also on a related/unrelated note the older I get the more those not-fun-not-clever-merely-sensible takes on romance make sense to me.
#I am such a believer. can’t even explain it. in the power of the transforming power of love#and the unexpected romance of LIFE#and yet also those drier takes about needing to have things in common/sharing the same values not just religiously but also culturally#just makes more sense#I don’t want to lose the romance though 😭 or my belief in it#but yeah#I don’t even know what I’m saying exactly#but like. context#availability. physical presence. opportunities. the worlds you move in being the same matters more and I can SEE that it matters more#than just all the beautiful potential of personalities sparking off each other#that means almost nothing if the rest is not there#not QUITE nothing. but for practical purposes. almost nothing#lol this doesn’t make sense#sorry I am just thinking aloud!

Just wanted to say that I completely agreed with your Sunrise take. It's almost as though you plucked it out of my brain and put it in words.
Its a shame that the Maysilee/Haymitch ship has been struck down so explicitly. I can't see the ship being popular now without fans claiming that we've 'missed the whole point'.
I also agreed with your take about Lenore: to me, she's far too similar to Lucy Gray for me to care about her in her own right and that's a shame.
I'm interested to see if you have any other thoughts since I enjoyed your first post a lot.
More thoughts on SOTR, Maysilee and Maysilee/ Haymitch.
I mean… I have issues with several aspects of Sunrise on the Reaping (SOTR), honestly. Like, the way the book handles its themes is just so on the nose. It lacks the subtlety Suzanne used to have. One of the biggest appeals of the original trilogy was that Katniss wasn’t a chosen one—she wasn’t special, she wasn’t trying to be a rebel, she was just surviving. And now suddenly we’re rewriting that entire foundation to make her destiny feel preordained? Add in all the fan service, which felt so Marvel-level with its cameos and callbacks, and yeah… I struggled with a lot of it.
The Maysilee stuff—and the Maysilee/Haymitch potential—is just one example in a list of things that didn’t work for me, but it’s a great one to highlight what went wrong.
First off, my gripe with Maysilee and Haymitch isn’t even just that they weren’t romantic. Sure, I do think a romantic storyline would’ve added more depth and been more compelling, but what really bugs me is the way people jump to that “not every relationship needs to be romantic!!” discourse like it’s some mic drop moment. And like—yeah, of course not every bond has to be romantic. The series already gives us beautiful platonic relationships, so what are you truly saying here? I always feel like that argument has a bit of a misogynistic edge, like romance automatically weakens a story or a character. That it’s less serious or important just because it’s “girly” or emotional. It’s the reverse of the people who think romance is the only thing that matters—it’s still minimizing, just from another angle.
Personally, I think a romantic connection between Maysilee and Haymitch could have added a lot to the story. Not because romance is inherently better, but because it would’ve allowed us to actually see the relationship develop. Imagine Haymitch having to confront and dismantle his class prejudices toward her. Imagine the layers that would add to his trauma, to his choices, to the person he becomes. That arc would’ve felt way more grounded than suddenly introducing Lenore Dove—a character who feels like a Lucy Gray copy-paste—and expecting us to accept her as the Great Love of Haymitch’s life.
And look, I’m a sucker for a good love story. I would have eaten it up so fast if this was a good one. But it simply wasn’t. There was no tension, no buildup, no spark. Just symbolism on top of symbolism, and a girl who was written to be “quirky” and “different” and important, but never felt real. She was too mythical, too much, too “main girl who haunts the narrative” without earning that weight. At least Lucy Gray had quirks and nuance. Lenore just felt like Suzanne ticking boxes: rebel, covey, singer, poet attached to her name, dead too soon. And I’m sorry, but having Haymitch still pining for his 16-year-old girlfriend decades later, when we barely get to see him reflect on his family or his fellow tributes? At least give space to his mother and brother, to the tributes he bonded with, to all the people he lost along the way.
And that’s what really bothers me. Suzanne always trusted her readers to come to their own conclusions. She showed us dynamics—Katniss and Peeta, Finnick and Katniss, Johanna and Peeta, even Katniss and Gale—and let us interpret. She never had to spell out who these people were to each other. But it seems like she didn’t trust that when it comes to Maysilee and Haymitch, and to Lenore and Haymitch as well. Suddenly we were told what to feel, how to perceive every relationship. And that just doesn’t land for me. It actually undermines the emotional weight because it feels like she didn’t trust the story to stand on its own.
And if the whole idea was to subvert expectations and say “Surprise! Everything you thought you knew about Haymitch’s Games is actually propaganda,” then… I don’t know. That twist didn’t work for me either. It didn’t enhance the themes, it just made me feel, again, like I wasn’t capable enough to reach conclusions on my own. For a book who speaks of propaganda, she sure tried to determine how we would interact with it without room for anything else.
Now, about Maysilee herself—she would’ve worked so much better as the ghost in Haymitch’s narrative. Platonic or romantic, an ambiguous bond between her and Haymitch had more potential than what we got. The Capitol downplaying her role would’ve tied beautifully with Haymitch’s later manipulation of the Katniss/Peeta narrative. She mirrors both of them in ways Lenore doesn’t: she’s a merchant girl like Peeta, she’s got Katniss’ fire, and her pin—her pin—becomes the ultimate symbol of rebellion. She painted the final poster. Not to mention the quiet tragedy of him having to see her twin sister around town for the rest of his life. That’s the kind of subtle, haunting storytelling that would’ve worked.
But instead, they stripped all that from her to give it to Lenore, and in the process, even Katniss’ story gets hurt. Because now, Katniss isn’t just a girl who stumbled into something bigger than herself—now she’s been chosen since the beginning. Which removes one of the most powerful things about her arc: the idea that regular people, caught in the right place at the right time, can change the world.
Lucy Gray worked as a ghost in Snow’s story. Maysilee should’ve been that for Haymitch. But unfortunately, all that depth, all that symbolism, was handed to a character who didn’t earn it and who honestly just didn’t deliver the emotional payoff Suzanne thought she would.

Why I’ll Never Ship Them with Anyone Else
A Reflection on a Rare and Beautiful Connection
When I first started shipping Nicola and Luke, it wasn’t based on surface-level observations or mere on-screen chemistry. It wasn't just because they looked good together or had chemistry on screen. It was because of the way they interacted in real life how their friendship seemed deeper, more profound than the average co-star relationship. There was something about their energy, their mutual respect, and the shared experiences that made their connection stand out. They didn’t just complement each other professionally; they seemed to bring out the best in one another on a personal level too.
It was about something deeper, something that felt real and rare. Over time, their bond became clear not just in their professional lives but in the way they spoke about each other, the ease of their interactions, and the undeniable connection they seemed to share both on and off the screen. It felt like one of those once-in-a-lifetime connections that we all hope for but rarely witness.
It all began as an unexpected interest, but quickly grew into something profound. I never intended to "ship" anyone, let alone two celebrities, but there was something undeniably special about Nicola and Luke that caught my attention and my heart. In a world where relationships often feel manufactured or fleeting, the bond between these two seems different. It feels rare, genuine, and out of the ordinary a connection that only comes once in a lifetime.
Now, I know many will point to potential other relationships they could have or may already be exploring. And while I respect their autonomy and happiness in their personal lives, any other connection no matter how nice it may seem will simply never hold the same significance for me. Why? Because statistically speaking, it's incredibly rare to find this kind of connection even once in a lifetime, let alone twice. The idea that either of them could stumble upon a relationship that offers the same depth, understanding, and chemistry feels unlikely at best.
In truth, I have no interest in their potential other connections, not out of dislike, but simply because they’ll never captivate me the way Nicola and Luke’s bond does. Their other relationships, while they may be fulfilling or loving, will by default seem more ordinary to me because what they share with each other is extraordinary. It’s not that I’m against them being with other people, it’s that those relationships will never solicit the same level of investment or intrigue. They’ll simply lack that spark, that ineffable quality that makes Nicola and Luke’s bond so captivating.
Even if they choose not to pursue this connection romantically, it will always feel like a missed opportunity for something truly beautiful. And though I will wish them both happiness in their careers and lives, I can't shake the sense that this connection deserves more. It deserves to be cherished, nurtured, and celebrated not just because it would be a beautiful love story, but because in a world that often feels devoid of real, meaningful connections, their bond stands out.
Their bond, in my eyes, is something rare and beautiful. It’s the kind of connection that transcends the typical, the kind that can evolve into a once-in-a-lifetime love story if pursued. And while I would always wish them happiness in their careers and personal lives, I can’t help but feel that their story deserves to be more than a "what if." I’ve never had much interest in celebrity relationships beyond a passing glance, but this, this is different. It’s not about star power or PR; it’s about two people with an extraordinary connection that feels like it could be something truly special.
For me, if their story doesn’t get the ending it deserves, it would be more than disappointing, it would be heartbreaking. Not because they owe it to anyone to be together, but because real love stories like theirs are so rare in the modern world. In a society where everything is shallow, fleeting, and transactional, where many things that are labeled "beautiful" or "valuable" are artificial at their core. But Nicola and Luke's connection seems like the opposite of that, it feels pure, natural, and rooted in something real witnessing a love story like theirs whether it's romantic or not brings hope. It reminds us that there are still connections that are genuine and built on something real. If they don’t pursue it, that’s their choice, and I’ll respect that. But it won’t stop me from believing that what they share is something worth rooting for, something that deserves to flourish. It’s a love story in the making, one that gives people hope. We need stories like that to remind us that true love still exists, that in a world so often corrupted, real and genuine connections can still thrive.
This isn’t just my perception either. People around them, friends, co-stars, crew, collaborators, interviewers, and even fans can see the unique qualities of their bond. Even in the recent article in The Times, Nicola acknowledged people’s interest in her relationship and potential marriage with Luke, laughing it off while emphasizing the deep love and friendship they share. But there’s something in the way she spoke about it, the way she described their connection, that made it clear: what they have is special. And whether or not it ever becomes romantic, it’s a bond that few people are lucky enough to experience in their lives. If they don’t end up together, I won’t be angry or resentful, just a little sad, because the world needs more real love stories like theirs.
In the end, I’ll never ship either of them with anyone else because I’ve never seen a connection like this before. I simply don’t believe they’ll find this kind of connection again. And while others may dismiss it as friendship or PR, I see it for what it is: A remarkable love I’ll always believe that they have something truly special, a once-in-a-lifetime bond that, if nurtured, could become one of the greatest love stories we’ve ever seen. And that’s something worth investing in.

The only way i could see Canon Katara interested on Zuko is if he somehow did his Heel Turn long before the start of the show and has become a freedom fighter akin to Jet, but without the murder.
Obviously, this is impossible, there is no way that a young Zuko could become a better person without his exile, his enviroment is just not place that encourage
Sorry for the last question i send, i made a mistake and send it sooner than i wanted.
But anyway, what i tried to say that, even if that ridiculous scenario that i propossed where to happen, Zuko would be a very different characther from his Canon self. Plus even if he has become Katara's type, there is no way to know if Katara would be Zuko's type on that scenario lol
***
Once again, guys: pre-scar and exile Zuko was already dealing with a ton of bagagge, and post-redemption Zuko was already a "freedom fighter but without the murder." Katara saw him at this worst during all of book one, at his somewhat less of dick moments (Ba Sing Se), and at his best after his redemption - and she wasn't attracted to him at any of these points.
"I don't support war, genocide and/or murder" is the bare minimum for Katara to not want somebody dead. Compassion is an obligation, not something that immediately makes a guy be a potential boyfriend in her eyes.
We have the answer of what would take for her to be into Zuko, and that answer is not "He can't be a villain anymore" but rather "He can't be Zuko." He can't be a dork that says the wrong thing in a funny way, she'd get mad. He can't want to live in the Fire Nation, there's nothing there for her. He can't be as stubborn as she is, otherwise they're gonna fight (just look at how many times she fights with Toph). He can't take himself too seriously, she'll just mock him for it (ask Sokka).
She wants the guy that literally sweeps her off her feet to charm her, or the guy that notices she's feeling left out at a party, dances with her, and smoothly tells her to ignore everyone's eyes on them because "it's just you and me." She would NOT react well to a guy that screams "SHE'S NOT MY GIRLFRIEND!" in the middle of their date (just see how well it worked for Aang when he went "I mean, if it was between kissing you and dying")
And we do know what Zuko's type is: Mai. Gloomy yet sweet, bitchy yet unbothered, out-spoken yet doesn't feel she owes anybody any explanations ever, can handle herself but likes being pampered, apathetic yet caring, has nothing prove yet can be quite arrogant, stubborn yet understanding, aloof to the world in general yet obviously crazy about him in particular.
Zuko might catch brief feelings for someone like Jin (nice, sweet and cheery), but long-term he needs someone as messy as himself so he can relate, but with the kind of mess that balances him out instead of encouraging his worst traits - the yin to his yang. He was not kidding when he said "You're so beautiful when you hate the world"
Katara loves life in general too much for her and Zuko to relate to each other in that regard. She doesn't even know what the word "apathy" means. She doesn't have an "unbothered" bone in her body. Girl went through a ton of trauma and still wasn't anywhere near gloomy, quite the contrary. And she has a bad temper, just like Zuko, which they both know is a bad combo, hence them surrounding themselves with more chill people (Aang, Iroh, Hakoda, Mai, etc).
They're not each other's type AT ALL, hence there being no spark when they become friends. Hence them being not just embarassed, but weirded our and uncomfortable when people mistake them for a couple.
There's a reason zutara fics re-write their personalities completely: there's no other way to force them together because they're fundamentally incompatible. The real Zuko would NEVER be attracted to the real Katara, and vice versa.

@simsim54 you've just inspired me
OK, Twilight fans, first off for the people who are homophobes, haters, and racists please leave and ignore this post if you don't like it.
Secondly, fans. Like all of you, i love twilight, but I feel like Stephanie Meyer had very poor execution on the story. Bella and Edward LITERALLY had little to no chemistry, and they cringy af, and everything felt rushed, especially if you looked at the timeline of events that was happening from twilight to Breaking dawn.
But one of my old posts got me thinking.
What if Stephanie had made Jacob female, and she was Jacqueline black (I know Jacob's fem name is Julie, but I feel like Jacqueline suits them better)
What if Stephanie Meyer, instead of making a girl with little to no personality and giving awkward introverts a bad name. She made this Bad@$$ Indigenous she-wolf mechanic shape-shifter who was loyal to her tribe, proud of her culture and freaking tough as nails but the most motherly person you'll ever meet and alpha female materials, then paired this woman to our awkward introverted gentleman vampire artist who could read her thoughts and they started out as enemies and then it became a slow burn to lovers.
I personally feel like if this story was written write then this would've made a waaaaayyyyyy better movie and way less cringe.
I will be first to say that sterek ate the child of the sheriff of a small town falling in love with a supernatural hottie. But Bella and Edward were cringe and very funny, and I couldn't take their love story seriously for more than two seconds. Sterek did it better, and even the fanfics ate.
But Edward Cullen, who is a vampire and a part of the Cullen clan, fell in love with Jacqueline Black. Daughter of Billy Black and great-granddaughter of Ephraim Black. A descendant of an alpha and a chief! Who also has issues with her older sisters. She is also part of Quileute tribe.
THIS REEKS OF SLOW BURN ENEMIES TO FORBIDDEN LOVERS!!!!!
And their children being hybrids will also be interesting.
I'm serious when I say that this story has potential, and if done correctly, it would have me reading on repeat.
Jacqueline and Edward hate each other at first sight because of who they are, then Jacky imprints on him, tries to hide it, but then sparks a relationship between her and Edward (with Seth's help of course), some of the cullens being extremely supportive of their relationship (apart from Rosalie who took some getting used to but slowly accepting Jacky), Jacqueline's pack finding out and the pack drama happens, Jacky's sisters making an appearance
Plus, the beautiful Romance between these two with the forbidden love. Plus, we can add in a cameo of Bella here and there. But Charlie would definitely be involved, and his relationship with Sue should be slow and not SUE LITERALLY GOING AFTER CHARLIE WHEN HER HUSBAND'S BODY IS NOT EVEN COLD YET!!!!
Seriously dudes, this has SO MUCH POTENTIAL!
CAN SOMEONE POINT ME IN THE DIRECTION OF THIS FANFIC OR WRITE IT PLEASE?!?!?!

Venus in Capricorn: A Guide to Building Lasting Relationships and Financial Stability
Venus, the planet of love, beauty, and values, is transiting through Capricorn until December 7th, bringing grounded, no-nonsense energy to our relationships, finances, and personal goals. As someone with Venus in Capricorn, I know firsthand how powerful this influence can be — it’s about commitment, stability, and building something meaningful that stands the test of time.
Let’s dive into how you can align with this energy to strengthen your relationships, boost your finances, and create lasting success in all areas of life.
1. Career Connections That Matter
Venus in Capricorn is all about rewarding hard work and consistency. If you’ve been showing up and putting in the effort, this is your moment. Promotions, recognition, and opportunities to connect with people who share your long-term vision could be on the horizon.
The key here is intentionality. Focus on creating meaningful professional relationships. Whether it’s a colleague, mentor, or collaborator, invest your energy in connections that feel purposeful and aligned with your bigger goals.
2. Love That’s Built to Last
In relationships, Venus in Capricorn doesn’t do shallow. This is a time for commitment, loyalty, and building a foundation with someone who’s just as invested as you are.
If you’re single, think about what you truly want in a partner. If you’re in a relationship, use this energy to strengthen your bond and create a shared vision for the future. This isn’t about quick sparks — it’s about the slow burn that lasts a lifetime.
3. Financial Foundations
Venus in Capricorn is incredibly practical when it comes to money. This is your chance to get serious about your financial goals. Take a closer look at your budget, start saving, or explore investments that align with your long-term plans.
Think beyond short-term wins. Every step you take now — whether it’s paying off debt or planning for retirement — can help secure your future.
4. Boundaries Are Everything
One of the biggest lessons of Venus in Capricorn is the importance of boundaries. In love, this means respecting each other’s needs and space. In money, it’s about knowing your limits — say no to unnecessary spending or risky decisions.
Capricorn energy is about protecting what you’ve built. By setting healthy boundaries, you’re creating space for growth while safeguarding your progress.
5. Network with Purpose
Quality over quantity — this is the Venus in Capricorn motto when it comes to connections. Whether personal or professional, now’s the time to focus on relationships that truly matter.
Seek out people who inspire you, challenge you, and align with your values. These are the relationships that will support your growth and open doors to new opportunities down the line.
6. Love as a Team Effort
Venus in Capricorn views love as a partnership. It’s not just about romance — it’s about building a life together. During this transit, think about what you and your partner (or potential partner) are working toward.
Whether it’s building a business, planning for the future, or simply supporting each other’s dreams, this energy is about creating something that’s bigger than just the two of you.
7. Self-Worth is Non-Negotiable
Venus in Capricorn reminds you to know your worth and act accordingly. When you value yourself — your time, your energy, your skills — you naturally attract people and opportunities that respect that.
This is a great time to focus on personal growth. Invest in yourself, whether that’s through learning something new, prioritizing self-care, or tackling a project you’ve been putting off. You’re worth the effort.
8. Patience Pays Off
Capricorn energy teaches us that the best things in life don’t come overnight. This is a time to embrace the process, knowing that your hard work and persistence will lead to long-term rewards.
Whether it’s a relationship, a career goal, or a financial plan, stay consistent. Trust that you’re building something solid, even if the results aren’t immediate.
9. Build Your Legacy
At the heart of Venus in Capricorn is the idea of creating something that lasts. This is your chance to build a foundation for love, finances, and success that can stand the test of time.
What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? Whether it’s through meaningful relationships, a thriving career, or financial security, this is the time to lay the groundwork for the future you want.
A Personal Note from a Capricorn Venus
If there’s one thing I’ve learned about Venus in Capricorn, it’s that love, success, and stability don’t come from rushing or cutting corners. They’re built through effort, intention, and staying true to your values.
This transit is an invitation for everyone to embrace those principles. Take your time, focus on what really matters, and trust the process. Whether you’re working on your relationships, career, or personal growth, the energy of Venus in Capricorn can help you create something truly lasting.
Here’s to building a life filled with love, purpose, and security — one intentional step at a time. 🌟

Don't know if this has already been done as a fanfic (If it has, I'd love to know where i can find and read them please!), and genuinely this might be fuelled by my insomniac brain running high off a movie binge...
Just now I'd love to read a fanfic/series of oneshots of characters from Star Wars having a movie nights watching some films from our world.
Whether Original, Prequel, Sequel trilogy - doesn't matter! Invite everyone! Or only have it be specific characters or trilogy only! Heck do all three of you'd like - I know I'd read them all, sounds fun!
Just brought a smile to my face as I was watching some films, and thought "I wonder how they might react to this?" I think it can be particularly fascinating to see their reactions, hear their thoughts and different perspectives vs ours on how they feel about the films, and even maybe if it effects them at all afterwards. Particularly if this is set during Prequel era it could be amusing or entertaining to see if this causes any reactions through the Jedi temple/Order and even the Clones too!
Heck! Maybe even go full AU/Isekai with it and have a person from our world fall into theirs every other night for a film night XD
Here's a few I thought could be interesting, may add more later, and my thoughts on why (Apologies that some are more in-depth than others. Some cane to mind in wonderful details while ithers struck my brain like lightning spur of the moment "Oh! This one too!"):
1) A Quiet Place (The one that kind of kickstartered this idea): I feel like this would be such a GREAT one just for the questions it would pose and discussions between characters on how they would handle such a situation, communication techniques, survival techniques etc Honestly think this would be a really good one to hear from Clone Wars era gang in particular just because between the clones and our favourite jedi I feel there are some fun dialogue to bounce between characters.
2) The Hunger Games series: Just this series of films from any of them would be... An experience to say the least!
3) Moulin Rouge: The chaotic nature of the Prequel/Clone Wars Era characters watching this could be outstanding - all depending on just what direction you're want to take with character reactions - I feel there is such peak comedy to be had here. Heck, even having the original trilogy watching this one could lead to some hilarious misunderstandings!
4) Lord of the Rings series: The parallels you could make for the wars in each era to the inner battle for the Jedi of the dark side and keeping balance as a whole - truly could have dome good back-and-forths and maybe even some battle strategy debates.
5) Each Era reacting to each other's films: Is it extremely meta? Yes. Could it be confusing? Most likely. Could it still be fun if written and handled well? Absolutely. There's so much potential for hurt/comfort, fluff, angst, comedy and utter chaos to be had with this one.
6) Inside Out: Oh the possibilities! I'd rather love to see a lighthearted whimsical approach to this, but you could approach this in so many ways. I feel like the Jedi could use this to potentially help Younglings/Padawans with processing certain emotions and understanding them.
7) Wall-E: For one, beautiful love story. And another, just imagine the droid appreciation!
8) Steven Universe The Movie: From the wonderful songs that I feel could strike a cord in many a beloved character - I feel this could spark a discussion on feels of loneliness, isolation and potential abandonment issues for a CERTAIN few.
9) Train to Busan: I'd love to see any of the Star Wars react to a horror flick especially a Zombie one and this one is phenomenal! And that emotional punch at the end just... Aaaaaah!
10) Lilo & Stitch: Found family, themes of Identity & finding purpose, and unique characterisations of Alien species.
11) Five Nights at Freddy's: Similar to my reasons on The Hunger Games that this would be an EXPERIENCE - not to mention just trying to rationalise anything happening.
12) Poirot - Murder on the Orient Express: Yes, I very specifically mean the 2010 David Suchet version (It is the best by far with David Suchet fantastic portrayal and does not change the ending or events in the narrative unlike some versions) No film night is complete without a good murder mystery and this is one of the best. I'd love to see the theories and guesses they'd toss around, the shock at the ending and questions it provokes on the justice system and justice itself.
13) Clue/Glass Onion: We've had a serious murder mystery, so how about some funny ones too! Feel we could have a number of confused characters and those laughing their arse off.
14) Taken: Similar reasons to Moulin Rouge - oh my gosh, could you imagine Obi-Wan, Anakin and Padmae's reactions?
15) V for Vendetta: A part front being an amazing film (The graphic novel is even more incredible! Honestly, they're both great) I couldn't begin to think of how Anakin's brain would malfunction. Heck, imagine Luke and Leia seeing it with some context on their mother's identity!
16) Invasion of the Body Snatchers/The Thing: Creature feature! (At least I've always thought of them as such 😅) My goodness, the shock. The accusations. The paranoia. So many good reactions you could get! And I feel there is great potential for the 'Aftermath' .
17) Titanic - Tears abundant. Devastation. The pure tragedy - or maybe frustration depending on how you prefer to take it? I could imagine some characters questioning why characters don't just do this or use this specific item? Could end becoming a critique.
18) West-Side Story (1961): Really wanted throw a musical in and "In America" popped into my head.
19) Much Ado About Nothing: Oh I don't see this causing any has any realisations about some of their own relationships - no suree! 😁
20) Pokemon The First Movie: I would LOVE to see what they thought of Pokemon! And also what happens to Ash in this film because by the force, this film can still make me cry even after 20 years!
21) Maquia When the Promised Flower Blooms: This film broke my friends. It broke me. I have no doubt it would break the anyone in Star Wars - and I would love to see it.
22) The Neverending Story: Quintessential heroes journey. Okay, truthfully we all know the scene that made me list this.
23) Jumanji: Don't know if this will unequivocally confuse every character or if they would enjoy the fun adventure?
24) Indiana Jones series: Would Han be flattered, confused or irritated by an imposter?
25) Matilda: I 100% believe they would think Matilda is a force sensitive child and would love the way she uses her abilities - and not to mention the judgement of Miss Trunchball!
There's so many more that can be done, and more that I might add later! And there's even a few series I'd love to throw in there: Hazbin Hotel, The Legend of Vox Machina, Lackadaisy, Digital Circus, Poirot etc
Anyway, if anyone knows of a fic like this already - please let me know! Or if you decide to write a fic like this - I will absolutely read it in a heartbeat!
#i wanna read a fic like this so badly#especially if someone hits the characteristics and personalities of the characters#star wars#star wars original trilogy#star wars prequels#star wars prequel trilogy#star wars sequel trilogy#star wars sequels#obi wan kenobi#anakin skywalker#ashoka tano#commander cody#commander fox#the clone wars#clone troopers#clone trooper rex#luke skywalker#leia organa#princess leia#han solo#chewbacca#r2d2#c3po#bb8#star wars rey#star wars finn#star wars poe dameron#the phantom menace#attack of the clones#revenge of the sith

Unleashing Business Potential with Strategic Marketing Solutions
The Power of a Dual Marketing Approach
In today’s fast-paced digital landscape, businesses must adopt innovative strategies to stand out and connect with their audiences. Two essential pillars of modern marketing paid advertising services and branding services—offer a dynamic duo that can elevate a company’s presence and profitability. While one focuses on immediate visibility and targeted reach, the other builds a lasting identity that resonates with customers. Together, they create a synergy that drives both short-term gains and long-term success. This article explores how these two approaches intertwine to unlock unparalleled growth opportunities for businesses of all sizes.
Amplifying Reach with Paid Advertising Services
The world of digital marketing thrives on visibility, and nothing delivers it faster than paid advertising services. These services encompass a variety of platforms, from social media ads to search engine promotions, allowing businesses to place their message directly in front of their ideal customers. Imagine a small startup launching a new product: with a well-crafted ad campaign, it can reach thousands of potential buyers within hours, cutting through the noise of organic competition. The beauty of this approach lies in its precision—advanced targeting options ensure that every dollar spent is directed toward individuals most likely to engage. Whether it’s a video ad sparking curiosity or a banner driving clicks, paid advertising offers an immediate boost to awareness and sales.
Beyond instant impact, these services provide measurable results. Businesses can track impressions, clicks, and conversions in real time, gaining insights that refine future efforts. This adaptability makes paid advertising a powerful tool for testing markets, promoting seasonal offers, or scaling campaigns as demand grows. For companies seeking rapid growth or a competitive edge, investing in expertly managed paid advertising services becomes a game-changer, delivering tangible outcomes in an increasingly crowded marketplace.
Crafting Identity through Branding Services
While paid advertising grabs attention, branding services lay the foundation for lasting recognition. A business is more than its products or services—it’s a story, a personality, and a promise to its audience. Branding services focus on shaping this identity, creating a cohesive image that customers trust and remember. From designing a striking logo to defining a unique tone of voice, these efforts ensure that every interaction with a company feels consistent and meaningful. Consider a local coffee shop: without a distinct brand, it’s just another caffeine stop. With thoughtful branding, it becomes a beloved community staple, drawing loyal patrons through its vibe alone.
This process goes beyond aesthetics. Effective branding taps into emotions, forging connections that transcend transactions. It’s about answering the question, “Why should customers choose you?” Through strategic storytelling and visual design, branding services position a business as an authority in its field, fostering credibility and loyalty. Over time, this investment pays off as customers become advocates, spreading the word organically. In a world where trust is a currency, a strong brand is an invaluable asset that sets the stage for sustained success.
The Intersection of Paid Advertising and Branding
The true magic happens when paid advertising services and branding services work hand in hand. Paid campaigns amplify a brand’s reach, introducing its identity to new audiences with speed and scale. Meanwhile, a well-defined brand ensures that these ads leave a lasting impression rather than fading into the digital ether. Picture a sleek ad campaign featuring a bold tagline and a recognizable logo—each click not only drives traffic but also reinforces the business’s essence. This synergy maximizes impact, turning fleeting visibility into enduring relationships.
For instance, a tech company launching a new gadget could use paid advertising to target tech enthusiasts, while its branding ensures the product feels innovative and reliable. The ads draw eyes, but the brand keeps customers coming back for more. This interplay allows businesses to balance immediate wins with long-term growth, creating a marketing strategy that’s both agile and sustainable. By integrating these services, companies can avoid the pitfalls of one-dimensional approaches, ensuring every effort builds toward a bigger vision.
Why Businesses Need Both to Thrive
In an era where competition is fierce and attention spans are short, relying on a single marketing tactic is a gamble. Paid advertising services offer a quick path to visibility, driving traffic and sales when time is of the essence. Branding services, on the other hand, cultivate a foundation that withstands trends and fosters loyalty. Together, they address the full spectrum of business needs—capturing interest today while securing relevance tomorrow. A retailer, for example, might use paid ads to promote a flash sale, but without a strong brand, repeat customers remain elusive. Combining both creates a holistic strategy that delivers results at every stage.
Moreover, the data from paid campaigns can inform branding efforts, revealing what resonates with audiences and sharpening the company’s identity. Conversely, a solid brand enhances ad performance, making campaigns more compelling and cost-effective. This symbiotic relationship empowers businesses to adapt, innovate, and grow in a constantly evolving market. For entrepreneurs and established firms alike, embracing this dual approach is not just an option—it’s a necessity for staying ahead.
Investing in Your Future Success
Choosing to invest in paid advertising services and branding services is a commitment to unlocking a business’s full potential. The former provides the spark, igniting interest and driving action, while the latter fuels the flame, building a legacy that endures. Whether you’re a startup seeking traction or an established player aiming to refresh your image, these strategies offer a roadmap to success. The key lies in execution—partnering with experts who understand how to tailor each service to your goals ensures maximum impact.
As the digital landscape continues to evolve, businesses that harness the power of this dual approach will rise above the rest. It’s not about choosing between quick wins and lasting value—it’s about achieving both. By blending the immediacy of paid advertising with the depth of branding, companies can captivate audiences, inspire loyalty, and pave the way for a thriving future. In a world where every click counts, this combination is the ultimate formula for standing out and staying relevant.

Shared unsaid thoughts we should have shared long earlier.
Small twinges of ‘oh shit-‘ through conversation, another piece we find without a match on the other side.
Nothing bad- just different- some might say, incompatible. I know that’s what we were thinking.
Projecting into the future of the plans and compromises we would have to make- how difficult a life fused together would be- I wanted it to be you, so badly. Maybe that’s a good first lesson of this new year.
The spark died before you told me it did. But you showed it in ways that hurt more than shadows. Avoidance, distance, broken sentences and fake affection. I could tell what was off- I was pretending too.
Fear got the better of us both, I guess that’s one thing we have in common.
Forty-eight hours of tears, brokenness and confusion, only to come to the bittersweet conclusion that ‘in love’ is not the right label for us. It hasn’t been for some time.
There is still love there, there is care, there is understanding and longing and a desperation to not lose one another to the events of a breakup.
Maturity and grace, we’re trying to maintain, a lifelong friendship, something we’ve hopefully gained. It’s a loss in some ways yet so much freedom in others. Needed freedom we couldn’t find in each other.
Only time will tell how well this can be handled. If this decision truly is for the better. If we can still go to concerts and build legos together, without strings attached or pressure to be anything more than ourselves.
That’s the goal, isn’t it? The freedom to be our own people in each others presence and not dread future compromises or pieces which won’t match.
I’ve found something in the pieces of your soul that I’ve gotten to know in which I can’t let go. Are you ok if I still hold parts of you close to me? In an endearing way. ‘I still think you’re beautiful’ so do I. A person with endless potential and stories, I can’t lose all you are, you’re lovely, even if we aren’t together like that anymore.
When I love once, I can never just stop. I can love in other ways. I can see you in a different light. But I will still always find pieces of you to adore. I want to go driving with you at night, I want to share stories and secrets and laughter, I want to see beauty in your being- it doesn’t matter if marriage is no longer in our future, I just hope you as a person can be.
I pray this is not just the end of a relationship, but the beginning of a new kind. A lifelong friendship.
No worries or labels, no twinges of guilt. We can sit with our boxes of unmatched puzzle pieces, and hold them as ours. They don’t all need to fit, it’s ok. You’re still someone I’d want to sit in a room with, and maybe build some legos instead.

I still have no idea if you're worth the choice
Steph. Oh I didn't think 2 weeks later after we lost any method of communication I'd still be pulling my hair out over a missed opportunity in my thirties, but here we are.
Intrigued. That's the word that always gets me. I can get a woman's intrigue but then I repulse her just as easily, like I did you. Intersectionality is always a difficult thing to be tasteful about when it invites dissent.
I thought you were better. You were so quick to sacrifice your ideals when something looked promising, that it would allow you to grasp at a strand of happiness when, without principle, those manifestations are, at best, fleeting. I'm not sure what I began resenting you for first - that you gave up your ideals on romanticizing against them or you were quick to see me as hostile when you knew you compromised our potential for it.
I never thought I'd say it, since we barely had more than a conversation or two, but
I miss you.
I didn't think it would happen to me. I wanted to do everything in my power to let the place you made for yourself in my heart fade away and eventually be gentrified, but it's not going away.
But this one's different. Different because we never met, did we? Our hearts connected then our minds clashed, but we never actually got to see each other eye-to-eye. You're the only reason I was even considering trying to break into Anime Boston, just Gatsby my polyamory panel hoping for a reinvigoration in your intrigue over me.
Maybe I didn't want to be right, but that's why the one means of connection we had left collapsed. I also know you'll never really see that. The minute an ugly, straight, cisgendered man says things provocative enough to garner hostility towards a few women, that was enough, wasn't it?
It wasn't worth it. Nothing was worth losing the tiny sparks we had despite never directly interacting meaningfully. I hate that I let myself watch and even be creepy at all, see you through some highs and lows not to stalk you but just to feel alright that you were doing okay. And you weren't a lot of the time. I wish you I could say for certain you're better off without me, because you certainly believe it.
I don't even need you to apologize for demonizing me, I'd still take you back in a heartbeat. I saw enough beauty behind your intentions that you burning a bridge means I'd just have to climb and swim.
The last thing I learned in undergrad was Goetheing my missed opportunities just led me down a path of envy and resentment. I look at my past self with a bit of disgust with just how much I denied myself on self-righteousness alone. I find myself making the same mistake again. With you. So as much as I'm apologizing to you, I'm apologizing to myself, as well.
If Steph is to slip me by - like Ash, like Fari, like Z.C., like L.L., like H.B., like J.P., like K.S., like N.V., like A.J., like V.E., like A.T., like B.R., like S.S., like S.V. - that's 15 lives I could've had: a slew of possibilities I refused to acknowledge until I actually let my personality disorder(s) fester in their energy.
Living the same regret, the fifteenth time, it's tough to bear. Even if they would pick the bear.
I don't want to let tokki represent that for me because I didn't give her the kind of shot I gave the last four: one of kindness and vulnerability. I decided to boast and flex, not put something out to show her she was a priority. Letting this go without taking every potshot I can feels wrong.
Maybe I'll find a way to reach her, one day. Until that day, another amazing and wonderful soul to drink over how I failed her. To spend moments alone on how it should be us keeping up.
I'm an idiot. If only because my anger over the normative ethics in the world forces my mind to wallow in melancholy instead of see just that many more steps ahead. I'm guarded to a fault.
But, for her, I wanted to let myself go again.
I can always romanticize the idea
but I know she'll never care to look that far into my heart.
That's the sadness I'll be feeling.
I really started searching for a convention girlfriend 2 years ago?
Fuck, does polyamory have its ways of humbling you.
Delta H Con, AnimeFest, Colossalcon Texas, San Japan
I got four more straws
Surely they can't all be duds...
aha..

met a cute guy at buffalo exchange today! i think he was into me maybe or perhaps just really friendly. what world are we in where a guy being nice to me and asking questions about my life while (NOT) buying (MOST OF) my old clothes turns me into a crush-y mess. I HAVE A GIRLFRIEND. but i’m like teehee he has my number in the work system.. what if he calls… an offense he could get reported and fired for….. i think more than anything this is a sign i need to talk to my girlfriend about where we both stand re: polyamory. because like. this was NOTTTT addressed when we officially started dating lol. and it should’ve been! so now it needs to be. i read the ethical slut recently and they talked about polyamorous people with monogamous partners, and the tldr; was basically that there needs to be an understanding on both sides that you love each other but have different needs, and that neither party should expect to change the other but instead should focus on enjoying the time shared together in the present. WITH the knowledge that everyone’s needs will need to be addressed and fulfilled later on! and i sometimes fear kayla hopes to change me. which is perhaps not the case! but either way, we need to talk. i had a dream about non-monogamy recently. tbh! my dreams have been vivid and AWFUL recently. not nightmares just legitimately bad, memorable dreams. last night was the first dream in weeks where i woke up with no recollection of whatever i’d dreamed about. my therapist is leaving her current practice, which will most likely end our sessions. i have two weeks left with her, and then i have to go back on the hunt for another therapist. which is super frustrating and really disappointing, in all honesty. and i’m trying to not brush off or push down my feelings on the matter — it really sucks! i’m absolutely dreading both finding and then starting up with a new therapist. actually i think my therapist feels a little bad too because she knows i have abandonment issues. LOL. i’m obviously not taking it personally i just AM so bummed out. but today is beautiful and i finally sold all my clothes that were sitting in the corner, minus a few more expensive pieces (by sold i mean i sold like 6 things and donated the rest. oh well! at least they’re gone) and i’ve been soaking up the sun and drinking an arnold palmer with mint tea. <- written and then drafted.
update from a few days later: my girlfriend and i had the non-monogamy talk! i feel as though it wasn’t incredibly productive but it did clear up a few things. 1) she says she’s not hoping i’ll change my mind or expecting me to convert to monogamy 2) she promised that if down the line she wasn’t okay with being with me & a potential open relationship made her uncomfortable, she would tell me. i read her cards last night and it sparked a long discussion about her not knowing how to make changes in her life and in her habits, and something about the conversation really bothered me. i think i feel like she maybe made a promise to me about her own self-work that she isn’t actively trying to keep. i sort of said that to her, too. that if she always represses her feelings and avoids her negative emotions and everything in her life she doesn’t like, she’ll end up making promises she won’t be able to keep. i’m not worried about her like i used to be when she was drinking, but i think i feel stuck when she feels stuck. and when she represses her emotions and stops thinking about things, it stresses me out. like she said she was struggling with her anxieties and her bad habits and etc etc, but that she was “working on it,” and i immediately knew that wasn’t true. so i asked how she was working on it, and the answer ended up being that she wasn’t. i feel like i’m going to get hurt here. there’s a lot i love about her but there’s a lot of emotional and mental blocks she has that frustrate me, because they make it hard for me to see a future together. i feel like this is how it must’ve been to date me last year. and i care so deeply about her and when it’s good it’s really good! but for some reason there’s a warning light in my brain all the time and i’ve never felt that before with someone in a romantic capacity, so i don’t know what it means. i don’t think it’s as black-and-white as “relationship DOOMED” but it obviously means something. and of course my feelings aren’t fact! but i see myself slipping into a guiding, mentoring role from my childhood that i don’t miss. i have an instinctive need to fix people and i need to work on ridding myself of that. but like. what do i do when it’s my girlfriend? i crave emotional stability, apparently. i think on some primal level i’m afraid of kayla. i feel it in my nerves when i’m around her, i feel it in my heart when i try and fail to open up to her. i don’t know if it’s her or if it’s me, or if it’s both or something else entirely. somewhere down the line it comes down to not feeling seen, and not being truly known, and not wanting to receive a love not founded on knowledge. it’s all so murky for me, and i’m not used to this level of turmoil in the beginning of a relationship. if only i had more time with my therapist…….

5 Ways to Make Your Bridesmaids Feel Special on Your Wedding Journey

On average, it costs a bridesmaid around £408 to have the privilege to stand by their dearest friend as they tie the knot. In fact, from organising a memorable hen to booking accommodation and buying the right accessories for their dress, the expenses can slowly creep up. But even if the role comes with pressing responsibilities, the reality is that bridesmaids are more than delighted to support you during the preparations and celebrations. As the bride, it’s only right to thank your bride tribe for all their dedication, as they are likely to have been through all your highs and lows. So what can you do to show how important they are to you? Lake District Country Hotels, owners of luxurious wedding venues in Cumbria and the Lake District, share some tips on making your bridesmaids feel confident and special throughout your wedding journey. ‘Propose’ in a unique way As you plan your big day, one of the first steps is to ask your closest loved ones to be your bridesmaids. Most people will feel flattered to hear the news that you’d like them to accompany you on this beautiful journey. In this respect, Paul Muresan, hotel manager at Lake District Country Hotels, says there are ways to make this moment even more unforgettable. “Asking someone to be your bridesmaid is an unforgettable moment, bound to spark tears of joy and tingles of excitement. “To make everything even more unique, you may want to ‘propose’ to them in a personalised fashion. For example, you could present them with a proposal box matching the wedding’s theme and their personality. “If you’ve known one of your bridesmaids since you were only a kid, think about including some pics together from your childhood. Or if you share a favourite musical band, you could add a CD with their best hits. “Don’t forget to include a heartfelt note, too! Just jot down a short but sweet message that explains why you’d love for them to be your bridesmaid when you marry your better half.” Introduce them to one another There are many different people you may want as your bridesmaids, from your sister and cousin to your university friend and work colleague. So, this means that there is a chance your gang may have never met each other. To avoid awkward silences during the rehearsal dinner, hen do, or the actual wedding ceremony, make sure to introduce them to one another beforehand. If all your maids are acquainted, they will feel more united and have time to form a stronger bond. Once you have picked your bridesmaids, consider organising a meal or a night out where they can get to know each other. With laughs, smiles, and wine flowing, it is easier to spur brand-new friendships! If they are scattered across the country, and distance is proving to be an annoying hurdle, make the most of social media. You could set up a WhatsApp group chat or arrange a joint video call – this is a quick, effective way to get everyone talking. Listen to their opinions Another way to make your bridesmaids feel special is to involve them in the wedding planning process. Your loved ones will want you to have the best experience possible, so ask for ideas and opinions as you perfect your event. You may even want to delegate specific tasks based on their areas of interest. Whether it’s suggestions for the menu, flower arrangements, or their bridesmaid dresses, they might be able to offer you some much-needed inspiration and come up with a winning idea that you never contemplated! Of course, you may not agree with all the opinions they are bringing to the table. But don’t make the mistake of dismissing their suggestions from the off if they are not what you had in mind. As well as potentially discarding a good idea, your bridesmaids might start to feel a tad underappreciated. And let’s be honest – you wouldn’t want to upset a loved one who is just trying to help. Plan some relaxation time Although organising a wedding is exciting, it is no hiding that it can be stressful and daunting at times. In fact, 71% of couples admit that wedding planning is more nerve-wracking than most major life events, such as moving house or starting a new job. It is crucial to take time out during the preparations to chill and unwind. So why not do just that with your bridesmaids? For example, you could book a magical spa day to keep the stress and worries at bay. On a tight budget? Don’t worry! You can opt for a relaxing night in with your gang and pop a bottle of bubbly with some reinvigorating face masks on. Not only will this help you all wind down, but it will also show your bride tribe that you care about them and appreciate all they are doing for you in the build-up to the big day. Celebrate the journey Before it’s time to make your way to the altar, reserve a few minutes to thank each bridesmaid individually. It will mean the world to them. If you’re running out of time, postpone this moment of gratitude to the end of the celebrations. Let them know how incredible they have been throughout the journey, and don’t be afraid to show your emotions. It is okay to shed a few tears or give them a big hug to recognise their invaluable support! You can hand them a personalised gift to make them feel extra special, too. Whether it’s a piece of jewellery or a meal at a restaurant they particularly like, treating them to a little something can go a long way and truly cement your affection for one another. The eye of the dragon
Warnings: None
Pairings: Jacaerys Velaryon/Targ oc
Notes: I'm excited to share Jace and Nara's love story!
1.01
The chill of the night's air nips at your skin as you watch Kain, your beautiful dragon. Kain was the second-largest dragon in the world; the only one larger than him was your brother's dragon, Vhagar. Despite his body being covered with green and scattered bronzed scales that practically glowed in the sunlight, he disappeared like a shadow into the night's sky. With only moonlight and the illumination from the small fire you'd built, you were able to observe the calmness of the darkness without disturbance.
Hearing footsteps approach from behind you, you smile, knowing who it is without looking. Jacaerys. He sits down silently and runs his fingers through his hair, hoping to brush out the droplets of water before they go down his face. You went outside before the weather turned and were able to avoid most of the downpour from your place inside a small cave on the beach.
Your mother had never liked any kind of weather that had the potential to develop into a raging storm, but you loved it. It made you feel free.
“Do you have anything in common?”
“We both love our dragons,” you shrug.
Jace holds your serious expression for a few seconds before bursting into laughter. “That doesn’t count; every Targaryen loves their dragon,” he squeezes your hand. “It might not be that bad.”
You roll your eyes and sigh. How could you make him understand what you’d be returning home to? A dying father, a mother who hates you, and brothers who ignore you. The only good things in your life back home were your older sister Helena and your dragon.
A twisted lock of wet hair hangs over Jace’s eye. You lean forward and brush it to the side, feeling a spark as you do. You turn back to look up at the night sky, but the feeling of eyes studying you causes your heart to race. “Why did you come to Dragonstone to deliver the news in person?”
You chew on your bottom lip, trying to think of an answer. Since your mother was hellbent on strengthening your house, she had decided it was time for you and Aemond to be married. The moment you heard her announcement, you felt as if a noose were put around your neck. You push the lump in your throat down and say, “I wanted to escape. The thought of getting married and bearing children to someone I don’t love... it’s my duty, but I’m not ready to perform it, not yet anyway.”
“What if you don’t?” You turn your head to look at him and raise your brows, silently questioning him. Jace licks his lips before continuing, “Don’t marry him.”
You give him a soft smile and ask, “What can I do? I'm the only daughter of the king who remains unmarried; it’s expected of me.”
“Marry me.”
His words tug at your heart, but you knew it was impossible. You shake your head and say, “We can’t let our minds wander like that.”
His brown eyes bore into yours, and you watched as his Adam’s apple bobbed in his throat with nervousness. He leans forward and cups your face with his hands, saying, “Marriage should be more than a duty. I will be king one day and will be able to give you the world.”
Tears threaten to spill from your eyes as a lifetime of memories, good and bad, replay in your mind. “I don’t want the world, I just want you. But-”
You were cut off when Jace presses his lips against your own. Maybe it was possible. Maybe you could marry for love after all.
—
You let out a loud groan as shooting pains ripped through your body. You sob, “I want this to be over! Someone please just-” you stop mid-sentence to let out a scream of pain.
“It will be over soon, princess,” Ser Criston tightens his grip around your waist a little, helping you to stand. “Besides, nobody will be able to hear you over Kain.”
The roaring noises coming from outside sounded like strangled whines. There was a myth that dragons and Targaryens could feel each other's pain if their bonds were strong enough. A myth you suspected was true.
There was a knock at the door. You gave Ser Criston a weak nod, and he called for the person on the other side to enter. Two young midwives stepped into the room; both of them looked terrified. not of you or Criston Cole, but of the fact they now knew a secret that would have them killed if it ever left the room.
You were about to give birth to a bastard child.

For the ship ask game hmmm... 😌 Well I already know you're not very into gothcleats but perhaps that one anyways! Otherwise... 😆 Ahaha can I ask a few?? How about hencedes, glennry, sparrow/nicky, and nark? No worries if you don't feel up for doing all of them! 💜
Hi, Bababird! Hope you're having a beautiful day 🖤🖤🖤 And yes ofc I can whip up some gothcleats for you! And the other ones!!! I am always willing to provide my silly little thoughts 😌
Alright (ha), as promised: gothcleats time!
Honestly? I don't mind it! I think there's a lot of fun parallels and intertwining themes to be found in their extant relationship, and I definitely enjoy looking at the cute fanart I've seen of them on occasion. I probably would ship it if my lesbian Scary hc wasn't so real to me! I would absolutely adore seeing them in a qpr though - I actually really like the idea of the teens all being in a qpr together. Nobody comes between Scary and her boys 😤😤😤 Nonetheless, Link and Scary have such an interesting dynamic and I feel like it's very much been a highlight over the past few episodes - I mean, Link breaking the anchor of love as an act of solidarity with Scary? Link refusing to let Scary go even as she Eldritch Blasts him? The genuine fear in Scary's voice when she thinks she might've killed Link??? It's so much, truly it is. I'm SO excited for whatever Matt and Beth have planned with their characters going forward, and while it's not my personal cup of tea romantically, I truly do love the gothcleats relationship!
Okay next up: Hencedes!
HENCEDES T4T BI4BI COUPLE OF ALL TIME!!!! NON-NEGOTIABLE!!! They are truly so much if I think about them too hard I will start crying!!! Everything about them is so fucking sweet and lovely and truly. Relationship goals fr!!! They're so strange and bizarre separately and even MORE strange and bizarre together and their devotion to each other is so so so very precious to me. Like. Their story makes me so unhinged actually I am so glad they exist. Mercedes really truly takes all of Henry's oddities in stride and he does the same for her,,, their cute little nicknames for each other,,, they would lay down their lives for each other without a second thought and I love them so much for that. I want nothing but happiness for them forever and ever and ever ok (looks pointedly at the current state of s2). I am a Hencedes stan first and a person second thank you <333
Okok next: Glennry!
In case you haven't realized. *Slaps "HUGE MULTISHIPPER" sticker on my forehead* like yourself, Baba, I also contain multitudes 😌 Anyway Glennry is SO fun to rotate around in my head, personally. I think they could learn quite a bit from each other as partners - with Glenn, Henry could get a bit more in touch with his rebellious side, and Henry could help Glenn in his struggles with emotional vulnerability. Their friendship works well as is in canon, obviously (well, s1 canon since we're not entirely sure what's going on with s2 Henry yet), but the potential of them as romantic partners is so great and so fun! They should kiss. For funsies. At least to piss off Bear Ry'Oak, if anything else <3
Up next: Sparrow/Nicky (/Spark/lovesong/highjinx/whatever other fun names exist for these two)!
And if I told you Spark was my latest obsession. What then. Literally I have been losing my mind over them for the past few days (thanks Nyx and Ivy <3) and I show no signs of regaining normalcy anytime soon!!! I just think there is SO much potential for exploring a romantic relationship between the two of them - or even something like a qpr, if you wanna go the Sparoace route! Literally could not get to sleep last night because I was thinking about them so hard. Similarly to Oakworthy, both Nick and Sparrow have such deep-seated issues regarding identity - Sparrow seems to define himself by being half of a matched set and doesn't really let himself be anything other than the Sparrow part of Lark-and-Sparrow. Nicky, of course, has. Gestures at the entire latter half of s1. And I think that if anyone can understand what either of them are going through, it's each other - and maybe they can just exist together. Without labels or expectations - not Nicholas, Jodie's son, or Sparrow, the more stable twin, or Nick, Glenn's son - just being Nicky and Sparrow and maybe also being in love. I also just think the imagery of it is wonderful - druid and demon, summer and winter, life and death, plant life and fire. Real Hades-and-Persephone type shit, which I personally love to see!
And lastly, finally, Nark!
So sorry to all the Nark stans out there but Sparrow/Nick has so thoroughly taken over my brain. I do love the idea of this ship - not only the aesthetics (hehe the demonic savior and the fallen angel), but the tragedy of it all - how the love may have been there, and in another world it may have been enough, but that world isn't this one. I have read many a Nark fic and I'd be hard-pressed to find one I didn't like, but it's not my go-to ship, personally. On another note, though, I do think Nark has some hilarious comedic potential as well - especially when paired with other ships like Sparrow/Cassandra (thank you tumblr user llumimoon for that particular piece of fanart - you know the one, I'm pretty sure you still have it pinned, Baba). Dougie wondered what it was like, to be loved like that. To be loved so much your partner wanted to marry you, to want to be with you for their entire lives. For better or for worse, in sickness and in health. To be so irrevocably in love that nobody on this planet mattered more than them. Plenty of times, he thought he met the one. That person. Heck, once upon a time, he'd been engaged for crying out loud because he thought he was in love, and he thought that was what she wanted... but he had been younger and naive, foolish. Doing things for people because he thought he wanted them to, thinking it would fix whatever hurdle they faced at the time. Unfortunately, the hurdles weren't just hurdles, not a normal bump in the relationship and it took him too long to come to his senses. The scars still remained. Since then, he had been in other relationships and each time, he would fall head over heels and in love. Thinking, she's the one, I feel it, I know it in my heart this time...and then poof. It didn't last. Always teetering along the threshold of being either too much or not enough, never quite finding the right balance. It was a tragedy really: a man with so much love to give and yet nowhere to put it.
Unable to help the smile that curled his lips, he let out a noise that was both a laugh combined with a sigh of relief. "Well, that's definitely a relief let's put it that way." In that case, he was in perfectly capable hands, wasn't he? "At least I have a handy teacher to um, to show me the way. Dougie could let her lead, couldn't he? And he could...try and stop overthinking it all. Stop assuming everyone's watching him when they were too invested in their own conversations to even give them a second glance... probably. Up until now, he genuinely thought he was over those days, the teen years, the school stuff including the crushes. Naturally, you let them go over the years as you become older and wiser. But being here, looking - or more like drowning - in Serena's eyes, and the sparks he almost saw flying off the moment their hands linked reminded Dougie that maybe he wasn't over everything as much as he thought. Maybe he definitely wasn't over her, specifically. But it was just a schoolboy crush, his brain kept reminding him. But Serena was practically glowing, her radiant beauty right there before him and maybe he was falling all over again. At least not in the literal sense just yet.
It was pretty difficult to focus on trying not to trip up his feet - or hers - whilst also trying to focus on not staring at the poor woman and potentially freaking her out but... How had it been so long since they last saw each other and at the same time it felt like a moment frozen in time? To have her within reach, so close to him...It would be impossible to let her go. Not again. In that moment, nothing else mattered. Not even the happy, married couple. At that moment, it was just Dougie and Serena, and whatever this was between them that had him wondering whether or not she felt it too. Whether he was just in well over his head before he could even think about it. Her sister never even came to mind - Taylor who? And maybe he was getting ahead of himself if he was thinking of the what ifs. Especially when he was trying to focus on the here and the now, remaining present in this moment, their moment.
"Is it?" he asked when she mentioned coming back always being hard. Dougie wondered whether there was more weight to that statement than she let on, but he wasn't about to poke his nose where it didn't belong. Genuine interest piqued as she told him about the studio, a warm smile gracing his lips. "Oh, that's brill! How long have you been there?" he asked, sincerely interested in her, in everything in between the missing years, to get to know the woman she became. His little, shy smile grew when Serena expressed her kind words. It meant a lot, what she thought. "Thanks... It took a long time to get there but you know, we all have our own journeys and all that," he said with a small shrug. On paper it may have all looked great - and don't get him wrong, he considered himself very lucky, the job had been his dream for years... but still - there felt like there was something missing. But that could've just been a result of his fluctuating mental health, his mind was his worst enemy at the best of times. "And I'm happy for you too." Was she happy? It was a question he wanted to ask after remembering her saying she could be better beforehand. but again, worried too much about overstepping boundaries. But there was part of him that was feeling a bit brave. They seemed comfortable around each other, and he wondered whether or not it was time to ask the question that had been on his mind since Emma practically shoved him over to her. "Hey, uh -" Dougie cleared his throat, smiling softly at her before tentatively asking, "Can I - can I ask you something?"
Serena allowed herself a brief look at Emma and Eric. The couple was having a moment. She couldn't help but think that this was what she wanted. She wanted someone who loved her the way Eric loved Emma, intensely, no matter what flaws Emma might have, no matter if they had a bad day, they outweighed that. Unconditionally. That was the word. She wanted someone who would love her unconditionally no matter what. Maybe one day she could have that. Another part of her thought she was going to end up being the single aunt with ten dogs and five cats but a small part of her still held out hope that what was to come would be better. Serena didn't have the best of luck with the guys she'd dated, probably because her taste in men was questionable at best. In part she also attributed it to the problem she had of exposing herself too much to disappointment. She put too much heart into everything she did, dancing, work, relationships and in the end many times Serena ended up disappointed.
"Don't worry, I'm sure I've taught kids that are way worse than you." She gave him a small wink with no intention of making him feel bad but to release some tension between them. Being a dance teacher, Serena had encountered children of all kinds of talents and had learned to cultivate the gift of patience more than she ever had. Besides, Doug could destroy her feet that Serena would still want to dance with him before anyone else in the room. When she placed her hand over his, Serena felt a warmth course running through her. Almost as if touching him burned her. She came down briefly to take a look at their joined hands. That felt good, maybe too good.
She still felt guilty for having any kind of feelings for Doug other than friendship. Mainly because even though Taylor was quite a thing, Serena still felt that she had to owe that modicum of loyalty to her sister no matter how ungrateful bitch she could be. Besides, she could never go that far no matter how much she loved Doug when she was a teenager. Teenage love wasn't enough to get over the fact that he was her sister's ex and people would have a lot to say, starting with her sister and her parents and moving on to everyone who knew them, neighbors, work colleagues, high school friends. She could never have anything more than a friendship with Doug and that was painful and torturous in equal parts.
As they both glided onto the dance floor, Serena could feel her heartbeat in her ears. Nothing around them matter. She just liked to look at Doug. God. That was not okay at all if what she wanted was to be in amicable terms "It's okay." She shrugged. It's not like the question bothered her or anything. Technically she was the one who had left the door open to that question "You know, coming back is always hard, adjusting to being back and all that" Coming home above all had been particularly hard. She knew that her psyche could never have resisted going back to her parents' house so she had searched for her own place before coming back home "I'm teaching at Miss D studio so at least that's familiar I guess" Her old dance teacher had gladly accepted her back into her dance studio. That dance studio had been part of much of her childhood and adolescence. "Vet clinic, just look at you, I'm happy for you, Doug" It was good news that he was exactly where he had always wanted to be or at least Doug seemed happy to be where he was so that was a good thing.

Synastry Series: Mars in Romantic Relationships
Romantic Synastry Series: Mars Synastry Connections are intense and can be very much needed in relationships because Mars represents movement and the expenditure of energy. The sparks in a relationship begin with Mars in synastry and the longevity is determined by strong Moon or Saturnian aspects. With Mars aspects, you can expect a travel companion, a business partner or someone who has you become their gym companion. This is a connection that can change your outlook and bring some potent transformations for both parties. Mars needs balance to bring true happiness and the person with Mars in the synastry must add compromise to make the relationship thrive. This post focuses on the harmonious aspects only.
Mars/Sun – This is the lust at first sight placement. Expect the chemistry levels to be through the roof assuming there aren’t any Saturn contacts especially with the conjunction. The conjunction adds a level of intimacy that will allow both parties to feel very comfortable with one another immediately. It can feel like a fated occurrence, that you have met one another before in another timeline. Mars here represents what the Sun is physically attracted to. The Sun is enchanted by Mars because of the attention they receive from their partner. This connection could be purely physical at first and can become something more with time. Mars is pleased with this connection since they retain most of the control, it appreciates the Sun and wants to build. This aspect can help both parties enter a business endeavor together as well, especially with the trine aspect. You can expect favorable outcomes here with Mars and Sun agreeing to a common goal. The sextile adds playfulness and romance but not as much of the blinding passion that the conjunction and trine will provide.
Mars/Moon – Passionate connection between these two people and an element of possession by Mars. Mars is enchanted by the Moon to the point where it wants to dominate and control. The masculine side of Mars will see the Moon as the ideal person to be with. Moon is someone they can protect or possibly control. With the positive aspects, the Moon will be happy that Mars will safeguard and care for them. It is not surprising if both parties feel the need to be together and commit immediately since Mars wants to live and share moments with the Moon with urgency. A connection like this can feel surreal and beautiful with the trine. As usual, the sextile brings a calmer energy that flows and yes, both parties will feel the urge to get to know one another and be together but it will take time. This aspect can be successful generally with the harmonious trines and sextiles. Conjunctions can go either sweet or sour, but generally should be fine if both parties are mature and have some influence of a Moon/Saturn or Mars/Saturn dynamic natally.
Mars/Mercury – Intense communication with this placement as both parties feel emotionally and intellectually stimulated. Mars is captivated by what Mercury has to say. If it is a conjunction, the conversation can become heated, but it will be more in an engaging and intriguing way. Mercury can teach Mars how to see all sides to an argument and provide clarity only if Mars is willing to respect their partner’s views and the relationship is balanced. The trine aspect can provide a playful and fun dynamic to their communication. They will be inspired by each other, bouncing off ideas. This is ideal for Mercurial people and Uranian types. If both partners are in the creative field, they can make some wonderful projects together, especially with the sextile since it will allow them to build in a respectful way by honoring what their partner has to say and appreciating their opinions.
Mars/Venus – Passionate Venus will enjoy the game with Mars. Venus can shine and feel a sense of confidence with this synastry aspect. Mars will be the soldier that will protect and captivate Venus. With the conjunction, this synastry aspect can make Mars obsessed with Venus but Venus here can hold their own. Like with the Moon, Mars will be focused on controlling Venus because they represent everything they want in a partner. However, Venus will be much more of a challenge here. Games will be played between the two until Mars sees themselves as the victorious one (or at least Venus will let them think that). The trine will allow the energy to flow between both people in a way that adds an element of compromise. Venus will be diplomatic, and Mars will follow suit but the romantic gestures and devotion will be much more appreciated by Venus. With the sextile, it will be easiest to handle since both parties will be even more receptive to creating balance and harmony. It will be more playful here and enjoyable.
Mars/Mars – Similar to the Sun and Mars aspect, Mars in the same sign or with a Trine can make partners filled with passion and a deeper connection since the energies are understood and can be shared in controlled ways. The conjunction will add a competitive feel and sparks will be flying for these people when they are together most of the time. The sextile adds restraint, cool, calm and the ability to bring up the passion seamlessly whenever they want. Building and creating can be wonderful for these people if they are able to meet a compromise or if they have a common adversary. When both have a goal they want to seek together, they can become unstoppable, and others may even envy the way that they can work together to get things done. This relationship gets better with time the longer they are together and the more opportunities they have to grow as a team.
Mars/Jupiter – Explosive connection and both parties will not be able to get enough of each other. There is a hunger that is not satiated when both are close. The conjunction makes them inseparable; the trine adds more of a romantic and controlled feel while the sextile is the smoothest energy of them all, allowing them to come together in harmony, seamlessly whenever. Mars will be challenged here as Jupiter prefers to do things on their own. This can make Mars respect Jupiter but also wary as Mars sees the strong independent spirit that their partner has. Jupiter can become a great teacher for Mars, allowing them to see things differently and open their mind. This can serve as a Mercury and Mars connection if Jupiter is more worldly or older than Mars, they can be a teacher or a guide for them. With this relationship there is the potential for growth as Mars will continue to be fascinated by Jupiter as time goes by.
Mars/Saturn – This could feel quite restrained and controlled as Saturn makes Mars hit the brakes. Saturn allows Mars to mature showing them how to express themselves in new ways; it can even make Mars want to commit, assuming both parties are focused on the long term and have set their sights on a path of growth. For partners with Uranian dominance, this can feel overwhelming, but with time they can settle in if all other aspects allow. The conjunction can feel heavy, especially for Mars since Saturn may be older or just carry themselves in a more mature way. Mars can feel restricted, but those obstacles can ease themselves with time. The trine is more cooperative and preferred for both parties since it can allow them to channel their energies into building a stronger foundation for their relationship. The sextile adds a level of commitment, but it might not be as strong as Saturn would like. Either way, this is a recipe for a relationship that gets better with years, and it is essential that both parties remain patient and understanding.
Mars/Neptune – Fairy Tale connection when Neptune meets Mars. This can be a sultry bond, one that you could only have imagined in your wildest of dreams. While Neptune can make this feel fated and spiritual, it can also make you feel like you have on rose colored glasses. Be aware of who you are with and try to be more analytical once the glamour drops. With the conjunction, both parties will be in their own little world. Things will feel surreal until the shoe drops and both parties begin to see who they are with. Sometimes, seeing the reality might be a little bit of a shock but assuming there are positive or grounding Saturnian aspects involved, both people can appreciate what the other has to offer. The trine adds some flare, but it will make both partners very hyper aware of who they are with. With the sextile it is by far the most pleasant aspect since Neptune’s mystery will be easily navigated. Mars will see Neptune as someone they can learn from, and this becomes similar to the Jupiter/Mars aspect where one can serve as a guide to the other without the smoke and mirrors the conjunction might provide.
Mars/Uranus – Other worldly connection as Mars is enchanted by Uranus because of how they view the world. Mars understands levels of structure like Saturn, but it is extremely impulsive and not as rigid. However, meeting Uranus will bring Mars into a more Saturnian role in this relationship. The conjunction will be explosive as Mars begins to pursue relentlessly for the freedom seeking and independent Uranian partner. This aspect surely delivers with excitement and unexpected moments that can wear down Mars over the years. At the beginning, things can feel experimental and surreal, adding a tinge of the Neptunian connection but none of the fairy tale moments. This feels interdimensional and transcendent for both. The trine allows these people to seek a compromise and if both parties want to be in non-exclusive terms, this aspect can provide that with ease. The sextile adds a calmer level of excitement. Uranus might surprise Mars with new experiences or travel opportunities and generally will be more of a welcoming aspect for both parties if they are not natally Uranian types.
Mars/Pluto – A connection that will be infamously viewed as epic due to the intensity. Mars and Pluto are both warrior signs and with the trine this connection can mean changes in the lives of both parties. Mars is driven and Pluto is willing to accept Mars as they are. A positive aspect with these two planets creates chemistry that can be deemed to be off the charts. However, this is all about power and control dynamics as Pluto wants to dominate and Mars does too. As long as both parties can create a balance, this can flow perfectly. They can achieve greatness together but if they let their ego or jealousies get to their heads, this can be destructive, even with the positive flow of the signs. The conjunction will unleash more of the negative qualities since both Mars and Pluto want to fight for ascendancy. With the trine, both parties can get things accomplished together and use their energies in more of a romantic way. As always, the sextile is still intense, but it is a more reserved energy compared to the other two. Both parties will unleash it together and express it in a more caring and receptive way.
