“Gorgeous” Genzō Wakayama, at first glance, looked like most of the other men in the room. That is until Shepard’s eye had been caught by the huge Texan-style belt buckle decorating his waist. As if that wasn’t showy enough, there was some kind of design on it too. Shepard had spent half a year living in the Lone Star state, and so was expecting the buckle to be engraved with stars, or a flag, or maybe the broad horns of a steer. But this was Japan, and no cowboy would dream of this dazzling wonder. Genzō’s enormous buckle had a picture of his own face, winking and holding up two fingers in a peace sign. When he saw Shepard looking, he copied the pose exactly.

Jaguars leave London with a win over the Patriots.

If there was a Loser Bowl, this would be it. 

New England flew to London to play the Jacksonville Jaguars, who, coming into this game, are by far the worst teas in the league this season, both at 1-5. However, the Patriots have some momentum in that game as rookie quarterback Drake Maye starts his second game. He threw 3 touchdowns in his first start last week vs. the Houston Texans. 

After the New England Patriots got off to a hot start, leading the Jacksonville Jaguars 10-0, with Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye throwing a connecting to running back JaMycal Hasty for a 16-yard score, and Joey Slye's 41 yards field goal, The Jaguars outscored the Patriots 32-6, winning with a score 32-16.

Jaguars were without starting running back Travis Etienne; running back Tanks Bigsby filled the void, rushing for 118 yards on 26 carries and 2 touchdowns, and while Bigbsy needed rest, running back D'Ernest Johnson recorded 12 touches for 70 total yards. Rookie wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. hauled in 5 catches for 89 yards and a touchdown.

Jacksonville scored 22 points in the second quarter, including a 97-yard punt return touchdown by kick returner Parker Washington, putting Jacksonville up 22-10 at halftime. This was the longest punt return for a touchdown in Jaguars franchise history. 

Patriots quarterback Drake Maye finished with 276 yards, completing 26 of his 37 pass attempts and 2 touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to secure the Patriots' win.

Rushing game issues continue for the Patriots, only rushing for a mere 38 yards, averaging 2.5 yards per carry. One of the more significant issues for New England.

To add insult to injury, The New England Patriots have endured their first 6 games losing streak for the first time since 1993. 

As both teams head back to the States, The New England Patriots are 1-6 and host the subpar New York Jets, while the Jacksonville Jaguars fly back home to carry any momentum from this game at 2-5  and host the Green Bay Packers.

01/03/2023 NFL UPDATES

My predictions for last week’s games: (10-5) and forgot to pick for the Bills/Bengals game. This is very Ironic because this game was suspended because there was a very sad event that happened during the game and it was postponed. Bills Safety Damar Hamlin was hit really hard in the chest causing him to go into cardiac arrest. I have never seen anything like this and I was watching it live on TV. They were giving him CPR on the field while he was down for about 10 minutes. They finally got him off the field and to the hospital where his vitals are back to normal but he is still very much in critical condition. The entire NFL community and more have him and his family in our prayers.

Last weeks big games that I brought up did NOT disappoint. The 49ers vs Raiders game was a nail bitter and closer than I anticipated but the 49ers came out on top. So now the Raiders have been fully eliminated from the Playoffs but the 49ers now have a chance to get the #1 seed if they win this week and the Eagles lose. The Packers and Vikings was very one sided, the Packers ran all over the Vikings and came out victorious so they now have a chance to get into the playoffs.

Right now for the AFC the teams that are in the hunt and have a chance of playoffs if they win are the (Dolphins, Steelers & Titans)

For the NFC on the other hand there are only 2 teams in the hunt the (Lions & Packers).

10/27 1:00 game slate

Just to start things off, todays early game slate may have been the most entertaining 1 o'clock slate of the season so far with 6-8 games being decided by one score (8-6 points or less). Now the other 2 games... were blow outs but we will get to that. We also had 3 divisional games today.

Eagles vs. Bengals was the battle of the indentical twins, Chase and Sydney Brown and Sydney and his Eagles overpowered the Bengals in a 37-17 win.

We had an AFC North divisional matchup today between the Browns, who lost their starting quarterback last week in Deshawn Watson, but who may have found their new one in Jameis Winston, and the reigning 2023 MVP Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. In a shocking final score the bottom of the division Browns beat the not anymore top of the division Ravens 29-24.

The Lions, whose quarterback Jared Goff who continues to have another week where he throws less incompletions than the team had touchdowns, absolutely rolled over a struggling Titans team who just traded away their best reciever for pretty much a bag of chips and a high-five (a 5th round pick that can become a 4th) the the 6-0 Chiefs out of all teams. The final was 52-14.

The Cardinals beat the Dolphins on Tua's welcome back from his concussion on a 1 second left game winning field goal 28-27.

The Jets' Aaron Rodgers and long time reciever Davante Adams still can not do enough to pull off a win and they lose to the Patriots 25-22 who lost their starting rookie quaterback during the game due to a hand injury.

In an NFC South divisional game the Falcons defeated the Buccaneers 31-26 being carried on the backs of the Falcons runningback, Bijan Robinson, tight end Kyle Pitts and reciever Darnell Mooney who combined for a total of 63 rushing yards (just Bijan), 220 recieveing yards and 4 touchdowns.

The Packers faced the Jaguars in the Jaguars first game in America since the 6th of Octobor. The Packers ultimately won in a last second field goal. Final 30-27.

In the last divisonal matchup of the 1 o'clock games the AFC South's Colts faced the Texans. Colts quarterback is still struggling and only completed 10 of his 32 passing attemps today while accumulting for 175 yards. 4 of those completions where to Josh Downs who had 109 yards and a touchdown but it still wasnt enough. The Colts were defeated 20-23

Now to the best team in the AFC North, the one and only Pittsburgh Steelers. We play prime time tomorrow at the beautiful Acrisure Stadium against the Giants (💩) at 8:15 to end off week 8 and it should be an easy win. Anyways... it's always HERE WE GO and GO STEELERS!!

12/29/2022 NFL Updates!

It is Week 17 of the NFL and tonight 12/29/2022 is the Thursday night game. There are 2 weeks until the playoffs and only 8 teams have been eliminated. These teams are the Texans, Bears, Cardinals, Broncos, Colts, Falcons, Rams & Browns. This means there are still plenty of teams in the hunt.

Now moving on to one of the games that I find personally interesting is the game between the 49ers vs the raiders, which is also called “battle of the bay”. Some of the other games are Bills vs Bengals & Packers vs Vikings. Being from the Bay Area and a huge 49ers fan, some big news for this week's game versus the Raiders is that Derek Carr will be benched. Some things that come to my head instantly are, “will the raiders lose their locker?” Meaning “are all of the players going to stop caring or trying?” One of the biggest concerns and questions is, “if the Raiders send Carr away does that mean Davante Adams will stay or leave? If so, where is he going?” This will be a huge offseason for the Raiders which will be even bigger than last offseason. Carr has been on the Raiders team since 2014, he has been the only somewhat stable player for the Raiders and since they are moving away from him you start to wonder what their next move will be. I do predict this game will be a blowout and the 49ers will send the Raiders home with a lot to think about. The 49ers on the other hand, if they win and some of their other games go in their favor they will either stay in 3rd place or move up in the NFC (National Football Conference). This week they were considered the NFL's number One Power Ranking Team, so let's see if they can live up to that hype. 

Two games that will be even more interesting are the Bills vs Bengals & Packers vs Vikings. The Bills hold the #1 spot in the AFC (American Football Conference) while the Bengals hold the #3 spot. If the Bills do happen to lose this game it is likely they lose the #1 spot and the Chiefs take it. Whereas, If the Bills do win then there is a good chance that the Bengals lose there #3 spot and move into the Wildcard. This is a similar scenario for the Packers vs Vikings game but if Green Bay loses they no longer have a chance at the playoffs!
