22, 24, 40. I think I know the answer to number 1 but I'll ask that too because I know how much you like to write about them 😆

1. who is/are your comfort character(s)? oh golly my friend you spoil me!!!!! hehehe. well of course my comfort characters are adam and belle. and honestly i would include belle’s father maurice as well because i go through those periods of time where i am just fully only thinking about him. it’s like adam and belle go on some fancy little trip or something and my brain just stays home and latches onto maurice while they’re away LMAO. maurice is just so sweet and carries so much trauma and guilt in him and i love exploring it. how wonderful his time was with maria and then how quickly it was all snatched away from him… him raising his daughter all on his own and just DEALING with life. AGH. i love that guy.

but anyway, adam is definitely number one. i connect to him in so many ways (even beyond my own understanding) and i just. love him so much. like he’s just in my HEAD. 90% of my fics are just accidentally from his perspective. like i try to keep it neutral between the two of them but it always ends up being more in his head than belle’s. adam’s my homeboy he’s my lad he’s my sweet cheese!!! i’m endlessly defensive of him to the rest of the world and constantly proud of him in his own. his growth and learning to trust the goodness in his life, after all the shittiness he’s experienced, it’s just So Good.

i also love belle so so so much!!! SO MUCH!!! i just posted a character study about her becoming a queen and wife and mother when she never remotely imagined she’d get to be those things and just like. exploring her thoughts on it. and it was really fun!! i DO have big thoughts about her!! i also connect to her A LOT, she’s such a wonderful character and i hope to continue exploring her. she’s brilliant and kind but she’s also got this thorny sadness to her that makes it even more compelling. she’s not as perfect as adam thinks she is. that’s why they need each other so much! they’re both hurt from their pasts, from being isolated and feeling like no one in the world understood them, and now they have each other and it’s just!!!! AHHH.

22. what type of person are you? oh man i definitely don’t have the self-awareness to answer that. i’m… hopefully good? i think i’m very loyal… maybe funny sometimes? i don’t like socializing at all (it’s the autism) so i am probably something of a loner. though i also feel quite lonely at times. feel like no one understands me but that’s no one’s fault, i just don’t understand myself. hm. anyway i’ll move on before this turns into a therapy session.

24. if we were together on a rooftop, what would we be doing? i think we’d be eating some sort of fast food and maybe a movie would be playing on a laptop. we’d have blankets on and our laughter from the movie would echo out to the rest of the cityscape.

40. did you have any snacks today? well not yet i just woke up!! last night though i ate some cheese puffs which are among my absolute favorite snacks <3

anon you literally took me out with this because he is SUCH a perfect character for that role uGH!!! not only is sunday disgustingly wealthy, but he also desperately desires complete and total dominance and control—which is what makes him ripe for a bratty lil baby (especially if he gets to withhold certain privileges as a result of being Daddy). 

sunday’s word is ultimate, decorous and divine, and what he says goes, irregardless of how many fits you throw or feet you stomp or fists you ball up in anger, defiance, or fury. he tells you he doesn’t enjoy inflicting punishment on you—and while his voice is cold, stern, and full of veracity, that sharp glimmer in his eye suggests otherwise—but that he must dole out such discipline, as it is his duty as your Daddy; to guide, to teach, to mold, to correct.

his retributions vary depending on the severity of the act you’ve committed, ranging from merely revoking privileges (technology, later bed time, sweets, his credit card) to full on physical punishments (spanking your bare ass while wearing his gloves seeming to be the one he favours most often, but he is not above using canes and the like on you if he believes it to be ‘necessary’ to sear whatever lesson he’s trying to teach into that pretty little brain of yours), and you can bet your ass he’s got a meticulously worked out system in place that decides what the punishment will be, proportional to the transgression. 

he acts as if it’s exasperating, as if your disobedience is exhausting, yet he can’t seem to smother those tiny twitches tugging at the corners of his lips any time you push back, any time you challenge him, that glint in his eye flaring to something bright and blazing, despite his features being etched in stone. because although he’d never admit it, he does love enforcing (his specific brand of) justice; he does love exerting that power over you as he shepherds you back onto the path of the righteous, just as a blessed man should; he does love the utter and complete iron-fisted dominance it affords him.

but sunday doesn’t love being your Daddy just because of the absolute control it instils in him; he also loves being your Daddy when you’re good, well-behaved and obedient. oh, then he’s sweeter than sugar and just as corrosive; he spoils you fucking rotten. it’s one of his favourite things to do, showering you with expensive gifts and extravagant outings—lace-trimmed silk and red bottom shoes and multi-day spa getaways and lavish restaurants…all until that indulgence erodes your obedience, turns you into something naughty and saucy again, something greedy and entitled, something he has to fix.

and then, he repeats the whole process over.

Aight I come bearing my sleep-deprived Adadan thoughts!

Thinking of their first actually meaningful encounters that probably happen during RE4... Ada is very likely to be at least somewhat aware of who Jordan is - or at least that she definitely has some past history with Wesker - and I bet she's going to subtly poke and prod Wesker about it (going off solely on their RE4R dynamic here btw!). Ada being the most cat-codded character in existence and silently bearing witness to quite a few personal moments between them all... That specific art of her breaking down in Leon's arms got my brain buzzing ngl.

They don't interact directly much. But Ada watches and silently makes her judgements from afar. Now, what if. These two get a single fleeting moment one-on-one. Ada being Ada is as discreet and subtle about her intentions as always, but she throws in a little passive aggressive comment on how Jordan frankly deserves better and she should know it. Cue Jordan probably being very wary and taken aback, because where did that come from? And how does she know? Does she even know? Or is this about something else? Ada does not give any direct answers, just shooting her a coy smile and bidding her goodbye with a sudden flirty quip towards Jordan, maybe even a very brief, fleeting touch before whisking away, leaving poor Jordan as confused and flustered as she's ever been.

Thus sowing the beginning of a very unexpected but pleasant romance between the two

Bonus points if seeing how messed up Jordan is because of Wesker partly plays into Ada's decision to go against him. That's extra yummy

Honestly might or might not come up with more ideas but that's what I have so far!

This is actually perfect I have little to nothing else to add onto your little snippet, Jesus Christ amazing writing as usual. Jordan would definitely be really suspicious at first, she’s not like Leon, she knows Ada isn’t a woman to be trusted. I think after that interaction she shakes Leon down for answers, who exactly is that woman? do you know her? what is her deal? she’s kinda pretty.. I imagine Jordan running around having trouble with some of the puzzles and Ada working behind the scenes to help her progress. Ada having random radio transmittions with Jordan every so often to flirt and give her a tip on Ashley’s whereabouts, maybe even subtly warn her of Wesker’s plans and presence. I don’t know! but eeeee these ideas are so yummy

Also AGAIN thank you for blessing me with this because I’ve actually been meaning to make a comic between these two and their interaction in Re4 and this gave me a good basis for that idea EEEE

HI ANON OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ASKING

So right now I am DEEP in the Granada trenches, and I couldn’t be happier about it. Jeremy Brett is absolutely DELIGHTFUL as Holmes, and I’m really vibing with the show’s aggressive commitment to book accuracy.

I’m also a fan of Sherlock & Co, although I am NOT a fan of the shit they pulled in A Case of Identity Part 2 (tldr; really poor and harmful representation of DID).

One thing that’s consistent in both adaptations is the relationship, and specifically the FRIENDSHIP between Sherlock and John. Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy Johnlock as much as the next guy, but, being a BBC Sherlock survivor, I also just really enjoy a Sherlock and John who are friends (as opposed to when Sherlock and John are said to be “friends” but really just bicker and snipe at each other the whole time). I especially appreciate when Sherlock is shown to respect John, and when John actually, actively contributes to the case at hand. John is the point of view character, after all, and adaptations have a bad habit of forgetting that and opting to just. Throw him in the trash instead :(

So when adaptations have Sherlock respect and value John, the adaptations themselves are respecting and valuing John as a part of the Sherlockian canon. Any adaptation that does that is one I’ll struggle to not enjoy!!!
