I know teen girls are stereotyped to self diagnose with all kinds of personality disorders ("OMG I'm so bipolar" kind of vibe) but do they actually do that? And when they do do they actually believe that they have it? I'm asking this AS a teen kind-of-girl

Because on one hand if they actually believe it I'd understand because idk estrogen makes me gen feel like I'm going fucking insane sometimes. I'm not really a mentally healthy person, I'm prone to depressive episodes and I've been passively suicidal for most of my life, I've had OCD since I was like 7 and I've struggled with SH, so maybe it's just my autism brain thinking that everyone's being literal about that. But idk I've felt like... like a danger to myself before just on the basis of "I'm not normally in this good of a mood, my blood feels like it's dancing, if I jumped off the school balcony i bet I'd survive" and while I know that that's not true and I'd DIE i feel like i have 2 brains, the irrational emotional one, and the logical "you will die don't be a dumbass"/"you're being paranoid relax" one. And when I'm feeling irrational I get scared because I dont feel like i can trust myself to not do something dangerous.

But on the other if they don't mean it its caused me to think a lot of "phases" is normal. Like I was actively suicidal when I was 12 and when i watched a movie about a 12 year old girl that was depressed and a doctor said "being 12 is just one of those ages" I assumed it meant that being suicidal was a normal part of growing up and it'd go away in time.

- Chang Ping is said to be the head of the clan at the time of the Chang massacre. This is probably where the semi common headcanon that Chang Ci'an was already dead by then comes from. Also, since Chang Ping is referred to as a fairly young and inexperienced cultivator, it would be reasonable to guess that Chang Ci'an hadn't been dead for very long. also the historic aspect just seems very...wishful-thinking, i guess? chapuys as the white knight, protector, when all chapuys really was, in the end, was someone that gave her false hope and promises/ed (escape, reinstatement) what was ultimately not within his power, and/or diplomatic skill/pull, to grant. she does seem to have really relied on him 1533-36 but shortly thereafter she didn't speak with him much anymore, which is always a choice that is attributed to henry to infantilize her (she can never make an independent choice, it must always come from fear, this woman that was by all accounts, quite brave and didn't suffer fools) and conveniently, as always, villainize her father, to never acknowledge the possibility she might simply have just been disappointed/become disillusioned with/by chapuys; or it's attributed to the exeter conspiracy, ignoring that mary distancing herself from chapuys happened beforehand.

Squeezing his eyes shut tighter, he pulled the pillow over his head.

There was blissful silence for a moment. Before…

The teenager let out an oof as he was jumped on. He covered his face with his arms as the small girl snatched his pillow and started whacking him with it.

With another dramatic groan, he sat up, picking Teruko up and depositing her on the ground next to his bed.

“What?”

“I’m bored! Play with me!”

“Can’t it wait until morning? I was training with Tecchou all day. And it’s like three in the morning.”

This information didn’t seem to phase the pink-haired girl, who was already climbing back onto his bed to harass him.

She was already tugging on his arm again, trying to drag him out of bed. With one final pull, she managed, accidentally flinging him to the floor.

Ever since he’d started pestering the higher ups to let him overtake the mafia infiltration mission, he’d been busier than ever with training.

He trailed off, looking around. The interior of the shed was decorated with string lights. A few posters hung on the walls. Two deflated bean bag chairs were placed on the dusty floor in front of a small table, on which sat a vase of hyacinths.

“This is…”

“Ta-da! The Teruko and Tachihara secret base! So that way we can meet up, even when you’re away with the mafia!”

Tachihara was silent for a moment, taking it in. It was a bit of a mess, and definitely assembled from random piece of furniture Teruko had found lying around, but…

He felt his eyes starting to water.

Teruko practically deflates.

“You could just say you don’t like it…”

He kneels down, pulling her into a tight hug. After a confused moment, she hugs him back.

“I’m gonna miss you so much…”

“Tachihara, you dolt. That’s why we have this place! Didn’t you listen to a word I said!?”

“Yeah…and we can hang out plenty when I come back for my surgeries.”

“And we can go on missions and save the world together.”

“Yeah. And save Jouno from dealing with the captain’s stench.”

“I like his stench!”

“You would.”

Passersby that night would see a small shed, a bit worn down and broken, but still cozy and full of love on the inside. Curled up inside were two kids, siblings in this cruel world, peacefully sleeping. Looking at them, it was almost possible to believe everything would turn out alright.

“…it’s…cozy.”

“You could just say you don’t like it.”

“I don’t dislike it. It’s just…”

Tecchou looked around, taking in the clutter amassed over the past six years. He glanced down at the pile of stale chips his foot was buried in.

“We didn’t really have time to clean it before everything went down.”

Tachihara was sitting on one of the beanbags, knees tucked up to his chest. He was poking at one of the lights that was dangling from where the tape had fallen off.

“…I’m sorry. If I was there…”

“I said I don’t wanna talk about it.”

“…right. I just mean that-“

“Tecchou.”

One of the nails ripped out of the wall, curling and bending unnaturally as Tachihara clenched his fists. He glared at Tecchou with those cloudy eyes that reminded the older hunting dog so much of Jouno.

Unsure of how to respond, Tecchou awkwardly ducked past a few handmade decorations and plopped down on the other beanbag chair. He did his best to ignore the cloud of dust that flew up as he sat.

“I know you don’t want to talk. We don’t have to.”

He looked down at his once-shiny boots, now smeared with crumbs and dust.

“…I miss them.”

“Me too.”

“…I wish I was there. I wish it was me who died instead.”

Tecchou closed his eyes. The words hurt to hear, but…

“I understand. I feel the same way.”

If he had listened to Tachihara that day. If he had followed Jouno in the airport. If he hadn’t been so blinded that he’d left Teruko and the captain alone…

Tecchou shuffled a bit closer, wincing at the sound of the beanbag squelching under his weight. He wrapped one arm around the younger hunting dog’s shoulders, pulling him into a half hug.

“…what are you doing?”

“Comforting you. Is it working?”

After a moment, Tachihara nodded, leaning into the hug.

“…I wanna fix this place up. Not that I’d be able to see it, but…it’s what Teruko would’ve wanted.”

“I’ll help you. But not now. Right now, you should rest.”

Tachihara curled closer, pulling Tecchou’s cloak around himself.

They stayed like that for a while, the last remaining soldiers of a unit doomed and almost forgotten by the rest of the world.

Still, despite how it seemed on the outside, inside the small shed, it was possible that people could heal. And things would be alright.

Ouffff well I gotta be honest I probably won’t have as many headcanons about them as I did for the daughters in law of Daeron and Myriah- but I’m more than happy to share my thoughts about them!

Falena Stokeworth

Thoughts: Groomer!!! Get lost lady you’re literally his dad’s age!!!!! Should’ve locked her up in Harrenhall and thrown away the key maybe!

Headcanons: Honestly I think canon already kind of spells it out for us given her age relative to his own, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she was preying on Aegon’s whole mommy issues deal in order to get into a relationship with him. Pain and suffering all around.

Thoughts: Honestly poor girl she deserved sooo much better :( pretty sure her whole deal was supposed to be another commentary on how nobility don’t actually give a shit about the smallfolk even when they’re lovers and all that, but goddamn I just feel bad for her :(

Cassella Vaith

Thoughts: Ngl another girl who deserved so much better- it’s kind of weird how they give her a description but not the other mistresses but hey who am I to judge- makes her easier to draw ig?

Headcanons: Oh she was absolutely psychologically tortured during her time with Aegon because that man is notttt capable of being nice to any woman. I imagine the reason she wasn’t married off after being returned home was because of how traumatized she was

Bellegere Otherys

Thoughts: Okay this may sound stupid as hell given all the shit I talked about Aegon prior to this but like…. Idc, I support her decisions in choosing one of the most rancid men in Westeros to be her lover. In her defense!!!! Pickings for royalty were very slim- her only other options were a former teen dad who’s still hung up on his ex wife and is always busy trying (and failing) to keep his nephews from dying, a member of the kingsguard who’s obsessed with his own sister, and Baelor, of course she was gonna go for Aegon! Bellegere can get the one exception because I think pirate women are really cool and tbh I think she’s also the only one who was with him for funsies before dropping his ass like a sack of potatoes when he got too annoying for her

Headcanons: Ngl I kinda like to think her daughter Nahra took up the whole trading/smuggling/pirating business after her, and Bellegere got to retire and chill in Braavos watching all the shit go down with the Blackfyre rebellions. Good for her <3

Barba Bracken

Thoughts: I mean…. She’s a bitch, but tbh she kinda deserved better too. Even if she is meant to be a bad person, she was also just a teenager when Aegon began sleeping with her and was mostly pushed forward by her own dad, and its sad that she then continued the cycle of abuse to her own sister :(

Headcanons: I kinda like to think she and Daena had a very toxic frenemy-ship, that’s my main reasoning to explain why Aegor was so loyal to Daemon lmao

Melissa Blackwood

Thoughts: I mean, she’s one of Naerys’ only canonical female friends so she gets an automatic like in my books. And also kinda funny that the Bracken/Blackwood slap fight actually caused another Targ civil by just pushing their female relatives in front of a horny king. She absolutely deserved so much better

Headcanons: I refuseeee to believe she died in childbirth, in my head she’s also retired chilling in Raventree Hall with her daughters and occasionally got updates from Brynden about the war crimes he was committing <3

Bethany Bracken

Thoughts: Deserved so, SO much better. Mr lord Bracken sir I will see you in HELL!!!!!

Thoughts: Only thing I have to say is…. Absolutely gothic horror girlie because holy shit. My god. Was George intentionally writing her story to be horrifying or was it a weird fetish- I’m hoping to god it was the former. Anyways she absolutely deserved so much better than all the adults in her life

Headcanons: For added flavor aka more horror! I do headcanon her to actually be Aegon’s daughter, and I believe Danelle was either her daughter or granddaughter because- well, we do definitely need to sprinkle in some more cursed bloodline shit to the house that’s already doomed cause they’re living in Harrenhall, yippe :))

Thoughts: Boring as hellllll that she died from childbirth like- COME ON!!! Let the lady die from implosion, or slipping on a banana peel or something!!! Also kinda sucks that we barely know anything else about her! I want the lore George!!!

Headcanons: Due to lack of lore, I’m stealing someone else’s previous headcanon that she’s actually a Hightower bastard because 1. Absolutely hilarious and is absolutely the level of hustling scam-artistry that I would expect during Aegon’s reign, and 2. Kinda explains her whole deal- why Jon even brought her to court, why we know nothing about her past, why she’s so distant and kinda secretive. Update on my Jon Matteson Hatchetfield family tree-

Roman Murray is Paul's enstranged father (yep, he's a bastard child ig). Roman has two other siblings who are the parents of Gary Goldstein, the Secretary of Defense, and Boy Jerry. Gary and the Sceretary are brothers. Jerry is an only child. These four all still very much hate each other-

Richie and Trevor are twins and the children of Paul's deceased cousin from his mother's side and had no one else to take them in so Paul became a single dad of two teenagers at 28 or something. Daniel (Stopwatch) is the Secretary's son who likes to sneak out of their house because he's often left alone by his busy parents, they don't know he participates in an underground fighting ring or the fact that he has powers. These three love spending time with each other very much, they are bros for life <3

They are descendants of the Waylons who Wiggly favors and maybe... probably... most likely, put a curse on their bloodline to see them suffer because he likes that.

Okay, picture Spider getting hella sunburnt, not really realizing, and then waking up the next day and cracking his back, only for his skin to crack and peel as he stretched. Everyone promptly starts freaking out, including Spider, who has never actually gotten such a bad sunburn before (he was raised in the forest, never spent all day in the sun, and I think it'd be kinda like Florida vs Michigan sunshine. The further south you are, the easier you'll get tan, cause of science and shit).

I think the panicking would end one of a few ways. First, Tonowari hunts down Jake, who's somehow the resident expert on humans, and tells him how Spider's skin is peeling off. Cue Jake also panicking, because based on the description he thinks Spider's somehow gotten third degree burns or some parasite that's making his skin falls off. When he gets to the medical tent and sees a very red teenager on the brink of tears, he's very confused. (Jake: Did you forget to put on sunscreen? Spider: that gunk the lab guys always made me wear? I stopped using that a while ago Jake: well, this is what happens when you don't listen to Max and Norm. Suffer.)

Another option is them flat-out keeping Spider inside until they can figure out what's going on. Except, after a few days the skin returns to normal-ish, albeit a little pink. When it happens again, they're convinced he's got some sort of allergy, so they start doing the Na'vi version of an allergy panel trying to figure out what's wrong. Eventually, they reach out to the humans, hoping to get one of those bioscanner things to test what's clearly toxic to their human son, and one of the lab guys explains it's sunburn.

So a normal average person engaging with arcane and seeing the conflict pertaining Jinx as ‘monstrous’ vs ‘healthy’ sees the situation in like, the normal way these things really work but I don’t think this outlook should be projected onto the characters.

This meta is motivated by me remembering how ppl would often frame the conflict between Vi and Silco as ‘Vi wants Jinx to be healthy and Silco wants her to be monstrous’ and honestly idk why I didn’t write this earlier, I guess I didn’t care cos there were a lot of bad takes flying around back then but I wanna talk about it now.

My thesis is that both Silco and Vi want Jinx to change in some ways and the simple way of saying it is ‘come out Powder’/’Powder must die’ but I’d argue another way of describing the conflict is seeing Jinx’s mental issues and not seeing them, but in opposite ways ig.

It’s a bizarre take to say Silco doesn’t see or understand Jinx’s issues or that he doesn’t want to solve them. The shared trauma is literally the basis for their bond and overcoming trauma is literally at the core of Silco’s ideology. Silco is the character who’s shown to be the most aware of Jinx’s issues and who helps her the most. He in his lair surrounded himself in water and Jinx in her lair surrounds herself with memorabilia of her family, both things that would trigger them but this environment shows that they exposure therapy-ed their way through it. Jinx gets a PTSD flashback from tinkering with the arcane and she goes to Silco for comfort and he takes her to where he suffered his trauma and literally gives her a pep talk about becoming a stronger person and it works! and Jinx goes back to tinkering with the arcane unafraid, and of course the finale where he seems aware that Jinx is in distress while Vi isn’t. Then there’s other things like how she helps him take shimmer or her space in the rafters, both things that would convey that she is needed and trusted, so things that would appease her insecurities and abandonment issues. These are small things but they convey that Silco is aware of Jinx’s issues and models their relationship and environment in order to adjust it to her needs. So basically Silco wants Jinx to be monstrous AND healthier cos he perceives these as the same thing. Based on his dialogue being a monster = being stronger = being a new person = not being the old, weak and afraid person = overcoming your traumatic past.

Conversely Vi has a lot of throwaway lines like ‘and I thought Powder could get obsessed’ and also just from her behavior in act 1, even tho we can already tell smth is wrong with Powder Vi seems oblivious to it, or she underestimates how bad it is. She gives her advice but it seems like general advice one would give to any younger sibling. Powder has a violent panic attack (? or maybe meltdown?) and it seems Vi didn’t anticipate it, she never sees it happen and then after the fact she never learns it even happened. When they’re little we the audience take notice of how Powder has no reaction to their parents’ corpses but Vi doesn’t. We the audience see her excitedly waiting for her bomb to pepper a teenager with nails but Vi doesn’t. And so Vi has these memories of Powder as being just a normal little girl and that there was nothing wrong about her, and seeing Jinx of course she initially assumes Jinx faked loyalty in order to survive only to switch to believing Silco got her brainwashed and mind-controlled so bad that she has to physically remove Jinx from his presence/influence to get through to her, the REAL her. She essentially wrongly assumes Powder used to be ‘normal’ and works off of that false assumption, and imo that’s a huge part of the sisters’ misunderstanding. She sees Jinx enjoy violence but I highly doubt Vi sees this and like the audience thinks of possible diagnosis, I think what she thinks/notices is that her sister acts immorally, so it’s less about her health and more about morals, ‘this is bad cos my sister’s kinda a bad person now, Silco corrupted her’. The tricky thing here are the hallucinations, several times Jinx speaks to no one and Vi has no reaction whatsoever to this and so it’s hard to judge why that is but my thinking is that she’s just too stressed out and overwhelmed in these situations to address this. Cos it’s not like Vi ever has a line like ‘I need to take Powder away from Silco cos he treats her so badly she has hallucinations now’ so like I said, no reaction to the hallucinations in the moment and then later she never has any thoughts about them like she didn’t even notice. And then we’ve got the finale where she triggers Jinx and doesn’t even know it.

But obvs it’s not a one person is completely wrong and another is completely right situation. 

Silco’s understanding of Powder’s mental health issues and his own experience make him think that Jinx’s ‘monstrous’ aspects are good actually, the exact same way he thinks about himself, he in his mind likely equates them, the cruelty, the lack of empathy, the power-seeking to a sense of independence, protection from further trauma, protection from panic attacks etc. so he completely lacks understanding of Jinx’s issues (that maybe aren’t directly a matter of mental illnesses depending on whether you interpret Jinx to have APD but influence her mental state negatively anyway).

Meanwhile Vi has no understanding of all of the mental health issues Powder suffered from however that also makes it extremely clear to her when she comes back that there’s smth wrong with her sister. So even tho she never talks about ‘Powder getting better’, so again from Vi’s pov it’s not about mental health, she has great understanding that Jinx’s current issues are issues that need solving.

So de facto the whole ‘retrieving Powder’ vs ‘letting Powder die’ boils down to removing the part of Jinx/Powder that’s bad for her and based on the characters’ different perspectives on Jinx they want her to either move on from the trauma that was being Powder or erase the corruption of the Jinx persona.

Obvs both are wrong <3, Vi idealizes the image of Powder, her sister, and Silco idealizes the image of Jinx, his daughter, and right now they’re in competition over her and they’re not about to lose lol.

✎ Commentary of Ep 6 ~ The Loyal Pin (Thai GL-2024) - Part 1

Yeah... Pretty much this episode was full of (squeaking sound) and Princesses rolling in bed like lovesick teenagers. I mean, look at Anin’s face. She did it! She won lesbianism and achieved the impossible, got her woman.

Congratulations, Princess! You’re one step ahead of all of us 😭👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

This is gonna be a long one again. I’d recommend get comfortable as I catch up!

We start right where we left off and Oh. My. God. They’re the cutest, softest, hottest, i can’t even explain how much I loved this scene. It’s just so 🤌🏼

First they’re kissing, nonstop and all of a sudden Pin stops and pull away softly—out of breath. Anil asks what’s wrong (in the softest tone of voice, mind you) and Pin says she couldn’t breathe.

Like, girl. Anil. Chill~ 🥴

Anil giggles as you can see in the picture above and does, and says the craziest thing. First she kiss Pin on the forehead calling her adorable (how dare she!) and THEN SHE SAYS: I promise I’ll be very gentle…

Girrlll. I told you to chill!!

She’s insane. That was just the beginning and I was dying already!

Then they go on with the kisses (the damn kisses. That we here loud and clear)

Anil doesn’t waste any time and as she devours Pin she starts undressing her. The way she does it tho (I’m hyperventilating) she slides that tiny little strip off her shoulder in such a gracious way I felt like she was undressing me. Got shy and all. HELP.

And Pin just lets her, she lets her do whatever the princess wants and oh, she’s starving. She’s been starving for years!

Anyway, Anil continues now kissing down Pin’s neck and can i take a moment to appreciate how beautiful Freen’s hair just flows on her back like waterfall??? ART. God, she’s gorgeous!

Then we have Anil going lower and lower and I’m losing it a bit more and more. Wondering how far the Princess’ knowledge will take us…

She lays Pin down, very softly very gently just as she said she will!

And well, what can I say. I’m impressed on how vast Anil’s knowledge is! The boarding school has clearly teach her some important things! Such a great investment for the crown and the government ig (I’m not sure how Thai royalty worked back then)

The way Anil look at Pin throughout the entire scene?? The way Pin holds onto her neck as she smiles all bliss-out?? Losing my goddamn mind.

Then we got the morning after 🙌🏼

Anil, instead, she doesn’t only want to kiss Pin on the cheek. Nope. She wants to devour her. Are we even surprised? She just did that the previous night…

They’re so soft. I love the way they look at each other. The way they smile at each other. Bumping the other’s nose? Pecking the other and kissing her hand? Got me giggling and shit 😔

And finally resting her head on her chest once again. Just kill me please.

I can’t bare this suffering that is being single and lonely anymore 😭😭😭

Then we go on with the day and they miss each other as the clingy pair that they are. Anil misses Pin so much she goes and help her with her chores. If that’s not true love I don’t know what it is 😅

They have a cute little moment under the freshly washed sheets and omg they’re so in love!

Once they’re done with the chores (I think) they go on a cute little date, holding hands and sharing food. I’m not sure if this montage is real or their imagination but it’s cute.

Everything in this episode it’s just fucking cute, at least till the two first parts.
