In the aftermath, the Autobots are scattered, and while they represent a lot of firepower, they're only a few straggling individuals under the dubiously dynamic leadership of Ultra Magnus.

Megatron, recognising that the Quintessons arrived expecting to fight cybertronians — inorganic titans of low population density and absurdly long lifespans, rigid in their programming and often inflexible in their characters — sidesteps acknowledging the remaining Autobots and brokers a devil's alliance with Fowler instead.

Our fic opens at the first emergency tele-meeting of the recently-convened United Council for Responsive Earth Defence (U-CRED), featuring military leadership from major powers across the planet as well as Megatron, Starscream and Ultra Magnus.

personally i feel like it's not hard at all to denounce a genocidal regime even if you are living within said genocidal regime. in fact id even argue sometimes, when able, it's your responsibility to do so and have a voice for those that are being oppressed by (both within and outside of) the genocidal regime and therefore unable to safely speak up themselves. im native to the country i live in but i would denounce and have denounced them in a heartbeat for the horrific crimes they've committed and assisted in. because i am not my country's government/military/political force. i might not have a voice with massive sway, but i still have a voice.
