little drabble that whenever Techno can't sleep—whether it's after long day of hard work, he wanders in the hallways for a little until he stops. sighs to himself before entering your room.

he finds you asleep, in peace. unbothered, without a care in the world. and for a moment, he wishes to not bother you, but acts on the fact that he's wanted some peace for the day too.

so without a second thought, he sits on the bed and scoots right in. as if that small gap was just perfectly waiting to be filled. the warmth that came from you and the room itself... makes him smile. just one last moment before whispering good night to you.

even though you can't hear, he willingly adds a small 'love you' in affection before drifting off to bed.

so we can all agree that the newest 2WEI song (take the crown) is the trailer song for an Antarctic Empires Emerald Duo pg14 movie where Techno is a gladiator who earned his freedom and has vowed to destroy the government that enslaved him and Philza is an old demigod banished to a solitary plane of existence for five decades after attempting to run a coup against the ruling class.

They meet on a battlefield, Techno having joined up as brute muscle and Phil having used some minor illusions to pass as a quirky avian and join the bombardment team. Combining some similar plot beats as Oceans 11 and Atlantis: The Lost Empire, they gather a specialized team of insurrectionists, anarchists, battle mages, and warriors to take down the imperium from the inside, eventually planning on restoring the nation to the democracy it was in Phil’s earliest memories. But will they manage it, or will their bloody pasts and violent present seat Technoblade on the throne as the Antarctic Emperor, with Philza as his right hand, the Angel of Death? (Spoiler, the second option. It’s the most controversial film finale decision of the decade.)

The movie is filmed in a style somewhere between Dune 1, the Prince of Egypt, and Topgun. (denis villeneuve is too busy and too expensive, but it’s clear they’re taking inspiration. Bold colors and lighting and a lot of shots of the sky, wildlife, architecture, or of characters’ hands.) It’s scored by an up and coming indie musician, working under the consultation of Ludwig Gorannson in his spare time as a pet project, though his association with the film doesn’t really come out until it Smashes the expected theatre income in the first two days of release and critics start Raving about it. Techno’s actor is nominated for an Oscar for one of the most compelling intricate portrayals of ptsd and platonic devotion in modern cinema, but doesn’t actually get the Oscar.

Tumblr is flooded with gif sets of Techno in the Obligatory No Armor After Gladiator Fight Scene and the Late Night Vibing With Phil In A Loose Poet Shirt scene (firelit, lots of closeups of his eyes, the film is obviously attempting to express his complex emotional state and his deep relationship with Phil, and is failing miserably at doing Anything but making him hot. The internet is ✨gay✨ about it, because when is the internet not?) Also most of the simps are calling Phil a dilf.

Fit MC is the fan-favorite side character, his four scenes and nine lines of dialogue are clipped and edited and giffed and memed into the dirt. (His armor and prosthetic, the makeup and costuming department say, were the hardest thing to do in the entire film, which is why he isn’t in too many shots.) Though, a close second is Niki, who is played by a woman built like a brick house who doesn’t wear sleeves, so…. Yeah. We all know what the response is there. The effects, including Phil’s wings, are almost entirely practical and the only real places it gets iffy is Steve, the giant war polar bear that’s pretty clearly clipping through a few snowbanks here and there. Nobody can agree on which characters are morally reprehensible.

Within a few years, very few people outside a dedicated fan base have seen it and a few assume it’s made up like Goncharov. It’s also, for some ungodly reason, been labeled a Christmas film. (most of the plot happens in the ice and snow, hence ‘Antarctic Empire.’) I guess nothing says ‘Christmas spirit’ quite like ‘unmitigated violence, platonic yearning, and overthrowing oppressors.’

I know I’m late to this.

But here’s what I have to say.

2020.

COVID hit. I was a young girl, who was recently going through realizations of sexuality, friends etc. my friends introduced me to the dream SMP. I thought it was a little silly, then simping over these people playing Minecraft. But then I got into it. Like, super into it. Realizing there was more than just funny clips, there was actual LORE. I was so invested. I would sculpt clay of them, loving making little references of things that I like.

Going back into school post covid, I was so cringe. I thought my style was cool, and y’know, I did kind of eat. But I was happy. So happy. The friends that introduced me to it no longer liked it. They were too cool for it and kind of ditched me.

I had this community, that took a video game and made it into this super awesome story while still maintaining humor.

And they were real. It wasn’t like getting into a show, I think that’s part of the reason that I liked it so much. These creators were real, they have feelings, and lives.

They inspired me. Inspired me to keep drawing, even though the only thing I could draw was them. I loved it. Art block was no more lol

This is going to sound silly, but the dream SMP definitely helped me figure out my sexuality. Seeing other people so freely open about it made me think.

I didnt like when all of the trolls came and I was bullied relentlessly because I liked watching some people play Minecraft.

They helped me inspire my passion for steaming. Where I couldn’t imagine myself doing anything else but that. It seems so fun, to have a community that likes watching you.

Yea, all of my friends thought I was weird crying when Technoblade killed Tubbo with a firework, but I LOVED the plot. The lore. I didn’t even know what lore meant, or plot armor, or canon. Haha, I would give anything to have them back.

Technoblade especially. I didn’t know much about him before the SMP. But he is a super big part of my life and my joy. His ability to make humor, but maintain a serious atmosphere. His jokes, his PVP, he seemed like such a cool dude. Me cheering when he said that his cancer had been 99.99% percent removed.

2022.

I was going to one of the most exciting things I have ever done. A new experience, I was gonna meet new people. I was obsessed with drawing, the SMP, and HB. I was excited to meet people like me. I knew that I was trans, I wasn’t necessarily out tho.

I woke up one morning to a text from my friend. She used to like the SMP, but not really anymore. We were still friends.

She asked if I heard the news. Technoblade died.

I thought that she was joking.

Until I got another text from my friend. She’s one of my closest friends who was never really into the SMP but she knew that I liked it so she asked me about it.

I opened YouTube. Watched the video, sobbing. There was no way. You watch these people online, never having met them, only seeing what they want you to see on screen. You never know what you have until it’s gone.

My mum watched it.

She said that it was nice to see behind the scenes, seeing his dad, knowing that he’s a person. Writing RIP Technoblade we love you Alex as I went to my new experience the next day. A part of me seemed to just be broken.

Haha I’m sure this seems cringe. But like, everybody has there passions. These people inspired me. They made me who I am today, I wouldn’t be writing this if it wasn’t for them. Cancer has affected so many people in my life. It’s hard, it is. Knowing I will never get to meet Alex sucks. I mean, haha I probably wouldn’t have anyway. But him really being gone.. I don’t know. I know, people say, “he’s not really gone,” but it’s still different. He put on this attitude of wanting to power through it, making jokes. God, I miss him. I never met him, he doesn’t know me. But still, he made an impact on so many people. I know, this story has probably happened to so many people. But it feels good to tell it.

I know I’m not a super popular content creator. I May never be. But it’s nice to do this. It’s what I love to do, maybe I’ll have an impact some day.

Technoblade and Darth Vader have a lot in common.

They both hate orphans

They both kill children (the younglings totally count as orphans)

In the original script for DSMP, Phil was going to betray Techno. A father figure betraying their adoptive son/brother? (cough, Obi-Wan, cough)

Their nemesis is a small blond child.

They have done hella warcrimes

The voices are kinda like bloodthirst from the darkside

They both end up killing a wrinkley old man politician. Vader kills Palpatine, Techno kills Jschlatt.

They canonically fight god. Vader the Father, Techno Dream.

Both are famous warriors.

And also Pilots.

All we need to do is have Vader name his lightsaber, "Child cleaver" or something and they become the same character (except Techno isn't a simp(Imagine simping so hard for a woman, you overthrow a government(Techno does it for the principle of the thing))).

Back when I was watching the IRL KarlNap streams live, I watched the one where they're going over the cards and assessing them, and I was like 'hmm... Karl's hoodie is pretty cool" but I didn't think much of it at the time. Now I've just realised it's the fricking MISS YOU CORPSE hoodie!! That hoodie is more iconic than pretty much any merch I'm aware of, and I absolutely adore it.

It's amazing how things come full circle when you follow a trail of fandoms.

Watching some older Technoblade lore VODs and Quackity starts spouting -sh** about Technoblade having to pay for his "war crimes" and go on trial and etc. and I'm just watching as my blood boils, thinking about the trash moves Quackity has made in the past and how he's super guilty but he's talking like Techno is the bad guy. I hate Quackity pretty much. (Don't get me wrong, I hate him like any character who's actions I deplore and who is a filthy villain in my sight in any story. Don't hear me saying I hate the CC. That's another story lol.) Anyways, Technoblade was like, "sounds like BeEs" and so now I'm even more convinced I should be a Technoblade fan lol. I live for two days on the dream smp. The day that Dream gets his happy ending, and the day that Quackity gets the negative retribution he deserves.

What do you do when you want to write fanfiction, but the people or characters you want to write are people you don't think you can write accurately because you're not them?

“Uh–Phil, you might want to see this.” Phil raised his head from the stew he was making on the stove for him and Technoblade to have, Kristin had given him a recipe she saw on pinterest and he thought that he’d make it a few times to get it right before offering it to her on a date, either way, they eat tonight. “What’s up mate?” Phil asked, wiping his hands on his jeans and stepping into the living room where his lifelong companion sat. Technoblade and Phil had been friends since middle school, sharing a bond that was as unshakeable as it was peculiar. Technoblade had moved to Phil’s school in the fifth grade, and Phil was immediately curious about who this person was. Techno had pink hair in braids and a little red sweater with a pig sewed onto the front and blue jeans. He was a whirlwind of energy and quirks, and Phil had been drawn to him like a moth to a flame.

Technoblade had his laptop open, scrolling through articles with a furrowed brow. “I think we might have a problem.”

Phil leaned over, peering at the screen. It was a news article titled “Emerald Duo strikes again! Murder of Vice President Jschlatt and his secretary: Quackity.’ Phil just blinks because - uh, no, what the fuck? Neither of them have done that, what?? They haven’t gone out to work in a few weeks (thanks to Phil being a fucking simp, in Technoblades’ words not Phil’s) but who was pretending to be them, did they have a copy cat or something? 

“Huh.” Phil said, unable to think of anything else in the situation to say.

"It's gotta be a mistake," Phil murmured, his voice laced with doubt. "We've been here the whole time."

Technoblade shot him a look that spoke volumes. "Look at the video." He pointed at the article's embedded media player, where a grainy surveillance footage played. One figure moved swiftly through a hallway. The timestamp at the bottom of the screen read 'Today, 12:30 PM.’ “Okay, well this just proves it's not us, we never slip up like that, it's amateur!” Phli said, pointing at the screen with one hand while Techno hummed in agreement. The figure in the video was lanky, far taller than Technoblade and Phil combined, while Phil wasn’t the tallest of men standing at a solid 5 '12 while Techno was a good 6' 3 this person seemed a lot taller than him. Technoblade could see that the person's hair was curly under their beanie through the graining security footage. 

Phil took a step back, crossing his arms. "We need to figure out who's doing this. It's messing with our reputation, not to mention the cops are gonna be all over us again."

Technoblade nodded, his gaze still glued to the screen. "Agreed. And we can't have some wannabes stealing our thunder."

The two of them sat down at the kitchen table, their brains buzzing with theories and possible suspects. They were meticulous in their work, known for leaving no trace behind, so the idea that someone was mimicking their style was both flattering and infuriating. They had built a reputation for being untouchable, and now some amateurs were threatening to tarnish it.

okay so the basis of this one is Emduo are well known serial killers and crimeboys are also serial killers but they are much much less well known and they get in a one sided rivalry with Emduo because emduo gets credit for one of their kills since crimeboys are less known than emduo, so crimeboys start trying to outdo/outmurder them.

i think emduo would realize they were being blamed for murders they didn’t do, and which weren’t their style at all, so they’re confused and very intrigued by who is actually doing the murders. they start investigating and do a way better job than the police, who are used to blaming all murders on emduo. they find out about crimeboys, catch them in the midst of a murder, and end up kinda taking them in and teaching them how to hide their tracks better.

as for dynamics, this would definitely be counted as found family and SBI, but its more of Phil & Techno are about the same age and have been lifelong friends, whereas Wilbur & Tommy are literally brothers, and Wilbur is taking care of Tommy.

I feel like this would be written as, like, a very funny fic, with silly antics and stuff and everyone is really desensitized to the things they are doing, but everything has a really dark undertone that is just never addressed yet it’s all, of course, pretty off-putting and creepy/unhinged. like, found family and shit, but they’re literally all killing people. Techno has a very sweet teaching moment with Tommy, except he’s teaching the kid the best tendons to cut on a person’s legs so they can’t run away. Phil and Wilbur have a meaningful conversation, while both being covered in blood and having people screaming in the background. that kind of vibe.

That seems half creepy half funny to imagine but since it's quackity it's mostly funny cus he alway finds an excuse to stare at wilbur (wrote this specifically based off the time when trench coat trio want star gazing and quackity just stared at wilbur and tommy turned to him and said simp)

Sorry for the late response!

So there is actually YWNMTBAH lore with this statement! Technically it was a "deleted scene" in the sense of how Wilbur and Quackity's first dance was a deleted scene. It canonically happened and is referenced, but it didn't make it into the final story.

What happened is that some dumbass villain though it would be a smart idea to break into a tower full of heroes while Phil was out. Tommy, being trained to essentially become an assassin similar to Techno's training, got his training mixed up with the protective instincts that come when an intruder is in their nest area. So he killed the fucker only coming to his senses after the deed was done. The commotion woke up Techno and Wilbur. The twins automatically fell into their individual training with Wilbur taking care of the body and Techno doing what he could to help Tommy.

They all agreed to never speak of this again and to definitely not tell Phil.
