Another test knit complete! The Royale pullover by @tashacouldmakethat is being released today, and it’s another winner! WIP - Crofter's Mittens by Annelie Verbrugge

A testknit, which is a first for me. But I saw these mittens and heard Annelie say something along the lines of: I like a mitten that has a tighter fit. That and the fact that it has a thumb gusset and I was sold. I'm so here for it. Quick and fun, and the way the pattern works out with the decreases and increases is just *chef's kiss*.

(Will be released on the 1th of October over at Nordic Knitting Society (in the Season club I think?), but eventually they're usually also released on Ravelry. It's one of those licence time period thing? If I sound unsure, it's because I am...)

I had plans to go out, get some yarn for this, dye it up in a variegated blue colorway and then knit them up for a gift for my sister. But euhm... The deadline was two weeks (which seems fair for these if you already have yarn ect cuz they're so fast to knit up) so... No way I had time for all that! But you can never have too many mittens! So I'll just knit two pairs ^^

I helped facilitate two workshops back in october/november last year, one of them on the topic of knitting with scrap yarn.

I wore a vest i knit back in 2021, and people really wanted to knit it themselves. In between everything that has been going on, I decided to sit down and write up a pattern.

Why not? I thought, it'll be fun.

Fast forward a couple of months, some very serious contemplations about sizing and fit, some calculations, and deciding on a visual language that I can stand, lo and behold, the pattern has been written.

We'll ask one of the regulars, if she would like to testknit the pattern (she wanted to knit it at the workshop), and one of the other participants as well. E is going to double check the numbers, and I'm slightly nervous to hear back from them.
