I just finished Testimone di Gangster. I'll put my thoughts on it as bullet points

Genuinely, I really enjoyed it. Its writing style was extremely captivating and it expands on Passione's history in a really interesting way. The writing is a bit twist-y and seems like it tries to fake you out at a couple points (I thought Pollo was lying due to Talking Head at first, but then it turns out he was being intimidated, and then Talking Head springs into action- also since Tiz and Squalo are part of the elite guard when we see them I assumed the guy they called their "leader" was Diavolo, but he's not. Though that one might be on me, I'm not sure. At least I hope it was intentionally trying to make me think that...)

The idea of Clash and Talking Head being used in a gangster trial is actually genius, I think. It taps into potential of the two Stands a lot more than canon did. It was both parts fascinating and terrifying to see all of Falco's work fighting the mafia get reversed in front of his eyes as the government and public perception falls right into Passione's hands.

I like the mention that Passione is a sort of "successor" to the now-declining Cosa Nostra, mostly because it mentions the existence of other gangs (and a real one at that). Not much to say here but it's just cool. I like its more grounded approach to the mafia in general here a lot.

My favorite thing it does in terms of expanding the characterization of the two minor antagonists here is Tizzano's temperament. He's calm and is portrayed as preferring solving things through talking rather than violence, which is very fitting for his Stand which has very little violent force but instead manipulates its target's words. Since Stands represent your fighting spirit and require a fierce user, it shows that Tiziano has a very strong fighting spirit, but in a very different way than most Stand users do. (This is, of course, contrasted with Squalo's hot-headedness like in canon.)

Overall, it was really enjoyable. Thanks a lot to @love-comes-to-town for recommending it to me. I feel bad for not reading it sooner LOL
