Not 100% dry yet, but it's sleeve shaped now!

Bound off the first sleeve on the Crush Sweater! Definitely needs a good block, holy crow! Also, I cannot get the color on this thing to photograph accurately, it's a much warmer green in person.

Something old Something new
Sleeves for a sweater that's been hibernating. The grey box in the pattern is...purl, not "no stitch" like recent lace projects. My brain knows this but my hands keep ignoring it.

Blocking your knitting is always such a process but so 100% worth it!

I do really need to get appropriate pins though, ones that I can actually see and find.... Hopefully I won't be finding any with my feet!

The world is on fire, but I will still make nice things for the people I care about because we must still have our small moments of joy.

Learned how to ladder down today and I gotta say that's one hella useful knitting skill. I messed up 3 stitches a few rows ago. Caught one and fixed it immediately. Didn't notice the other two until later.
Watched a video on how to ladder down because I'd heard it was possible but I didn't know anything about it. Less than 5 minutes and I had my knitting fixed and was back to working on the scarf. I am so pleased.
Also I think the yarn looks so pretty today. Not even half left at this point I think. I just looked over and thought it looked cool.

I just found the most amazing knitting pattern for a dragon plushie. The dragon is beautiful and the entire pattern has videos showing how it is made, absolutely amazing.

Just look at it! It is so beautiful

The little wings!

The toenails on this one omg

And it seems relatively easy to do- at least the process is incredibly well explained from what I have seen, with a written pattern and videos. Anyway, it is insane, the videos don't have as many views as you would think, and there were so many dragons. I probably put in too many photos on this post but I love them all so much. I am going to make this the second I can- unfortunately I don't think this is a "do in class as a stim" project.

I'm working on a fun new pattern using a fabric that's made of i-cords.

I've made a full sample so far out of Knit Collage yarn Left over from a class that I did with them. I love their funky, chunky art yarns, but struggled for years to figure out an accessory design that works with them.

The issue with using really thick yarn is yardage. Any stitch that you do is going to eat up a ton of yarn. With luxury yarns like knit collage, my goal is always to design projects that really optimize the yardage available.

The second sample I'm working on uses a bunch of koigu yarn that I stashed from a goodie bag that was given out at the Vogue Knitting Live cocktail party a few years ago. They gave out 25 random colors of 10m mini-skeins. A while ago, I wound them onto bobbins for an intarsia project - you may have seen it on here - but the fade was so subtle that you couldn't see the color work.

Each bobbin is a single row of the mesh. I decided to start at the gray solid color, it'll provide a nice stable edge with a whole lot of color in the middle.

I hope this project looks good with the fading colors, there are a few rough spots in the gradient that I hope stand out in a good way, as a contrast against the multicolor tones.
