"First Gift" a microfic with a really funny (and honestly hard) prompt revealed on the tags for the lovely @sixlane

Regulus had received a total of three gifts from James. 

The first one was for his birthday, they had been dating for less than a month, yet James had wrapped up a beautiful dark green notebook with Regulus’ initials embedded in silver foil. The second gift was a bracelet with a little sun pendant, he gave it to Regulus as “monthiversary” present. And the third one was a framed drawing of the two of them flying around the Quidditch pitch, this one James had insisted it was “just because”.

Regulus had given James a total of zero gifts. 

As Christmas approached, he was determined to find his boyfriend the perfect gift. He did. The first time Regulus visited Potter Manor he couldn’t help but notice some funny looking footwear around the house. They were all different colors and had some sort of pins latched onto the holes that were on top of the shoe. 

He later learned they were ‘all the rage’ amongst Muggles as James had put it. He enlisted Remus’ help and went to the store himself to pick everything out. 

Under the Potter’s christmas tree, in a red and gold box were two pairs of James’ funny shoes: Crocs. Regulus settled on a green pair for himself and a crimson one for James, on top of them there were little pins with stars, the sun, a snake and a lion to decorate them. 

James has worn them every night since.

- beomgyu accidentally catches the two in the middle of it, goes feral levels of mad all hail the fragile masculine ego and do something really stupid that would get him publicly humiliated or kicked out of the band

- oc and jun do it in her room and beomgyu, just a few meters away, is kinda forced to listen to it all through the walls as he cries himself the night away feeling completely miserable. God (you) knows how he will be able to face them from there on.

- oc and yeonjun start dating for real and they seem really happy, so to get oc attention beomgyu tries to make the other girl his girlfriend as well. but the girl gyu is thirsting after is actually a closeted lesbian that used to be into oc and only acts the way she does because oc unknowingly hurt her feelings in the past, so now she is going after gyu and using him to get back for how she made her feel.

Anyways, it would be splendid if beomgyu got hit real hard in the face by the universe to learn to open his damm eyes and see more than his own bellybutton and dick. And oc deserves to get laid by someone that is able to make her feel appreciated, even if just for the moment, and not just like the meat available.

Who's the bigger tease? Lyubov is the bigger tease, mostly due to Godwynn being a stoic brick wall. Long story short - Lyubov craves excitement and danger, and while Godwynn craves an outlet for his beastial desires (sexy or gorey) he's not one to crawl to it himself. She will happily send the Sheriff something lewd if she so desired, especially when she knows he's busy, because she knows when they both lay down to dream he will make her pay for it. <3

Who would get into a fight to defend the other's honor? Who tends to the other's wounds? An excellent question because they're both in a weird middle state of "can't let the other go but also not sure how much I ACTUALLY care about you." They both need the other to fulfill a hole within themselves (both lewd and also serious) but they both have detached personalities. In the dreamscape, Godwynn gets to pick scenarios for them to play in, and he's always in a domineering position - never the captive always the dormitor. So he would - in theory - be the one to defend honor because Lu would simply not be in a position of power. Despite how bad it sounds, they're both enthusiastically for it. But Godwynn also has his own code of honor that does NOT include respecting others, so how much honor-defending he's actually doing is up to the viewer. As for wound tending, I mean he made most of the wounds... so... he may do a little clean up but...

Which would take their jacket off and drape it over the other one because they were visibly shivering? They do NOT like each other enough for these questions I swear. MAYBE Lu initially, but his cold attitude in person would probably kill that pretty fast. Perhaps if they're in a scenario in the dreamscape where he's pretending to be a gentleman to get her alone, or if they're in real-world public and he's saving face/acting the part of a gentleman... but otherwise neither would attempt to do this. xD THANK YOU AHHHHH. I never talk about this bad couple I loved this.

Thank you for the ask @superblysubpar I’m coming in slow AF with my answer. Sorry about that babes. Been a helluva week. This ask made me smile though-

As far as Pencil’s nickname is concerned, I can tell you that it comes from a very innocent and a very sweet place; I simply believe that they first met/ knew of each other/ were in each others orbit/ in one class back in middle school.

Eddie being the scrungly non conformist metal baby that he was back then, probably didn’t care to come equipped for class, and then he gets sat behind this cool girl in scruffy jeans and too big plaid and sneakers, always humming cool songs and sending a withering glare at the empty headed preppy kids en route to high school stardom, when they picked on anyone (him mostly)

He doesn’t know why he does it. Maybe he’s looking for an olive branch, but either way he asks this cool girl in front of him, on the first day of class if he can borrow or steal a Pencil.

And she smiles, and says sure and hands him one. No problem.

Every class she smiles when he lopes in late and slips behind her. Every time he asks for one despite having several in his bag he plays dumb, just because of the rush of talking to her. Better than any sugar rush or sabbath riff.

He wants to approach her outside class, but he constantly sees her with this popular girl glued to her side as she rambles on about boys. He scuffs his converse and lets his courage shrink. Maybe pulls clownish stunts to see her laugh. And it all goes into distant orbit of being aware of each other by the time high school comes around. Aware but distanced.

Then, one fateful night, years and years and many grades later, he’s just done a deal with an asshole jock in the woods at Kyle whatshisnames party, and when he steps back onto the green green lawn, to scurry along home, imagine his shock when he finds that same girl, primped and partied up in a poppy outfit-

Pretty as ever too. So so pretty.

He’s never forgotten Pencil girl. Pencils. the nickname snapped out his mouth then with fervour and a toothy grin. Pencils. Always holding one in class. Doodling away. Drawing the shape and shading on hands or pill bugs or flowers and weird dogs and buildings and streets on the margins of her books or legal pads. The artist through and through.

Wants to study it one day, she said. Draw and draw til her fingers drop off. Draw comics and stage sets and paintings-

He’s never forgotten her small acts of kindness where everyone else had slung venom. Passed him answers on little torn scraps of paper for the pop quiz. Lend him pencils when he needed them. Or an eraser. Or stifled a laugh when he said something funny to frustrate the teacher.

She’s sat there, on this lawn chair, drunk probably, and there’s evidence of tears under her eyes and she’s just small and all alone, and he just, he can’t have that. He can’t leave it like that.

This time Eddie puffs his chest up and grins, eyes dancing bright, this time, the chance seems way too good to let slip through his fingers.

He can’t look away now he’s seen her. This is fate. It’s destiny even. If this shit show called life could ever hand him something kind and good, then here it is baby. Lit up in flashing gold tulip bulb lights like a goddamned broadway theatre.

Don’t miss this one again, kid. Hope don’t come knocking twice.

hiiii ! how i have missed you 😭. i had to tell you about my interaction with my non-kpop friends i had the other day. i was explaining a summary of your masterpiece we call YAMQN. prior to telling them the storyline i had to emphasize that if i had to read Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet as part of the curriculum in American education we must also read YAMQN because the story has moved me in more ways than one and it has personally changed the way i interact with life.

anyways i was telling them the story chapter by chapter and they just looked at me as if i grew another fucking head. i swore i lost them my friend was like sounds like a fun time send the link so i did and my friend texted me earlier being woah the plot thickens and thickens.

i reread the reunion of oc and beomgyu at least once a week to keep me sane. as a mental health counselor in my daily job i stray away from actual therapy and this story my form of therapy. so thank you for being my form of happiness and coping mechanism. i was going to wait for you to finish the sequel to reread both in one sitting but looks like i am just going to have to reread it twice 😬

anyways how have you been ? i hope you are doing well and enjoying life as much as you can 😊!
