the post about tf egg sizes made me do a quick search, it seems the biggest (dino) eggs ever found are around 2 feet across. which is like huge but also a reasonable size for tf eggs i think? Like they dont even have to be that big, maybe they lay ostrich sized eggs. Which would be cute cos either of those sizes mean the newly hatched sparklings are pretty small :>

Tiny sparklings are fun for so many things like these big bots having to be so careful with their tiny bitlets. The tiny furniture they would have for them. Makes you wonder if they have gaps in their plating that act as pouches to carry the bitlets in. And it would also explain why they are so good at handling humans which are so small compared to them

Also means the sparklings are actually small enough for humans to care for like children haha like whether this is about human friends or romantic partners or anything really. Human friends who will babysit the sparklings. Humans who bring their children to base cos they know the bots know how to handle something that size. Human and tf children being playmates

Thinking about that one scenario where a mech lays his eggs in some poor human's car and the human keeps coming back to check and kind of adopts this whole weird family. Cos i think thats cute actually waa when the mech ends up living in the human's garage and their sparklings are actually small enough to run around in the house. The human always acts like its a nuisance but they also buy all these little things for the sparklings, like those lil houses and cars and stuff for kids to crawl through and play in

Ooooh the thought of Kiburi being cursed is really interesting. I don’t know much about curses in African folklore but apparently a lot of them result in death. I don’t want Kiburi to die anytime soon so maybe I’d go with “The Death Bones of Shangaan” where anyone who comes into contact with said bones gets plagued by bad luck and illness.

Oh, Nettles really has been cut this season and everything points towards her being cut entirely. Mostly because Condal refuses to discuss her at all in interviews while he doesn’t do that with Daeron, Maelor, or any other yet unseen book character. There’s also very, very strong evidence of Rhaena claiming Sheepstealer this season.

Ryan went out of his way to expand upon other dragonseeds such as Addam, Alyn, Hugh, and Ulf this season while Nettles is a no show.

Why give a character no development, steal her dragon, steal every detail that makes her compelling, and then randomly plop her into season 3 with an immediate romance with Daemon ?

Ryan is also doing something every different with Nettles in interviews than he did with Daeron. When people ask when Daeron will show up, he has always been consistent that Daeron existed and would be apart of the show at some point. He’s even willing to talk about Maelor who hasn’t showed up yet either. When he gets asked about Nettles, he straight up ignores the question and changes topics.

I agree, Nettles doesn't seem to be real in HotD. Which, you know, tells us something abt how some people don't understand Nettles' narrative importance both in the controversy over Rhaenyra--whether or not she sought to arrest her merely to allay her own paranoia over the Dragonseeds after Ulf and Hugh's Betrayals/Tumbleton, or whether she merely sought to question her, or whether she truly thought Nettles was a witch who seduced Daemon as Septon Eustace claims--OR in her paralleling & reaffirming Daenerys Stormborn. Rhaena can't occupy that role, at all.

Rhaena's Daemon's trueborn daughter, has been a part for Rhaenyra's household and family for years already (trust is already there), was waiting on Morning to hatch, and was never with Daemon at Maidenpool but at the Vale. So what will induce Daemon to meet Aemond-Vhagar sooner rather than later?

They already co-opted so much from the supposedly "Mad" Daenerys for Rhaenyra and the greens. Misogynoir is baked into this project, and no, that Rhaena's own unique storyline is tweaked the way it seems it's going, it's still misogynoir for her as well: POST #1 & POST#2.

So... none of the eggs Rhaena leaves with are Morning. They actually confirmed they're Dany's three eggs and a blue one for Viserys. So if they truly do combine Rhaena with Nettles, how tf are they going to pull that off without it being crazy stupid or misogynistic? The council's whole justification was "she has no ties to our cause, we don't know her, and we don't know if she's been working with the Betrayers the whole time. If one more rider defects to the Greens it's over." None of those apply to Rhaena. So what, instead of the council pushing for strategic reasons, Rhaenyra's going to turn into a ranting raving evil stepmother that the men try to reason with and everyone can laugh about how she's worse than Alicent? Or will it be another "misunderstanding" in which case, why would Daemon ever believe she would order it? Does this mean that Rhaena will have a MASSIVE dragon? If she flees Rhaenyra specifically, why would Aegon risk killing Rhaenyra and bringing Rhaena out of hiding? Why would the war not immediately be over the moment Rhaenyra and Sunfyre die and Rhaena has the last huge dragon? The whole point of the dance is that targaryens and their women were left vulnerable. How is that still true if instead of a hatchling, she has a dragon big enough that she and Caraxes were seen as enough to take down Vhagar? Big enough for her and Baela to say, "fuck you. We're Aegon's regents."

What do you think about eggs? I mean...bots are aliens, who says that they have to exclusively give birth like humans do? The idea of a bot struggling to lay a massive egg, knowing its not the only one, does something to me...regardless of if the egg is fertilized or is a dud (kinda like chickens lol).

What about oviposition? A bot laying their eggs into another bot (or person, idk) cause they can't be bothered to lay them themselves or something like that (or maybe as a way of sexy punishing). They would still be a horny menace, with bulging bellies, tits full of milk and a raging need for more fluid lol.

I LOVE EGGS. i have a whole thing worked out and written out about how transformers eggpreg works, down to strange alien practices. i have had many conversations on here about valve ovipositors and egg laying. the hatchlings from the second transformers live action movie are literally what piqued my interest about transformers as a franchise i can potentionally get into. first ever tf fanfic i wrote was about bayverse starscream laying those hatchlings for megatron... i am a freak for eggs.

But what if.. they often do superior talks and gossip in the afternoon about the latest nosk drama and whatever nosks talk about.. other than murder, blood and to probably brag about the recent 1 kg morsel they snatched from a nosk hatchling (it was weak btw for being 1 day old. Not very noskly of you 🍅🍅🍅 that is so zotey NOT ✨️NOSKLY✨️).

i would also like to imagine that they all have offspring so it's something they will brag and talk because imagine having offspring to kill you and to take your place, that is so noskly!! *+1 nosk approval*

Imagine zote's mom being in the part of the group talking about nosk gossip, drama, lame superior bragging stuff and murder.

And then one of the superiors would start to brag how their offspring will kill them someday and to take their place as a superior to continue the bloodline and stuff whatever about their nosk offspring they have with their mates they held in gunpoint to mate with them (its orders from your superior, procreate with me now). Something about the superiors being described as "winged feral women (mostly)" has opened my eyes to how silly they sound as a concept. i mean you're not wrong. that is in fact what the superiors are. but that's making me giggle

As for superior gossip oh yes I like to think so. I've had in my brain that they have regular meetings to discuss Stuff and Things, and shittalking their fellow denmates is probably something that happens. A Lot. "I hate that weakling donning mask of gruzzer I think I should slaughter them posthaste" and everyone nods along like yeess queen slay.

BUT AS FOR THE REST OF YOUR ASK. Ohh man.

The thing is, Zote's Mom is... scary. She's violent, she's cold, and she earned her place as a superior for a reason. She's very Strong and Not Afraid to murder. Lower-ranked nosks know to stay out of her way, and the other superiors. Well.

I think when Zote was hatched and was kept alive by his father, any scrutiny held for his Mother would be kept secret. If the other superiors thought it reflected poorly on her for letting her mate do what he did - which they absolutely would - they would Not be stupid enough to say so to her face unless they wished to die.

Because like. She would kill them. A superior would be like "Sharp in claw but dull in mind, it would seem. You allow your mate to keep that wretched spawn alive, and for what purpose? Is it trust you harbor, or affection?" and in response Mama would, in fact, kill them in front of the entire den

So any teasing done on Mama would have to be quiet. Discrete. Just between the other superiors. Should she hear them even snicker amongst themselves she would rear her head in like "Idiot says what?" and claw the throat out of the first one to respond

Outside of that she would absolutely deny Zote was ever her offspring, though! Weakest cringefail bitch in the den does NOT belong to me, I did not birth that thing, and I did not choose his equally cringefail father (that last part is also a lie of course).

And as for Dad. well they can make fun of him as much as they want. He's not a superior, he can't fight back without dying, and Mama won't stick up for him. They could kill him if they wanted to and she wouldn't do a damn thing

Bayverse definitely iconic specially bayverse is the first live action transformers even many flaws(that something hater can't argue)

But concept Allspark just got destroyed is something really got hate from fans self, I meant in films Cybertron existence by two way (we ignore quintensee in last knights because the concept it's confusing) Allspark energy in machine and hatchling.

And they like literally said Allspark is energy and cube is just vessel , and energy can't just gone. But I think something very fatal is that in tf1 the cube didn't allowed touch by human skin, we saw when Bumblebee give Sam cube Sam immediately using his jacket to warping it but then when he somehow active cube to destroy Megatron. How he active the cube and why he not getting radiation from it?

No seriously in tf2 sam got vision after he touches piece of cube but in tf 1 sam look fine after he touches it by his bare hands , is that weird?

I can get why it would make fans mad but also it could have been such a good turning point if the writers could go beyond just constant war, like the movies I felt suffered because it didn’t seem like they could write beyond the war which is something we’ve seen in the animated series

Like live action movies just can’t escape the war cycle because the war creates easy action scenarios to engage viewers

you could see it as it was only with a simultaneous cybertronian dna signature (Sam putting it to Megatron) it activated but in its damaged state it could activate to self preserve with any dna signature like sams which it keyed to when it activated in Megatrons chest

Sam being some guy to then evolve further with his “destiny” stuff is always just a fun to do like Sky’s the limit with a character like sam

So following up on an earlier side tangent in the topic regarding TF villains, here’s a little ramble on EarthSpark’s curious handling of Cybertron.

Hasbro is repeatedly said to be in dire straights, so it’s currently unknown how much longer EarthSpark will go on for. A second season WAS green lit prior to recent hoopla, but it’s unclear atm if it’ll go beyond that. They might be waiting to see if Rise of the Beasts makes bank or not, so uh, brace yourselves if that doesn’t happen. Anyhoo, the show seems content to string along certain mysteries like the Allspark and Cybertron, and like with Rise of the TMNT, they might be partially hoping to have plenty of time to flesh these concepts out. And if they don’t… well…

The main bugbear is the fate of all Transformers. The Earth bound TFs seem to believe they’re practically near extinction, they’re the only ones left, etc. This is … debatable. EarthSpark is using (now semi unpopular) modern concepts, so it stands to reason for one that COLONY WORLDS exist. They even reference Quintus Prime in particular doing this to rationalize the Terrans, so surely colonies like Velocitron, Caminus, Animatros, Gigantion, Dinosaur and the like are out there with thriving Populations. The only work around, besides lack of communication, I see is the Decepticons decimated most if not all Colonies in the war, similar to what happened in Cyberverse. (Boy Cyberverse really had a bloodlust. Methinks they wanted to be mature but just came off as childish like WFC….)

There’s also Cybertron itself. The show explains, similar to the movies, Prime and Cyberverse, that removing the Allspark ceased life functions on the planet. Like Animated and the like, the Allspark was seemingly chucked into the Space Bridge to parts unknown dooming the species to extinction. The Earthbound Transformers kinda rightfully assume everyone is dead, but Prime, Cyberverse and WFC throw a huge wrench in that.

Here’s the thing. The franchise has been kinda … flighty about reproduction. The Allspark is treated as the source of life, but aforementioned Colonies clearly don’t require it to expand their populations, the movies show Hatchling Transformers still being born, they just require steady Energon, while Animated cheats the concept entirely by having Vector Sigma as a back up life support system. In Prime, species like the Scraplets and Insecticons are shown to be living on the dead planet just fine. In Cyberverse, lush technorganic forests are still thriving complete with Cybertronic animals and a tribe of primitive Monsterbots eking out an existence perfectly fine in the four million years the Ark was on Earth. There’s also WFC…. Somehow, in the complete absence of the Allspark and Cybertron functionally dead, the Maximals and Predacons evolved from the survivors of the Great War, and repopulated and restarted the planet… Even the Maximals remark retrieving the Allspark seems unnecessary since they can survive without it. You see the problem here? The Transformers clearly aren’t that worse off in most cases without the Allspark. If anything the species chugs along and thrives just fine without it. That’s why it feels… off in EarthSpark. There’s no reason why the Decepticons couldn’t just use the Emberstone in the Allspark’s place to do make more soldiers like they intended to, and ergo repopulate Cybertron. That it so far hasn’t crossed their minds is kind of mind boggling since they’re aware of the stone now. Similarly because of the aforementioned examples, the remaining Transformers are probably doing just fine. Even Armada shows the Transformers thriving in their war despite Cybertron having been reduced to a junk yard, and this concept is taken further with Combatron, the semi lost Apocalypse Planet from Galaxy Force, and the Transformers there survived everything they threw at each other. Similarly, with the context we have, there’s little reason why a second or third season couldn’t have Cybertron bound Decepticons reopen the Space Bridge to see what’s going on and resume conquering Earth. Because of the IDW references, Overlord and/or Tarn would probably fit the best as the new Decepticon leader as well as having the right amount of history to be a thorn in the repentant Megatron’s side. Could even go the extra mile and reinterpret the Scavengers as an advance team to scout out Earth, only to be completely gobsmacked by Megatron and switch sides to be with him because they idolize him, lol. Misfire’d probably be good with the human kids and Jawbreaker in particular lol. If they wanted to reference Kingdom and have synergy with RotB, albeit in a Beast Machines slant, Beast Wars Megatron could be the Decepticon that’s leading Cybertron and checking up to see what his namesake is up to, with Optimus Primal’s Autobots not far behind. (I don’t actually know if they’d use the Maximal and Predacon faction names, especially with Tarantulus as a Decepticon).

Certainly depends on the story direction, but all previous stories never have Cybertron as a semi functional dead husk for very long…

Why Am I The Last To Notice That Soundwave (from EarthSpark) Has Large-Hips...?

I can’t help but have the word “Mom-Hips” pop into my head when finally noticing how large Soundwave’s (from EarthSpark) hips are....

okay even though not everyone who has such large hips, will automatically be a “Mom” but after seeing some fan art of Soundwave from EarthSpark, and then I had to double check from a image of Soundwave from the show to see if his hips are in fact like that........and well, it seems to be true.

why is it I’m the last one to finally notice this, even if I did see the episode but this....oh my gosh, the whole “Mom-Hips” comes to mind and I know that is just me being weird, and well I can’t help but view TFA-Soudwave as not being 100% the same as the Original Soundwaves like from TF-G1, TFP and even Earthspark, because TFA-Soundwave is more of a Soundwave Jr. to me now, like Soundwave Sr. could be like a Dad figure to him....

wouldn’t be surprised if Megatron based Soundwave Jr. on a Decepticon he use to know who had the same name as him, like some of Soundwave Jr.’s blueprint designs being based on the Original Soundwave, and the Original one could look like a TFA version of the Soundwave from TFP...

well Soundwave from TF-G1 and TF-Earthspark, is technically Frenzy, Rumble, Laserbeak and Ravage’s Dad/Sire...

and given how the IDW had made Scorponok the whole Fanon “Carrier” into Canon....

a Caretaker in theory, is the Sire/Dad or Carer/Mom who takes care of the young ones, like the hatchlings or cassettes.

while their life-partner is off at work, and if they both have work, then the Caretaker will find someone to babysit, but they are still the Caretaker.

no matter if they are the Mentor, Sire or Carer.

I once read a fic that basically had sparklings be omnivorous horseshoe crabs who'd eat anything, including other mechs, to get the necessary materials for growth.

So I'm kinda into the idea of sparklings as things that might haunt a normal person's nightmares! The bots are all cooing over how cute it is but the humans are going get it the fuck away from me.

Especially considering it could easily kill a human by just curiously poking at them.

So. Cybertronians have large litters. 15-20 are the normal amount. The thing is, sparklings are very prone to dying. The parent(s) only ever really get involved in protecting them from other bots and providing the occasional energon.

Sparklings are not intelligent. They're basically only thinking about fuel and growing. So they get into accidents and die. Get eaten by wildlife. Randomly die because something was wrong from the start.

At the end of this "infant" period, when they've developed enough, it's like a switch is flipped. They start to notice the world around them. Start to think.

It's also at this point the parents' instincts tells them to seek out their surviving offspring, who'll likely only number 1-2. They locate them with the help of special sounds, resembling no other common sound.

Now they'll be properly taken care of and loved.

That's always a fascinating approach, because you always gotta wonder how as their species advances they approach this, as it makes sense as a species they'd eventually try to lessen infant mortality rate. After all, humans did that right?? And in general it makes sense that sparklings are born in cities they're less likely to run into wildlife. Unless there's some sort of ~thing~ about carriers stepping out of the city to have their sparklings??

So... none of the eggs Rhaena leaves with are Morning. They actually confirmed they're Dany's three eggs and a blue one for Viserys. So if they truly do combine Rhaena with Nettles, how tf are they going to pull that off without it being crazy stupid or misogynistic? The council's whole justification was "she has no ties to our cause, we don't know her, and we don't know if she's been working with the Betrayers the whole time. If one more rider defects to the Greens it's over."

None of those apply to Rhaena. So what, instead of the council pushing for strategic reasons, Rhaenyra's going to turn into a ranting raving evil stepmother that the men try to reason with and everyone can laugh about how she's worse than Alicent? Or will it be another "misunderstanding" in which case, why would Daemon ever believe she would order it?

Does this mean that Rhaena will have a MASSIVE dragon? If she flees Rhaenyra specifically, why would Aegon risk killing Rhaenyra and bringing Rhaena out of hiding? Why would the war not immediately be over the moment Rhaenyra and Sunfyre die and Rhaena has the last huge dragon? The whole point of the dance is that targaryens and their women were left vulnerable. How is that still true if instead of a hatchling, she has a dragon big enough that she and Caraxes were seen as enough to take down Vhagar? Big enough for her and Baela to say, "fuck you. We're Aegon's regents."

And if they aren't merging her with Nettles... why no Morning egg?

Didn't watch the episode. Still haven't watched the 3rd one. I also pointed out similar stuff you did in a previous post. didn't emphasize how Rhaenyra could become a crazy evil stepmom that Alicent was closest to or how the council turns on Nettles and Addam specifically, though, nice catch. I haven't been keeping up with al the leaks, pictures of eggs, etc., I don't even know about there being a 4th egg. Do they mention/show Stormcloud?

Either way, you bring up very valid concerns, and more reason why Rhaena and Nettles can never be merged storyline wise even for production costs bc it all just falls apart. Be creative--which is your job--and MAKE it work. But you know, this is a marketing project, not a story or a faithful adaptation.

Yeah, no idea why they didn't let Toothless have an actual plan from the start in the final version of the film and clearly show it. Instead, in the final version we get to see him order his flock (including hatchlings) into cages because that will surely help while "biding his time until there's a better plan" or whatever.

Bayverse definitely iconic specially bayverse is the first live action transformers even many flaws(that something hater can't argue)

But concept Allspark just got destroyed is something really got hate from fans self, I meant in films Cybertron existence by two way (we ignore quetensee in last knights because the concept it's confusing) Allspark energy in machine and hatchling.

And they like literally said Allspark is energy and cube is just vessel , and energy can't just gone. But I think something very fatal is that in tf1 the cube didn't allowed touch by human skin, we saw when Bumblebee give Sam cube Sam immediately using his jacket to warping it but then when he somehow active cube to destroy Megatron. How he active the cube and why he not getting radiation from it?

No seriously in tf2 sam got vision after he touches piece of cube but in tf 1 sam look fine after he touches it by his bare hands , is that weird?

Yeah! For a franchise on its own it holds up pretty well if flawed, but against the actual, bigger transformers franchise the issues become so much more obvious. A surface level watching is good enough, and it's very enjoyable, those special effects are just *chefs kiss* so fun to watch! I liked the first movies best on that front, the amount of detail that went into the designs is incredible!

But yeah, the destruction of the Allspark is something they really didn't work through properly, they make all that talk about energy and then it just sort of dissipates into the ether except when a shard can be plot relevant lol. Not even touching on Quintessa XD. Her wiki page is just wild.

Asdfghjkl I hadn't actually noticed that, but you're right, they made such a fuss about Allspark radiation and how the shards affected Sam, but it's very inconsistent! I guess the radiation they hid with the hoover dam wasn't very harmful but could be detected by cybertronians, which they wanted to avoid. And maybe Sam just needed that little bit extra exposure or time with the shard to trigger the visions? Idk.

AND THEN THEY KILLED HIM OFF SCREEN. Like I get why mikala had to leave, it was a contract issue with the actress, but they really did just kill the protagonist off screen between movies and not really mention it. He had such potential with his story, but tbf I don't think Bay would have used it even if he didn't kill him off. Bayverse doesn't get very deep.

I had to look up Sari, but she's cute, a very interesting concept for sure! I do like the dichotomy between the squishy humans and big metal cybertronians, there's so much to be done with the difference!
