Questions about movies are tough! Because I don’t have a small number of favorites, but like 20-30 mainstays in my life hehe. Just off the top of my head - Dead Poets Society, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and The Social Network. Missing here is classic romcoms bc I cannot live without them. Been thinking about When Harry Met Sally for days so I’m going to watch that today

18. Do you believe in ghosts/aliens?

Yes! I love aliens and engage with a lot of alien media lol Arrival is one of my favorite films/short stories and interaction with extraterrestrial beings (especially through the lens of communicating with them) is one of my favorite sci-fi genres. Lowkey my dad also used to work at Area 51 so he knows things. I def think there are spiritual remnants of the dead in earth and I really just like to ascribe any random movement of things to ghosts living in my house.

Orin. I think she's a nasty Lil Freak, but I love the potential for complexity in her relationship with Durge. It feels like that gets overlooked in a lot of fic (and by the game itself, let's be fair). Genuinely wish we would have had more time with her or seen her developed more.

🌺 what is the best gift someone has ever given you and why is it so important

I have two, and both relate to my mom. For those who don’t know, I lost my mom a year and a half ago after a very (VERY) short battle with cancer. She was my favorite person and my biggest inspiration. I was by her side when she passed and I’m still dealing with the trauma from those six months she was sick.

My mom was an attorney and thus, my biggest inspiration for attending law school. She was brilliant — and well known for being one of the best legal writers in our city, but also known as one of the nicest people you could meet.

My mom obviously was a huge supporter of my decision to go to law school. She was diagnosed halfway through my first year, and died at the start of my second, just two months before my wedding. I graduated this spring, and did it without her.

For my graduation in May, my dad gave me two things — the leather briefcase and legal portfolio that he first gave my mom after she graduated law school in the 90s. He’d had her initials branded on both of them when he gifted them to her, and this time, he had my initials branded right above hers.

I’m not someone who cries easily in front of other people, and I bawled like a baby.

I plan to carry them after I’ve passed the Bar, on the day I’m sworn in as a new attorney.
