You couldn't kill your brother (shooting script for TFP)

So, I looked into this script when someone posted links to previous versions of the s4 shooting scripts. As far as I know, this was an actual version of the script for The Final Problem. If anyone has any evidence that this might not be real or accurate, please do tell me so I can add that in.

So, onto sharing some of my thoughts.

One line was that always stuck out to me as odd was Mycroft saying he never bullied Sherlock. That was such a strange word choice for him of all people. Only it was not his wording. In an earlier draft, Sherlock says: "You turned my sister into a ghost story to bully me." In the aired version, they cut the bully part out, but left in Mycroft's response.

They also changed Sherlock's line to Mycroft from "do be quiet, dear" to "shut up, dear". Previously, it was actually John who says "Shut up, Mycroft" after he doesn't stay silent after Sherlock's line.

Now what I found strange was Ben C's delivery. Telling someone to shut up is usually done in a snappy way, but he says it rather calmly? And he still says "be quiet" later, which seems like a de-escalation? Like, he gets less mad that Mycroft won't listen?

Now in the new version, John says nothing and is completely silent. Why doesn't he say anything, wouldn't he also be interested in hearing the phone call?

There is also some new dialogue that was cut in the scene where Sherlock is forced to choose, such as Mycroft saying "for the greater good" and the line about flowers comes earlier, John saying to Mycroft he is the right soldier for the job and the smart one and Mycroft saying he is not and confessing to the Moriarty thing. Paraphrasing.

Also before giving the "how do you want me" line to Mycroft, Moriarty adds "fair enough."

My least favourite part was the narrative agreeing with Mummy Holmes about Sherlock being the grown up. At least in the aired version, I can headcanon we are not supposed to agree, but like this... ugh. Just ugh.

Now onto what I posted. If this is an actual scene, I have a thought to share.

Why on Earth would you cut this?

It adds so much. Sherlock trying to frame his reaction as an act of logic, before saying that, yes, he wasn't able to kill his brother. This being a revelation and a moment, implying Sherlock thought he was able to do it and being surprised he could not. He knew it was going to be hard, he says so, but he is surprised he wasn't able to go through with it.

Sherlock admitting he fears Eurus killed Mycroft, when in the aired version it was only implied and wasn't clear to everyone. Which makes me even more mad we never see the Holmes brothers talk about this! I will take a handshake at this point if they couldn't give us a hug. (with them as adults, I know we got one as children). And when I say that, I should clarify I want them both to be alive at that point and both to stay alive afterwards (sorry, my snarkiness is bleeding through. you know me ;)

Also just to end on a sad note I guess, and others noticed this before me, when Sherlock hugs and comforts Eurus, he at that point still fears she might have killed Mycroft (and is in middle of attempting to murder John). Yet she gets a hug...

Sam ending up throught groundbringe fuckery in Tfp would be such a vacation for him i think. Less action, less aliens ripping each other to shreds every miniute, the difference between how bay formers and tfp formers look.. Sam would look at tfp cons deadpan not afraid at all

Meanwhile the kids in Bayverse would get treated like sparklings probably(wattch Miko growl once at a con and promptly get adopted) Raf especially. Jack would take one look at everything and just go to work in NEST cafeteria until others can figure a way back home for him, Miko and Raf because he's NOT getting involved in this housefire(would avoid bay!Op like a plague something something honorary prime nonsense)

Sam is right there, chilling and spazzing on the minor things (to everyone else in TFP), while completely blasé to the major world-changing/world-ending things. He's been in more than one "end of human civilization" scenarios. It's not his first rodeo, and he's not even counting the doomsday panic of 2000 and 2012. He's immune to crazy, otherworldly shit via alien technology. If anything, he's weirdly disappointed over the lack of alienness of their Artifacts.

He literally resurrected his version of Optimus, met the Dynasty of Primes, had the Allspark in his mind, and dealt with the Fallen that manipulated gravity fields.

Sam's treating it like an unwanted vacation to a place that lied upon the brochure. That guy is like a powerful magnet for destroying Decepticon plans. He would probably fall into a chasm of a hidden Energon mine or interrupt an Artifact expedition to his advantage because 1) Allspark guided him, or 2) he was getting to antsy in the base of nothingness (no human personnel, no cafeteria, no agents, no systems or tasks for him) and did a runner.

He definitely puts his foot in his mouth when he meets Arcee. Sam would never get used to their more human-like frames.

Sam's boogeyman would be M.E.C.H.

Meanwhile, the Jasper Trio is stuck on Diego Garcia. They're taken back by the immense operation that's N.E.S.T. and feeling really lost. Miko doesn't have a Bulkhead-equivalent, Jack doesn't know what to make of the triplets, and Raf isn't clicking this Bumblebee.

Because everyone is too busy, they're trying to slot into things without getting too underfoot. Jack already has certifications related to his fast food job, so he gets into the mess hall to prepare meals for hundreds. Raf and Miko get into the science portions. Raf is making a name for himself as he has the most success bridging tech and understanding the Cybertronian script. Miko likes explosions.

The kids are boggled by all the politicking that goes into it and the more intensely magical things with the Allspark.

Those three will never, ever not laugh at Dorito-Starscream.

(Both sides have the not-so-fun realization about the malfunction connected to Unicron in the middle of Earth. That's too farfetched for anyone, but the truth literally grabbed the respective Primes with giant elemantal fists to viciously shake them.)

This is something that has been in my mind. What would Megatron's reaction be? What will he do to them?

(In my mind I see the reader as Raphael's older sister but that'll be up to you since you are the writer)

TFP Megatron X MixBreed Reader

Megatron found out some of his old soldiers that fled from cybertronian years ago came on earth. They made a life here, and he was pissed. They betrayed him, they left their duties, and they are a traitor to the cause. So, he sent out his drones to find them and be them to him so they could face their punishment.

Soon, his troops found a lot of them, and they were brought back and killed. Though, there were some ex-Decpticons that were no longer online. Though, one of them named EdgeBlade, somehow made a family with a human.

So, he decided to take his anger on their family. When he sent out this order, he had smokescreen in his grasp, so they heard everything. When smokescreen escaped, he told the autobot team everything.

So, the ratchet and Raphael looked up this unknown family and the child of an ex-decpticon. They soon find them, their location, and names.

They only had one child. (Y/N). Somehow, a cybertronian, a completely diffrent species, was able to make a offspring with a human.

So, this was a big deal. Optimus ordered everyone to go get (Y/N) and their father. When the team fled to go find them, they where to late.

Megatron was at the house and found (Y/N). Their father was now dead. The autobots did try to help (Y/N) and rescue them. Sadly, it would not work and Megatron was able to get away from them.

On the warship, megatron demanded to explain themselves and ask how their carrier(Cybertronian version of mother) went offline.

(Y/N) would explain they don't understand intel megatron got tierd of (Y/N) being so clueless, that he decided to end them right there and then.

He charged his blaster and shot. When he expected (Y/N) to be dead, he was bet woth (Y/N) safe and sound. They somehow summoned a energon shield.

Megatron was amazed and shocked. A human with the power to make an energon weapon? He has no words.

When he finally gets his grip back, he demands them how they did that. (Y/N) explained that they don't know what he is talking about but megatron ain't hearing about it.

He commands knockout and Shockwave to study (Y/N) and figure out how they summoned a sheild. When knockout and Shockwave did, they found out that (Y/N) is first time ever.

A hybrid. A human cybertronian hybird... how is that possible? Knockout and Shockwave look more into it, making sure they keep (Y/N) alive.

Megatron eventually tells them to stop and takes (Y/N). He demands them to join his cause and in exchange, he will teatch them about their cybertronian side.

(Y/N) with no choice, accepts. Though, (Y/N) has one thing that megatron dosent know about.

They have a phone, and they are sending messages to Raphael, who hacked her phone.

Okay but imagine if in TFP when Optimus loses his memory and becomes Orion, he's not automatically so trusting towards Megs?

Like how funny would it be if it went down:

Orion: Where are we, Megatronus?

Megatron: Don't you remember, old friend?

Orion: Evidently not, seeing as this isn't the Citadel. It looks like we're stuck in a cave... and don't you 'old friend' me, I shouldn't even be talking to you after what you said following that disastrous Council meeting...

Megatron: Wh-- what I said?!? Need I remind what you pulled when you decided to go off-script in front of said Council?

Orion: I had to do something, you were freaking them out!! Security would have kicked us to the curb if I didn't step in!

Megatron: I was heading a revolution, Orion; it would not have been the first time I've found myself thrown out on my aft by policemech!

Orion: Ah, you're right! How dare I imply you could ever be antagonistic on purpose?

Arcee: Uhh what is happening right now?

Orion: Are you sure it was your aft? Indeed, the culprit must lie with how frequently you've been tossed out onto your helm-- the dents have clearly scrambled your processor.

Megatron: Wow, disparaging my processor? Spoken like a true mid-caste! I always knew you had it in you, bravo!

Orion: Ugh, just tell me what mess you've gotten me into now?

Bulkhead: Um... Optimus?

Orion: Are you talking to me?

Bulkhead: Yeah I--

Megatron: -- Nevermind them. You know what your problem is??

Orion: Oh, please, enlighten me!!

I am alive and so is the game dev!!!

The first chapter of my fan-made TFP dating simulator "Earthbound '84" is SO close to being completed! It's been scripted and coded, now...it just needs to be drawn, AKA the other half of 'visual' novel 😁

Honestly, it's been a great time doing this and I hope for it to go live towards the end of September. In the meantime, if anyone would like to review the story aspects without the visual and play through it, feel free to reach out as a play-tester!

So what's your opinions about a very poorly TFP fan- film called Galvatron's Revenge? This was created after 10 years in making and it has some very controversial stuff last year. People are not liking it after it had finally released last friday

Setting aside the controversy of the whole affair for the sake of fair analysis, the production was a hot mess. Now, I will state this before I get into things. I have exactly nothing against the people who worked on the project (again, not talking about the controversy. I don't know these folks personally so I've got no beef). And honestly good on them for thugging it out and finishing the thing if only because I find that level of dedication noteworthy.

That said, I have exactly zero good things to say about the film. Normally I wouldn't get on the case of fans animating things on their own time and a limited budget. But this film had $8000 and TEN YEARS to work with. With that kind of time and effort, the guy who made the LEGENDARY Astartes short film all by himself could have made an entire series. With that budget the folks who made those banger stop motions with the TF models could make an entire Amazon funded TV series. I get that the folks working on it have lives and all that, but I've seen dedicated folks on twitter make better stuff in like, two weeks. The time and money were absolutely wasted on the film. I mean ten whole years and there was not even an increase in quality as the film progressed? I would be willing to have mercy if the film got better the longer you watched, evidencing the growth of the team working on it.

But it didn't. There were so many animation errors I wanted to die inside. None of the fights felt interesting and had no impact, especially with the pathetic hits. Every single character was brutalized and butchered (what the heck happened to Arcee and Ratchet???). Honesty I've seen better writing on Wattpad of all places. The plot was a crazy mess of unfinished concepts and half planned character arcs. Optimus was brought back for reasons??? There were some sort of weird racist undertones with the blue optic red optic nonsense. Too much exposition dumping in the middle of important scenes. The audio was horrific at best and soul crushing at worst. I think the only voice I liked was Ultra Magnus and maybe Galvatron. But still, it was stupidly hard to care when the writing made me want to beat my head against a wall.

I'm not claiming to be a pro, and I don't expect other fans to be masters of their craft. But come on guys. If the animation sucks, make the story good. Maybe the story made sense on paper at one point, but emotions of words do not transfer over well unless the animation and setting make sense and look decent. The whole thing was a nightmare and I would prefer to be forced to watch Beast Wars on repeat, if only so the frickin animation would be ever so slightly less painful to watch. The film desperately needed a script overall and at least two competent editors along with one half decent animator. Ten years and 8k is far too long and too much to come out with the dumpster fire we got.

Onyx Prime is one I have a semi complicated feeling towards.

The Prime of Beasts, and borrowing his name from an obscure Beast Wars character, he’s meant to explain why some Transformers have Beast Modes. It’s not … super clear if this includes the various Mechanimals like Laserbeak and Ravage, or Cyberverse’s various menagerie.

But presumably it does, as that would mean the deer bots seen in ONE are related to Onyx too, as they’re the only non Prime Beast Moded robot. ONE Airachnid’s toy gives her a space spider Beast Mode, but she only turns into a space helicopter Vehicle Mode in the film, so it’s unknown if she’s a Triple Changer or if her Beast Mode was an early script idea.

ONE Onyx, like Alchemist, Quintus, Micronus, Vector, Nexus, Prima, & Solus, doesn’t really get to do anything except die by the hands of Sentinel & the Quints. His Cog is donated to the main heroes, but who got it isn’t clear. I think Megatron did because of his beastly nature at that point, but I also think it fits Elita pretty well.

His design is a hybrid of his IDW and Aligned designs, taking more from the IDW design with the colors and beast kibble.

An interesting quirk is the ONE design borrows heavily from the semi confusion of his IDW design. Oynx is supposed to be a centaur, but IDW artists opted to have him stand on his hind legs, with his fore legs dangling awkwardly.

This would be turned into foreshadowing, to imply Oynx wasn’t what he seemed, revealing that he was actually Shockwave due to comic book time paradox reasons.

The awkward posture was due to Shockwave wearing Onyx’s corpse like a Pretender Shell, being unable to copy the original centaur look. Hilariously the ONE design foregoes the centaur look altogether, but nothing has clarified on if the centaur is his actual Beast Mode, or if he turns into a different creature in a BM Savage Noble fashion… His TFONE model implies he might Transform into a space dragon, or if we want to meet half way on the centaur idea, a space griffin.

As such, Onyx’s only major role has been IDW, and it technically wasn’t even him. The actual IDW Onyx was a kind shepherd who Shockwave killed after landing on prehistoric Cybertron following his failed Dark Cybertron scheme.

Pretending to be Onyx, Shockwave guaranteed events on Cybertron played out as he knew them to, as well as raising a Beast army (from all the Beast Wars characters in their most unflattering role) and securing the mysterious magical Talisman as part of a new scheme involving Unicron.

It’s always bothered me though that the one place Onyx would’ve fit well as a central antagonist would’ve been RiD15 because of it’s heavy use of animal type Decepticons. It would’ve made more sense if Oynx was the one orchestrating the crash of the prison ship, but Steeljaw makes Oynx’s mission his own: to turn Earth into a home world for Decepticons, rather than beast bots. Oynx isn’t exactly nice here either, causing problems for the Autobots, because he has a chip on his shoulder over vehicle type Transformers due to problems from his past. Something like that might’ve been better than hyping up The Fallen, causing the same problem TFP had by using Unicron too soon.

With the upcoming CyberWorld possibly returning to a RiD15 Beast theme with its Decepticons (while the Autobots remember they have more Dinobots besides Grimlock), maybe Onyx Prime has a role there?

Watched TF One, which led me to rewatch TFP, which led to this drawing of Optimus 💖 It’s my first full drawing of any transformer so it probably isn’t the *best* but I worked hard on it and I love it! I hope y’all do too.

The text is literally just “Optimus Prime” written in the cybertronian script I found on google. Any folks who know more about that, hit me up because I love learning about fictional writing systems 🫶🏻

KOBDSS or Platonic: TFP Knockout and Breakdown give Starscream consensual hypno-massage therapy... Knockout guides Starscream into a comforting trance with his voice, while Breakdown massages Starscream’s wings... Starscream slowly becomes more relaxed and happier as the days pass, which confuses the other Decepticons (except Soundwave, somehow he knows)! ⭐💫 

The first time Knockout brings up hypno therapy Starscream is very apprehensive. He doesn’t know the limits to that slag!

After some convincing from both Knockout and Breakdown, Starscream agrees.

Knockout schedules the session on a day that wouldn’t be busy so that the medbay would be quiet.

Breakdown settles the TIC into a medical berth while Knockout prepares whatever he needs for the session (soft towels, energon treats, soft music, ect.).

Starscream makes the lead medic promise not to make him do stupid things while he’s hypnotized.

Once KO starts the session, Breakdown is surprised that the commander is quiet and calm. He starts soft, just tracing the seeker’s wings and putting small amounts of pressure on Starscream’s wing bases.

Knockout reads from a script while he traces Starscream’s sharp digits, and the commander is in a sleepy trance.

Eventually, they wake him up from the trance and Starscream feels much more relaxed and comfortable in the medbay than before.

It took the whole solar cycle, so the commander goes back to his berth room to recharge. In the halls back to his habsuite, he bumps into a vehicon who was carrying an energon crate. Starscream doesn’t say anything but helps them with re-pack the cubes.

The next week, he gets all of the reports done on time and his productivity percentages have gone up by 20%.

The week after that, the plots to assassinate Megatron seemingly cease (and so do the beatings from Megatron).

He turns into the best commander and third in command that the Nemesis has ever seen.

KOBD is *not* a rarepair, but their TFA selves definitely seem to be. If they show up in fic they're always based on their TFP versions, but hear me out-

Autobot-by-forging Knock Out meets the Stunticons whilst they're posing as Autobot performers (based one of the comics and a live script reading, according to TFWiki). He's absolutely smitten with that one cute stunt driver, and gradually wins him over through natural charm and the fact that he's terrible at being an Autobot. Finding out that Breakdown is actually a Decepticon really doesn't bother him at all.

Ok so I know it’s an older post of yours but I found your G1 starscream lost in TFP and now I can’t stop thinking about him blatantly calling out TFP Megatron or saying his armada is better than TFP Starscream’s.

Also him and predaking genuinely getting along is such a fun idea. I was also wanting to ask how gets along with the humans of TFP because I feel like G1 approaches humans differently than TFP and would just flat out ignore them unless they actually hit him with something.

The main reason I made G1 starscream travel throught dimensions to fell into tfp was of him getting along with the decepticons of the nemesis war ship and to see the contrast between his reality and this one (in tfp they're not starving, they have nice things, a decent medbay, an almost real medic, and their war ship still functions, but almost everyone is dead, including starscream's wingmates and Soundwave family). I wanted to confront him with the crudeness of a bestial megatron and a poor mistreated and abused starscream (G1 Megatron is not like that and G1 Starscream is cynical and haughty).

I also want tfp Soundwave to make peace with the knowledge that his family is still alive somewhere in another dimension.

But!!! The real, real reason I made the comic (after the anon ask) was "baby" predaking 😆 I loved the idea of G1 starscream babysitting him. And he is now a fan of g1 starscream. At this stage he still does not know how to transform and he is like a newborn learning from the worst of the tutors, but the will learn, you'll see. And he will learn a great lot of things ���

And humans... Uhmm. To be honest I haven't thought about involving the humans yet, just the autobots.

But everything can happen now that I need to restart writting the script to continue with the story 😉

Honey bunches of Pit, yes!! Starscream looking absolutely fantastic in his crown with Shockwave and Soundwave in the background. You can almost hear Starscream demanding what the Pit ol' Buckethelm is doing back.

The Transformers: One Movie

I've been somewhat out of the loop due to limited energy levels for anything remotely social, but last Friday my brother Kevin had me take a closer look at the trailer for the new animated Transformers: One movie. On Twitter all I had seen of it was an animated .GIF of its title sequence which I shrugged off thinking that it was yet another Bay-like live action film (the only Transformers live action film that has earned my love is Bumblebee.)

This was my initial hyperactive fangirly reaction to the longer version of the trailer shared on Transformers 2005 which I wrote in reply to my brother Kevin, which is basically comprised of me squealing excitedly in capslock:

I am over the moon that this movie is all about Cybertron, and that just like in Earthspark we're going to see a kinder take on Megatron! (And yay Optimus as Orion Pax and the eternal badassery that is Elita-1.)

As usual, I'm bored to tears of seeing Bumblebee as a protagonist at this point and was disgruntled that he was acting like our beloved Rodimus, but my brother's spot on in what he replied, that unfortunately Bumblebee's just a fixture at this point. (He also admitted to Bumblebee fatigue.)

I'm not into certain aspects of the movie's design but I wasn't into Transformers: Prime initially either and now I'm utterly addicted to Transformers and write long winded fanfictions about it thanks to TFP having been my gateway drug. I'm extremely excited to see this film, and as for my disappointment over not seeing Starscream in the initial cut of the trailer that I watched, well, today I ran across this version!

And not only do we get a very droolworthy shot of our beloved screechy flyboy wearing his crown in this trailer, there's also this very brief shot of Skywarp being awesome!

I still have no idea who this green dude is (I might be derping from lack of sleep since I spent most of last night writing the climax and part of the denoumont of my fic Rise Up,) but maybe he's just a rando? Anyway, I'm super stoked, and I can't wait to watch this movie in theatres and support Transformers animation!

(The best way to tell the uncaring rich that we want more interesting Transformers movies like this one which don't follow the same rote script of Cybertronians arriving on Earth is by watching the films legally to support their creators!)

Looking over the trailer again, I have to say I actually like the faces now! And the style! I'm absolutely thriled to see Cybertron finally portrayed as a vibrant, beautiful world, complete with mechanimals!
