Conversations between best friends has often led to some reckless/stupid/not thought out at all decisions. Like one conversation the amity park trio had where Danny said that he couldn't see Tucker as a doctor (the medical kind) to which Tucker responded with "Alright, bet." and enrolled in medical school. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Bruce Wayne and Tucker Foley somehow by coincidence *cough* clockwork* became friends. And stayed friends even after Bruce dropped out and Tucker went on to finish med school. It was a strange friendship that was mainly just Bruce calling Tucker from the weirdest locations and asking things "Out of curiosity, if an immortal nutjob wanted you to marry his daughter and become his heir what would you do? uh-huh, uh-huh, really? ok, thanks." and meeting up for coffee every now and then. It was during one of these coffee meet-ups that Bruce confessed that he wanted to adopt a recently orphaned child by the name of Richard. There was currently push back from people who didn't think 'Brucie Wayne' would be a good parent and from others who didn't want a random kid having a chance to inherit the Wayne fortune, the media was also having a field day. Everyone kept asking him to "reconsider" and doing everything they can to stall/stop the adoption process. Tucker, being the good friend he was, said "Don't worry, I got this" Stood up from the cafe table, walked to the nearest library and politely asked to use one of their computers, spent a good ten minutes on it, printed something out on the library's printer, walked back to the cafe where he left Bruce waiting. And finally, he handed over the paper with the words "Take this." and continued drinking his now cold coffee. Bruce was, understandably, confused. "What is-" "Trust me, it'll work." Tucker assured him. That is how Bruce Wayne adopted one Richard 'Dick' Grayson.

And after that, Bruce went to Tucker whenever he came across a kid that he wanted to adopt, which was often. It's one reason why Tucker will do everything in his power to make sure Danny and Bruce never meet for fear that the Gothamite might try to add the Halfa to the growing army of children. Aka

He had once entertained the idea that he wasn't really a Drake, a very long time ago when he overheard his mom and dad arguing and some words were said in the heat of the moment, but to be honest Tim always thought the obvious culprit of anyone being his dad would most likely be Bruce (Bruce even admitted he had a small fling with his mother but that was two years before her marriage)

But before little Tim's curiosity could really take hold on the idea, he had saw on the news Robin performing a Grayson flip and the hint of Tim not being a Drake left his mind. Robin was Dick Grayson! And if he was Robin that had to mean Bruce Wayne was Batman!

Then well... his stalking of the Bats started and the rest became history.

But now, as Tim was staring at his own DNA test, something he never bothered to do until that damned Demon brat wanted to make sure he was ONLY blood son of Bruce (and doing a DNA test something even Bruce never thought of doing due to well… how he was towards Tim during his first months as Robin)

He well…

He kinda needs to find out who this Daniel Jackson Fenton is.

(Tim finds out he isn’t a Drake, but also not a Wayne (because Damian wanted to make sure he was only blood son) but is instead a Fenton)

Solenoids go clicky-clacky 🔩🔊🤖

We're testing out an I2C-to-solenoid driver today. It uses an MCP23017 expander. We like this particular chip for this usage because it has push-pull outputs, making it ideal for driving our N-channel FETs and flyback diodes. The A port connects to the 8 drivers, while the B port remains available for other GPIO purposes. For this demo, whenever we 'touch' a pin on port B to ground, the corresponding solenoid triggers provide an easy way to check speed and power usage.

Seriously, when you scroll through Ward, almost any time she is handling Kenzie or Dragon tech, she’s like, “Will this explode if I drop it? If I hold it too tightly, will it explode? It’s out of power right now, can someone make it into a bomb so it can explode?”

Tinker Tech, 3rd year hero in training - shifts arm into various tools

Eternal Guardian, top pro hero - heteromorph with the powers and effects of the Totem of Undying

Angel Rider, top pro hero - he has functional wings, has the meta ability to bring good vibes to everyone around, and can focus good luck on someone with the exchange of someone else (of his choice) getting bad luck

Mister Mirror, villain - heteromorph with four arms and can mimic any move or motion he sees someone do

something that's been bothering me that I haven't seen mentioned yet really is that they removed the whole ''elves have an easier time in the crossroads'' thing and how they even see it differently/it appears differently to them compared to the other races.

we first experience this in Masked Empire:

She looked back and saw Celene and Michel far in the distance behind them, struggling with each step and squinting against what was, for them, the harsh light of the path. Briala didn't feel winded, even after the strenuous work of the last few days She and Felassan had been walking normally, their pace relaxed. She would have sworn it. ''The path favours us more than it does them.''

it's honestly even more severe than I remembered. Celene and Michel are affected as soon as they step through the eluvian into the crossroads; they stumble, hold their heads, etc. Michel says ''It feels wrong'' and that there's a constant noise at the edge of his hearing. He and Celene both end up with awful headaches.

and I'll never forget seeing the side-by-side comparison of The Crossroads in DAI: Trespasser. The beautiful, colourful areas I had experienced while playing as an elf were grey and dull for the other races. Lavellan comments on how colourful it is, and Varric (and a few other companions) reply that it is 'dull, grey and lifeless' to them.

I get that it would have been annoying to make The Crossroads and The Lighthouse physically painful and draining to non-elf Inquisitors (during Trespasser), non-elf companions and non-elf Rooks, but they could have at least kept their own continuity of the appearance being different for elves vs. non-elves...

it's a small thing but it bugs me :/
