You walked into the house tired and absolutely beat. Maybe this pirate life was a little too much for you. The opportunity to be around Law more - seeing as he was your captain - sounded nice, but you rarely saw him. He always ended up going on his own missions or just stayed cooped up in his office. You found yourself spending more time with Bepo than your own boyfriend.

You threw yourself onto the couch in your own room and sighed. You were hungry but didn't think you had it in you to get up and make yourself something to eat. Maybe you could just sleep everything off.

But just as you felt yourself dozing off, your door creaked open and you turned to see Law stick his face in.

"Sorry," he mumbled, not moving from his spot. "Just wanted to see if you were asleep."

"You can come in." you told him, sitting up.

It had been a month and not even so much as a hello. Just like him. You couldn't help but giggle to yourself a bit.

"What's so funny?" he asked, sitting next to you and kindly handing you a plate of food he brought.

You thanked him and took a bite out of your food like it was your last meal. "Just your face." you chuckled.

"Shut up." he adjusted his hat so you could barely see his eyes.

After another bite, you set your plate aside and hugged Law. He was warm and smelled like firewood.

"I missed you." he said quietly.

"I missed you more." you whispered.

Law pulled away from the hug and grabbed your chin softly. He placed a kiss onto your lips and continued to leave little kisses along your cheeks.

You smiled and closed your eyes as he kept kissing you, and before you knew it, you were out cold in his arms.

The initial sleepiness that Kaede was feeling after a very long and fun night of partying, melted away in a new wave of excitement when Mondo proposed the idea of having breakfast together at a waffle place, wiggling happily in his arms when he had picked her up. Trying new eateries that she hadn't been to before was one of her most favorite things to do, even moreso with someone else; that someone being her favorite biker, making it all the more better!

Even as she rides in the passenger seat in his motorcycle, Kaede wasn't afraid. After all, it wasn't a bicycle; that's different! Plus, she's gotten a little bit used to it, and with Mondo always making sure she's okay while riding in it; she knew she had nothing to fear. In fact, she was all smiles as she watches the passing scenery. "Ahh, I'm so excited to try this place out! I can't remember the last time I had some waffles; I can't wait to see what different kinds they have~! I know you said you heard of it, so will this be your first time trying it, too, Mondo?" She asks while looking up at him with a curious headtilt and smile!

Melody!

It was strange to Thancred how quickly life returned to routine after the events of the Praetorium. It didn't even take that long for him to recover from his ordeal, at least physically. Mentally, he had enough work to do that he didn't have time to dwell on anything, which is how he preferred it. For the moment, he was reviewing the various reports on the Amalj'aa from the Immortal Flames over breakfast. He sighed and shook his head. Routine, he recalled, included strife, and it would seem he would have to call upon Rowan and her friends to ensure that the Lord of the Inferno wouldn't start to wreak havoc upon the land.

Thancred found Thorsthal and Khaliun talking over some chain mail that the large Au'ri woman needed mended, and both received the news with a grim nod. A'quexta was gathering a few plates for herself and her comrades and was humming a familiar tune.

"Is that Tam Lin that you're humming?" Thancred asked before getting to the news that she needed to fight another Primal.

"Oh, is that the song? Rowan must have been humming it and it rubbed off on me," A'quexta said. "D'ya need to talk to her?"

After relaying the news to the conjurer, Thancred started through the Waking Sands to find the elusive bard. He smiled as he heard the melody of the ballad through the hall and into the common room. He couldn't help but smile as he heard it bounce around in various voices and even in whistling.

Eventually he found Rowan in the library, humming the song to herself while wandering through the shelves. She found a book on the top shelf and picked it out with only a stretch. She jumped when she turned and saw Thancred.

"Oh, I didn't see you there," she said, holding the book to her chest. "Is there aught you need to tell me?"

"Two things - Ifrit's likely to be summoned again soon, if the Immortal Flames are to be believed," he said.

She gave a worried hum. "What's the other thing?"

"Only that you've infected the entire building with your melody, dear bard. I didn't realize you had a such talent for song." Thancred gave a rakish grin, hoping to win a blush from Rowan.

She did, in fact, give him one. "I, uh... oh, goodness, truly?"

Thancred laughed. "Tis a compliment, sweet lady. And any sort of levity is welcome these days, I'd say."

"Ah, I suppose... do A'quexta, Thorsthal, and Khaliun know about Ifrit?"

"They do. If you haven't broken your fast, I'd say do it now before you head over."

She nodded, then turned to wave at Urianger in the corner before leaving. Thancred saw him grace her with a smile before he returned to his work. After pulling up a chair and resting his chin on his hands, Thancred sighed.

"I know they're up to the task but... I still feel so much trepidation sending our heroes out to slay gods. Especially when they could be filling our halls with melodies instead," Thancred said.

Urianger gave an affirmative ehm-hm without looking up from his papers. "Would that a less noble spirit be able to take up the mantle of the Warrior of Light. Alas, we may yet surmise that tis from her gentle and kind nature that Rowan developed such abilities as to protect us all."

Funny, I hadn't singled her out in my statement. Thancred smiled and clapped his friend on the shoulder before leaving to fulfill his other tasks. "I suppose you're right. So, in her absence, I shall carry her song through our halls."

Despite his goggles and cowl, Thancred could tell that Urianger rolled his eyes, but Thancred started to sing regardless.

"I forbid ye maidens all..."

Urianger gave a small contented chuckle to himself. Thancred was healing. It had been moons since he heard the man sing, even before he had been possessed by the Ascian. I pray that he may yet have more cause to sing in the coming days.

He found himself humming the melody again as he worked. Urianger hadn't intended for Rowan to catch the tune, but he enjoyed her rendition nevertheless, even if it did come back to himself.

Luffy’s epiphany “I’m in love with Sanji” moment happens when Sanji takes a two day trip to grab food supplies. Sanji made sure to leave plenty of food he’d already prepared in the fridge for Luffy and the others so they wouldn’t miss any meals while he was gone. Out of sheer habit Luffy barges into the galley shouting SANJI FOOD and just. Goes real quiet when he remembers that Sanji isn’t there. The rest of the crew notice while he’s eating that he seems super mopey, and they’re like hey what’s wrong, you have food, it’s Sanji’s cooking, what’s the big deal? And Luffy’s like yeah but it’s not the SAME. Because Sanji isn’t here. And they’re like ??? and Luffy’s realizing it’s not just Sanji’s food that he likes, it’s SANJI, and Sanji’s not there right now so he’s sad bc he misses him. It’s not the same to eat his food and not have him be there to serve it. It’s not the same since he’s not in the kitchen cooking and Luffy can’t sit and watch him in his element. It’s not the same bc Luffy can’t tell him how delicious it is and watch his reaction (he always gets super flustered and pleased and it’s CUTE). The food’s still yummy but it’s lacking one very important ingredient: Sanji!! Sanji’s not THERE and Luffy misses him so so so much. Cue him pouting and sulking around the ship for the next two days waiting for Sanji to come home. It’s literally that one SpongeBob line “What did you do while I was gone?” “Wait for you to come back 🥺🥺🥺” Luffy now knows he’s found something he loves more than food and that’s the cook that makes food for him. GOD. They make me ill

rose would get the shinigami eyes 100% like no hesitation. dirk ofc wouldnt. he tries to get hal to just do it for him but naturally he wouldnt tell him shit. i think for the sake of prolonging their mutual cluelessness of eachothers status, rose lives in ny and dirk in tx and it would be funny as shit for them to like have a family get together and freak tf out.

roxy and dave r obvs human and i think it would be fun if the cherubs were also shinigami. caliborn and hal are like best friends bc no one likes them and cal keeps trying to steal dirk which makes hal smack his lil pizza hands. callie is trying to get kanaya to drop this bs and shes like no lol i finally get some new fabric to play with (plus this human is kinda…). callie knows caliborn is up to some dubious world ending shit and is trying to stop that before it starts (she also got a major one sided girl crush on roxy who doesnt know she exists and therefore doesnt want anything bad happening to the lalondes).
