i think that a majority of the locals don't really suspect that the reader is messing around with the priest (they idolize him + see him as a nonsexual figure), but they do look down on her b/c of her visible promiscuity (i.e. the hickies and etc.)

they might notice her wearing shorter skirts to services, and crossing her legs/squeezing her thighs together incessantly throughout his sermons. someone might even catch a glimpse of soft bruises and red handprints on her ass after she bends over to pick something up in front of them the day after mass. and they're like omg? what is this young lady getting herself into? and who in this town could stand to do such vile, obscene things to her body? (as if it's not their precious priest)

i dont think they see each other outside of services/the church b/c they dont want to risk drawing attention to their "special, secret relationship". but! he does give her his phone number and she calls him sometimes when she thinks too much about him and gets wet :( he has talked the reader through touching herself on multiple occasions. tons of verbally guided masturbation over the phone as she lays on her bed, her hand between her legs, with an opened bible next to her. yeah.

he had gifted her that bible after the second time they had sex. not necessarily to indoctrinate her into the religion, but to give her a representation of something that was important to him. it was his subtle way of trying to connect with her. but it kinda backfired b/c now she gets hot and flushed when she reads the words "God" and "peace" and "faith". he basically pavlov's dog'd her. classically conditioned.

because she lost her virginity to him, she's definitely very attached. she tells him that she isn't, but its a total lie and he knows it too. she gets jealous when women, young or old (doesn't matter), come up to him after services all smiley and ready to talk to him about their problems. reader usually gets red in the face and pouts in the back pew as she watches their interactions closely. she worries a lot that she isn't the only person in the town that the priest is intimate with, but she is. he's fairly attached to her too. and because she's a pretty young woman, divorced dads and older teen boys will often try to flirt with her before the priest's regularly scheduled homily, and he has to gather all the restraint in his body not to insert himself between you and them.

alastor sticks with the classics, especially due to his stubborn 1930s roots. he uses a lot of the pet names we hear him use in the show in addition to those in line with his time: sweetheart, dear, darling, sugar, precious, beloved. sometimes, when he’s feeling extra possessive, he’ll throw a my in front of it. i also, for some reason, see him using lamb chop as a term of endearment: you are sweet, docile, delicate like a lamb—so meek and soft and submissive; yet you are simultaneously the most delicious thing he’s ever tasted, the most intense craving he’s ever felt, the most ardent addiction he just can’t kick.

husk isn’t one to use pet names incredibly often, but he does have a few he favours, and he always gets so damn soft whenever he murmurs them out, eyes gone melty and lidded, endearment dripping from his lips like syrup—sunshine, honey, beautiful, lover.

So seeing as how you've fallen into the Norton/Alice rabbit hole...thoughts on the theory Norton was hired to kill Alice?

Okay, so there are two possibilities of who might've hired Norton to eliminate Alice, assuming the "arrogant woman" he talks about in the second letter isn't Melly. Note: I'm basing some of these thoughts off of sirenjose's posts (their IDV analysis are really good!)

One, it could be Orpheus. As we saw in AoM2, Norton was working for or together with him, so it would check out that Orpheus is the one directing him. He could've thus be the one who ordered him to eliminate Alice. However, this does contradict what is implied to be Orpheus' motives for Alice. In his and Alice's letters, he was trying to set her free from where she was being kept and make her remember him. He wants his childhood best friend back, maybe to redeem himself from what transpired when the manor was under attack. Also, I'm pretty sure he knows who Alice is in AoM now, with the Lamb note appearing on her desk at the end, so it's not like he thinks she is her colleague. So why would he then order someone to kill her? I could dig deeper into Orpheus potentially having his perception skewed, having to obey someone higher than him in the manor games or setting Norton up to be the villain so he can become the hero in the story, but I'll refrain from straying too far.

Two, it could be someone else entirely, and the main suspect would be Villhelm Lamb; AKA Alice's adoptive father. From Evelyn's background trailer, we learn that Villhelm is ruling over an organisation of spies working for him. Once Alice escapes from him, someone were sent out to observe her or eliminate her; perhaps to prevent her from spilling out whatever dark secrets he possesses. These people could be this spy group. From Alice's deduction, it seems that she knows she is being watched, and so they never get a chance to eliminate her.

And then we have Norton. Norton would not turn down a large sum of money if offered to him. And after the incident in the mines, one could say his moral compass became a little misguided. Agreeing to kill someone for a life changing amount of money does not seem unlikely of him at this point in life, whether said pay would come from Orpheus or Villhelm.

The ONLY THING I just cannot wrap my head around is where the heck did they find this guy?? Technically, Norton is just a random person from the working class, so how did they even find him? I doubt they put up an "Assassin needed! Commission pay!" flyer on the wall. I mean, they could've just made an ad with the sum of money and no job specifications, but I struggle to see how that would even work when the task is so grizzly. Another thing I can't comprehend is how this employer would think someone like Norton would be more skilled and capable of assassination of someone as sharp as Alice than, say a group of spies. But maybe Norton really is just that; a guy they randomly picked for the job for whatever reason.

I've probably left something out, but those are my initial thoughts. Would be interesting if Alice somehow allies with Norton and Melly to put an end to the manor games. But I'm also preparing for the most tragic ending to this story fdshjfghsd

ooo that’s a good question… i guess jade for human trafficking or exchanging 1 Pair of Chains for another. i’m still kinda confused and iffy and don’t know how i feel about her bc i heard some people say it’s not true, it’s an exaggeration, etc & i haven’t gotten far enough in the game to know. or know enough about aventurine or jade’s lore. regardless the mention of human trafficking is a lot already so she’s already on my bad side

outside of jade is… dr ratio? which. sounds weird bc i actually do LIKE his character but… i won’t lie: some of his comments? his actions? rub me the wrong way

the way he calls people idiot… i know he only does that if ppl are squandering their potential and opportunities but. It’s really hard to achieve that potential when so much hard work is put into that. and there’s a lot of external circumstances that can prevent people from achieving that. so being called idiot for that… just rubs me the wrong way

for example: i have a sibling that struggles a lot academically. and he’s struggled for years. he’s improved a lot since he started but due to always playing catchup he’s gotten tired of trying. as a result, he kinda gave up at one point. my family and his teachers had to give lots of encouragement to set him up on the right track again. being called idiot (when my brother sees himself as one) would NOT help that.

another person that doesn’t try to reach her full potential because of outside circumstances: my mom. she’s always been real smart to me, and capable of pursuing higher education (all the way to masters). however, she puts more value to her family over her own education. and i don’t think she’s dumb for “squandering her potential” but. people just have different values. not everyone cares reaching their max. they just want to live and that’s okay.

finally, on the other side of the spectrum: me. i’m someone who’s been trying to reach his potential for YEARS. i worked so hard that it jeopardized with my mental health. consequently, i had to stop and focus more on myself than my education which. even now im still not used to. and while reaching my potential is important i think if i were called an idiot for no longer prioritizing that. it would hurt me </3

tldr: while i understand why dr ratio does what he does (he’s a scholar who’s goal is to cure the world of stupidity: make education universal) there’s people that aren’t in a position to prioritize that or care about education all that much. and yknow what? that’s okay. so long as you know enough to survive then it’s okay to not reach your max.

that doesn’t mean i dislike him. if anything, he’s all the more intriguing because of this flaw: but i won’t deny that it rubs me the wrong way. (it’s why im having my oc be his narrative foil and address this flaw: how not everyone values education the way he does, why, and how to decrease these factors. also how to ppl bc u cannot make ur goal be “spread education to the masses” and not know it w to communicate with them bc canonically: he struggles and he struggles HARD!!!

To be honest, I feel like Myron's always had some behavioral issues from being naturally intelligent at such a young age; intensely driven, a sense of superiority to others.

It's just his already self-inflated ego was blown to EPIC proportions when he got involved with the Mordino family. The point of no return...

As for his parents, I imagine they were likely doctors or scientists themselves, atleast one of them being so. Likely ranking high in authority, too; it'd play into the whole idea that he's always lived a comfortable life, so to speak. Something to explore!

What's your take on the 3 Gwenhwfars of The Hergest Triads?

Hi anon! Now, do you mean as to whether they're like three aspects of the same woman or whether they're separate? Or just... that they are all women who are married to Arthur?

I mean, I do find it funny he married three women who bore the same name. Like that's so fuckin hilarious to me. Did he have it legally mandated that his wives all had to have the same name so he didn't forget it? I won't lie I do find it fascinating that two of the Gwenhwyfar's have some kind of supernatural element to them! Gwenhwyfar the second was Gwythyr app Greidawl who - if you've read Culhwch ac Olwen - gets mentioned as Gwyn ap Nudd's May Day nemesis who batters him to death each year so spring can be sprung. Also, the fact that, y'know, Gwyn stole Creiddylad from him probably put his nose out of joint.

And then u have Gwenhwyfar three whose dad was Ogrfan Fawr, a literal giant. Like sjdjdjd Neato. Although she did start Camlann along with her sister, Gwenhwyfach, so like can't give her all the plaudits there.

As for whether they're like a reflection of some long-lost triple goddess, I don't think so. If they were - and it's a very tenuous if - then why haven't we found records for that? Or some reflection of that from the myths? We know Rhiannon from Branch 1 of the Mabinogi was a goddess, or at the very least an echo of one, so why don't we have that for Gwenhwyfar?

Personally, I can't see it. We only know of Ogrfan's Gwenhwyfar that she was 'bad when little, worse when great.' As for the other two, I don't have anything to go on! The lack of sources is frustrating but I mean at the end of the day I can't be like 'Oh, you shouldn't believe this!' I would just caution that I can't give u a full picture simply because there isn't one!

I think it's fascinating that the triads were like 'Yeah, Arthur had three wives and they're all named the same!' Like he must be one scatter-brained lad if he can't remember names! That detail is just so sjdjssks.

ooooh okay, well first of all (and the first thing that instantly came to my mind), i think adam would 100% call you sugar tits, based on the fact that he calls lute danger tits. most of the pet names he uses for you are a little silly and make you giggle—because your laugh is, without a doubt, his all-time favourite piece of music to listen to—sticking to terms like honey bunny, honey bunches, angel eyes, sweets, sweet cheeks, my dream doll, and his personal favourite, what’s cookin’ good lookin’.

he’ll also use the typical condescending nicknames he uses within the show, like babe and sweetheart, but usually when he’s scolding you or mansplaining something. and during those late-night moments when his voice has gone all soft and melty and it’s barely more than a wisp of breath between the two of you, he’ll use endearments like gorgeous and beautiful, often pairing them with something possessive; my gorgeous baby, my beautiful angel, etc.

dan and phil have made a point in their return to be like 'remember all the things you loved about the d&p era? they're all coming back! but this time more gay!' it was literally the focal point of their return: the tatinof dil head. and since then, they've proved this. sims revival, spooky week, halloween baking, google feud, calendar & calendar vlog, dan vs phil, gamingmas, wdapteo--these are all returning projects. the only 'traditions' they have left are pinof (not returning, though we did get pinof reacts), danandphilCRAFTS (which was intended for 3 years and completed them), and easter baking. ergo, why bring everything else back and not this? i won't be like, mad, if we don't get one, but i will be confused, given their all-or-nothing commitment to the revival of the gaming channel.

regarding april fools itself: dan and phil love april fools because they love fucking with us (earned) they plan their pranks out and i respect them for it. while there's been many good ones throughout the years, which other duo, who have been stuck in sexuality and relationship speculation for their entirety in the spotlight (and have finally gotten the nature of their relationship mostly out of the public eye), has ever or will ever do a joint fucking nude and post it. no context. no takebacks. no nothing. to me that is peak dan and phil shenanigans. i expect them to do something for it because they adore april fools. will it eclipse last years? who knows. to me, it doesn't need to, and almost shouldn't. cause that was such psychic damage and i think it should be perceived how it's perceived, but dan and phil are feeling ✌️🤪✌️ lately so i wouldn't put it past them.
