I feel that. Been using nitter and teddit lately. Those two work better than the sites they mirroring lol. Wonder if there's a Newgrounds mirror yet.

Oh yeah, and piped kavin rocks too. nitter uses that to link instead.

I don't know "piped kavin" other ones yes I know, don't fuss with them usually, got about half a dozen tumblr mirror sited I know of only ever use the one since the photo options are better for downloading.

Big fan of the collection of IG and TikTok mirrors I've run across, don't actually use either of the apps but the mirrors make getting the content off of them much easier which simplifies life on my other blog.

Can still do all the crediting but takes 80% of the work out of getting the content I want

Teddit: browse Reddit in a privacy preserving way

Reddit has become a central discussion hub in the past couple of years.  The site has received a number of financing rounds in the past decade, the last in February 2019 when it received $300 million based on a €3 billion valuation.

Reddit has intensified advertising and tracking in recent time; some options can be turned off in the Reddit settings, others are based on scripts running on the site. While it is possible to use content blockers to prevent many of these from being effective or loaded at all, some have started to use third-party Reddit clients instead that promise better privacy.

One of the latest ones is Teddit. Teddit is a web frontend, unlike many others that are available only on mobile devices. You can load the site using any web browser to access Reddit’s content.

The core difference between Teddit and Reddit is that the former does not track users and that it has no advertising. In fact, you can load Teddit with JavaScript disabled and it will work just as fine.

Teddit loads much faster; you download about 270 Kilobytes to your system to display the site’s homepage whereas you will often download more than 20 Megabytes to display Reddit’s homepage. The number of requests that Teddit makes to display the site is 30 while Reddit makes about 190 requests.

According to the developer, all requests go through the backend so that clients connected to Teddit never communicate with Reddit directly. Users interested in the code can check it out on Codeberg.

You may access text and media content on Teddit including user comments. A search is provided to find threads or subreddits of interest, and you can check out the posts of individual users.

All account related activity is not available on Teddit. You cannot sign-in to your account, and that means that you won’t get a feed of all subscribed subreddit groups or the ability to leave comments, reply to them, or start threads on the site.

Bookmarks are your friend if you need to access certain groups regularly on the site

Closing Words

Teddit is ideal for accessing information on Reddit. Since it is limited to read activity, it is great for accessing Reddit content without being tracked by the site.  You can easily replace the URL of any Reddit page by replacing the “r” in Reddit with the “t” in teddit, and the “com” with “net” to load the content on Teddit.

The Reddit URL https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/ becomes https://www.teddit.net/r/firefox on Teddit.

Teddit is not for you if you want to interact with other users on Reddit, but if you require only read access, it may be ideal.

Tip: the option to combine multiple subreddits in the URL to display these all at once is available on Teddit. Check out the guide for details.

There is the danger that the project will go away at one point. If it becomes too popular, it could be shut down because of increasing costs to run it.

For now, it offers an excellent option to access Reddit content in a privacy preserving way. It is also excellent for users who live in countries that have blocked Reddit.

I saw a teddit post stating that sakura is a chad and mikasa is a virgin (which is probably true). Say what ye want about Mikasa but I cant sit hear and listen to ppl say that sakura is better than mikasa.

Mikasa had a hard life and a sad backstory which caused her to cling to eren due to him saving her and inspiring her to fight. Erens family brought her in and gave her a roof on her head. They were like family. Which is why mikasa strived to protect him and was litteraly obsessed with him. He was litteraly all she had left and even her mother asked her to look after him. I can see how this could be seen as annoying but it’s understandable when you think of it. Btw mikasa isnt a basic anime girl that hits the male characters for shits and giggles.

Sakura on the other hand, has never lost anyone truly close to her, she had a mum and dad throughout the series (this isn’t a bad thing but personally I love characters with hardships in life and sad backstories make me sympathize with them). Sakura was a shy kid who got picked on but because of ino she became confident in herself, which is kinda relatable. However what really ruins her character is how stupid her obsession for sasuke is. Mikasa loved eren due to him being litteraly her family and she owes him a lot, sakura likes sasuke because hes handsome and talented, its incredibly shallow and ruins her character. She was about to leave her loving parents for him despite them having little interaction throughout the series. Sakura has friends and family so why does she go so far for 1 person who at the time didn’t speak to her that often. Sakura didn’t even know about sasuke sad past, which makes no sense since she loved him so much, even sone random kids in the academy class knew about the uchiha massacre. Sakura gets stronger in the timeskip, which is goo for her character but after the sasori fight she doesn’t get too many badass moments that aren’t being overshadowed by naruto and sasuke, while mikasa gets plenty bad ass moments in the series and there’s no debate that mikasa is one of the strongest. Ppl still debate if sakura can beat kakashi.

Anyways imo makasa is way better than sakura rn but ima finish the manga completely and see what happens in the end because I hear that the ending ruined her character so idk. Im on chapter 125 rn.

I doubt it would be that bad that it would make mikasa as bad as sakura

I'm fairly sure, don't quote me on this now, but I'm pretty sure that even on my fluffy fics it says 18+ only.

I'm kinda sensitive, depending on the circumstances, I don't like blocking people bc I feel bad but I REALLY don't like minors on my page.
