#tf2 medic headcanon

some people say medic tf2 would be a good father while others say he would be a terrible father but i strongly believe he would have a morticia addams style approach when it comes to parenting.

all of his children end up being frighteningly intelligent little hellspawns whose idea of playtime is terrorizing each other and everyone else around them while medic just enables their behaviour like in this scene where wednesday electrocutes pugsley.

i love the idea that medic is just a curious silly neurodivergent guy instead of just like,, a bad person. not to excuse his actions (hes messed up we all know this) but it would give a reason as to why he acts the way he does (besides something like "hes insane and crazy!!1! he doesnt care about anything or anyone!!!!") i dont think he as a character likes hurting people exactly, i think he likes gaining knowledge and in many ways unethical chaos is a bigger way to achieve that than traditional practices. i like this complex character idea more. and to be fair, i partly just hyperfixate on him and it makes me sad to think of him as a simple villain, so this idea is awesome nonetheless

I’d like to think Medic is one goofy man, that’s all, his insanity is just silliness fr. But being serious, Medic is so neurodivergent coded. He doesn’t had so many friends in his life, much because his excentricity and total weirdness so he would be more into sociallizating with animals. More with birds. In MtM we can see how he cassually talks to Archimedes. More than a pet he was his friend and closest living being to him. If someone told me that this man can sumerge into an intese talk with his birds I would totally belive it. So, when he gets excited and infodump about ‘x’ thing he has the constant feeling thats its annoying and he tends to close up later. BUT HEAVY, the man always listen to him talking nonsense and Heavy just find that delightful.

he pretends to be unintrested and quiet but he is actually secretly listening to everybody else's business, and since his grasp on english is not that strong some members on the team aren't as worried of him overhearing things,

than at the end of the day he goes to the med bay and reports all his findings to medic and the two of them just gossip together while medic performs surgery on heavy until the sun goes down
