Last night I had the esteemed pleasure of an intimate media dinner with fellow influencers to celebrate the First Barrel Release of the new Still Austin Whiskey Bourbon. What a treat! You can experience it too on May 11th when it will be released to the public at their release party. You'll also notice the bottle revamps where they are using local Austin artists for some very cool label art. My favorite cocktail of the night was the Manhattan. Happy Friday! Last night we got to see the plans that @infinite_chimp has for their new Austin digs and it will really seal them in as true Austinites! You will see why in my post about it! Before going there I went and had my first #danshamburgers in like 20 years. Do you know the dan Fran story and have you been to @dansburgers? My family and I have big plans this weekend to hang out at the @atxlights with our zip passes so we can show YOU all the extras you can get with them! I absolutely adore Texas! The weather, the swimming holes, the southern charm with its own form of culture, and the history... man I love Texas history and small towns. But I hail from Louisiana near Baton Rouge and although I love Texas (particularly Central Texas), I absolutely adore New Orleans with its rich and diverse culture, food, eclectic art scene and most of all its history and culinary scene. I love taking city tours and chatting with other locals there and it makes my heart sing when people try my recommendations and love them. Right now one of my favorite fellow bloggers is in #nola for the @tales_of_the_cocktail.
