Earthspark would of been better with evil lovers in S1. We don't get pure evil married couples alot in shows and it ANNOYS ME cause I think mandroid x karen is genuinely cute. (I say to me and the 2 other shippers aka my friends because I yapped to them about it)

Like imagine if instead of trying to kill eachother they both actually worked together to try and defeat the Cybertronians. I feel like instead of the usual villain with a soft spot trope they would be perfect to not let their love get in the way of their moral values. They treat eachother how they treat everyone else around them, cruel but work so well together and that's the only thing keeping their marriage from falling apart.

Mandroid is the brains behind the entire plans and Karen is the face, she uses her charm to manipulate people and cybertronians while mandroid focuses on weapons to get rid of the species because he knows croft has everything under control.

There's also another version I like and that them being ex's/divorced and that's why even though they work together they try to kill eachother. Just very Spiteful ex's who are forced to work together to get a job done cause without eachother their plans are doomed. Mandroid needs the extra recourses from g.h.o.s.t and Karen needs the weapons from mandroid.

I also feel like they would of met in university but I'm unsure on what course they both would of taken. I could just think of them being fresh adults and she took him to a hot topic and saw spider themed stuff and that's where he got the idea of arachnimax from.

I honestly would draw ship art of them but I can't draw humans. Low-key scared of posting this ship but it's rotting my brain so just gotta hope I don't get attacked but as far as I know the earthspark fandom is pretty open when it comes to shipping and rarepairs.

I'm going to pitch some insane tfp starshock propaganda, if you consider it a rarepair, because they are an underrated duo (mentions of being more rivals, but gets better at the end)

I'm not sure if I'm phrasing this correctly, but in my opinion shockwave doesn't lack emotions completely. I'm not going to go deep in analysis, but here are my thoughts: he experiences them to a certain degree, but he puts logic on the first place and always runs his feelings through logic first before proceeding, and if they don't line up with the process of logic he's following, task he's challenged with or goal he's chasing, he simply does not obey nor express them.

Starscream, on the other hand, puts emotions on the first place, and may be carried away by them, sometimes putting himself in danger, but he doesn't lack logic completely. He wouldn't be alive if he wasn't cunning enough to avoid problems the whole time he's dancing on the blade. He's intellectual, he just uses this for his own wishes, he doesn't follow any ultimate plans

They are led by these traits, but what happens when they collide? They bring out the worst parts each hide. They bring out their preferred way of life in each other and it doesn't end good.

Starscream starts to depend on logic to understand shockwave's deep ways of reaching success. (He shows this by making the plan to destroy the Predacons and having Shockwave agree with it). Shockwave experiences all he's trying to suppress (the scene where he threatens Starscream, shoving and pinning him physically, obviously visually ready to attack him, admitting to feel vengefulness and be tempted by it, but retreating immediately when he receives a logical explanation is one of my fav interactions between them). Literally most of the times Shockwave admits to experience something are negative feelings towards Starscream, and most of Starscream's moments of genius planning are attempts to overtake Shockwave.

But they learn to work together anyways. Imagine them weaponising eachother's traits to come out as winners. They give each other what they lack and complete their duo. Instead of bringing out the worst, they start bringing out the best. And, like a puzzle, they agree to disagree properly and acknowledge the other's importance in planning.
