I'm mostly just bouncing off the ideas @hereticcryptid shares with me, so the credit for the og discussion of android!jiggy goes to them :'D

That being said, a friend shared her ideas of another android AU some time ago and I loved it so much! I'm still hoping she continues working on that wip some day ^^;

It was ruoyao of course, but included dark LXC and it was so fascinating to me how the roles got pretty much reversed there, with a kind and gentle but possessive LXC that created MY as the perfect partner and went sorta Mothel Gothel on him out of misplaced protectiveness -pretty much the worst side of the Lan gene in canon.

But MY was very curious by nature, yet all the answers he got of the outside world were reduced to "don't worry about it, you have everything you need/want here :)", and eventually escaped, getting in trouble as soon as he stepped outside lol.

Cue uni professor and disgraced inventor/scientist WRH (funny how we all just want to see him fall from grace xD). His research on AI and androids got controversial and eventually seized and "destroyed" by coworker LQR, who saw the danger and immorality in creating something capable of self-awareness. Turns out that it was based on his work that LXC created MY, so when WRH finds a little android wandering around like he was born yesterday (bc he kinda was), he's instantly fascinated with him and takes him in to try to understand how something so advanced could exist.

What I loved about this AU is how ridiculously adorable MY was! He's a mix of his usual cunning mind and eagerness to learn with someone who legit is just experiencing the outside world for the first time, especially since, unlike Rapunzel, he wasn't really fed scary stories of what lurks outside, so he's more trusting. And unlike LXC, WRH is more than happy to teach MY whatever he wants to learn, not only to satisfy his own curiosity about how a machine like that could process knowledge, but also bc he IS a professor and one with hella high standards, so MY is just the perfect student: so well-behave, giving him all his attention and making smart questions and observations. Besides, there's a sense of deja vu the more he learns about how MY works and was created... also he is strained from his sons, so there's that too lol.

At the beginning is all just transactional, MY latching onto someone who is finally willing to indulge his curiosity, and WRH acquiring a little pet project to make up for all the experiments he was never allowed to conduct. But if you know me, you know the relationship doesn't stay there xD.

Sadly, bestie didn't continue the story behond that and tbh I don't remember much of what came later from my conversations with her, other than LXC eventually going out looking for MY with the help of other androids he created that weren't as perfect as MY, like the Nie bros.

I must confess that I haven't thought of android!JGY myself, but it's a great concept that I should probaky dedicate more brain power to :'D

it’s just superepiccool to me, how are dipper and mabel about him being human now? Soos n Wendy, Stan and Ford? What was it like for them (especially Ford) when he just turned human? What was it like for Bill?

oh hey don't worry, I haven't really talked much about the details of the AU like ... ever. I just started reviving it because I got my partner into the show (they are also a new fan! yay, new fans! Funny enough I had no idea TBOB was coming out so the timing was mad exquisite.) and they have just been an amazing help shaping my messy thoughts and coming up with new, fun plots! It's also nice to know there's someone out there interested in it, so thank's for asking! Now that I read TBOB I want to change the premise a bit, but the core is still the same.

Let me tell you this AU is silly. I'm aware Billford is toxic and there are many corners to dive into to picture their messy relationship. But I kinda wanna keep the spirit of the show here and make it equally as fun as it is disturbing. Given that Bill canonically is trapped in endless Therapy gives me even more food to work with, he just out there being toxic and people repeatedly telling him to cut it out.

I'm not gonna go into too much detail because I'm actually working on the first comic chapter for this AU, but regarding the characters: Each of the Pines, as well as Wendy and Soos, are not happy seeing him, but individually grow more accustomed to him and with him. I guess going from "most accepting" to "least accepting", Mabel took it the best. I wouldn't say she was quick to forgive, but quick enough to give the guy a chance. And I honestly have to say that, although this is 100% a Billford AU, there's so many plot ideas for just Mabel and Bill and their amazing, chaotic shenanigans. Put these two together and the stories basically write themselves. Wendy is pretty similar, and the most chill in actually helping Bill figure out human stuff.

Naturally, Ford took it the hardest. I'm aiming for slowburn here, haha. They got to figure out some stuff that I'm so ready to put onto pages... Ford is a lot of emotions. Confused, angered, curious... Meanwhile Stan is Bills biggest hater. (There is a lot of bullying in this AU) He just keeps up with it because his Family makes him. He's very protective and tries to kick Bill out several times. Soos sticks with Stan, but he's also Soos and has a big heart, so in Bills eye, he's very gullible and a target he can mess with easily.

Dipper is not a fan either, he has a hard time adjusting to the triangle just getting to ... be there. He's suspicious for the most part and Bill has to try hard to get on his good side. But honestly he might be more upset with Mabel (and later on Wendy) for making friends with Bill so easily, even though he knows that's just their nature. I just recently started thinking about Gideon and how I'd like to include him, but nothing worth mentioning so far yet.

With Bill himself, one my favorite parts trying to portray so far is how he's dealing with his new mortality. He adjusts to the body fine, he knows how to navigate flesh, but he has a hard time accepting that it's his body. His new prison, essentially. If it's gone, he's gone. If he treat's it like shit, he feels like shit. Then we add the psychological aspect of things. And more importantly, we add Ford to the equation. When I tell you, that demon is experiencing psychological damage here, and it's fully his fault. TBOB really pointed out to me that I need to dive into his obsession with Ford. How do you even get a man you fumbled so bad, to even acknowledge you again?

I love yapping about this AU, thanks again for giving me the grounds to do so anon! I'm an insecure writer so it'll probably take another hot minute to choose which script feels best to draw out, haha. But I'm glad you seem to be up for the ride!!

why do you look so down? as soon as he sees you upset, that's the only thought that occupies his mind for real for real. sugishita ain't even listening if someone is talking to them and if umemiya is talking to him, he TRIES to listen. but at the end, he can only think about the matter that's letting you feel down so badly.

if it's about school (taking this as an example from the request) because of certain subjects, expect to have more study dates. well, instead of going out into the town or something else, you two will just meet at the library so you can study as much as you want while teaching him later because I promise you, he does NOT understand a word you say.

it's a good learning method for you since you'll teach him first when if you checked the subject yourself.

don't worry, he'll try to listen and nod while you're teaching him about that damned subject even though he doesn't understand a single word.

let's be for real, sugishita is moments away from beating up your teachers and directors after hearing those shitty stories you're telling him. yes, he knows he shouldn't use his strength and fist against people who didn't deserve it. but it's still for a good intention. and good reasons (the only thing that's stopping him is you).

what if you just feel down without any specific reason? yeah well, you're making him wonder how to let you feel better. but he doesn't even know what's making you feel upset.

he will just drag you to your favorite spots, preferably spots where you two are alone or spots that are quieter, a refuge from all the noisiness that's happening in town.

by the way, sugishita doesn't need a place or spot as his refuge because he has you.

he'll also start talking about your favorite series or animanga, something you love. he never starts a conversation though, but that doesn't stop him from leading you into one. he's sure you'll eventually feel a little better and will lead the rest of the conversation, yapping about the special things you love, things that happened the last days in school or the new gossip in class.

but if you're still quiet and still feeling down, sugishita will just seal his lips like always, drag you to his or your place so you can just lay on the bed. he urges you to play your favorite playlist, wraps his arms around you and just — sleep.

his most beloved activity which comes AFTER spending time with his special someone.

expect to find little yet lovely gifts in your room, backpack, pencil case — sugishita literally left gifts everywhere. minor things, yet full of meanings so you know that he's thinking about you.

i'm the kallus jovan anon again, never apologize for writing what is basically an entire angsty fic, it was an amazing raed. can i ask you more stuff about these two? like how did it go from kallus pov? tell me more about his youth in the underbelly of corruscant? why doesn't he have a family :( and what does he think about jovans parents and all of their lifestyles?

HI I'M ANSWERING YOUR ASKS OUT OF ORDER BUT WE BALL (also i love you thank you so much for letting me yap)

Okay, so Kallus' upbringing is so interesting to me and I have ALOT of thoughts about it

I have a another post thats kind of about this (but it's specifically about his sister, Anya (that I made up) so you can find that here, BUT i want to get into the nitty gritty of his upbringing anyways so HERE WE GO

Kallus' father passed away in a work related accident shortly before he was born, and his mother, unable to bear the stress of a dead husband, a newborn, and Coruscanti housing prices, prompty fucks off. Kallus' older sister, Anya, who is 16 at the time, takes it upon herself to raise her baby brother.

They had lived in the mid-levels for a number of years (all of which Kallus was too young to remember), thanks to Anya taking up a ton of different jobs, but the Coruscanti housing prices rise like NOBODYS buissness and eventually they end up in the lower levels.

Although they were dirt poor (except there was no dirt because it's Coruscant) they were as happy as they could have been. Kallus was, by nature, an energetic, gritty little kid with undeniable ambition and drive, and Anya-- who at this point is more mom than sister-- worked hard so that she could give him to opprotunities he deserved.

Anya was a strong believer in getting a good education and she managed to get Kallus into the mid-level middle/high school that she had gone to (and graduated early from!) in her teen years.

Coruscanti housing prices are still rising.

Kallus gets his first job when he's 12 (they dont gaf about child labor laws) as a dishwasher at one of the diners his sister works at because the owner had a real soft spot for "the sweet girl and her skinny kid." (Eventually he gets promoted to server but that's really besides the point) ANYWAYS

So basically, teenage Kallus, who is fighting tooth and nail to get THE HEELLLLL out of the lower levels via education, has a daily schedule that looks like:

4:15 AM - Wake up

4:30 - leave the house

4:45-6:45 - take the lift up to school (do homework on the way)

7:15 - 3:00 - School

3:30 - 5:30 - take the lift down (do homework on the way)

6:00 - 11:30 - work

12:15- go to bed

Dont get it twisted though, bro had HOBBIES (which included, but were not limited to, fixing broken droids, bad graphiti, pickpocketing, going clubbing, and just kind of running around with whimsy) (All of which he would do on his singular day off per week)

So basically this man has NEVER known rest in his entire life

It's after Kallus turns 18 and graduates that his sister passes away at 33. The lower levels are polluted, the air so smogged up and toxic that nearly everyone deeper than level 2000 gets sick at some point. Anya had lived the average length of a lower-level citizen, but that didn't console Kallus whatsoever.

Landlords are assholes, and the 2 year lease on his shoebox apartments name was under ANYAs name, not his, so landlord decides that he should kick this greiving 18 year old kid to the curb so that he can bump up rent for the next person.

Kallus, as any person would, spirals. He's couch hopping, he may or may not be partaking in mind-altering substances that may or may not be considered illegal, he is losing his goddamned mind. This is his rock bottom. And he realizes that he'd better get his shit together or else he'll be stuck in the lower levels swimming in alchohol and greif for the rest of his life (which would not be long).

And then news finally gets down to the lower levels (a month after the fact) that the Republic is gone, and that the Empire has taken its place. And the Empire doesn't want a clone army anymore, no, they want people to enlist. And do you know what enlisting means???

Free room and board

So Kallus hops THE FUUUCCKKK on this opprotunity, because who wouldnt????

And when he goes to enlist, he finds out that since he went to a school in the mid-levels he's elligable to test-in to the academy. Which he does, and succeeds at.

So now he's at the academy after the most insane and miserable month of his life, and there are all these rich ASSHOLES, who have just been living up here??? In the sun??? With money??? This whole time???

So he, of course, hates them all

But then Jovan shows up.

The only real kindness Kallus had ever known had been from Anya, his sister (mom?) who devoted her entire life to ensuring that he had a better one. Other than her, everyone Kallus had ever met was after something, weather that be money, a favor, ect. So when Jovan shows up, all smiles and niceness and whatever, Kallus doesn't trust him. Eventually, though, he realizes that Jovan is kind just for the hell of it. He's kind because he can be.

So he accepts Jovans friendship.

And Jovan teaches him how to fit in. How to dress, how to talk, how to act, ect ect. It's all a bit overwelming, of course, but Kallus is glad, because at least people arent looking at him all weird in the hallways anymore.

At the end of the year he finally properly meets Jovans parents after Jovan offers to bring him on their family vacation. And goddamnit, so wonder their son is so sweet, they are too.

Jovans mom takes him shopping for new clothes to wear on vacation, she buys him lunch, and when they come back she shows him all the embarassing baby-photos of Jovan that she had stashed away.

And when they go on vacation (on Naboo, ive decided) Jovans dad tries to teach Kallus how to fish, even though Jovans dad is not good at fishing, and really just wanted to wear a fun hat and sit by the lake for a few hours. (Kallus discovers that catching fish with his bare-hands actually has a higher success rate than when he tried with the pole)

Yeah, theyre rich upper-level-ers with soft hands, and they have no idea how bad things can get down in the lower-levels (and probably never will), but they're just so goddamned sweet. They're not like the kids in his classes at the academy who made fun of his unkempt hair, or his perpetual sunburn, or the way his accent was a bit off, theyre kind.

And Jovan is kind.

It's kind of a no-brainer that Kallus fell for the guy

Probably going to be a bit of a mess sorry

I've been brainstorming a pre and post forsakening story. Where everybody has to deal with the physical and mental consequence of the whole ordeal. I've been specifically thinking about John and Jane Doe.

Like a lot of people I also believe that John those conditions started before being forsaken. Slowly starting to feel the corruption but trying to hide it from his wife to not worry her. But that causes it to spread more because it's untreated. And as he's starting to show outward symptoms they cannot hide they get forsaken.

And I think the specter kind of makes the corruption process quicker so that John Doe is useful. He had to watch himself lose himself. To become nothing more than a tool to be used while the real him is still on the inside screaming.

And Jane knew that something was wrong with her husband. Something was wrong with her love. But she waited for him to come to her about it. Because they tell each other everything they are so close so he will tell eventually. And then they were both forsaken and she regrets that everyday.

She's an NPC in the cabin so I think the specter just wanted to make it really painful as the other survivors talked about her husband like a monster but all she remembers is a good natured man. The man that she has loved for so long. Corrupted and turned into this monster.

Anyway when the specter is no more those two have a really awkward situation. Because I think John can kind of remember her still if he isn't under the influence of the specter. But also there's still pieces of him lost that they might never get back. And John is like can you love me again even if I'm like this? And she just says I have loved you for so long yes I will.

I believe there is a way to at least stop the corruption from getting worse and even reversing some of it but he will never be the same. And they will have to accept that. "In sickness and in health until death do us part."

I just really enjoy stories about characters getting out of the bad situations and then realize that those situations have changed them so much that they don't know what to do when they have normalcy again.

I will probably think about the other characters as well and this small little au idea can change at any time so thank you for letting me yap also this was written at 5:00 a.m. in my time zone so sorry for any grammatical mistakes.

Do you want the short answer or the long answer?

The short answer is that I like Pearl and I also have opinions. When people are hateful about things I like I want to say something back.

To be honest, I wish we could all hold hands and sing Pumping Iron together but that’s not going to happen, is it? So until then I’ll keep sharing my opinions about Pearl and StEx, which I really don’t think is hurting anyone.

The long answer is that I think a lot of Pearl-hate is because of internalised misogyny and slut-shaming. It makes me angry that not even a fictional train is spared from it, nor given the grace that she deserves, that being that StEx isn’t written with a lot of care and neither is Pearl. A good character should drive the story forward, but in StEx the plot happens to Pearl, rather than the other way around.

As I said in one of my posts (and as someone in the replies said), character flaws are lost on certain people and people expect Pearl to be (or think she should’ve been) this perfect person who can do no wrong whatsoever. The only way that Pearl really impacts the course of the plot is by choosing Electra over Rusty. If she had been this perfect person, and apparently had some kind of foresight, she obviously would’ve chosen Rusty. Roll credits!

The Pearl hate that is particularly slut shame-y is hating her that she can’t choose who to go with, and that she “breaks up” Greaseball and Dinah. (And let me just say, not hating, just a fact- that was Greaseball’s fault). Why would you hate Pearl for that? As a young woman myself, I’ve been in a “make up my heart” situation, and truthfully, so have a lot of people I know. Pearl is really not that weird or wrong for how she reacts, but once again, because she struggles with something that may be alien to some people, she’s the worst person they’ve ever seen. I’ve also tunnel-visioned on something I want to the detriment of people around me, again, not that that crazy. Very normal situation. Not a nice one, but a widely experienced one.

I can only imagine that some of you skived English class because to me it seems pretty obvious that Pearl is supposed to be naive and focused on winning the race, to the detriment of herself and Rusty. That’s how she moves the plot forward, and if she was the perfect character, there would be no story.

I like Pearl a lot and I want to protect her. Notice I haven’t actually said anything hateful about the other characters though. It’s not my place and honestly it baffles me how people can be so hateful about anything on the internet. But if you will allow me a moment…

It’s a bit weird to love Greaseball and hate Pearl when Greaseball is objectively a bad person and horrible to Dinah and all Pearl wanted was to win a race OKAY THERE I SAID IT.

Phew we got through that didn’t we! And don’t get me wrong, I like Greaseball too, but I think as a fandom, let’s just sit down and evaluate these characters together, and if you want to keep hating them then feel free! Let’s just not blindly ignore one character’s flaws and then completely crucify another character for their shortcomings.

So, can you go into more detail about darry and paul . Like, as much info abt them as you can throw at me those two are my boys . Like how did they officially get together , how did Paul go abt moving in and whats that situation like .

Also, when Paul is like kicked out and cut off from the family, does he end up just,, losing everything? I mean like, did his parents even let him get his belongings or did all he have was the clothes on his body and trauma. Anon never apologizes for asking I'm so open to answering them bc I love this au and I adore that so many people like it too. Parry fans are eating good bc the writers love Cursed!Parry just as much. I'll answer your questions ab them before I yap. To be totally honest, those two did not ever really make it official. Doing that requires two things they lack; emotional openness and no internalized homophobia. They both told themselves for the longest time that it wasn't a relationship... even after they started saying "I love you" in Latin and Fae respectively (Paul knows Latin bc spells, Darry knows Fae for obvious reasons), or when each other realized managed to figure out WHAT the other was saying,, or when they started sharing a bed and waking up intertwined,,, or when they started using far too affectionate pet names,,, or when things became far too intimate for it to be casual. They never actually make it official, one day they just slip into calling each other their boyfriends. The most official it ever got was when they flat out went "Oh yeah, we're dating" to the gang. He's so used to the way of life that was on the west side that everything going on there is overwhelming sometimes. - They're very bad with vocal I love you's in English but they will say that shit ALL the time in different languages or through their actions. - Uh after Paul got jumped and had his letterman jacket stolen, Darry gave him an old denim jacket of his own bc Paul hated having his arms out in the open. - Pony audibly gags every time they're lovey-dovey. He's not homophobic unless you're Paul and Darry. - They'd shotgun cigarettes when they were younger (and the only reason they don't anymore is the account of Darry wanting to keep the fact that he smokes every rare occurrence on the down low) - Darry's purring has healing properties like a cat's purr (all of the brothers' have it actually) so this mf will just drag Paul down to cuddle and purr. - They are.. so down bad for each other. Darry does anything and Paul swoons, and they've def had an interaction that goes something like this: Paul, knowing Darry cant lie: "How do you feel about me right now?" As for being kicked out, Paul's parents quite literally just. Booted him, barely a warning. One minute he's arguing back for the first time since their keeping up appearances at the police event, and the next he's being dragged by the arm and shoved out of the house with threats of being killed if he dares to show his face back there. Just like that, all of it's pretty much gone; save for the clothes on his back and whatever he'd been carrying-- which was really only his car keys and his wallet. He was sleeping in his car for a bit until Two and Pony vaguely got on his ass because Darry's calls were going to voicemail and he was stupid enough to let it slip that he wasn't living at home anymore. Pony, being Pony, snitched. Can't have shit with that little gremlin around- so after finding his dumbass after having had the equivalent of an aneurism over suddenly being ghosted by Paul, Darry extended the offer for Paul to stay with them. He doesn't mind it being a permanent solution, but Paul is.. less fond for a few reasons; so he tries not to impose much while he looks for work. (He does eventually get something sorted out, so yippie! Helps with the bills what a guy) FORGOT TO ADD. He sneaks home at one point to try and get some of his shit because he knows where the spare key is, but gets cold feet at the door because he genuinely doesn't know if his dad will keep up with that threat.

Medical AU where reader who was previously healthy has gotten an illness that’s been bothering her for about a month until it becomes unbearable and she has to go to the hospital. She was putting it off because she’s got a HUGE needle phobia and general fear of hospitals and procedures etc. Now idk if you wanna make both of them doctors, we did get that panel of nurse Geto but in the satosugu dynamic I feel like it would be Gojo as the nurse. Regardless, our healthcare heathens here don’t wanna discharge their darling little patient so easily. Probably doing unnecessary treatments just to keep her sick and dependent. Ohohoh so much to play with here, the medical play, if she hasn’t been visiting doctors regularly how would she be able to discern what is a red flag in their treatment especially when the doctor with the silver tongue explains it all so rationally you ought to trust him right? They have constant access to any medicine, the perfect tactics of isolating her if they put her in quarantine. Reader stressing because if she takes too much sick leave she’ll be fired from her job not to mention all the medical debt, my, my it’s so over. It would be really cool to have a reader who is absolutely a fighter I’m talking biting, scratching, screaming, thrashing, clawing kicking. She’s not going down without being knocked out and even after she wakes up she’s at it again. Literally doing anything to stop her phobias and fears from happening just to be free. In a lot of works reader is often paralyzed with fear which isn’t bad but I so badly wanna see a fighter (maybe bc when I read I’m like “pshh I wouldn’t let that slide” lolll ) and how she slowly breaks or breaks free your choice. Because of your background in chemistry and I’m assuming biology too because I bet you had to take some courses in order to complete the major, you’re the perfect person to request this to!!!! Ever since I read You Just Can’t Play God I was ascending. Your writing is so expressive and emotional like I’m really going through it here and it’s so addictivly tragic every time. And I could tell that you but your background knowledge into that fic and it deserves MORE LOVE so I’m giving it to you 💖💖💖thinking of this always. i need to say this somewhere and i hope you won’t mind if i send this “rant” here. bc this is just a stupid smut pet peeve that i let annoy me so much.

but anyway every time i go to the lestappen tag i get really disheartened bc there is such a imbalance. there is so much bottom charles and omega charles and charles being loved and worshiped and i honestly wouldn’t mind that at all but the number of fics where max gets the same are pretty much nonexistent compared to charles-centric fics like there are bottom max fics but they get drowned out. pretty much all the popular fics that have thousands of kudos and that ppl recommend to everyone are bottom charles. seriously i saw a rec list once where the few bottom max fics had the fact that they are bottom max mentioned in the same manner as content warnings for some other fics. it was super weird but maybe the person who made that didn’t think it would come across like that.

i know there are lots of bottom max fics (i’ve probably read them all lol) and ppl who like both, like you. i’m happy about the ppl who comment on bottom max fics those fics still get a lot of love even when it seems so little in the grand scheme of things. but i’m just annoyed and a bit confused that it’s so disproportionate. probably bc charles is more popular than max and bottom charles has gotten so popular ppl are inclined to it and it's "safe" and gets more love.

then again there’s so much talk about omega max on tumblr and then none of that shows on ao3 weirdly. (except maybe on the maxiel side i literally became a maxiel shipper bc i wanted more omega max lol) some ppl on here who say they’re bottom/omega max “truthers” have like several top max fics on their account and no bottom max fics which literally not that deep everyone should write what they want and what they are inspired to write but not practicing what you preach confuses me a bit not gonna lie haha. i’ve written my own fics which are pretty much premises i want to desperately read but no one has written them (like fine i'll do it myself) and i've gotten a good response but i’m a slow writer so i haven't written everything i want to write. thank you for everything you’ve written laura!

I started writing maybe about two years ago and at the time a lot of the Lestappen stories were definitely bottom Charles and omega Charles. I started writing because a little bit like yourself there was some stuff I wanted to read that didn't exist so I just wrote it myself. At the time I had no clue how to write but I have hopefully improved over the past couple years! I was just desperate for there to be some more soft Max or Max being looked after and cared for. I just think Max doesn't get enough love and there can never be enough fics where it's pointed out just how hot he is!

I also like the idea of sexy, hot alpha Charles and think it's fun to not always see him in that 'babygirl' role if that makes sense. Although I can see why he ends up in that role a lot, he is also very pretty

I used to read a lot of Maxiel for the same reason as yourself, in fact I do still read Maxiel because of that reason and also because there are some very talented writers writing it. (although I also think of Daniel as being quite omega like!)

I definitely agree that there is a lot more bottom and omega Max within the lestappen tag now compared to a couple of year ago.

For me, I like to swap it around. I like to write soft alpha Max and even bottom alpha Max. The main thing for me is that the dynamic works for the story I want to tell. I have started leaning more towards omega Max though because I know that there is plenty of omega Charles out there and there are plenty of people who can write omega Charles much better than I can!!

You are absolutely correct about the comments and kudos thing. Firstly I should say that there are some amazing writers writing some amazing bottom and omega Charles fics that deserve all the love in the world and I am not for one second suggesting that they only have so many responses because of the dynamic but (at least to start with) I found that my omega Charles fics got more kudos than the omega Max ones. That might have just been a coincidence but when I start writing a story I know it will get more attention if I write it with the omega Charles dynamic. I'm not for one second suggesting that that is what people are thinking about btw, it's just a fact I have noticed with my own work. These days I just write what I like and hope some other people like it. If I ranked my fics by kudos they definitely wouldn't be in quality order so I don't worry about that now 😂

Like you have said, everyone should write what they like as it's all for fun. I am just glad there are other people out there reading and writing bottom/omega Max or even just Max getting the love and attention he deserves.

I will read top Max and I enjoy top Max. The only Max fics I don't like are where the writer clearly doesn't like Max and is making him unnecessarily aggressive or just making him the butt of the joke in a mean way. I prefer to read Lestappen when I can tell that the writer likes both of them if that makes sense (obviously people have a favourite but that's different. )

The content warning for the bottom Max fics made me giggle. I don't know what context that was in as I didn't see the post but it definitely made me laugh. Maybe it needs a content warning because its likely to alter your brain chemistry and you'll not be able to see him topping again 😂

I will always write some bottom Charles and some omega Charles because it just works in certain contexts for me but I have felt myself leaning more towards the other dynamic. Hopefully most people don't mind because there are so many Lestappen writers these days so there is definitely plenty of omega Charles to chose from.

I am shocked there is not more Omega Max x Omega Charles though as that seems to fit quite well.

Sorry, I totally rambled there but I am a huge lover of omega and bottom Max and always will be. I am also a huge lover of Max being treated nicely and softly and getting all the attention and affection in the world.

let's play for a minute on the shallow end of longing. that kind of bitter, faint feeling that swallows you up at the ankles, makes him walk a little slower than he meant to. it's fine, he thinks — he's fine. he knows himself, he knows his limits. sure, these things are heavy, but he's only dipped in the pool. stepping out, stepping up; both are simple. the ledge is right there. his mistakes are simple, and so is the solution. walk back, walk up.

he stumbles, then. blinks. looks down at his legs, and the water has crept up further, hasn't it? walking isn't so easy anymore. he can reach and touch the top of the pool, feel it swish around his fingertips. it's reminiscent of a lot of things; the crisp edge to the air that morning, when he left the window open a crack to even out the stuffy room's temperature. breathless, as if he dunked his head below, he sees it again. you're settled to his chest, then, and it makes his skin prickle to think about it; the memory of you, a shadow with fingers intertwined with his own. tug, tug...

Um hello? I would love to expand on stoner geto ok! Its okay to ask me questions/submissions. Requesting full blown fics when my requests are closed is when i have to draw the line though + I’m up at 3:40 a.m looking for something to focus my mind on other than the two smuts i’m writing rn 😌 so this is perfect, thank you sweet pookie anon.

• So to start off, Suguru strikes me as the quiet type when he’s high. He’ll yap with you if you talk to him but he’s mostly just silently touching the clouds while everything else is buzzing in the background.

• I feel like he doesnt stick to one medium to smoke. I feel like he has a couple of bowls, bongs, and maybe even a vaporizer. I feel like he tried using it once and didn’t really like it— preferring the usual spark and pull that these other options provide. He likes to take things slow when he’s smoking, letting each pull soak in before he takes another.

• Now maybe its cause i’m from NY and love grabba, but i genuinely feel like Suguru occasionally sprinkles in some grabba with his weed or uses the leaf itself as a wrap. He can definitely do without most of the time but if he has it on hand and just so happened to get some cheap bud he’ll definitely sprinkle some in there for the taste and to stretch the product a little more.

• He doesn’t like carts. Hates how they taste, how they pull—how they make him cough up a lung. Just no. He probably hasn’t touched a cart since he was a senior in highschool.

• I feel like he gets in the shower high as fuck and just lets the water run over him with his eyes closed. His mind is just buzzing with dull senses and the water just feel so nice when he’s high. Probably has some vibey music playing in the background.

•if you’re around he definitely gets touchy. He proclaims that sex feels so much more intense when he’s smoked out.

• matches with you and Gojo often. Shoko doesn’t strike me as much of a WEED smoker, but she always takes a couple pulls whenever you guys get together on fridays.

• he likes having his hair down when he’s high. The tension in his scalp from having his hair up makes his head feel achy and heavy. He just wants to lay back in some soft pillows or, even better— your nice warm thighs and just close his glossy eyes.

•gets the munchies BAD. Like if you leave this man alone he’ll make multiple trips to the fridge, mindlessly tearing up whatever’s edible.

• doesn’t vape, only the natural stuff for him.

• He goes on frequent tolerance breaks to keep his tolerance low

• rolls up when he comes home, rolls up if he’s out with you and your friends, and he rolls up before he goes to sleep

• he doesnt really like cones. He’ll use them, but he hates how they sometimes start canoeing.

• has a variety pack of rolling papers in his room

• tried edibles once, he hates the flavor but the high literally changed his life. He’s never been that fried in his life, probably would try them again but sparingly (he ate the whole bag of 5000mg gummies thinking they weren’t working)

• i don’t really see him enjoy the feel of being cross faded.

• likes watching movies when he’s high even though he starts to slump into the bed

• definitely a firm believer in smaller blunts. If the product is good, theres no need to roll gorilla fingers. He thinks its a waste of weed

I'd love to hear your thoughts on how strabo and his wife navigated the Snows moving into their lives and disliking Coryo post the events of the book!

hiii anon, tysm for the ask!! and thank you specifically for asking abt this because I have so much to say!

I particularly think things took a bit to go downhill; I don't think the plinths were affectionate towards coriolanus pre-epilogue (like I said before, I don't think ma plinth was anything besides polite, and coriolanus exaggerated things... and strabo was interrogating him in his office the first opportunity he got), but then their son dies, and that's their only son. most of the actions we know about the plinths revolve around their son.

coriolanus was a boy without parents, the plinths were parents without their kid. in strabo's words, "my wife needs something to live for. and so do I, for that matter." it would be perfect, wouldn't it?

well.

there's something I find a bit curious about coriolanus, and it's his ego. he thinks very high of himself, and this also goes to the way he thinks others perceive him. he thinks he's a great liar, and great at fooling others by being fake, when we can see that other characters can clock him. I think something very similar would go through with the plinths, once their first stage of grief passes, specially because the plinths are older and much more experienced people, and we can see how much coriolanus underestimates them

I honestly think that ma plinth would be the one to clock him the quickest, and the one to dislike him the most as well. if we assume that he would spend more time with her than with strabo (considering that by the end of the book, coriolanus was already calling her ma), they would definitely talk more, and I think he wouldn't be able to hide his true self for much longer and it would show up little by little. one scenario I see happening a lot would be the situation of them talking about sejanus, and coriolanus saying something about him that made no sense, and ofc ma plinth would catch this detail and feel so off about it because coriolanus is always talking about how him and sejanus were friends. she would slowly not want him around their house anymore (tho I do think she would have a soft spot for tigris, and tigris has the same feeling regarding her).

now, strabo has a personality alike coriolanus, but I do think he grew much softer after sejanus' death, and it too made him take a bit longer to realize how coriolanus behaves (maybe everytime he tried to think about how coriolanus behaved in a way that felt off, he would feel guilty; I think guilt follows him much more than it follows ma plinth, and this made him more tolerant to coriolanus' behavior and little signs he would let out). but I also think it's important that strabo knew coriolanus' father, he knew that man's ideas and thoughts, and I do think that this knowledge and the similarities between coriolanus and his father would make him have to put the guilt aside and notice that there's something off going on.

and again, despite strabo growing softer, he's still the same ruthless man that's too alike coriolanus in personality traits, and it's hard to me to think this wouldn't clash at some point (and I don't think this would end well for strabo).

I also think it would be interesting to see coriolanus going through the same proccess he goes through with other district characters he interacts with and forms a bond with: coriolanus creating an image and illusion of them in their head, and in the moment when they don't follow the exact box he put them to, his feelings immediately turn sour. this happened with lucy gray and the perfect lover image, sejanus and the perfect friend that would never question him. now, I think it would happen the same with the plinths: from the perfect parents and caretakers, to then a threat.

Kinda curious tho; how would Mason and Jean react if, sometime after Jean and MC become "official", the happy couple realize they're expecting? How would they further react after it's revealed Jean and MC are expecting twins (a boy and a girl)? I feel like Mason would make an AWESOME big brother!

Not a spoiler because OBVIOUSLY Jean and reader will be official *at some point,* but I think Jean would be absolutely thrilled to find out that reader is expecting! He's always wanted a big family, so when he and Mikasa got divorced, he thought it'd just be Mason and he'd have to be content with one kid - so the reality that he gets to expand his family with you would def be enough to make this full grown man cry. After so much heart ache (for both reader and Jean), it'd be a welcome change. He never anticipated having a blended family, but he takes it in stride and is excited for a future with you, Mason and your children together. As for Mason, hmmm, I think it'd depend on how old he was, you know?? If he's still pretty young, like under 10, I think he might be a little confused (blended families being complicated and all), but excited to have a younger sibling, especially since so many of his classmates have siblings. He might even ask Jean where the baby is coming from, which is enough to make his poor father spiral into a full blown panic. If Mason was older, my guess is that he might struggle with it a little more - maybe he'll fear that the new baby will take up all of Jean's time, that he'll be pushed to the side and forgotten, that Jean's just starting a new family without him, etc. But! I think once the baby (or babies) are here, I think he'd come around to it and be excited to be an older brother and show the little ones how cool the world is. Jean and reader would definitely need to give Mason some extra love and assurance in this case!

As for twins, I think at first Jean would be soooo excited, especially since again, he wants a big family. But then once the news settles in and he learns about how twins can cause birthing complications, he's freaking out a little bit, doing research on what can go wrong and how to make a pregnancy with twins easier on you - the man would literally be on his hands and knees doing anything and everything for you. Armin and Annie, who in my fic are actually expecting twins, would have to talk to him to calm him down, tell them about their experience, how everything will be okay, that he can't control everything, but here are some things that worked for them. Jean is lucky to have such good friends! Oh and of course he'd be thrilled to have a boy and a girl, especially a girl because I head canon that Jean is a hardcore girl dad at heart - even though he's a boy dad in this fic lol. Really appreciate the essay, thank you so much for giving me your time.

I may have time admit that since I am Italian I initially felt like a “need”(?) to cheer for Charles, and at the start it almost also worked fine. I was like, yuppie Ferrari yeah, and then I just let myself be a little mire unbiased and realised that I just- his racing didn’t really do anything to me.

I looked at Carlos, I felt like the literal rainbow could shine out of his car when he was driving because oh God! The simplest explanation as to why I love Carlos is that he is such an intelligent and strategical driver that for a silly girl like me who has some difficulties with getting a hang on the technical part of F1 he is the best driver to understand what it actually means to race.

I can’t tell you if that front wing design is good or bad for the life of me, but I can tell you with certainty that Carlos flipping through a pantone magazine to decide how much pressure he should put on his brakes and tyres in Silverstone 2024 is one of the hottest things I have ever seen.

Charles doesn’t give me that, I can objectively see that he is a tremendously talented driver but I think he relies too much on that without realising that F1 isn’t just Ferrari’s pitwall making decisions for him. When he said “I’m going to start thinking for myself” my first thought was that, don’t worry Charles, Ferrari is already thinking about you and just you, the real problem is that you should think “by yourself” which is different.

This year Lando started giving me the same feeling as Carlos, which is the reason why I started liking him so much. And to be fair, I feel much more comfortable in blogs dedicated to Carlos/Lando than blogs dedicated to Charles.

The latter always look like there must be a divine intervention of some sorts, while I prefer the critical thinking, I prefer taking about the strategies and reading the data and thinking about what could’ve been done in millions hypothetical scenarios.

I literally saw someone say that Charles got angry at Carlos after the race because he wanted a possibility to stay closer on the track to Max(?).

Like, what the hell?

Even if I am writing in anon I want to specify that J am not completely against Charles, I am against the santification of Charles and lestappen, I am against the hate other drivers get because of Charles, I am against Charles when his actions and words become disrespectful to other drivers or even his own team mechanics, something that Lando never did and yet he is being accused of.

You could say anything about Lando, that perhaps some of his answers were immature or that he should’ve thought twice before speaking, alright. But he always held Max with high respect (he said it a billion times, and Max is still so proud of him and talks good about him so I don’t see why we shouldn’t believe it) and he always thanked his team and brought the fault to himself even when it wasn’t his own (e.g. Hungary).

Charles… well, this last weekend speaks for itself.

i didn't have anything like that, the last time a driver from my country raced was before i was even born, so like yeah. here it's a huge toss up of fans, like of course mainly ferrari, merc, mclaren and red bull.

the men mostly red bull. the young people mclaren. the old white duded ferrari. and merc some other older but not young people. but yeah, most people i've met (the three f1 fans at my school, my cousins and such) are mclaren fans strangely enough.

i'm not saying charles is a bad driver, but like there are better people for sure (ahem carlos). but like when i got into the sport i also like tried to make myself like charles (and lestappen), but like as time went on i just couldn't.

yes!! carlos appreciation!! i stand by the opinion that no matter who ferrari dropped, they would have been in the shit. but carlos, he's just got something special that few others have.

carlos is definitely an amazing driver and just like overall: smart, if that makes sense.

i have really seen only one lando/carlos blog that's isn't really amazing. but other than that, i'd say lando/carlos blogs are the more welcoming ones. i've talked about this with a friend multiple times, but we only pick fights when you say something about our driver, i'd say we mostly keep to ourselves (till i'm pissed and start instigating)

i get that, but i am completely against sharl. i said this in a post once i think. but i liked sharl when i first got into the sport, then in spain (i think) he threw me off a bit. tried to ignore it. and i'll be honest here, i was happy when he won monza cause i was so pissed at oscar and i was like well if lando can't win it i don't fucking want oscar to, so yeah, i'll take a sharl win above that.
