things get better. my best friend in the world got top surgery after us talking about it for years. i'm getting mine next year. i have genuine friends now who teach me everyday what love looks like. love looks like going to an arcade and talking for hours at the bar instead. love looks like planning road trips to our hometowns. love looks like choosing our regalia colors together. love looks like learning our language. love looks like compression binders. love looks like top surgery scars. love looks like sweet grass tattoos.

Fuck you season five episode nine genuinely some of the worst shit they clobbered together

#just thought abt ir again im suddenly overcome with a sense of hatred and disdain #evwrything about that episode feels so half assed. its just straight up poop from a butt #nick as a character is incredibly annoying and inconsistent. starts out as a tool for exposition(rick trainibg the crows and he tells morty-#how shitty he is. Gee Thanks we definitely couldnt have concluded that from seeing rick train the crows)#only for him to just switch to a huge asshole who wants everyone dead #like. ugh.hes just so surface level and boring and UNNECESSARY. i genuinely believe if he didnt exist the episode would be improved tenfold #because ill admit!!! i like(most of) the r&m scenes!!! their spats are well written!!! i think they should have been a bigger focus;!!!#and dont even get me started on that buzzwordy word salad annoying as fuck speech rick has before he leaves #its so. badly written. its so awkward and so out of character. it genuinely feels like the set up to a rug pull momeny #AND LISTEN!;;;;;!!!!! #our tentative christmas eve dinner never materialized #because my mom needed to focus on making christmas happen tomorrow - she does so much #but instead we ended up having several wonderful times all together in the kitchen laughing today - which is amazing #I am so grateful to be home with my family this year #because I wasn't the last two years #and until this year there was so much stress in our home that it was unbearable - now there's stress outside but peace inside #and I'm home - and home is home again - in some ways more than it's been in a lifetime #I have cried with thankfulness a few times #God is so good and he has brought me back - when i thought i had lost my home forever #I suddenly realized all this last week in the middle of a video with the song “I'll Be Home for Christmas”#and started outright crying right then and there in front of my computer - and later again when praying at bedtime #I had multiple good conversations with my siblings today and yesterday #and did crafts with my sister #and had fun times and talks with another sibling #which was especially meaningful given some things that have happened lately #it was so good to laugh together #christmas #life #my life #thankfulness #grateful #thankful #God is good and he has answered many prayers #together #family

anyway in an absolutely wild turn of events I think I’m free of my hideous job and like. substantially richer for it??? lmao 2023 you really owed me

#ok so this a lot of personal shit but I’m just gonna incredulously vent into the tags #like I don’t even know how to describe what 2023 in this job has been like lol #since April they’ve been insulting and scrutinising and scapegoating me over absolutely everything #they were really angling for just firing me outright for never measuring up to their constantly shifting and increasingly bizarre goalposts #and it got so personal man they kept insisting that it wasn’t but my god #then my dad gets sick and it suddenly becomes awkward for them to keep insulting and overworking me #so they switch to just ignoring me entirely so they don’t have to reckon w what me and my family are going through #like they never ask how he is or how things are going just every Friday they say hey do you reckon you can take more work on again?#and THEN I get a gut infection and suddenly im being guilt tripped for taking sick leave and pestered for evidence #it was giving like ‘we had to give you time off for your dad but now you’re taking the piss’#to the point I DID reach out to a third party at the company and was like ‘I’m sorry but why the fuck are they treating me like this’#and she was like ‘confidentially this is disgusting and I advise you to report it’#WHEN SUDDENLY I get back from sick leave and it’s like ‘the business is falling short so we have to make some redundancies….’#and now they’ve had to pay me a SUBSTANTIAL sum to fuck off!!!
