SAG-AFTRA is going on strike again. This time, the union is calling a work stoppage against the major video game companies after nearly two years of trying to renegotiate its Interactive Media Agreement. The decision to hit the picket lines comes 10 months after the union’s initial strike authorization vote. The strike goes into effect July 26 at 12:01 a.m. The 10 companies facing the strike are Activision Productions Inc., Blindlight LLC, Disney Character Voices Inc., Electronic Arts Productions Inc., Epic Games, Inc., Formosa Interactive LLC, Insomniac Games Inc., Take 2 Productions Inc., VoiceWorks Productions Inc., and WB Games Inc. “We’re not going to consent to a contract that allows companies to abuse A.I. to the detriment of our members. Enough is enough. When these companies get serious about offering an agreement our members can live — and work — with, we will be here, ready to negotiate,” SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher said in a statement.

From Casual Moments To Tech And Travel Euphoria : Ordinary Videos Into Extraordinary Adventures

In This Episode of In The Spotlight, I'm truly delighted to have the honor of having my favorite Tech and Travel Content Creator,  @AriffSuffian , that I watch a lot especially during the pandemic lockdown. Our First Impressions of each other are Truly Majestic!

He's one of those Content Creators that started with random things like Vlogs, simple travel videos, food videos, even volleyball videos, and then experimented with Tech, and SLAYed! During the lockdown, I was always surprised by the quality of his work despite him having not that many subscribers back then. They were Majestic!

October 2, 2024 - Over 1,000 Samsung workers in Chennai, India, have been on strike for four weeks, making it India’s biggest strike in recent years. The protests have disrupted production at the factory, which employs 1800 people and contributed a fifth of Samsung’s $12 billion revenue in India last year.

The striking workers are demanding recognition of their union, CITU, and a wage increase. The average salary for the Samsung workers is currently about $300 a month. [video]
