Honestly ever since first hearing about the movie I’ve wanted to write our girl in, even more so when I heard who was coming back and who wasn’t looking at you dob🥺 Plus after the final trailer I am even more looking forward to watching it. However, even with the excitement I’m already leaning towards it’ll probably need to be rewritten with Staddy actually being in it🙈

Obviously I will have a better idea after I watch it, and if inspiration even comes to me, so I will definitely let you know what my plan is… especially if it’s something you guys want to see from me💛

I NEED a formal apology for being weirded out by sterek because I just saw some shit with Tyler Hoachlen talking about how inconsistent his characters age is.

AND UPON REWATCH IT ISSSS!!! At the beginning Stiles openly States Derek is just a few years older than them (presumably 2-3 max), but as the show goes on I SWEAR they start treating this man like he's in his thirties!!

AND I KNOW y'all are gonna mention how Crystal Reed was older than Tyler Hoechlin and it's trueeee, but it's all about the perception. None of them were actually highschool age but we perceived them to be and then Derek just like kept getting older and older.

By the end he was pretty solidly roped in with the adults. In my mind there was the pack (Scott and the gang), the adult pack (parents+ Derek), and the puppy pack (you all know who all that refers to).

Basically my dumbass with short term memory forgot that Stiles literally says Derek is a few years older than him, and I got confused about the legitimacy of these fictional characters relationship.

Oh, when I first wrote it, it was more on the fic's vibe, I didn't mean for it to become a thing, but at this point I am deeply invested in the concept of the Hale Pack moving to London.

It's just so... clean? Like, the McCall Pack has all the Canon Plot Shit happen in Beacon Hills, but the Hale Pack got written off one by one.

And the first one was Jackson, who left for London.

So for Peter, Derek and Cora who would not fucking leave her brother again after they just got reunited and he literally gave up his Alpha Spark to save her damn life, thank you very much, to leave for some place and, with no real place they all have a connection to, to go to London, where Derek's first beta was living? Why not. Pack bonds.

And when Chris and Isaac leave Beacon Hills, why shouldn't they end up in London too later on, after Isaac hears about the slow gathering of Hale Pack.

Additionally, I have developed the headcanon that Boyd and Erica did run away together and are just bouncing from pack to pack. Until they hear about the reforming Hale Pack and, with the time they all had to heal and grow, finding their permanent place with them.

Every member of the Hale Pack was written out of this show and I will be damned if I don't keep them together. And sure! Keeping them in Beacon Hills and having both packs side by side is an option, but... quite frankly? After all the fucking trauma and grief and loss this town has cost them all? Fuck it. Start new somewhere else. Especially when your family's territory has been taken over by a teenager, you deserve to not have to be witness to that, you deserve to leave and start anew in a new place and grow and heal.

Watch me make "the Hale Pack Moves to London" a proper damn tag on AO3, even if I have to do it alone.

Stiles took a deep breath, and lifted up another plastic tote that was full of relics from...well, his entire fucking life up until now. It was heavy in more ways than one. First, he had packed way too many books in this one so physically he felt like his elbows and shoulder joints were stretched to their max with overburden.

Moving out of the house he grew up in was an entirely different kind of overburden. Knowing he wouldn't be dragged into the land of the living by his frustrated Father ever again, knowing he wouldn't know the sweet spot for the hot water in his new shower, and knowing that Scott wouldn't be in walking distance if he needed him had hit him in periodic freight train realizations over the last few days as he packed up everything.

He walked out of his room and down the stairs slowly, making sure to plant the soles of his shoes firmly on each stair, desperate to not relive the nightmare he had last night that had him tumbling out of bed and smacking his face directly onto the floor. Derek had grumbled quietly at the loss of contact, but was so used to the general commotion that was sharing a bed with Stiles that he hadn't even opened an eye. Stiles was not impressed, but he eventually pushed himself up off the ground and back into his single bed, which was mostly full of his very sleepy werewolf boyfriend.

The younger man scoffed at the memory and when he got to the bottom of the stairs, and laid the tote down with all the others. Derek was supposed to be back with the moving van shortly, and then they were leaving, driving across the country to the loft apartment that a realtor had picked out, and fully furnished for them at Derek's request. MIT was scary, but at least he would have a nice place to live.

"How many mortgages do you think I would be able to pay off with all the library books in there that the library will never see again?" His Dad snarked from the kitchen doorway. He was holding a bowl of cereal in one hand, and leaning against the door jam with a huge smile on his face.

"Listen, my learning is very important!" Stiles chuckled for a moment, and then stopped short. His face became visibly distressed. "Dad..I'm going to miss you so much."

"I know Son, but you can come back whenever you want. This will always be your home."

And Stiles believed him.

I think what I hate most about the Teen Wolf movie is that there were at least three instances where Scoot was parenting Eli and basically stealing formative moments from Derek in an attempt to endear the audience to an Eli and Scoot relationship and prime us to accept Scoot adopting Eli….

Crime #1: growling in Eli’s face to get him to transform??? What dude? How does that even work when Eli faints at the sight of a transformation? And if it’s that easy then Eli should have transformed anytime Derek flashed his eyes. It’s so messed up because Derek would have LOVED to be there for his first transformation, even just partial, but it was ripped from him bc Scoot wanted to be Mr. Alpha badass.

And no, I don’t think Derek guiding Eli through his first beta shift makes it better because Derek should have had the opportunity to guide him from his very first shift and help him maintain that shift so he could do it at will.

And don’t try to tell me it was necessary because super strong and fast alpha wolves should be able to carry fifteen year old scrawny boys.

And super strong and fast alpha werewolves should be able to outrun their half dead ex girlfriend without breaking a sweat.

And don’t get me started on Derek being injured. Actually I will get started!

when you consider Derek was originally hurt bc Scoot didn’t just go after Allison with his fast werewolf speed or sniff her out with his super werewolf nose tells you all you need to know about Scoot and his connection to his werewolf. he won’t be a great wolf teacher BECAUSE HE DOESNT KNOW SHIT. And I am blaming him (for the reasons above) for Derek being injured in the first place, so Scott set the whole stealing Eli’s first transformation from Derek thing into motion.

Crime #2: Derek is basically begging Eli to practice with him, but Scoot is the one who gets to play with Eli?? No way. That’s stupid. I reject it

Crime #3: DEREK DIDNT GET TO WATCH ELI PLAY OR MAKE THE WINNING SHOT??? After he convinced coach to give him some time on the field?? Blasphemous.

ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING he was only prevented from doing so bc of some stupid shit that didn’t even really involve him?? Like none of that shit was his business???

It’s like Jeff is trying to make Derek seem like a bad parent who doesn’t know how to help his own son and Scoot is a natural born parenting genius. He posits all these moments of good parenting but gifts them to Scoot instead of Derek. Derek is trying and trying and instead of having even one scene where Derek and Eli aren’t being standoffish and frustrated, Jeffery attempts to give us some easy as pie, natural, buddy-buddy relationship with Scoot and Eli.

we were given crumbs for Derek and Eli’s relationship and it’s sick, really.

And I will never forgive Scoot for being tongue deep with Allison THE MOMENT Derek is BURNED TO DEATH (a crime punishable by life in prison)and RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIS GRIEVING SON (have some class! You’re thirty or whatever!)

There are so many more crimes in this movie but I’m trying not to remember the movie at all, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
