Here's a sketch I did yesterday during our Sunday Scribbles Monthly Zoom Meet up. It's supposed to be a Water Rabbit as it signifies this year's Chinese New Year (which starts on 22nd January, btw). And yes ladies, I have given him a name he is called 'Gulf-ie'. I think you can guess it's a play with words as the 'Gulf's' around the world are usually coastal areas... I also wanted to use this gorgeous new fountain pen from @cultpens. Thank you for your amazing customer service and quick delivery. I greatly appreciate it.... I teamed it with @privatereserveink.official Shoreline Gold personally. I think it's a perfect match, what do you think...? Since I was 12 I have been keeping a journal. I have at least 30 full ones. I am always on the lookout for a new journal; one that gets me thinking and writing and getting to know myself on a different level than until now. Through writing I release my pent up feelings. I get to my heart. I calm. I relax. I dream. I cry. I search deep within and go away from the page happier. I often meet my Maker in prayer this way. And of course lots of margins and pages get my newest sketches and painting ideas. When I saw this Latvian made journal in English (my native language) I had to have it. I am enjoying the writing assignments. Enjoying getting to know myself better. Writing inspires my art as well, thus another reason I love painting book scarves with favorite quotes from fantastic books my customers love. Taking time to stop,and write helps me grow as a person.
