there had seemingly been a lot going on, he thinks. though, he guesses it makes sense, considering how big of an event seoul fashion week is. he's just inexperienced with seoul fashion week over all, he just wasn't entirely sure what it had fully entailed, in some instances, considering this was his very first time over his five-year-long career. however, he was there, considering he had performed during the opening ceremony and secret garden told him that it would be good to attend as much as he can whilst in the midst of album promotions for his newest album. so, duri, of course went - especially because he wanted to see a fashion week, and experience it; even if he felt out of place.
at each show, each event, he was sure to talk, to mingle; just in case there were more opportunities to put something in motion. he's heard it from his manager and secret garden themselves, so duri wanted to be sure that he did well - plus, he's a very friendly person nonetheless, so he was going to talk either way, anyways. though, he didn't mind at all if something didn't come of it, it would just be cool to maybe go out of his comfort zone, do something for a fashion brand. when the other notices him as well, his smile can't help but to grow a bit more.
he chuckles, head shaking. "i mean it!" he said, before his head is now firmly nodding, his smile big upon his lips once more. "i'm sure others liked it too! it was really a lot of fun!" he states. "i performed at the opening ceremony and it really felt like such a different experience, but it was a really cool experience!" he said, giggling softly once more. "my company said i should also attend more events and i really wanted to see what a fashion week was all about, especially because i've never actually been to a fashion week!"
seoul fashion week has been an eventful one, he has been to quite a few days because management said it was a good idea to go and mingle with people, maybe finally land a nice deal with a brand other than puma and mernel. he did really like puma, but he gets that maybe something more high end would be better for his brand or whatever. he trusted his staff to know the best and he knew his manager wouldn't shut up about it if he turned down anything fashion week related. so there he was, a little while after his performance during the ajo by ajo runway, still dressed from head to toe in their recent collection.
mingling was never an issue for jihoon, he quite liked it despite being an introvert. you learned to be outside of your comfort zone with this industry, so you just wing it, or at least that is how he saw it. so whenever a familiar face approached him, the way his eyes brightened up was genuine. that went for duri, definitely. "duri!" he call back, smile wide on his lips as he makes sure to shorten the distance between them quickly, before someone else grabbed a hold of either of them. you had to be quick in these settings.
"ahh, you are too nice to me!" jihoon replies, smile only growing wider as he bows politely at the compliment "it was such a different experience, you know? i hope other people liked it as well." he adds quickly, "what about you? what brings you to fashion week?"

his smile grows a bit more, feeling more at ease now. "thank you!" duri states. he sits down in the seat, being sure to settle himself in a bit more. he sits up straight, fixing the outfit that he was wearing, just to make sure it wasn't wrinkled or anything of that nature.
even though he felt like he was out of place, it was something that was still rather exciting. he was excited to see the show, to see how it works, the outfits that would be on the runway, and everything in between. plus, it did feel better that he has a familiar face next to him, one that was probably much more experienced.
"ah, that's really good to know! i was going to talk to the staff, but they seem really busy, and i didn't want to bother them," he says. "at the next one, i'll be sure to befriend them, just so they don't have to man the door anymore!" he says, his smile growing a bit more, a firm nod.
"i've been in the industry for five years now, almost six! but, i've never actually been to a fashion week or really a fashion show before, so it's all new to me," he says. "i'm more much used to award shows and brand events," he added on, a chuckle leaving his lips. "but, i really look forward to actually seeing a runway show... it feels like a whole new world!"
jean has spent years watching fashion week come and go in all its various themes, formats, and events, exhausting time over silks and champagne flutes. there's little that surprises her these days. that's not to say she dislikes the rhythm of it, though. or the prestige. sitting front row aside a crowd of celebrities has the same sparkle it did when she debuted.
this year, her stare has glazed over the entrance at each and every show, until everyone is sat and she can finally breathe out (there is an unfortunate amount of people she'd rather avoid these days).
so, as soon as duri enters, jean clocks his ticket fumbling and sheepish searching. it almost makes her smile. the reminder of how very unprepared for all of this she was some 6 years ago, even standing beisde her teammates. how daunting it must be for him to do it alone.
"of course!" her head bows softly out of habit, "it never gets easier to figure out, unfortunately." she fluffs the pillow beside her in a moment of unprecedented carefulness. with a shuffle, she moves to the side for the taller boy to sit. god, kids these days grow like beanpoles.
"the best way to avoid embarrassment is befriending the staff. they'll usually escort you to your seat just to avoid manning the doors."

perhaps these were just the things that happened during nightlife, which was why duri was just completely unused to it. or found it to be weird in some sense of it, since he's just not used to it at all. not to mention, it seems like whoever keeps flirting with him and trying to pass drinks upon him, didn't quite seem to hear him. that or they were just ignoring him, which definitely didn't feel great either.
his eyes looked around when sienna asks him the question, though he can't quite seem to find them. he chuckles, "ah, i think he's gone off to find the next person to flirt with!" he said. "maybe if i see him, i can point him out... but, there's no need to start a fight! no violence!" he said, a chuckle leaving his lips. though, he nods at the words.
"don't worry, there's no need to leave with me when the time comes! i don't want to ruin your night out!" he said, before giving another firm nod. "i'll only show my face for a little while longer, before finally sneaking out," he said, another soft chuckle leaving his lips. "thank you! i think i'm always really bad at shutting things down because what if they're just being nice, you know? i don't want to be that person!"
tonight, she didn’t mind letting a little loose. even if her version of loose was a little muted. she wasn’t wasted enough to start dancing in the middle of the floor. but there were enough drinks flowing through her that she didn’t mind dancing off a little to the side.
buzzed.
though, the shock of duri followed by his was words had almost been enough to sober her up. it took a second to process but when it did, her eyes narrowed a bit. “who was it?” buzzed enough to cause a fight? eh? maybe not. still, she made sure to link her arms with his. “maybe i don’t need to go hunting for a fight but stick close to me alright?” she’d do her best to make sure that duri was protected.
“i think we’ll need to only show our faces for a little longer....” she downed the rest of her drink. “we can sneak out in a bit if you want and i’m sorry that happened to you. i’ll shut anything down if anyone tries anything again.”

his smile grows, head shaking almost. "there's no need to thank me!" he says, a firm nod leaving his head. truth be told, duri did quite like going into stores and really just browsing. there was something about seeing what was new or what was around in a store, especially if the store really did seem interesting. though, he's not quite sure how often he had managed to wander into a department store, if he's being honest. though, he did always like looking at the home stuff - even if he did go and look at the luxury stuff each time too, always deciding that maybe it looks a bit weird on him. it seemed his thoughts really were, well, something else.
he nodded his head as he listened his smile growing a bit more. his eyes looked around for a moment, just to see if there were any air fryers close by to them, just to see what was there. "that would be great!" he says, as he looks back upon imogen. "i think i might have to do a little more research into the brand, just to see their reviews!" he said with a nod. "and maybe look into recipes or see what recipes i can turn into air fryer recipes!" he said, before chuckling softly. "i'm sure it'll probably be helpful on the days that i want something at home, but don't feel like fully cooking at the stove or something!"
❝ 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊𝐒, ❞ imogen grinned, ducking her head. the method had worked so far, but with idling days, it was easier and easier for her mind to drift back to the pixels on her phone. and so she'd taken to going outside, using her eyes on actual objects and people in front of her, to pull her attention from the device. which, in turn, led her to browsing the aisle at stores, where the deterrent was having to find her way home with her spoils. then, the rule became whatever she could fit in her pockets, she could take home. at the risk of looking like a very high-profile shoplifter, of course.
the mention of her favorite kitchen appliance brought a rumble to her stomach, making her put her hands on her belly as a flush swept over her cheeks. ❝ well, if that isn't evidence enough, i kind of love it. you can practically making anything in it. awful for my diet, but with all that good food, it's hard to care about anything. i'd be happy to recommend you a brand, if you wanted to pick one up for yourself, too ! ❞ but probably best not to encourage an impulse buy, lest she make herself out to be some sort of hypocrite. ❝ or, at least, if you'd like to do your own research instead. ❞

friendly and professional, that's the way duri had completely gone about the entire thing. but, he must admit, in some sense, he almost feels out of place. maybe because this was all more about fashion, rather than anything else. he was a little off his game in the sense, for whatever reason, duri almost felt like he didn't fit in when it came to anything fashion. sure, he dresses himself pretty well, but half the time, he felt he didn't know the first thing about fashion. yet, here he is, at the first of many seoul fashion week events that he'd be attending during that week - this was only his first step of being out of place... even though he wasn't, that was just the very odd, strange feeling that sits in the pit of his stomach.
he chuckled happily, his smile growing a bit more. maybe a bit of a relief that he didn't have to go searching for an empty table or sitting somewhere that wasn't actually a table because he wanted to avoid looking like the new kid - even if he was really just rather far from being so. nonetheless, duri sits down at the table in the seat, gently placing his things down in a neat-esque fashion. perhaps, maybe the coffee just a little closer, considering that's what he was looking the most forward to currently; even if he is a foodie, at the end of the day.
duri shakes his head at the question, "i'm just getting started!" he said, his smile growing a bit more. "i didn't really get the chance to sit down and have anything yet, you know lots of conversations going on!" he said, a soft giggle leaving his lips. "i'm quite looking forward to the break of so many business conversations," he states with a firm nod. "have you had your own fill yet? what's your favorite dish?" he asked, not helping but to be curious.
to his credit, doyeon usually thrives in social situations. in fact, he'd yet to meet a social endeavor that he couldn't conquer through sheer determination and a probably-genetic inability to keep his mouth shut, but even he, an acknowledged interpersonal wizard, needed a break. he blames it mostly on a lack of sleep, this time his own fault, and nerves lowering his usual threshold for manufacturing camaraderie in strangers. he feels the slightest bit off his game with the added pressure of wanting to seem more professional despite no real incentive to do so; he'd always had a tendency to add challenge to his life where it wasn't really necessary. a quirk, certainly.
nonetheless, he indulges in his brief breather with help of caffeine and a hodgepodged plate of things that don't really go together, but sound good, anyway. he considers, for a moment, texting his manager to see how much longer he has to stay, but feels bad enough for even considering it to go through with asking. grow up, he lectures internally.
doyeon looks up with his phone and feels disproportionately relieved to see duri and not another editor, a grin splitting his face with the assurance that he wouldn't have to be quite as 'on' in the company of who was, to this day, one of the kindest people he'd met. "hey!" he greets, "go for it, i sort-of dove in after a group of people got up, so it's not really mine to hold onto away, anyway." he pockets his device, scooting forward in his seat to rest his elbows on the table, face resting in his hands. "have you had your fill of the brunchening yet, or are you just getting started?" he himself had only just gotten the opportunity to indulge in any actual eating instead of simply grazing and conversing, but all the parts that hadn't felt entirely out of his depth had been fun.

he couldn't help the chuckle that left his lips at the question. though, duri's shaking his head towards the question. it was something that he's never actually thought about doing before, though he has very much consumed asmr content before - to see if it was something that would help him fall asleep more easily at night. he giggled softly, shaking his head once more, "no, it's okay! there's no need to apologize!" he said, his smile growing a bit more. "i've never thought about doing asmr before... maybe i should try it out?" he said, head tilted as he thought about it. "maybe i should try it out first on m2 that does the asmr videos with idols and artists? before i commit to an entire series of videos!" he says, a happy giggle leaving his voice afterward.
he nodded his head, "that sounds like a good idea! we should enjoy the ice cream in good weather and a nice view," he says, nodding happily. his eyes look over to the family of ducks, his smile a bit more as he looked upon them - eyes fixated for a few moments. though, he turns his head to look upon jiahn once more. "i think we probably would..." he said, shrugging his shoulders. "but, what if we fed them... secretly? and just told them to not bother anyone else for food, we're just doing it this one time!" he suggested, before a soft laugh would leave duri's lips afterward.
"come on!" he said, before he starts leading the way to where they could get ice cream, and maybe that small snack for the family of ducks that they shouldn't be feeding. he thinks upon what he was going to get, but he wasn't entirely sure just yet. he just knew that he wanted chocolate; but, that was never surprising, considering duri was always going to get chocolate ice cream, no matter what. unless he was feeling lemon ice cream, but it was always usually chocolate.
jiahn likes listening to the way duri talks. it’s a little different than other people he’s heard before, a little more like a storybook narrator in the way he uses pretty expressions, perhaps a more refined sense of grammar. it’s lovely, not to mention the timbre of the other man’s voice is fitting of the talented and accomplished vocalist he is. jiahn finds himself smiling just listening to the other man talk and laugh, a sort of soothing presence wrapping around him at the words. maybe that’s why he usually ends up calling duri whenever he needs a bit of support; the aura and voice of the other man just seems to put him at ease.
“have you ever thought about doing asmr?” jiahn blurts out the thought before he thinks to keep it to himself. no sooner does it escape his lips when he feels the flush break out across his face, embarrassed by his own lack of filter. “sorry, i was just thinking that you have a good voice for it. you could just talk into a microphone about your day and i think it’d put people right to sleep—in a good way, i mean! that’s the goal of asmr!” he’s just digging himself deeper, isn’t he? well, jiahn supposes that if he’s going to be a little weird, duri is a good person to be weird in front of.
he fixes his eyes on the sidewalk for a moment, taking a breath and reminding himself that there’s nothing to be embarrassed about here. hopefully he just makes duri laugh or something. he’s still getting them ice cream, so jiahn can’t just disappear into the earth like he sometimes wants to when he feels that he’s made a fool of himself. “we should get ice cream and come back here,” he agrees, “it’s too nice of a day to spend it indoors and... i think that family of ducks is cute.” he points out the group he was watching before, even though the young ones are still decidedly not all that cute anymore. “we’ll probably get in trouble if we feed them, right?”

of course, duri had to be sure to show his face, especially for a fashion event, with him moving somewhat into that. though, of course, his main event was always going to be singing and songwriting-producing, that's entirely what he's made for. but, of course, in this industry, you seemingly always had to do some more... just a little bit more.
nonetheless, he had moved along, talking to a lot of different people; representatives from different companies, and some that he was already friendly with. before he had really sat down to take a break, not let himself overwhelm too much, and just rest - especially because there was already so much for the rest of the week, and he had just comeback as well, there really was a lot.
"ah, hyung, you should be sure to eat!" duri says, his smile growing a bit more. "there's a lot of breakfast foods, a lot of western breakfast foods," he said, nodding his head. "though, i have to be honest... i picked a lot of the pastries," he says, before another giggle leaves his lips. "they really did look the best and they always go good with coffee, right?"
joohwan wasn't a social butterfly. he just liked to audition for his shows/movies and call it a day. but he had to show his face now and then for these kinds of events. he may not be in the modeling field, but getting to know people was important for their job. joohwan looked around trying to find someone, anyone that he knew.
but for the longest time, he just had small talk with people he had no clue who they were. soon he spotted duri out of the corner of his eye. relief! now if he could just escape the person he was speaking with and make his way to him. and as if duri had read his mind, he motioned for him to join him.
"sorry, but someone's trying to get my attention. speak later?" joohwan bowed politely to the gentleman and rushed/walked quickly over to duri. "hey!" he stated with a bright smile sitting down next to the other male. "i haven't really ate anything yet. what is there to eat?"

duri probably purchases a little too many house slippers, if he's being completely honest. but, he really likes having them, and making sure there's one that simply matches outfits. which meant he needed a lot of them... and some of them were simply just cute, another thing that duri needed when it comes to house slippers. he was also sure to get nothing but the most comfortable pairs of house slippers because he was big on cozy and comfort, after all. he just hoped that william likes the slippers too, especially because it matches his outfit too.
there's another blush that moves across his cheeks when he hears the other calling him cute, a small chuckle leaving his lips. "it's no problem, really! i was really excited when you let me cook for you because it's one of my favorite things to do," he said, nodding his head. "i think we're going to have a great night!" he said, his smile growing a bit more, something he couldn't help.
maybe it was a bit bold, grabbing william's hand and leading him more into his apartment. but, it was something that seemed only right, right? it made sense in his head. his smile grows a bit more as he hears the compliment about his apartment. "thank you! i like my living space to be representative of who i am... plus, i like this type of style!" he said, a small chuckle leaving his lips, before he moved to do everything that he needed to do with the items that william had given him.
he nods his head at the drink request. though, he shakes his head at the next question. "no! there's no need for you to do anything! you can just relax!" he said, his smile growing a bit more. he turns upon his feet, before he moves to make up glasses of lemon water for the both of them, one of which he brings right out to his guest. gently, he hands the other the glass of lemon water, the soft smile upon his face.
he giggles softly, "i thought that since you wanted it, i should do it! i think it's very important to get to make someone's comfort meal, you know? plus, it gave me something new to learn and it really wasn't all that bad to figure out!" he said, chuckling happily. "ah, you've wooed me with the flowers and fruit basket, what more can you do?" he asked, a soft chuckle leaving his lips again.
duri moves back to the kitchen afterwards, where he takes the peking duck out of the oven, as it has finished roasting. he moves it to the cutting board, where he covers it for now, simply so it can rest, and all the juices can move back in. while he's doing all this, he's softly sings to himself - much like snow white whistles while she works, duri softly sings. he makes sure to move to make the side dishes, which wouldn't be long, but he wanted them to be fresh.
as duri sets down the house-slippers he's meant to wear, william appreciates that they match his outfit. part of him was tempted to bring his own along for similar reasons, but he opted not to because he didn't want to be seen as rude somehow. while he's lived in seoul for many years now, he's still discovering new societal norms that he needs to respect, so in certain situations, it's better to be safe than sorry. bowing his head to duri, he steps into his new shoes and hums at their comfort; the plushness of them cradling his feet just right.
"you're cute," he responds simply, fawning at the compliment he was given. "thanks for already being such a fantastic host. i have a feeling we're going to have a great night, don't you?" his optimism is infectious, and all he can hope is that duri is feeling as good about everything as he is. though, based on how the other is acting, william is confident that he's excited about all the possibilities their night has in store.
then, suddenly, he feels his palm being clutched onto by duri's—the strength of his hand rousing a devilish grin from william. looks like physical contact won't be an issue going forward, which is definitely how he prefers things, and he keeps that in mind as they travel further into duri's apartment. "your place is sweet... it's very you."
with that, he watches as his date places the flowers he was gifted into a vase, and the care he puts into making sure they're displayed nicely appeals to william; makes him feel as though the gifts he brought are actually appreciated. they're tokens of his affection, after all. if they were disregarded, he wouldn't have been pleased. "a tall glass of lemon water sounds great, thank you. is there anything that i can help you with?" the offer to assist is one he mostly made to be polite, even if he only half-means it. he'd prefer just sitting back and watching as duri gets everything prepared for them; though, it's more like sitting back and admiring how stunning duri's statuesque figure looks in the clothes he's wearing.
"everything really does smell incredible, love. i wasn't expecting you to seriously put effort into making peking duck, but color me impressed. clearly, you're someone who likes to woo." he grins, looking over to duri. "i'll be sure to woo you, too, though. trust."

there's a small giggle that leaves duri's lips, his hand going over his mouth for a moment after. his eyes look upon the plate of food, simply curious of there was anything good amongst the food - considering he hadn't quite grabbed anything to eat yet. perhaps his stomach was just a bit weird with all the nerves of an event. "i definitely sounds a bit uncomfortable falling asleep standing up," he says, before he's giggling once more. nonetheless, duri seemingly grabs some coffee - something that he felt he needed to keep himself going, in some retrospect.
"ah, that's good to hear! i should probably settle down and actually have some food," he says, before giggling softly. he wasn't entirely sure why his stomach feels the way it currently does, considering the fact that duri is much more comfortable at brand events over all - maybe it was the fact that he's so unused to an event such as fashion week, something he didn't quite get the chance to do over his five-year career. "i'm performing at the opening ceremony tomorrow! i'm a little nervous to be performing at an event like seoul fashion week," he said, chuckling softly. "how about you?"
everlast had made it pretty clear that seoul fashion week would be an important event for yebin. considering that it happened so quickly after her comeback, they saw it was the perfect opportunity to promote her more heavily. that's why she was meant to attend any and every single event that either the company could get her into or she was invited to. she wasn't against the idea because catching the eyes of someone here wouldn't hurt her career. having a brand ambassador deal would actually be kind of sweet. however, she'd been so busy the past few weeks that she wasn't completely focused, especially since this was a brunch event, which meant she found it still too early for her to be in idol mode.
she's pretty much blanking out and staring into space when she's interrupted by a familiar voice. "oh, thank god you're here," she says before putting down the plate of food that she didn't even realize was in her hands. "i was literally standing here and sleeping with my eyes open," she confesses before lightly shaking her head. just enough to wake her up but not mess up her hair.
"uhm, i guess? i've just been lounging around. the food's good. i think." she can't recall the taste of the toast she had put into her mouth, but she assumes that they would've hired the best of the best when it came to catering. "how about you? are you doing anything special for fashion week or are you here to snag more brand deals?" it's said more teasingly as she knows he's already got enough in his career.

marie claire korea brunch, the four's northwest tower. with @baekjoohwan.
in some sense, it was kind of overwhelming now. there somehow seemed to be a lot of people that got invited to the marine claire korea brunch today and duri had gone through, talking to a lot of people. it was the way you had to be at these events, right? at least, that's what secret garden and his manager had always told them. plus, they knew duri was going to listen, and being a bit of a social butterfly, he was going to do it nonetheless. he's only just being friendly, something that he just always is, but apparently that's enough to get connections rolling in the industry. plus, with him having popularity of sorts, it only made sense they'd want him to do more ambassadorships.
but, as of now, he was a little drained, maybe a little overwhelmed by being in the midst of a bunch of people because he doesn't quite do well in the small spaces. but, he had decided to take a bit of a break, grab a few items, and sit at an empty table, away from a lot of people. it was much nicer being in the open air, a little quieter in some sense, and just enjoying his time now. plus, the food was rather good too, so he was really enjoying himself.
he had been a bit in his own little world for a little bit, before finally looking up from the table itself. a smile upon his lips when he sees a familiar face, a happy giggle leaving his lips before calling out, "joohwan-hyung!" he says. "come sit with me!" he says, before pulling out a chair, waving the other over. "are you enjoying the food?"

dazed korea x ul:kin x cahiers seoul fashion week afterparty. with @kangsxsienna
how he had ended up at the after-party is something that seems a bit beyond duri. he's not someone who parties, drinks (thanks to his alcohol allergy), or really even goes out at night - unless he's going out for a snack or something of that nature. nightlife is something that's completely beyond him, nor is it something that he really even has any idea about in the first place. but, he had managed to get convinced to come to the after party tonight, and he's easily convinced to do these things. even if he ends up on the walls, like a wallflower, rather than doing anything else. he was truly just very much an odd one out here. he wasn't entirely sure what to do.
what didn't seem to help was the fact that he had to keep turning down drinks, by people who kept seeming to show some kind of odd interest in him, in some sense. lots of flirting coming his way and him having to constantly explain that he couldn't drink what they were trying to hand him because they purchased him a drink. holding the coca-cola in his hands was something that didn't seem to be helping either, and he wasn't entirely sure how to get out of it in any sense of the way. plus, duri was always kind of bad at trying to leave something, anyways, because he didn't want to hurt any feelings.
but then, he manages to see sienna close by, and he knew that that was his way out. "noona!" duri calls out, over the loud music, his smile growing. he finally gets out of whatever was going on, going over to sienna. "i'm so glad you're here," he said, "i definitely don't belong here and people keep flirting with me, as well as trying to give me drinks," he states. "i definitely don't belong here!" he says, a firm nod leaving his head. "but, i'm glad i was able to move away from all of that, you're my savior!" he says, a giggle leaving his lips afterward.

adsb andersson bell exhibition, dongdaemun design plaza. with @ofsujis.
exhibitions were always something that duri enjoyed, truth be told. though, he has more experience in going to art exhibitions, over actual fashion exhibitions. but, he really wanted to go to more of them, if possible, since he was, in a way, entering the fashion industry, and hoping that maybe someone wants to give him an ambassadorship for a fashion brand. simply because duri thinks that's something that's really cool and he thinks he'd just get really better, overall in his confidence and fashion game, if he were to actually get one. not to mention, also attend more fashion exhibitions overall. an exhibition at seoul fashion week seemed like the best bet to get more experience in attending one.
luckily, this one was doing a more private time, having a special private event ticket - which seemingly meant duri would have more time to look at the items on display, study them, see what they were like. fashion is art, you treat it much like you do a painting, right? at least, in some kind of sense; especially when it has a major theme like this. dream and recycle - the two words put together for a theme was something that was really intriguing to duri, and he wondered how it was going to go into a fashion scape.
he's moving along, and that's when he manages to come across suji, a sunbae that duri really looks up to when it comes to fashion, and things of that nature. so, it was really cool that she was here to, at least to him, and that probably meant duri was going to do a lot of talking. "hello suji-sunbae!" duri greets, bowing towards the other. "this is really interesting, right?" he says. "i think it all really goes along with the theme, seeing them recycling materials into fashion and yet, everything feels so... dreamy in a sense too? i think they really hit the nail on the head," he said, a soft giggle leaves his lips as he looks around. "i think what they're really showing off is kind of... really cool fashion?"

he wasn't entirely sure how he had managed to be convinced to come to an afterparty. nightlife was something that was never really duri's thing or anything like that. he doesn't drink, due to his allergy to alcohol, and he's not much of a partier at all. but, somehow, due to some of his friends convincing him to go; he ended up coming, and not really having the best time. it was too crowded, it was loud, and it was simply something that duri wasn't having fun with; something that he really should have known, at least. but, he thought that he should just try, right? it seemed like the best course of action.
nonetheless, he stays to the wall, not doing much. he looks onwards, out into the crowd. though, arguably, that probably makes it a tad bit worse, a little more overwhelming. but, he wasn't at least around a lot of people. he thought about leaving and going home, but he almost felt it would be weird for him to leave already. but, he probably shouldn't be in a place where he doesn't belong, right? especially when he doesn't actually want to be there and he doesn't have to tell anyone - he can just say that he ended up getting sick if anyone asked where he ended up.
so, with that, duri decides to make his way to leave the event, to be able to simply go home; maybe stop by somewhere for a treat before fully heading home. though, it seems, something else was in mind when he'd accidentally run into someone. "oh! sorry!" he says. his eyes would look up, before seeing grey, whom he would bow to, a few times at least. "sorry, sunbae! i should have been watching where i was going!" he said. "are you having a good time?" he might as well do small talk, right? just so it didn't look like he was really trying to leave, or something.
#thefoursfw#ofgreyskies#threads with ashton kwon.#see... duri wasn't going 2 go to the afterparty but i thot it was tradition that in every iteration ash deals with very sober duri#at an after party event

marie claire korea brunch, the four's northwest tower. with @impkeen.
of course, duri had to be sure to attend the brunch event of the whole seoul fashion week. mainly because secret garden told him that it would be a really good opportunity, so duri had to be sure to listen to his company, after all. but, he kind of looked forward to brunch, regardless, simply because of the fact that it's a lot of talking, and well, the fact that there's brunch. he's a foodie after all, even though maybe breakfast foods weren't at the top of his list of favorites; he was sure it was still going to be good.
nonetheless, after all that talking, going around the brunch event, and making sure not to get stuck in the middle where there were too many people; duri had made his way over to grab something to eat. he puts numerous random things on the plate, mainly sweets, depending on what looks good to him. before he's sure to get coffee, something that duri can use rather often. he was all set on his brunch, which seemed a lot less like brunch, but there were some brunch foods on his plate - so, that does count, right?
now, it was all about finding somewhere to sit, and this had always been his least favorite part when at events like this - this always felt like his very first day in secret garden, during lunch time; and he had no idea where exactly to go. though, he comes across an empty seat, with a familiar face; which definitely feels a lot better among the chaos. "hi doyeon!" he greets, his usual smile placed upon his lips. "do you mind if i sit here?" he asked.

runway show, dongdaemun design plaza. with @mengyaowu.
the one thing that's not fun about being a soloist, was the fact that duri always went everywhere on his own - unless he's with his manager, of course. but, something like seoul fashion week shows, he had seemingly been on his own because he didn't fully need a team around him. so, in some cases, duri looks like a lost puppy, simply trying to find his way around a place that he isn't quite used to. he's never actually been to a fashion week before, besides attending certain brand events throughout the year. so, he really was just lost on the entire thing.
all he knew was that he has a front-row ticket to this show, which made him feel a little bit lost. he's sure there's a number upon the ticket, so he's sure to take it out to look. it was probably a bit embarrassing to see how lost duri happens to look in this atmosphere, and he's almost sure everyone can see him looking as such. though, somehow, duri isn't embarrassed about it, because after all, this was like his first rodeo, anyways. but, he kind of figures it out, he thinks.
he's moving along the front line, looking for an empty seat. when he finally finds the one, eyes looking around, before seeing a familiar face next to him. "oh, hello jeanie-sunbae!" duri says, bowing towards the other. "i think... this is my seat? i don't know, i'm not entirely sure how this works," he states, before a giggle leaves his lips afterwards. "do you mind if i sit here?" he asked, after all, duri always likes to be sure he's not taking a show.

following the ajobyajo show, dongdaemun design plaza. with @its-jace.
he seemed to be quite enjoying seoul fashion week, in some sense. it felt really cool, getting the ability to actually sit front row, and really see the entirety of everything going on. perhaps he looked on in awe, in some sense, at the fashion walking down the runaway. it wasn't something that he had experienced before, considering this was kind of his first chance to really get to go to a fashion week. sure, he's been to other luxury events, considering his own connections. but, he's never managed to actually make it to seoul fashion week.
plus, it was really cool because there were performances during the shows. this one in particular, having jace, whose music duri has always really enjoyed, truth be told. so, in a sense, the fashion show was even more fun that it already was. clearly, duri was really in awe and enjoying himself, sparkles in his eyes and all. time had seemingly moved a bit quickly, feeling like the shows weren't lasting as long. but, they always say, time files when you're having fun, right? at least, duri always thought so.
nonetheless, the show had ended, and duri was standing somewhere outside of the show. he had done the pre-show and after-show conversations with many different people that were around; especially because he was approached, after all. he wasn't entirely sure what to do next, looking over the show list, as well as keeping his schedules in mind. until he saw a familiar face, making his own light up a bit. "jace-hyung!" he greets, a happy chuckle leaving his lips. "ah, your performance during the show was really good!"

marie claire korea brunch, the four's northwest tower. with @yebinisms.
the marie clarie korea brunch was one of the events that duri was sure to attend. it seemed like it was important since it was the kickoff, and secret garden was sure to move around some of duri's schedules just so he would be able to attend the brunch that afternoon. sometimes, though, he almost felt like he didn't actually belong there or stuck out in some way. even though, at the end of the day, duri too is a model of sorts with rather successful brand ambassadorships underneath his belt. it was just one of those random thoughts that he would have whenever it was rather overwhelming.
he had moved around the brunch, being sure to talk to many different individuals that were in attendance. secret garden was sure to advise duri that that's something that he should do - though, he was going to ultimately end up doing so anyways. considering the fact that duri does like talking to people, and he's a bit of a social butterfly. but, of course, duri was always genuine, even though this was mainly about making connections in the industry; especially the fashion industry, where he was trying to enter a little bit more. in a sense, it was numerous conversations, of the same things, the same topics. though, he was excited when he got to talk to others about his new album; an album that means a lot to him.
after a while, he seemingly breaks off from the conversations he finds himself in. he moves around the brunch itself, deciding that he could very much go for a cup of coffee now. he makes his way over, saying hello to those that he's passing by with a bow. until, he manages to get to a familiar face, and his smile lights up more. "yebin! hi!" he says. it had seemingly been a while since he's seen the friend he was on idol diction contest. "are you enjoying the brunch?" he asked, the smile still present upon his face.
