Iida Tenya-

THE PACER?

THIS. MAN. The second he gets the call that you are hurt, whether it was while you were on hero duty or stuck as an innocent bystander, he’s right by your side holding your hand. Now, Iida is a very work involved person, so when he called his assistant to block his work hours for the next 42 hours, they were really surprised. But he’ll be at your beck n call, I mean, really this man will get you anything you want. You don’t even have to ask! Flowers, your favorite drink + snacks, he’ll also make sure you get a good hospital room. He’s also the type to pace the floor, with a book in his hand. (Make sure you answer all his ‘I love you’s’ because on the inside this man is panicking..)

Monoma Neito-

!THE YELLER!

As we ALL know, Monoma is very self involved so when he hears that you, his s/o, his love, his everything is hurt, he’ll try his best to help you. He would cancel or leave his hero shift for that day, wait for your health status, then decide if he’ll need to take anymore days off. But he try’s really hard to make you comfortable, and he tries to put himself in your position. He’s definitely the type to yell at your side kicks ( if you were a hero) or yell at the “hero” that was on call when the incident had happened. This man is definitely stressing!

Shinsou Hitoshi-

!THE CHAIR SITTER! (hehe..)

BOYYY. MM MM. I definitely feel like he’d fall asleep, and accidentally leave his phone somewhere, so while he was searching for it, one of the big tvs would be broadcasting an incident that occurred. And while the news agent was releasing who was hurt, your name was called out he would absolutely panic. Like I tell you he’d start running to every hospital, and med-tec center just to find you. But once he sees the condition you’re in his ‘dad mode’ would kick in. And he would remember all the talks Eri’s therapist gave him about staying calm when bad things happen. Definitely goes to the bathroom and stares at himself in the mirror. Kind of like a, embracing the situation at hand, type of thing. He’d sit by your side for as long as it takes to make sure you’re okay..

Kirishima Eijiro-

THE RUNNER

This man is a big gigantic teddy bear. He may seem intimidating to villains but all his fans know he’s a loving individual. So, when he was at a meet and greet and one of his fans started to yell at him “RED RIOT, RED RIOT, HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT Y/N AND THE MAJOR INCIDENT?” He would immediately place his hands in a low-position, indicating to his crazed fans to please be quiet. It immediately became silent as he asked that person to repeat what they had said. The person repeated “Y/N? THEY WERE INJURED IN THAT INCIDENT ABOUT 4 MINUTES AGO!” everyone gasped, I mean they all love you two together so hearing that was a shock. After this he immediately drove to the local hospital, calling his gruffy pomeranian friend crying. Safe to say the second they allowed this man in your room he was all over you, showering you with love..

Tamaki Amajiki-

‘SOFT’ JITTERS

This boy is so baby coded, the second he heard y/n, his lover, was injured he immediately got in contact with the people that were with you. Suddenly all of his shaky-voice + body movements were eliminated. He was trying to hold things together once he heard how sever the incident was. And he would most likely call over his close friend Mirio. He, and Tamaki would stay over in your room, ordering food and chatting. Anything to help his best friend and his S/o. Mirio would also make sure the paparazzi were contained and away from the room. 

Mirio Togata-

THE NEGOTIATOR

Mirio is definitely the kind to pray. To whom? he doesn’t know. Whether it’s to the gods or to his ancestors. He’s known to be the person that cheers everyone up, including his friends, during stressful situations. However, once it comes to you, his walls break immediately. He needs to know you’re okay, he needs to hold your hand, telling you in a soft voice that ‘everything will be okay’. But the hospital staff workers must refuse any visitors, they really all feel bad for him, and YOU but you would have been really injured. He even tries to pull the ‘I’m the number 5 top hero” but once that doesn’t work he’ll definitely panic. (he always feels bad bringing up his ratings) - he was just really worried. but once your parents grant his access he’s all up in your grill, making sure you know he loves you with all his heart.

Denki Kaminari-

THE SHAKER

He’s all shaking when he hears you’re hurt, just like Tamaki Amajiki! But really he’d be in the waiting room, when a nurse comes out telling him he can come into the room. And once you tell him everything that had happened he’d immediately be on the phone calling people to deal with the situation. He’s definitely the type of person to jump into the bed with you and hop under the scratchy covers and crack jokes to make you laugh, in reality, hearing your laugh helps his anxiety.

Bakugou Katsuki-

‘ACTION’

MAN. MAN. MAN. He’d be forced by his publicist to dress into a tux and join Pro Hero Deku, for a convention. Of course, he and Izuku are close now but he’s getting agitated with all the flirty questions, flirty touching, and tightness of his dress shirt. He just can’t wait to come home to you. That being said, when a Secret Service agent comes to whisper that Y/N has been attacked protecting a child, he stands up so fast he also most flips the table. Luckily, Izuku caught it. He immediately had a cab called, half way in the process of loosening his tie, and taking off his suit jacket is when you called him. Telling him everything was okay but you were injured and trapped where you were. You had made him grit out a promise from a clenched jaw, that he would save the child first and not you. He made sure to bust into action, and placing you in the best hospital known to man.

Izuku Midoriya-

THE PUSHER

Izuku would most likely be on work hours when he caught news of you being hurt, and he would immediately stop everything. You’re his e. v. e. r. y. t. h. i. n. g. Like dead ass, he would be jumping building from building searching, and feeling for you. He’s immediately calling his publicists, asking them to make sure the media isn’t as obsessed with the incident at hand. When he leaves the hospital to get your favorite foods all media lines come in and surround him, asking him questions. He would repeat ‘Not comments at this time’ and ‘No answers at this moment’. He made sure he could take you home, creating a safe spot for you to have an “at home” hospital room. Man… he gets so jittery..

Tokoyami Fumikage-

THE YELL-STRESSOR

As he became a high end hero, he controlled dark shadow extremely well. There had been no slip-ups in 6 years. Well, that was until he got the message that you had been severely wounded, and you had just finished surgery headed to your room. Let’s just say he was livid, and so was dark shadow. How could they not contact before hand, he could have supported you, his love. But now, he can only assure you he’s there? You mean after the fact? When he arrived at the hospital he started to yell at the doctor, including his assistant for being incompetent. He’s usually quiet and keeps his words on the down-low, but after seeing you, he’ll definitely tear up. I’m sure dark shadow comes out himself to lay over you and sulk. (he loves you soo so so sooo much)

YOU GUYS!!! I really want to write a one shot on the Bakugou one, but I feel like it’s embarrassing if nobody requests it. I don’t know, anyways should I? Let me know. As always don’t be afraid to ask or give suggestions for whatever character in MHA you want.

Okay so this first one is oddly specific, but every time I go on my own personal Tenya Iida bend, I alwaaayyyss think of this. My fav "perfect gift for him" idea is a pair of glasses (stick with my now), but not just any pair, a pair with his hero name

My favorite gag gift ideas all come down to one thing, oranges. (ifykyk but de I will still explain) So, as a lot of Tenya fans know, his quirk uses oranges/orange juice as the fuel for his engines (no I'm not lying, it's random ik, his family has so many random traditions and small details thrown into the show, I love them sm 💞)

Like many people, I love gag gifts, and I would have a field day with this. I'm talking sunglasses shaped like oranges, bottles upon bottles of assorted orange juice, Sunny D merch, the whole nine yards. While this HC is made to be a gag gift, I think he would actually lose his shit over this, like best gift he's ever received type shit. He'd keep a specific shelf on his bookshelf for all things orange you get him (like a shrine or sm shi 💀) It def weirds ppl out when they don't know the story behind the shelf, but he loves it 😌👍

Spending the Day Together 💞

Bros prim and proper, if your lucky, you wake up before him. It's no secret that appreciates the finer things in life (and the small things, atp he appreciates literally everything. Tenya is an angel sent from heaven and don't you forget it ✋) But if you decide to wake this man up to some bomb ass breakfast, I'm talking bacon, eggs, possibly pancakes, and ofc a big ass glass of orange juice he WILL tear up. I know deep in my soul he's an emotional (or at least dramatic) gift reciever.

I feel like his birthday would actually be a pretty average day, other than the morning and night. He ofc wants to have breakfast with you, whether it's cooking or the two of you going out, but he makes a NIIGHT out of his birthday. Y'all are doing it all don't even play ✋ Anything he could think of that you would also enjoy, is going on the list. (ofc there's a list, this is Teny Iida were talking Abt 🙄🙄)

There happens to be a festival near by? ✅

Oh your in a town known for it's street foods? Take a wild guess where your going. ✅

Open Business Shack street strip? You're walking that thing about 50 times. ✅

Art Museums. Movies. Live Music. Wining and Dining. Walks in a Park. Walks on the beach. Hero conventions. Literally any event near or on his birthday y'all are going to. You can try to plan all you want for him but he's got things mapped out before you ever thought possible. Something to be grateful for though, he doesn't mind it. He doesn't mind planning all of these things for HIS birthday because making you happy in the process is more than enough for him to get by (selfless baddie).

At the End of the Day 🌆

As much as I'd like to think, and we'd all like to think, that Tenya gets in a good amount of alone time with you at the end of his birthday, it just doesn't happen (ikik trust the process 😔)

After a long day of walking around the town, eating great food, spending way to much money on entrance fees to museums, gift shops, and that great food I mentioned, bros pooped (sry guys I'm js a girl and idk how else to word that with equal humor to that phrase 😔)

The second you walk through that door bags are crashing into the ground, shoes are being thrown across the room (not rly tho cuz u leave ur shoes by the front door 👍), clothes are being scattered across the living and bedroom. All bro wants to do is crash into his bed. He barely has time to out his night cap on 😔😔

It's slightly mundane but sweet because trust me ✋ After a day like the one he has planned y'all's bed sounds like heaven. I mean you can swear you hear the angels themselves singing to you once y'all slink into bed together, and honestly he wouldn't have it any other way. Spending an amazing day with his amazing partner, then getting into an even more amazing bed with said partner at the end of his lil adventure 💞

If your still accepting asks for the au game, au where Manual is Inko's little brother

I am, and oh very fun

1- Inko's telekinesis is limited to small objects, while Masaki's is limited to water. They are twelve years apart, but Inko was expected to help some in raising her brother after their parents got a divorce. (The marriage was partially a quirk one, but a lot of things just didn't work, and they divorced before Masaki's first birthday)

2- When Masaki gets into hero school (Ketsubetsu), Izuku is two years old. He is his uncle's biggest fan, and Inko takes him to the school for festivals. (Ketsubetsu doesn't televise its events, but it still has them for friends and family to attend.) His final year there, they know Izuku is quirkless. When they leave, Izuku asks if he can be a hero without a quirk. Masaki doesn't say that Ketsubetsu doesn't allow for quirkless students to attend, and several other schools do too. Instead, he says that he doesn't know. He isn't quirkless, and he's not sure he can be one. But if there's a way, Izuku will figure it out, and have to tell him.

3- Masaki waits until he's safely graduated before he starts speaking about those admission rules and gets word moving around that it's just unfair to have quirks involved in the process at all, and it'll also lead to discrimination about heteromorph types and just isn't a good time. Manual is not a flashy hero, he's normal. He's easy to get along with, sensible. When he says it, it isn't a platform or a gimmick or starting an uncomfortable conversation. He's just a decent guy chatting and you know what, he does have a point. Word spreads, slowly. Some schools change rules, and are more fair about mutation quirks. UA changes it's rules, and one of them allows quirkless students. Izuku calls his uncle in tears that day to tell him the news, and Masaki genuinely does not have any idea he had even the slightest connection to that, but is happy.

4- Izuku told his uncle very seriously when he was ten years old that he was sorry, but All Might really was his favorite hero, and Masaki only second, even though he's said the reverse for years. Masaki cried tears of relief because "oh good, I cannot tell you how much pressure that was." Also there's a reason Masaki is so good at using his quirk near the eyes: he practices on tears a lot, the whole family is always crying. At least it's an easy source of water, for him!

5- Masaki sent an offer letter to Izuku and Iida, not expecting either to choose it. But since that was Izuku's only offer... Izuku calls him later the next day, and before he can say that he's so sorry, but there was another late offer after all and it's an All Might connection, Masaki cheerfully starts with "Hey, you're friends with Iida Tenya, right? He accepted my offer too, I can't believe I get both of you, it'll be a fun week. :)"

Izuku: .... Iida accepted it?

Masaki: aaaaand your tone of voice tells me that he is indeed planning murder, great. Ok. We'll figure that out.

Izuku, texting All Might: hey sorry can't back out of the internship with manual rn do you think gran torino will be available for later internships?

Izuku, out loud: we'll figure it out... Maybe my bone breaking will be distracting enough he doesn't have time to try murder?

(Izuku turns out to be half right. Gran Torino wanders into Manual's office and demands to train Izuku as well, and traumatizes Tenya on the side)

Just some OC lore, how Kansa views her classmates.

💚 Kansatoki Hikari 💚

Katsuki Bakugo↝ Kansa has the biggest crush on Katsuki almost at once after meeting him. Until then she had never seriously been interested in boys, only seeing them as toys to mess with. Her new feelings take her off guard, and it frustrates her that none of her usual advances seem to affect Katsuki. Katsuki thinks Kansa will be a strong hero one day, and much like Kansa doesn’t know what to do with these new foreign feelings. It makes him angry, and he can’t tell if Kansa’s flirts are serious or not since she throws around flirty comments to the other boys too. Eventually, the two find themselves in a situationship that lasts all through UA. As adults, there’s a time when Katsuki is distant from Kansa, leaving them to split for a while. Although the two eventually find themselves back together closer than ever.

Hitoshi Shinso↝ They first meet when Aizawa and Midnight have them spar together because they are both learning how to use support items. Shinso and the capture scarf; Kansa and a whip. Hitoshi is immediately starstruck by Kansa’s seductive comments. He has a crush on her throughout UA. The two eventually date after graduation during a split between Kansa and Katsuki. However, they have a nasty breakup as Shinso begins to feel he is just a rebound and Kansa will never truly be over Katsuki. The two don’t speak anymore.

Eijiro Kirishima↝ The two friendships started due to Kansa trying to be closer to Katsuki. Often tagging along with the two for study nights. Eijiro quickly became and still is one of Kansa’s closest friends.

Denki Kaminari↝ Being the horn dog Denki is at U.A., Kansa loves to throw out provocative comments that leave him a blushing mess. Beyond their days at U.A., the two are close friends.

Hanta Sero↝ Being a part of the Bakugosquad Kansa has a good relationship with Hanta. Although she is the least close to him of the boys.

Mina Ashido↝ Mina is one of the few girls Kansa becomes close to. Bonding in their wild sides, the two have many girls' nights throughout U.A. They are still close as adults.

Kyoka Jiro↝ Kansa likes Kyoka’s style although the two don’t get close until the influence of Mina brings them together. Kyoka is a little off put sometimes by Kansa’s vulgar behavior but comes to see her as a close friend and even comes to her for advice sometimes.

Izuku Midoriya↝ Kansa follows Katsuki's lead in taking a dislike to Izuku. She’ll avoid him at all costs and is extremely rude when they cross paths. Izuku is fascinated by Kansa's quirk and the way she’s been able to create a bond with Kacchan. He’s overly nice to her and doesn’t seem to take any offense to her rude behavior. Later as adults, Kansa apologizes for her behavior at U.A., and they have a respectful relationship.

Ochaco Uraraka↝ Kansa picks up on the fact that Ochaco has a crush on Izuku. Being that Katsuki hates Izuku and sees him as a rival, Kansa takes up the same stance for Ochaco. Viewing her overbearing kindness as a weakness. Throughout most of U.A. Kansa is rude and borderline bullies Ochaco. She apologizes later, and they form a strong bond as adults. Particularly when Izuku and Katsuki are sent on missions leaving the two alone.

Tenya Iida↝ Iida views Kansa as wildly irresponsible and is often left speechless by her vulgar and provocative comments. He quickly learns to pick and choose his battles with her, and most times keeps a comfortable distance away.

Tsuyu Asui↝ Kansa admires the way Tsu always speaks her mind. However, Tsu isn’t a fan of Kansa due to the way she treats Ochaco and Momo. Later on, when Kansa matures and apologizes to Ochaco the two have a respectful relationship although they aren’t close.

Momo Yaoyorozu↝ Kansa is intimated by Momo’s beauty and sees her as a threat. Being an immature teenager, she handles her jealousy by giving her backhanded comments and often being rude. Momo sees right through this but let's Kansa be all through U.A., keeping a comfortable distance. As adults, the two have a respectful relationship although they aren’t close.

Shoto Todoroki↝ Kansa has a big disdain for Shoto. She thinks he’s incredibly boring and is bewildered that all the girls fawn over him. Shoto thinks Kansa doesn’t take being a hero seriously due to her flirtatious personality. They butt heads often and Kansa purposely tries to get under his skin by making wildly inappropriate comments about his dad. Endeavor is freaked out by this and requests Shoto to stay away from her.

Reason 3: The side characters!

The love the screenwriter put into building the PGSM main cast - Senshi, Shitennou and Endymion is something to always celebrate as a fan of the series. Still, they are not the only ones who benefited from the live-action writing.

Many recurring side characters in the manga/anime had their characters further fleshed out / altered to have their personalities shine in the show. And even better, instead of being a background character most times, most of them actually have significant contributions to the brilliant storytelling PGSM gives us!

Tsukino Ikuko

Speaking of PGSM humour in part 2 of this series of blog posts, it is impossible for one to not discuss one of the most iconic changes and side characters in the live-action series - Usagi's mom!

In the manga and anime, Tsukino Ikuko is a sweet, caring, and typical mother in a Japanese household, except she has questionable lavender hair...

In the live-action, with the exception that Ikuko is a brunette which is quite a normal hair colour, everything else about her is... well, anything but normal. For lack of a better word, she is... eccentric, and is actually the person responsible for many of the shenanigans that occur in the Tsukino family. After watching PGSM, you can definitely tell from where Usagi inherited some of her traits...

Tsukino Ikuko, the yoga practitioner and creator of questionable omelette sauce, is great fun to watch. Her time on screen is not long, but whenever she appears, she SHINES and steals the show with hilarious antics and an amazing grasp of comedic cues worthy of a professional comedian! Not a minute of her screen time is ever wasted!

Tsukino Shingo

In the manga and anime, Tsukino Shingo is basically a smartass brat who loves butt-heading and teasing his older sister Usagi.

In the live-action, Shingo retains the smartass personality, but not much of a misbehaving brat. Instead, his character is further fleshed out that he is actually intelligent, sarcastic, sassy and... perpetually so done with Usagi and Ikuko.

Seriously, this kid is the responsible AND sensible one in the Tsukino household and the holder of all Tsukino brain cells. It is absolutely glorious and a wonder to see how all the sass could fit into his tiny body!

With Shingo and Ikuko together, any scenes of Usagi's home life is bound to leave you in stitches watching the chaos that goes on within its walls!

Present day the actor of little Shingo - Takeshi Naoki is (of course) all grown up, and an acclaimed and prominent stage actor in many musicals and stageplays, especially in the 2.5D world. (Manga/Anime adapted stage productions.)

Furuhata Motoki

Motoki in the live-action takes in both roles from the manga and the 90's anime, where not only does he work in the location that doubles as the Senshi's secret base (manga), but he is also Mamoru's best friend from school (90's anime). But otherwise his involvement in the story kinda just ends there.

In PGSM, Motoki's character is more fleshed out in that besides being a pretty face (because let's be honest, Kikawada Masaya is good-looking!), but he also provides some ongoing comic relief for being a huge turtle fanatic.

BUT! He is so much more than just comic relief! His easy-going, kind and caring nature also helps him become a buffer/translator and insight-provider on certain aspects of Mamoru's character for Usagi when it comes to his best friend. He helps Usagi see past Mamoru's tsundere tendencies, getting past the prickly exterior and seeing the caring side of her eventual fated lover.

... And that's not even the main involvement when it comes to our Senshi team. He has a much more significant role late series. But I shall not say more to keep this spoiler-free!

For long-time Tokusatus fans, Motoki's actor Kikawada Masaya has also continued his tenure in Tokusatsu in other well-known franchises:

Osaka Naru

Across the manga-verse and anime-verse, Osaka Naru is well-known to be a Youma-magnet, rumourmonger extraordinaire, and Usagi's best friend outside of the Senshi team.

In the live-action, Naru continues to play both roles! But her character is a lot more three-dimensional, where she is both sweet and empathetic, but also territorial when it comes to holding her position as Usagi's best friend. So much so, she got bitchy and possessive and caused some teenage drama when she felt her position as Usagi's friend got threatened as Usagi becomes more and more embroiled in the Senshi business. Personally, that was one of my favourite storylines, where it just feels so much more personable and relatable regarding highschool drama and friendship issues. It is one that's close to my heart!

On the other hand, when Usagi encounters adversaries in her school life or love life, Naru is always here as a protector or to cheer Usagi up!

For those who don't now, another fun fact is Naru is played by Sailor Mercury/Mizuno Ami in one of the original Sailor Moon musicals!

The original side characters & villains

There are 2 other original side characters that have recurring appearances and an original villain character that is exclusive to the live-action that I'd love to introduce. (Well, technically there are 2 original villains, but one I'll actually introduce later). But since I said I'll make this mostly spoiler-free, I'll leave them out for now. haha

In my humble opinion, all of them are very well written. They are either there to cause drama - which the live-action has done well to amp up on the angst in the storyline, or there to cause chaos, which frankly is absolutely entertaining and a joy to watch!

And for the record, I especially ADORE the character with the sparkles in the middle. :P

Who are your top 5 (or top 3) favorite characters each from Jujutsu Kaisen and Boku no Hero Academia? And why you loved them? And your top 5 favorite moments each from both series? Thx :D

My top 5 characters from Jujutsu kaisen are :

1)yuji itadori. I already kinda answered why I love yuji in my last post but Iam a big fan of his character arc and I absolutely love his cog ideology. There is so much that is still a mystery to yuji and I think he will probably be one of my top favourite MCs really soon I do hope that his story ends up breaking the cycle.

2) Geto suguru. I love how he is a parallel to yuji, how close he was with both Gojo and shoko, how he realised that the system was broken but chose the wrong way to deal with it.

3) Yuki tsumoko. I love how she was basically a riko who got a chance at defying fate and living. How she studied the soul and probably had better understanding of all of this than anyone in the Jujutsu world. I think she deserved more screentime and moments before getting destroyed by kenjaku. I also believe that she was simply a catalyst to Getos downfall and not what caused it.

4) Mechamaru. I love robots Imma be honest this is bias. I also loved how much he cared for the Kyoto students, how he was basically being selfish not letting them go into shibuya being afraid that they would get hurt, I loved how he became the traitor for both his own selfish reasons and to protect the ones he cared about.

5) maki zenin. Her character breaking the cycle that the zenins created is absolutely beautiful. She is basically a toji who broke the cycle and is someone who is ultimately interconnected with mai through the use of the sword.

My top 3 favourite moments in jjk are:

1) yuji Vs mahito in shibuya. The build up to this was amazing the "Iam you" moments was also fantastic. The slow understanding that yuji and mahito are two sides of the same coin is just so beautifully done. The wolf and rabbit imagery throughout the fight how mahito went from being cocky confident to being terrified (a feeling that a curse like him never knew of) is just a masterpiece.

2) higumara Vs itadori. This fight really just have us insight to both characters. We really get to see how much guilt itadori truly feels and is burdend with after shibuya. However, with higumara we also see him and his backstory how he spiraled out of control always being confronted by liars and sometimes failing to help as a lawyer, failing to protect the innocent. His domain being blinded by only justice and what people say is something really cool especially when we see yuji break that and how higumara reassures yuji telling him that the shibuya incident was not his fault was a really good moment

3) Gojo Vs kenjaku. Short but I think it said a lot about both characters relationships. How Gojos only weakness was the one that he used to share the title of the strongest with or how even after death geto would still not want any harm done to Gojo so he physically takes control over his own body and tries to cause himself harm just to try and stop kenjaku from sealing Gojo.

For MHA my top 5 favourite characters are:

1) izuku midoriya. The potential he had as a character is insane he definitely breaks the regular shonen protagonist type as we see him overthinking, actually analyse stuff and he is a very emotionally intelligent character as a whole. I talk a lot about how many ways horikoshi could of used him in my blog

2) momo Yaoyorozu. My favourite female character she had a lot of wasted potential which I talked about I think she had a great character arc ahead of her she just lacked the manga time for it which is sad.

3) tenya iida. PROBABLY one of the best developed characters in the series (if not for some of the ooc things he does from time to time) a character who wanted to only be a hero because of a loved one and then going in a full murder hunt when that loved one is injured just to be met with ideological thoughts like what is a hero and if he is worthy of such a title.

4) toga Himiko. I think she had a lot of potential as a humanised villain. I don't like his she was redeemed and I also made a post about how much wasted potential she has int he series.

5) shoji mezou. He actually kinda carries the series on his back because a lot of characters would be dead if it weren't for him. It's such a shame he got his character "arc" last minute and we didn't get a more fleshed out version of him. Him being a victim of discrimination and hiding behind a mask is never talked about just how it's never talked about how he takes of the mask and gains the confidence to show his face without feeling ashamed.

My top 3 favourite moments in MHA are:

1) Stain Vs the trio (izuku, iida and todoroki).The stain arc realky put all the characters through some serious thought process and questions. I love how stain actually ends up logically questioning idea and having a point in those questions. I love how todoroki just got a message from izuku and was like "oh thats not how you text so I came" I love how the moment izuku realised he was in hosu he started to think of iida was ok or how stain thought and regarded izuku as a true hero.

2) Izuku Vs lady nagant. This was supposed to be a fight where both parties realise how wrong they are and for izuku to realise how messed up the HC is. Lady nagant and izuku have a lot of parallels him wanting to save her and not having the heart to kill her says a lot. The way she highly respects him is something I really like. I guess I mainly like this for the wasted potential it has🤷‍♀️

3) togas fight in MVA arc with curious. Her fight with curious really got a lot out of her character. We got a backstory and how she kept hiding her true self, how her quirk made her the way she is. We also got a good breakdown of both curious and Toga's characters I wish we had more but yeah.

So Shoji and Koda finally get focus! Love it! But there are still some who need focus. Yuga, Ojiro, Sato, Sero, Shinso, Toru, Denki, and Momo. Tsu, Eijiro, Tenya, and Mina could possibly get moments as well. I also want to see moments for Aizawa, Nezu, and All Might. What are your thoughts on this?

How do you think things have been going in the final arc so far, story wise? We've been getting focus on characters like Shoji and Koda and the mutant stuff. Do you think any other characters going to get any attention soon?

For the sake of this, I’m focusing more on the main plot, the current arc, and the hero side of things. There are some issue I’d like to talk about, like pacing, and characters I want to focus on, like the Shuketsu students, but those are better served in their own meta.

If we're talking structure, I'm mixed. I think that starting with the Dabi fight was a good idea. It got the right amount of time and attention it needed. However, I believe Hori made the wrong move by putting so much focus on the fight with Tomura and All For One at the beginning. I understand these are important, but it feels like we're getting all of the big fights in the first few chapters. It makes the arc feel front-loaded with a lot of the major players. I've been seeing a few of the fans saying the stuff with Shoji is filler or is boring. I strongly disagree since I do like Shoji and I want to see him getting focus. But cutting to this after everything else that's been happening does feel like a jarring change, especially with Izuku really starting to fight All For One. Obviously, a lot of those conflicts have reached a midpoint, like Izuku coming to the fight, Dabi coming back into fray, and All For One getting his old body back. A lot of these are good stopping points, and I'm glad we're glad that we're getting other perspectives. While I am someone who hasn't been bothered by the lack of focus on some of the students, as I think that most of the students get an appropriate amount of focus, I do think that a large war like this is a good opportunity to give them some spotlight.

As for who is going to get more focus going forward, I can make some guesses. I do think the students are going to get attention, but it won't be evenly divided. For example, yes, it's nice that Shoji and Koda are getting focus, but you can clearly tell that Shoji is getting way more focus of the two thus far. I feel like characters like Sato, Ojiro, and kind of Sero are going to get more pushed to the side since they've had little presence in the story thus far. Even their preview during Chapter 353 was short-lived. I think that certain characters may well be more supportive of other characters, like Tenya has been for Shoto and Tsuyu has been for Uraraka in their plots. It's also hard to account for some of the characters. Nezu, Toru, and Shinso have been missing since the new arc started. While I'm sure that Horikoshi has something planned, it's hard to say what it is without knowing where they are. All Might isn't even on the board right now. I definitely think that Aoyama is going to get some focus later on. He's on his own with Fat Gum against a high-ranking assassin and needs to finish up his story line. Mina and Kirishima are clearly the focus of the fight at Gigantomachia. And while they haven't gotten as much attention, mostly supporting Shoto and Ochako, I do hope that Tenya and Tsuyu get some attention given how prominent they were before.

MHA End : 1-A Potential ship final

Well, since MHA is over and NO ship has been canonized, I'll give my own interpretation 😤

Izuku doesn't end up with anyone. Despite the scene in chap.329, I don't have the impression that Izuku and Ochaco ended up together at all o-o and apparently he hasn't kept in touch with many people except Katsuki but I don't think they're together so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Ochaco doesn't end up with anyone. Despite the scene in chap.329, I don't think Ochaco still loves Izuku. Clearly her true love was Toga, and I can't imagine her forgetting her so easily.

Denki is in a relationship with Kyoka Kamijiro was a safe bet. I think they got together during their second year at Yuei. They're clearly in love.

Eijiro is in a relationship with Mina Although I'm not a big fan of this ship, it's clear that there's more than friendship between this two. I think they took a little longer than Denki and Kyoka to get together. Maybe during their first year as professionals.

Katsuki doesn't end up with anyone. I don't think Katsuki is very active on the "romantic" front. And honestly, I don't see who he could end up with other than Izuku, so… for me, he's solo.

Shoto (plan A) doesn't end up with anyone. For Shoto I hesitate between two finality, somehow I believe in the theory of Shoto = Aroace, because… it's kind of obvious but…

Shoto (plan B) is in a relationship with Sero ... I love her relationship with Sero. From my point of view, they have a very good dynamic and complement each other quite well. If it were to happen, I think it would be Sero who would make the first move during high school, but the relationship would be quite complicated and a bit secretive.

Mashirao is in a relationship with Toru I'm not a fan of this ship at all, I much prefer Toru x Yuga but… this ship has been so obvious from the begin...

Tenya is in a relationship with Mei They haven't had much interaction but every time their dynamic is very good. She's very creative and scattered and he's very strict and respects the rules. They'd make a really fun couple.

Shinso is in a relationship with Monoma Honestly, I love their dynamic, I can see them developing an "ennemy to lovers" kind of friendship, especially on the Monoma side, where eventually a romance would emerge.

I know many person ship Tsuyu and Fumikage but they haven't interacted in a long time and I'm not sure if I'd see them end up together… Momo, idk… I like her vibe with Awase from 1-B but I don't know if we can really imagine anything between us.

For Mezo, Yuga, Koji, Rikido I hope they have or will find someone in the future, but for the moment I can't see them with anyone we've ever seen…

You could still hear the gentle chirping of birds accompanied by the feeling of the sun against your skin and the echo of your and Tenya's laughter. The pitter-patter of your feet hitting the soft ground below as you chased after him in the safety of the Iida Estate backyard.

You often cringed when you thought back to how the adults would gawk and comment how adorable you and Tenya were when you played together as children. You were almost surprised Tenya's parents didn't arrange a marriage between the two of you.

Even as a child, Tenya would constantly remind you to be careful. "I do not believe carelessly jumping and hopping on rocks or running with one's shoelaces untied is a wise idea!" of course, you didn't listen to him and on occasion, he'd have to tend to the 'boo boo's' you received which he reminded were your own fault.

Once in a while, Tenya and yourself would take naps together. This was usually when you came back inside from playing and on occasion, you'd spend the night at the Iida Estate. Sometimes when you had a nightmare, you'd walk to Tenya's room and plead to sleep with him for the night. Luckily his mother didn't seem to mind this.

You recalled Tenya dragging you to see his elder brother, Tensei quite frequently. "He is the bravest and kindest hero I know! One day I wish to become a great hero like him and I want you by my side as well!" you didn't take into account how serious Tenya was about becoming a hero nor the pinky swear you performed which vowed that Tenya and yourself would do everything together, including becoming heroes.

When the hotter days came, you'd make use of the kiddie pool and continuously splash Tenya who would then proceed to scold you, "Do you not know how dangerous splashing water can be?! I do not wish to get wet and disturb my otherwise clean appearance an-" you recalled the shocked expression that came to his face when you pulled him into the kiddie pool for a hug.

The most memorable moment during your childhood was the day that Tenya and yourself decided to 'get married' using heart paper rings that Tenya had made himself. "I do believe this is the appropriate finger to indicate that one is taken and otherwise happily married," he said as he slipped the piece of paper jewelry over your finger. "I...hope to make you feel such happiness always as I...like you very much Y/n, will you be my spouse one day?"

"Awe, that's so cute!" Ashido shrieked when Tenya had finished telling the story of the day you two had decided to exchange childhood vows. Thinking back, you couldn't recall how you responded to Tenya's question all those years ago. But, you held the same feelings towards him and found yourself feeling happy that you and your fellow classmates were speaking about cherished memories from the past.

Tenya, while not a man of many secrets, never told you that he kept the heart paper ring from that day. He considered it good luck and a constant reminder of his feelings towards you. He still held the desire to ask for your hand one day, but for now, he made his education and hero work his main priority.

Seven Minutes in Heaven with Tenya Iida and Denki Kaminari

Of course Mina was the one who wanted to play. Why wouldn't she be? Somehow she'd managed to wrangle together the whole darn class and you were all sitting in the common area of the A dorms.

She placed the bottle on the table and volunteered to go first, giving the bottle a nice spin and sitting back as she waited for her partner. It ended up being Ojiro.

Finally, after a few more spins, it was your turn. You gave the bottle a hard flick and it slowed to a stop, landing on...

Tenya Iida

Mina howled with laughter. "Allright!! Y/N and class rep!! Head on over to the closet, ya lovebirds!! You've got seven minutes!!"

Iida stood up from his spot on the couch and adjusted his glasses, his face dusted a soft shade of pink.

"I understand that it is my duty as a participant of this game to fulfill the requirements!! Come, Y/N! Let us head to the closet!"

He holds his hand out to the side, gesturing for you to go first. He follows after you and closes the closet door softly behind him.

Iida is as stiff as a board. You can tell he doesn't do stuff like this often. You laugh, letting him know that he can relax a little. This is supposed to be for fun.

"I apologize. I'm not very familiar with these types of games. I'm not exactly sure what we're supposed to be doing." He only knew that two people went into a closet for seven minutes, and nothing else.

You explain to him the premise of the game and he flushes, adjusting his glasses so you can't see the absolute panic that resides behind them.

"I see. I-I suppose some our age would find this a rather fun game to play."

You see Tenya's throat bob as he swallows the tension. You can't help but think how much prettier it would look painted with hickeys. But you know Iida isn't that kind of person.

"Y/N." He speaks suddenly, appearing to be more calm and collected now. "I...I would like to try something, if it's alright with you."

You nod at him, all smiles and excitement.

"I...I would like to fulfill the requirements of this game by kissing you, if you'd let me."

You couldn't be happier. You'd been waiting for a moment like this with Tenya. For the last three years he was always so focused on school work and hero training and never took the time to let loose and just be the young adult he was. You'd admired him for his ability to focus on his goals, but still. You wanted him to have fun and let loose with everyone else, too.

You smile up at Tenya, then take a step closer and pucker your lips. You let him make the first move, because he's a man of calculations and planning, and you'd rather he be comfortable and let him do it his way.

Iida swallows and looks at your lips, his tongue darting out subconsciously to wet his own. He steps forward as well, meeting you in the middle of the closet. He puckers his own lips and slowly inches his face towards yours until you feel his lips pressing against yours.

You let out a little hum of satisfaction as you feel the hot air from his nose as it fans onto your face. You smile against his lips, stepping even closer to press your chest up against his, moving your hands to his strong shoulders. He matches your movements, resting his large hands on your upper arms as he kisses you.

He pulls away after a moment to catch his breath and soak in the fact that he did, in fact, just have his first kiss.

"...That was a wonderful experience." He murmurs, gripping your arms slightly tighter as he looks down into your eyes. "M...May I do it again?" You smile up at him and nod, this time taking the lead and pressing your lips to his first.

You stay like that for the rest of your time in the closet, pulling away every now and again to catch your breath but otherwise staying connected at the lips.

It's such a new experience for Iida and he can't seem to get enough. He's enjoying spending time with you like this.

Suddenly the door opens and Mina squeals like an animal, and the rest of the class, aside from the more quiet ones, all whoop and holler at you two.

You both exit the closet and Iida has subconsciously taken your hand, pulling you along with him as he sits back down on the couch. When you sit down next to him, he leans in and whispers I to your ear.

"Perhaps we should have played this game earlier."

Denki Kaminari

When the bottle lands on Kaminari you groan a little bit. You know exactly how this is going to go.

"All right!! Closet time with a total babe!! See you guys in a bit!" He practically skips into the tiny room, waiting excitedly for you to enter. "Well, Y/N? What are you waiting for?"

You sigh and drag your feet over to the closet. Mina sets a timer on her phone. "Seven minutes you two lovebirds!! Don't go overboard in there!!" And she shuts the door.

You lean against it and cross your arms over your chest, staring across the room at Kaminari who's all too excited to be stuck in a closet with you.

"So. Seven minutes isn't a whole lot of time. We better get going if we wanna make use of this closet."

He steps towards you and you turn your head away, giving him the cold shoulder. He pouts and reaches his hand out to rest it on your shoulder.

"Hey, come on! By this point they already know about us. We may as well have some fun in here while we can."

You two had been flirting and seeing each other on and off for a few months. You had been trying your best to keep it on the down low while you worked on your hero studies so as to not have a distraction, but Denki was always a little too excited. He would give you a particular glance or spend a little too long with his arm pressed against yours, and everyone knew what was going on.

You let out a deep sigh, finally turning to look at his stupid cute face, getting lost in those stupid yellow eyes. As soon as your sights were on him, he knew he had you. He shifted his hand from your shoulder to your cheek and pulled you in close to him, wrapping his other arm around the back of your waist.

You parted your lips slightly, which allowed Kaminari's tongue to dip into your mouth as you ran your hands up his chest to rest them on his shoulders for leverage.

You pressed against him, letting a soft moan crawl from between your parted lips, and Kaminari smiled against your mouth as he felt you whimper underneath him.

"Not three minutes ago you were giving me the stink eye." He laughed, pulling away and stroking your cheek with his thumb. "You're a bit of a hypocrite if you ask me, babe."

"Well good thing I wasn't asking you." You retort, pulling him into another kiss. It's a bit more desperate this time. You part your lips once more so Kaminari's tongue can meet with yours in a passionate dance, and you wrap your arms around the back of his neck and pull him into you.

Kaminari backs you up against the closet door, pulling away to kiss at your neck. He sucks a mark into your skin, just under your ear, where you'll be able to cover it with your hair. Then he goes back to your mouth, nipping at your bottom lip with a smile as he kisses you again.

Suddenly the door swings open and you both go toppling over onto the floor and Kaminari lands on top of you. Mina and Sero have bursted into laughter and Kirishima is trying to contain himself.

"About damn time. You two are fuckin' insufferable when you try to hide this shit." Bakugou snarls.

Kaminari looks down at you and smiles.

"See? I told you they already knew about us."

He woke up in recovery girls office.

He wasn’t sure how he got here. All he remembered was his head feeling a bit faint walking back to the dorms, then waking up here. Looking out the windows, vast colors of orange and yellow flooded in between the cracks of the blinds, making colorful stripes paint his bed with light. He presumed it was around sunset.

The door clicked open. Recovery girl, Aizawa, and detective Tsukauchi walked through the door.

“Do you know where you are right now, Iida?” Aizawa was frank, as usual.

“I believe I am in recovery girls office, though I have no clue how I got here.”

Tsukauchi cleared his throat. “You were hit with a villains quirk about 2 days ago. You’ve been asleep ever since. It caused you to go in a nightmare-ish dream state until we caught them.”

Iida retrieved his glasses from the bedside table. It was then he realized he was in his pajamas. Aizawa stepped forward. “What’s your full name?”

“Iida Tenya.”

“How old are you and what school do you go to?”

“15 years old and I attend UA high school.”

Aizawa hummed. Nothing seemed to be wrong with his memory. “Do you know what day it is?”

“March 17...no, 19? Forgive me, it’s somewhere between there.”

“Iida,” Aizawa looked confused. It made Iida feel sort of uneasy aswell. Like getting a problem wrong and having your teacher be disappointed in you. “That’s almost a full month away. It’s February 3rd today.”

February 3rd. If Iida recalled correctly, that was around the day that everyone seemed to forget that (Y/n) existed. He checked his wrists out of habit. (Y/n’s) watch were gone. He was about to ask where it was, when the detective clicked his tongue.

“Well-thats to be expected,” Tsukauchi held up a case file, most likely a report on the criminal who used their quirk on Iida. “Time passes differently in the quirk-induced coma Iida-san was in. Some people affected by them claim it’s been years when it’s only been a couple of days. Truly terrifying.”

Recovery girl tutted. “All of his vitals seem to be in check. He should be able to return to the dorms now. Just have him take it easy for a couple days in training.”

“Mm. Make sure you make up your missed work,” Aizawa turned back, as Tsukauchi exited the office and recovery girl sat in her desk. “And tell your classmates you’re alright. Your friends were freaking out when you wouldn’t wake up in the morning. They should be in the dorms by now.”

Iida nodded.

Walking back to the dorms, there was one thing Iida couldn’t get off his mind.

He’s been in a ‘quirk-induced coma’ for 2 days. The passage of time is different with their quirk as to real life. And he could’ve sworn it was late March instead of early February.

So when did he fall asleep? And what was his ‘dream’ about?

He, at first, thought it was the result of walking home with his friends after seeing that sketch artist Kaitekina, but that doesn’t happen until almost a full month later. So, most of the things Iida remembers doing and learning in class has not happened yet.

And, nightmare? He remembers falling asleep and seeing (Y/n) in his dreams, but that doesn’t fall under ‘nightmare’ territory. Actually, it was rather pleasant.

“Oi! Iida’s awake!” He heard Kirishima yell, as he walked through the door. Most everyone was in the common room, and turned their heads. Each one of them erupted into a smile, saying things like “are you ok?” Or “glad to see you awake, Iida-san!”

He, unintentionally, tuned them all out.

What was his ‘nightmare?’ What made his dreams about a boy who doesn’t exist so bad? Was he waking up in his dream just to go to bed in that dream to dream another dream? What-

“-and (L/n) was so worried bro! I mean-he looked ok like usual but I guess he doesn’t really go out of his room unless you force him t-“

“I’m sorry, who?” Iida’s disbelieving voice sharply cut off Kaminari’s ramblings. He didn’t hear that correctly. His mind had to be playing tricks on him.

“...bro...” Looks of worry or confusion flooded the 1A students. Similar to when they looked at him like he was insane, asking for a non-existent student named (L/n) (Y/n).

Kaminari awkwardly chuckled. “(L/n)...? Your personal hype man? Dude who follows you around like a dog?”

“Kaminari-that was mean, he does not follow Iida around like a dog.”

“But he does!”

A playful argument rang out between Jirou and Kaminari. Everyone’s attention seemed to shift from Iida, to Jirou blasting her heartbeat into Kaminaris ears with her ear jacks.

“Iida-kun, are you okay..?” Midoryia brought Iida out of his trance. “Did you lose your memory or something while you were asleep?”

“No no I just-I probably misheard Kaminari-kun. Who was he talking about?” His voice was wavering. His desperation hidden behind the glare of his thick cut glasses and messy bed hair. He needed to comb his hair once he sorted things out.

“(L/n) (Y/n)-kun?” There it’s was again. “He sits next to you in class? You...oh! You two fought in the sports festival? And...yknow...the whole,” Midoryia stuck out his tongue making a mask with his hands and pretending to lick someone’s blood. “-thing?”

Everytime he asked who he fought in the sports festival, everyone including Midoryia would say “Hatsume-san, Ibara-san, and Todoroki-kun.” He never recalled fighting someone named “Ibara” from class 1B, having fought (Y/n) instead, but he grew to just accepting it.

And when he asked about the Stain incident, Todoroki and Midoryia would claim it was just them three fighting him. There was no one with (h/c) hair that helped Midoryia, him, and Todoroki out immensely. As far as Iida was concerned, (L/n) (Y/n) did not exist to the world.

So why was everyone talking like he was a real person?

“Iida, if you really don’t remember, you should go get that checked out by recovery girl...it’s pretty odd that you forgot about your own classma-“

The sudden startup of engines, followed by the whirring hiss of smoke trailing past him cut Midoryia off. Iida burned through the pants of his pajamas, but he didn’t care. He ran as fast as he could to the 4th floor of the boys side of the dorms.

His heart quickened with every step he took. He wasn’t one to get his hopes up, but the obvious look of desperation on Iida’s face seemed to lead his thoughts. He needed to see for himself.

Skidding to a halt infront of the supposedly empty dorm room, he once again halted when he reached for the doorknob. Everytime he’d check this room on impulse, he was always met with the empty, white walls and drawn curtains supplied by the school. He didn’t want to walk in and face white again.

And he didn’t.

Almost taking the door off the hinges, Iida practically shoved the door out of his way. A small gasp ripped its way through Iida’s throat.

A dimly lit room, one that was never kept clean, that had an oddly sweet smell coming from it. He saw the vaguely familiar (f/c) bedsheets, with the sea blue comforter thrown lazily on it, half slipping onto the ground. He saw the messily taped Ingenium posters, crooked and wonky, plastered on his studying table, which was almost never used for studying. When they studied together, it was usually on Iida’s bed or somewhere outside.

But finally, he saw the patio slider door opened, curtains fluttering in the mellow orange sunlight with someone standing outside. They were leaning on the balcony, with their arms stretching up, the reflection of their cheap red watch burning light into Iida’s eyes.

“(L/n)...kun...?” The name felt foreign on his lips. Even if he technically ‘saw him two days/one month ago’, it felt like years since he’s actually felt like he was in the same room as him. The boy, (Y/n), turned around.

Setting sunlight painted his face with warm colors, making the (h/c) shade of his hair burn brighter. The light also seemed to reflect off the (e/c) iris’ of (Y/n’s) face, making it look like it was glowing. It lit his face well enough to make him seem ethereal. Breathtaking. Real.

It was him. It was (Y/n).

“Morning, Tenya. How’s it feel to be asleep for two days?”

Iida didn’t answer. Instead, he walked tentatively towards the patio sliding entrance, his burnt pajama pants cinching his calves now that his adrenaline high was subsiding. He stopped a few inches way from (Y/n), reaching out and shakily touching his cheek.

Instead of fazing through him, or flat out fading, his hand made contact with warm, soft skin. (Y/n) hummed and nuzzled his cheek into his hand. Iida’s vision blurred involuntarily, despite him having his glasses on.

“Is something wrong? Did something happen?”

His voice’s vibration, and the warm breath that fanned his chest was enough proof that he was here. Enough proof he was dragged down back to earth, no longer just a distant memory no one remembered.

Iida’s throat closed up, and he felt his knees go weak. He was a blurred mass of (h/c) and (skin/c), with the hint of red that protruded from his arm, but Iida knew he was still there. He was there, with him, and would be going on until forever.

A tender, hoarse chuckle escaped Iida. He leaned his cheek onto (Y/n’s) forehead, not caring that his face and bed hair was still messy and reeked of sleep. He smiled.

“Nothing. Nothing at all, (Y/n)-kun.”

Pairing: Katsuki Bakugo x Fem! Reader

Summary: Katsuki always has your back, even if it means helping you get some sleep

“Hey, gramps,” you managed through your yawns. Your eyes were probably the heaviest they’d probably ever been. As excited as you were to go to training camp, you would kill for just a few extra hours of sleep. The early morning sun felt like some kind of sick joke as you waited with the others to get on the bus.  

“The hell you just call me,” Katsuki barked, his lips curling up into a snarl. His eyes darkened with rage. It was bad enough being up this early in the middle of summer, and your new nickname for him wasn’t helping. You always had some stupid nickname for him. It was annoying but cute. “I’ll-.”

You stifled another yawn, utterly unbothered by his shouting. “Keep it down, will ya. Not everyone goes to bed at like 8, gramps.” Katsuki’s growling and Kirishima’s snickers brought a tired smile to your face. “Hey Kiri,” you said as cheerfully as possible. 

“Hey sleepyhead,” he smiled warmly. He held his arm out as an invitation, which you gladly accepted. You leaned your head against his shoulder casually, feeling him wrap his arm around your shoulders as he held you close.

“Don’t come complaining to me bout being tired. I told ya to go to bed early,” Katsuki growled, his irritation growing by the second. Did you really have to lean against Kirishima? What the hell made him so special? The half-lidded content expression on your face as you looked up at him was annoyingly adorable. He wanted to stay angry, but you were making it extremely difficult. You always made it hard for him to stay upset. Not that you really even seemed to care when he acted that way anyway. His face had relaxed into his signature frown as he jammed his hands into his pockets. “What time did you go to bed anyway?”

You shrugged, snuggling closer into Kirishima’s arm. “Couldn’t sleep and didn’t wanna wake you, so I did some training. I lost track of time, though.” You ignored the quiet ‘dumbass’ that fell from his lips. Nowadays, it felt more like a term of endearment than an insult. “I just need a little more shut-eye, and I’ll be fine. Oh, speaking of,” you pulled away from Kirishima and looked around for Fumikage. A small rush of adrenaline flowed through you once your eyes landed on him. With a small wave to the two boys, you skipped over to him.

Katsuki couldn’t keep his eyes from flicking down your figure as your skirt swayed with each jump. His eyes watched every jiggle your thighs did with each movement. He’d agree to cuddles just for the chance to have his hands on them. To grope and kneed at them. Not to mention the bounces that your skirt could barely hide. He found himself in a daze at the sight of you. That was until Minoru pulled him out of his trance. 

“The girls of class A and class B,” he drooled. “It’s like a buffet of bombshells!”

Katsuki clenched his fist, his knuckles turning white from his grip. He kept trying to tell himself the tiny creep was always like this. It was a slim chance that Minoru was talking only about you specifically, but his pervy comment got under Katsuki’s skin nonetheless. He’d pummel that little turd into the pavement before he’d let Minoru check you out. “Watch your damn mouth, you little runt! I’ll kill you!” He watched as Minoru scurried behind Denki for protection. Smoke rose from his fists, his anger continuing to boil over. “What the hell does she even need to talk to bird brain anyway,” he asked in a somewhat quieter voice, shifting his anger towards you.

Katsuki hated the envious feeling that coursed through him. No, that wasn’t it. He was used to the feeling. It’s what drove him to work as hard as he does. No. He hated that something as simple as you talking to Tokoyami and not him caused the feeling. He hated how jealous he could get when you weren’t the center of his attention. What the hell was he, a child?! 

“Alright, everyone, the bus is here,” Tenya announced authoritatively as he waved his arm in the air, guiding everyone to the bus.

“Dude, chill out. Your crush on Y/n is kinda showing. Just man up and tell her already,” Kirishima said with a nonchalant shrug. He crossed his arms behind his head and walked off. “Now, let’s go; we don’t wanna be the last to get on the bus.” 

Katsuki jammed his hands in his pockets as he begrudgingly followed Kirishima, getting into the line of people clambering into the bus. 

You could feel Katsuki staring intensely, his eyebrow quirk up in curiosity as you sneaked past your assigned seat. You shot a quick thankful smile to Fumikage as you crept further and further past your spot. Only a few people took notice of you, most namely Tenya. Thankfully he kept quiet as you stopped in front of Katsuki. “If you got something to say, make it quick,” you whispered as you climbed over his lap, plopping down in Fumikage’s seat. 

He opened his mouth to argue but quickly closed it. As confused as he was grateful that you were by his side and not bird brain. It was going to be a whole hour with you by his side. A faint blush painted over his cheeks. Katsuki looked down at his lap in an attempt to hide the blush.

“You gonna say something, gramps, or are you just gonna admire me the whole time?” You poked his cheek teasingly. 

“Stop calling me that, idiot,” he snapped, slapping your hand away. It wasn’t hard enough to hurt you, just enough to keep your hand away.

You quickly ducked down in the chair and glared at him. “Shh before you get me caught, idiot,” you quietly hissed at him, slapping his arm. 

He took a calming breath, composing himself before continuing. “Why’d you sneak over here anyways?” 

“I can go to my seat instead,” you grumbled disappointedly. You weren’t sure what you were really expecting from him. You moved to get up from the seat but stopped short. Katsuki’s hand quickly wrapped around your wrist, holding you still.

“Tch. I didn’t say you had to move, blockhead.” Katsuki quickly let go of your wrist, worried you’d feel how sweaty his palms were getting. They were practically drenched in sweat. It was kind of gross if he was being honest. Almost as gross as the hammering in his chest. Only you had that effect on him.

“Then shut it,” you yawned. You hesitantly slid your hand into his. A quiet giggle fell from your lips as you felt him tense under your touch. His pink tinted cheeks told you everything you knew he wouldn’t say. “Wake me when the bus stops, will ya?”

“Yeah yeah. Just don’t go snoring in my ear or drooling.” His tough-guy appearance was slowly dissipating.

“Who said anything about me being close enough to you for you to hear me snoring?” You smiled cheekily and leaned closer to him. His grip around your hand tightened momentarily. 

“Tch, do whatever you want. Go ahead and get a crick in your neck from leaning against the window. See if I care.” He met your tired gaze with a cocky smirk, “as long as I get to beat ya at your best, I don’t give a shit.”

You rolled your eyes and nudged him with your shoulder. “Almost sounds like you care about me, Ka-chan,” you purred with a sly smirk. You leaned into him and rested your head on top of his shoulder. 

His body tensed as you laid your head on his shoulder. He wanted to wrap his arm around your shoulders to help you get comfortable, but he couldn’t get himself to move an inch. It wasn’t the first time he held you close, but it didn’t stop him from getting lost in the feeling. He tried to ignore the constant wiggling you kept doing beside him. Every tug of his hand. Each tickle from your curls. All the brushes of your breast against his arm. He tried to ignore all of it, but everything about you gave his heart a jumpstart like being on a rollercoaster. “Stay still, will ya?!” 

You sighed tiredly, feeling the bus finally begin to move. “S-sorry, I just can’t get comfy.” You couldn’t decide if that was really the problem, or if it was hard to sleep because of all the butterflies in your stomach. You failed to hold back another yawn. “It’s whatever. I’ll be fine,” you sat up with a defeated huff. 

Katsuki almost felt bad with how tired you looked. He had only seen you this tired on the rare nights you’d stay with him to study or watch a movie. His adam’s apple bobbed nervously as he thought of a solution. “Tch. Switch seats with me.” He avoided meeting your confused expression to hide his flushed cheeks. “Make a big out of this, and I’ll make you stay up the whole way.”

You nervously did as he told, watching him lean his back against the window. He held his arms out to you with a quiet grunt. Your cheeks felt like they were set ablaze. You nervously glanced around, checking to see if anyone was looking. Everyone was in their own worlds, either sleeping or too busy talking to take notice of either of you. You hesitantly leaned into his warm embrace, your heart thundering in your ears. A content sigh escaped your lips as he wrapped his arms around you. “Thanks, Katsu,” you purred as you snuggled your face into his neck. 

Katsuki watched you with a gentle smile on his face. “Told you not to make a big deal.” Everyone else faded away until it was only you and him. You were like a blanket, engulfing him in comfortable warmth. He held onto your waist with one arm, keeping you in place, while his other hand played with your stray curls. The stupidly cute smile on your face sent his heart into overdrive. 

“You’re such a dumbass.” As much as he hated it, he wanted the bus to take as long as possible to get there. Having you sleeping beside him just felt right.

“And you’re my big softie,” you whispered, your breath fanning over his neck. 

“Tch. You better not tell anyone.” There was no point in denying it anymore. He’d be your big softie forever if that’s what it took to put a smile on your face. “Now go to sleep before you run out of time.”

And so we begin what is probably my least favorite arc… at least in fanfics. Probably because so many just repeat what happens basically verbatim and don’t change anything. But we’ll see how actually going through it in the manga has me feeling by the end of it!

[No. 23 - Roaring Sports Festival]

We open up on the day of the sports festival, crowds of reporters waiting outside for the events to start. We see the same reporter from the day of the break-in here, along with others (though I think that some of the background faces are references?). Present Mic addresses them directly, getting deep into his radio host persona as he announces that it’s once again time for the high schoolers to ‘revel in their youth’, as it’s the UA sports festival.

We then get an awesome two-page spread:

I just love how Katsuki’s providing the background action movie explosion. What a pal. 

There’s a blank logo page, and then we move on to a flashback, finishing out the conversation between Izuku and Toshinori from two weeks before said Sports Festival.

Izuku slowly repeats Toshinori’s call to action (to tell the world ‘I am here!’), but isn’t sure how to go about it. Toshinori asks if Izuku knows how the Sports Festival works, which Izuku does, going into an explanation: The members of the support course, business course, general studies, and hero course are all thrown together, grouped by grade level. All the students compete in a series of preliminary competitions, whose winners move on to the main event. It’s a round-robin tournament for each grade level.

Toshinori continues his dramatic gesturing, pointing at Izuku with both hands as he confirms Izuku is exactly on point. This event is Izuku’s chance to gain mass appeal for himself. Izuku’s response?

God, Toshinori’s a dramatic dude, I love it. I can totally buy into him being a theater nerd in his off-time… not that he’s had much of that lately, but I digress. While Toshinori’s being dramatic, Izuku descends into a muttering spree, saying he gets what Toshinori is saying, he’s just not sure he can deal with it after what the class just went through. He’s also lacking motivation to stand out, since he sort of already has All Might as a mentor, and that as he is now, it wouldn’t even occur to him to make a big showing, just like with the strength tests.

Toshinori’s response?

Toshinori, I swear if someone walked in on that, there would be so many questions.These two were made for each other. 

When Izuku goes to check on Toshinori, Toshinori shoots him a serious look and tells him that the slight difference between those who always aim for the top and those who don’t will come to matter in a big way once Izuku and his friends emerge into society. He tells Izuku that he understands how he feels, and that he won’t force him… but also to not forget that drive he felt when cleaning up the beach.

We fast forward a bit to the end of that same day. Ochako is hesitating in the doorway, and for good reason: an entire crowd of students is standing there and chattering right on the other side. 

Also, while I am well aware it’s not Toga… I see you in the crowd there, messy bun girl… (narrow eyes)

Anyways. Ochako and the rest of the class are staring right back at the crowds, with Ochako wanting to know what’s going on. Mineta realizes there’ no way out, and wants to know what the other students are there for. Katsuki replies that they’re obviously there to scope out the competition, calling Mineta a ‘small fry.’ They’re the class who survived a villain attack, so it makes sense they’d want a look before the sports festival.

(Meanwhile, Mineta freaks out and points at Katsuki in fear while staring at Izuku, who sighs and comments on how that attitude is Kacchan on a good day.)

Katsuki says there’s no point, though, then tells the ‘cannon fodder’ to move aside. Izuku is freaking out a bit, while Tenya asks Katsuki to not resort to calling those they don’t even know ‘cannon fodder.’ 

A student looms over the others as he pushes himself to the front of the crowd, saying that it’s true that they came to get a look, before commenting on Katsuki’s modesty, asking if all the kids in the hero course are like him. Katsuki is looking like he’s starting to get pissed at someone talking back to him, while Tenya and Izuku in the background are shaking their hands and heads in unison, trying to be as clear as possible that they are not siding with Katsuki.

And so we get our first introduction to a fan favorite, Shinsou Hitoshi. Boy, does he look like he needs sleep for the next month.

Shinsou states that he’s somewhat disillusioned if this (referring to Katsuki) is what the hero class is offering. He then goes on to explain who those who didn’t make the hero course are stuck in general studies and the other tracks. There’s quite a few of them, did they know? At 1-a’s confusion, he continues on - depending on the results of the sports festival, the UA staff might consider transferring some of these non-hero course kids to the hero course. He understands the reverse is also possible for the hero students… 

Izuku jolts at that, no doubt panicking a bit at the idea of losing his spot. Shinsou keeps going, mentioning the scoping of the competition again because declaring that, for a general studies kid like him, this will be the perfect chance to knock the hero kids off their pedestals, and to consider this a declaration of war. 

I lobe these three, so in sync. All of them are a bit freaked out at the intensity of this, which is hilarious considering how intense Ochako was at lunchtime over this whole thing. 

Tetsutetsu (though we won’t learn his name for a little while) says he’s from class 1-b next door. He’d heard that 1-a had fought some villains, and wanted to find out more, but all he’s seeing is ‘this arrogant bastard.’ The three think of Tetsu^4 as another daredevil while he states that they better not make fools of the hero course at the event. Katsuki has no fucks to give about their commentary, while the three just get progressively more stressed to be associated with him in any way.

I love this whole page, just. They really do put up with so much because of Katsuki.

Katsuki, on his end, just starts shoving his way into the crowd. Kirishima calls him a jerk and asks what he’s doing to the rest of the class, and that thanks to him, they have a whole mob of haters now. Katsuki turns and gives Kirishima an unimpressed look, and says that he doesn’t give a crap, which has Kirishima shocked. Katsuki then says that he’s heading for the top, so why should he care?

The rest of the class is surprised and in some cases a bit moved. Kirishima is on the verge of tears as he comments on how that’s so straight-forward and manly, Tokoyami mutters about the top and how Katsuki isn’t wrong, and Sato thinks it’s well said. Kaminari is still freaking out, telling the others not to let him play them, and that all he’s doing is winning them enemies. 

Izuku has a flashback to Katsuki crying after the battle trial while declaring he’s gonna beat everyone. He calls himself an idiot as we see some of the other 1-a students waiting and talking, and then flashes back again to Ochako and Tenya’s motivations to become heroes, followed by Aizawa and Toshinori’s comments on limited time and the slight difference mattering when they emerge in society. We finally get a zoom-in on his face as he recalls Toshinori’s last words to him - the drive you felt when cleaning up the beach.

As this is the halfway point, and the rest covers the actual day of the festival, I will call it here! Next time, we get our other declaration of war in!

🪶: chill wine aunt. whenever airhead says no to something, you bet the kids will come to him and ask if he’d let them do whatever they’re not supposed to do. he’s probably gonna say yes. (think chelsea grayson, midnight)

🦇: big brother that’s not always there but still cool. nice guy but mess with him and you’ll be dead very soon. (think tsukishima akiteru, matt holt)

🥑: emo big brother. if you think 🦇 was bad, mess with this guy or his siblings and you’d end up in a body bag faster than you can say “avocado”. probably listens to “panic!at the disco”, and shops at hot topic. (think keith kogane, possibly dabi but without the psycho)

🌘: (i think i have a new favourite moon anon sorry 🌙) slightly crazy middle sibling. kinda bubbly and fun but dont mess with them unless you wanna meet a doctor cause their brothers will probably emotionally drag them to hell [y’all know who im talking about]. (think toga himiko, luke ross)

unavailable: hot side character, definitely. probably steals “the airhead show” and has multiple fan accounts. usually chill but definitely plays favourites with his brothers. [let’s just say when he’s in charge of babysitting— cause let’s be honest, airhead wouldnt let 🌘 or 🥑 in charge while he’s gone— two specific younger brothers can watch tv and eat cookies until they pass out while the rest of them have to go to bed]. (think enoshita chikara, kirishima erijo, oikawa toruu)

♾: the smart one. insecure but appears confident. probably friends with the likeable delinquent (see down below). loud sometimes when he’s enthusiastic about stuff. might take notes with matching stationary. (think tenya iida, grayson hawthorne)

🪂: likeable delinquent. chill but ends up in detention a lot probably. has a habit of making friends with the most innocent people ever and slowly convincing them to help with his pranks. (tanaka ryūnosuke, denki kaminari, jameson hawthorne)

🖕🏽: attractive encyclopedia bitch. sassy/salty as hell. will emotionally drag you to hell. probably has like 7 love interests but most of them are chased away by the brothers. anxiety baby but won’t ever admit it unless forced to. knows how much power they wield and will use it. (think nico di angelo, alex fierro, shinso hitoshi)

🎹: mad scientist brother. has experiments all over the house. dug a series of tunnels under the house and uses them to transport him, unavailable, and 🖕🏽around after curfew. airhead doesn’t know about most of these experiments. smart but fails literally all of his classes bc he either skips or ends up drunk. once blew up the freezer. (think parker rooney, ravi ross, theres 1 more i just can’t remember)
