Getting ready for the Ren Fair! I purchased a set of Wudu Nail Rings online from the OG tiktoc creator.... but they still haven't arrived so I took matters into my own nails!
As a little experiment, I made these using 12 gauge aluminum wire from Joann fabrics($4) and a wire cutter. Very easy to make and was a fun project to keep me entertained until my package arrives. Now, all that's left to do is glue the nails to the rings and see how they wear tomorrow. If I don't post an update, it probably didn't go well XD

Semi-cured gel is real gel nail polish that is cured at 60% - and designed to be applied like a sticker. The only difference between semi-cured gel nail wraps or stickers and gel nail polish is that the gel nail polish is in liquid form.

Had enough of my white wall so I dug through all my prints to decorate it last night. I'll be honest, most of it is from @die-rosastrasse ♡
#it's temporary because I want to get some artist prints too#and hopefully find a way to put nails in that extra hard wall so I can hang dry flowers again as well as some frames#but it makes me happy ♡#I need to get more stuff so I can cover more surface too

Control over time
#ramble in tags! this is my current idea for what Mao is doing in the current arc#because unlike Fumiko Mao actually cares about Denji and Nayuta outside of just being people she should be around because of her job/#agreement with Public safety. so she wouldn't abandon Nayuta in the middle of that mob like Fumiko did#anyways backtracking a bit. So when Fumiko arrived at Denji's apartment as it's being burnt down by Barem and the weapon hybrids#she brings Mao (devil form) along with her instead of the random PS backup dudes#(she went after her in the time she split from Denji and Nayuta. as before that Mao was dealing with the followers at the csm church#alongside Katana and Nail. she tried to see if she could revert the transformed humans back to normal but it's sorta like fiend logic#so she couldn't do much other than cure their injuries since they're pretty much just devils by that point)#back to present time. Fumiko sends Mako to attack Barem#she injuries and throws him to the ground but then Whip appears and makes a huge dent in a side of her head before cutting Mao in half#hence why the blood and ripped clothes she has in this drawing#so Mao is down. temporary as she isn't fully dead but can't to much other than keep moving the clock pointers around and regenerating#Barem tries to choke Nayura and Fumiko shoots him in the head. then the fight between Denji and the weapons + the subsequent mess#with the random citizens attacks him happens pretty much the same#Fumiko leaves Nayura on her own and when she looks to the side she sees Nao crawling in her direction#she asks her to give her some time and she'll be able to fight again. so Nayuta starts killing people and by the time Barem gets the mob#to go kill her Mao is back at full strength and fights back to defend her. subsequently the two of them escape#so Mao is helping Nayuta on whatever she's currently doing. if she's alive that is#if it does turn out that Nayura is dead dead then i may leave Mao with the devil hybrids for the time being. they have a weird relationship#csm#csm oc#chainsaw man#csm part 2#hyena scribbles#Mao Masashige#Nayuta csm

Shoutout to my therapist for now ending sessions with "We out here sinning! We out here suffering!" as a weirdly hopeful affirmation for me
#'We walk by faith and not by sight' is OUT#'We out here sinning and suffering' is IN#His whole thing is suffering sucks bootyass so we gotta learn how to tolerate it#You can express how much suffering sucks bootyass#and eventually you feel better. the sucking ass eventually runs out#you just gotta tolerate it in the least dangerous way you can#ideally it's have a cry and take care of yourself and rest up and so on and so forth#if it's self harm and drugs then so be it cause harm reduction#you probably aren't gonna focus on not smoking cigarettes if you're homeless and hungry#cause cigarettes make you feel less hungry and agitated#so once you get housing then we can worry about the smoking#you're probably not gonna stop self harming while in an abusive household so let's work on tolerating that while finding a way to get out#Once youre out and safe we can focus on moving from self harm to self care#ya know?#he says it's a tool. it's not the most handy tool but it is A Tool in your toolbox#you wanna add tools to your toolbox so you have more options. having no tools at all is the worst outcome#a broken hammer is better than no hammer when you need to deal with a nail right?#anyways that's it I just love my therapist I was homeless for like 2 months but I'm housed now so it's all good#he constantly reminds me of this concept but even more so until I got my temporary dorm#anyways again fuck Jesus I just moved into this dorm and I already might have to evacuate for Milton#you'll make my uncle a prophet but can't save my new mini fridge from a flood for me? fuck off dude#ex christian#religious trauma

spent most of yesterday crying but today im wearing eye makeup and fishnet tights and a fishnet top and a crop top and docs and dangly earrings and a collar from the goth store so really everything is fine now. if u think about it

Today is funny because I literally look absolutely cooked, I’m dressed appallingly, but I smell like a lush store threw up on me and my nails are not only done but kind of visible from space
#haven’t washed my hair in 3 days and it’s refusing to look okay#it’s so wispy and shitty#haven’t done my skincare so i’ve aged 10 years overnight#i’m wearing sweatpants that are too big for me and a t-shirt that is about 8 years old and has reindeers on it#but my nails are like FULL BEAT#mooncat ‘a most destructive melody’ which is just.. so extra. dark multichrome shimmer#i smell like i bathed in lavender. because i did#i’m about to walk into the dentist’s and they’ll be like what is going on with this person#why does she look terrible but smell awesome. is she a hand model#i can’t even pass as a hand model because i’m in the middle of an eczema flare. which is also contributing to my face looking crazy#anyway. let’s get this over with#my kingdom for a temporary filling and some easy projects this afternoon#personal

My dad: if I ever get to a point to where I'm behaving like your grandma (mom's side), just put me down.
Me: I'm sure California will adopt Canada's MAID policies by the time you're that age.
#for context she has been fighting tooth and nail about going into assisted living#she was actually very fortunate that one of my aunts has basically been able to help her ever since my grandpa was injured#but her husband got back surgery in november and still isnt recovered enough to be by himself#and now my mom and her other sisters just have run out of means to care for her in her house#which my mom has primarily been doing since november#the plan is that this will be temporary until my aunt can care for her again#(which i dont think my uncle will ever fully recover from the surgery)#but yeah my grandma has been yelling at my mom and aunts constantly because of this

#it is IMPERATIVE that i do not chew on my nails or cuticles today!#tomorrow i'm getting gel extensions for the first time ever#because i want to break this habit and stop having ugly weird hands lol#so i don't want them any more fucked up than they already are before a professional sees them 🫣#my wife is like ur too gay for nail extensions and i'm like IT'S TEMPORARY OKAY#just for a couple months! ive been biting my nails my WHOLE LIFE#so i DESERVE to break this habit once and for all lol#and maybe I'm too gay for extensions but more importantly I'm too old for these chewed up nails 😭#and i have two small children taking example from me so i really need to stop#i'm not getting talons anyway. i don't think it's even possible to put a long extension on my currently tiny nail beds lol#theyre gonna be short and cute#just extended to normal person length and not 'have been shortening my nail bed for decades' length#anyway i'm writing about this to really drill into my brain that i CANNOT FUCK UP MY NAILS TODAY

Mixed Media Question!
Have any of you used nail polish on acrylic paint? Or between layers of acrylic paint? I've been trying to search it but my google-fu isn't doing well differentiating between acrylic paint and acrylic nails.
So I have lots of things saying it's fine to use nail polish on acrylic nails, but not it's behavior on dry acrylic paint, or if it's a stable base.
I was thinking it could be interesting to use some of my nail stamps to create a layer between my paint pour layer and my painting layer, but I'm a slow painter so really don't want to lose that much work.
I guess similarly, has anyone used masking fluid on acrylic paint? I was going to use it to try to keep the polish corralled...
