Happy Sunday dear pen and inky scribblers, today showing off my new pen and ink combo... I've been wanting to get this white ink for some while now, well I've finally done it, and of course to go with the ink I just had to have a new pen. To me black and white is a classic combination wouldn't you say, and this white ink looks striking on the black paper. On Friday morning I had a knock on my door it was my postman holding out a parcel from @cultpens it was my new @conklinpens_official Fountain Pen The Sonora pacifically made for them, this is the first numbered pen I've ever had, it's also got the first broad nib I've ever used and like all Conklin and @yafabrands_official fountain pens they are a joy to use. A couple of weeks ago someone noted that I like both Conklin and Monteverde fountain pens and I clearly remember saying to them that I am a big fan of @yafabrands_official in general as they not only sell their pens at an affordable prices, but they never let me down, right out of the box it felt very comfortable, no matter what nib I've chosen they ALL write beautifully and again it doesn't seem to matter about what sort of paper I'm using. This time I teamed it with @privatereserveink.official Shoreline Gold and again a perfect match in my books... It's a bit of history/personal it's Plato theory 'ᴠɪʀᴛᴜᴇ ɪs ᴋɴᴏᴡʟᴇᴅɢᴇ' and how Socrates tackles this idea with his associates. But with this in mind, it's something that can be used with todays lifestyle, so with Virtue is knowledge we are able to teach ourselves to see the bad things before we act on it. Virtue is indeed all about grasping clearly what is good and why it is is good. Whereas brown bears range from a light blond to dark brown. The brown bears are usually stronger, bigger, and more aggressive than black bears. The brown bear has a high level of intelligence and awareness, able to cover their tracks, has an adapt to learning tricks, and also has a great memory, whereas the black bear Smart, adaptive animals that are communicative and curious.... Hello there pen and inky scribblers, it's finally here the 1st day of 2023, do you feel any different, have you started the year off with your resolutions or if you're like me written down your plans for January. I also managed to cook a beautiful roast dinner (beef joint in red wine) everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked until the meat just melted in your mouth... This evening I sat down and wrote myself a quote to start my year off - Remember you are doing something... Apart from my BA History which I'll be continuing after having a year off, I'll also be adding Egyptian Mythology with Hieroglyphs, and Archaeology (luckily it's a 5 year course in total), I've also got 2 @domestika courses - Expressive Architectural Sketching and The Golden Secrets of Lettering - maybe I've given myself too much but at least I'm doing something which is what my quote/verse is all about....
