maybe beat the line, and it really only took about half an hour of waiting for us to get inside. We walked around for a few hours inside (taking many pictures)

but what I enjoyed the most about the Alcazar were its surrounding gardens which were absolutely stunning.
Tumblr media
And we also saw tons of ducklings running around in the gardens which was incredibly cute! And a peacock!
Tumblr media
We walked around some more during the afternoon, and also went to the other smaller church, which was still huge and beautiful, and if I hadn’t just seen the main cathedral I would have been shellshocked again.
Tumblr media
In the evening, we had dinner and went to a flamenco show at La Carbonería. We were not allowed to take photos or videos of the performers but it was absolutely fantastic. La Carbonería is not a traditional show where you buy a ticket and watch performers on a stage, but a group of performers in a pub. The entrance is free and it is incredibly amazing to watch. You can choose to buy drinks or tapas if you want, and the prices are very good but they only accept cash. Getting there early was essential so we were able to get good seats. After the show, we went to the bus station to catch the overnight bus back to Madrid. This was essential because we wanted to be back in time to participate in the 8M (March 8th) women’s march in Madrid.
Tumblr media
This event is huge every year, even with the coronavirus concerns there were still around 120,000 people in attendance, blocking one of the main roads in Madrid. I met up with some friends in Retiro park first in order to make some signs together and walk to the event together.
Tumblr media
Much like a football game in Ann Arbor, there are so many people in one area that cell service does not work well so it’s important to arrive with your group and not lose them. When we got to the march I was shocked by how many people were there, I’ve never been a part of something that huge before.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There were groups drumming, and people chanting, and tons of amazing signs everywhere.
Tumblr media
Some of the buildings surrounding the march were lit up purple (the color symbolizing women’s rights in this march) in support of the march.
Tumblr media
It was such an awesome experience to partake in a protest in a different language as well, and I had so much fun learning all the different chants.

Thanks for reading, have a great week!

GOT Series Finale thoughts & musings SPOILERS OBVIOUSLY
I don’t think any of us expected the writing to be good, so let’s get that out of the way since it hasn’t been good for a generous two seasons, an honest three, and a arguable four.
The biggest flaw imo has been how rushed everything is, and you really felt it in this episode, which is ironic because it was very slow and choppy. The pacing this episode was atrocious imo.
Now onto thoughts I had while watching this episode:
-Why was Arya there are the beginning? They showed her leaving last episode, now she’s stuck around, but isn’t going to even try to kill Dany, what’s the point? And then she does leave, but we don’t see it? Very odd decision.
-Minor but when did Dany have time to get that outfit? I appears to be like the next day at latest wth lmao
-I don’t understand the writing for Tyrion at all. Why would be confront her so publicly, why even vocalize how you feel towards it? That’s already been made plenty clear...My only thought is that he was so despondent that he was wrong and had killed Varys believing in Dany that he just figured it was time for him to die, but all in all that’s very odd. And why not just kill him there tbh? She did that with Varys. Seems like plot armour, I’m afraid.
-”the war is over now” WHY IS JON SO STUPID? Jon has always been a bit dim like Ned but holy fuck they wrote him so trash this season, especially this episode.
-I marked and wrote “32 minutes in and it’s moving very slowly” sure there’s cool shots of tyrant Dany giving epic speeches but c’mon
-Dany-Jon kiss and kill scene feels very soap opera omg
-wrote: “THANK FUCK SHE’S DEAD”
-THOUGH, it seemed way to easy. With how suspicious she and Greyworm have been over Jon and his ilk, very odd that it was that simple all in all.
-Honestly, I didn’t expect Drogon to outlive his mama, Thought they’d have to kill him to get to her
-uhhhh where is he taking her LOL
-Jon shoulda just cleaned that shit up and been like Drogon took her for a ride dunno what happened yo
-Honestly, the pacing and transitions this episode are godawful, perhaps the worst they’ve ever been
-I hate this trash council scene. The Edmure stuff is painful. Why bring him back like this? I mean they didn’t even bother acknowledging him and this is them bringing him back wtf Awkward and not funny the whole scene is odd, except for Sam, Tyrion and Sansa’s parts
-Oh hello Robyn Arynn of the Teat
-I mean, I don’t get the people thinking either Dany or Jon was gonna take the throne so....
-Ok, Bran is king but it’s kinda lame how they’ve written him since he’s basically a personality-less bag of trash these days
-Oh and his story isn’t the most interesting Tyrion, even your’s is more interesting, don’t lie, Imp
-So is Bran a villain or nah? I mean he knew all this was gonna go down and didn’t care to try and change any of it? Or what? I’m suspicious of this broken bitch
-57 endings commence!
-This whole bitch one long epilogue that doesn’t tell us shit LOL
Ok things I did like, to one degree or another:
-TYRION AND SANSA SURVIVED THANK YOU BABY JESUS
-Sansa talking bout how Bran’s dick is also broke not just his legs okay good
-Sansa standing up for the North and becoming an independent queen
-Tyrion back at the council, and the council in general, very good
-Jon finally reuniting with Ghost (thought he would) and being married to Torumd his pretty cool. Always liked him with Wilding redheads over dragon bitches anyway.
-Sansa’s coronation outfit stole this whole bitch show, ya’ll better bow down, Littlefinger wanking off in hell over this and you know it
-Davos finally getting some respect, he deserves more and ya’ll know it
-Arya becoming Christopher Colombus and going off to colonize Americos for the North, niiiiiiiice
IN CONCLUSION
this is all I can think of right now.
RIP GOT
