Hi there beautiful people, how's your Saturday going, today has given me the chance to actually do some personal Journalling rather than #challenge related... It's a bit of history/personal it's Plato theory 'ᴠɪʀᴛᴜᴇ ɪs ᴋɴᴏᴡʟᴇᴅɢᴇ' and how Socrates tackles this idea with his associates. But with this in mind, it's something that can be used with todays lifestyle, so with Virtue is knowledge we are able to teach ourselves to see the bad things before we act on it. Virtue is indeed all about grasping clearly what is good and why it is is good. Happy Sunday dear pen and inky scribblers, today showing off my new pen and ink combo... I've been wanting to get this white ink for some while now, well I've finally done it, and of course to go with the ink I just had to have a new pen. To me black and white is a classic combination wouldn't you say, and this white ink looks striking on the black paper. Hello there my inky scribblers, it's quite gloomy here in the UK but it allowed me to complete this spread I've been working on. On Sunday we were given a quote written by Charles Kettering, so that we could add it to our journals if we want to... '𝑀𝑦 𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑠 𝑖𝑠 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑓𝑢𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒, 𝑏𝑒𝑐𝑎𝑢𝑠𝑒 𝐼 𝑎𝑚 𝑔𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑜 𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑛𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑚𝑦 𝐿𝑖𝑓𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒' Life changes and grows as we change, the future we set for ourselves is ours to mould in any direction we want it to. But we mustn't be arrogant, as we are still inflammable and can make mistakes. Non of us are perfect, even if some think we are, making mistakes can teach us valuable lessons in life and our futures even if the future is tomorrow, next week, or next year. Here's a sketch I did yesterday during our Sunday Scribbles Monthly Zoom Meet up. It's supposed to be a Water Rabbit as it signifies this year's Chinese New Year (which starts on 22nd January, btw). And yes ladies, I have given him a name he is called 'Gulf-ie'. I think you can guess it's a play with words as the 'Gulf's' around the world are usually coastal areas... Hiya my lovelies how are you all doing today, here in the South (UK) the weather is horrid again we've had lots of rain, and winds of up to 40mph, but the temperature is very mild only 12°C for this time of year... Well as I can't really go anywhere, I decided to use one of my other sketchbooks from @therangeuk just to do some simple drawings and the odd original quotes... Just before Christmas Tersh (@skybambi) gave us (Sunday Scribbles group) a puzzle where if you find 4 words then that will be your Mantra for 2023. Well here's mine.... ᴄʀᴇᴀᴛɪᴏɴ ᴘᴜʀᴘᴏsᴇ ᴄʜᴀɴɢᴇ ᴄᴏɴɴᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ So I decided to come up with a couple of original quotes... 1) CREATION is life's fundamental PURPOSE for CHANGE that will give me a CONNECTION for my future. 2) Make new CONNECTIONS when you can, to CHANGE your PURPOSE for the future, in order to CREATE a life you will love. What do you think, would say they are positive strong messages for the future, I'd love to know... Also I honestly can't stop using this pen by @scriveiner it's really comfortable and so easy to always use, there is no doubt about it, I'm definitely getting the other colours, seriously loving it.... Hello beautiful people, how have you all been today. I've been so busy this week helping my good friend/neighbour and it was only yesterday evening that I was able to finally do some personal Journalling and use my new @visconti_italy Van Gogh fountain pen purchased from my very good friend Laura of @writing.poetry. Hi there beautiful people how are you all doing. After helping my friend everyday from Wednesday I've actually managed to get some precious time to myself. This should if been posted on Thursday, I wanted to do something a bit different, in my black dotted journal from STM, I've had this notebook for a few years now but didn't really know what I wanted to do with, until this week. I was given this idea after watching a reel of birds on a black background.... What do you think...??? As Thursday was National Bird Day (in the US) I thought I'd draw the humble Humming Bird (we call Trinidad the land of the humming bird) as they have 18 different humming birds native to them, plus at the right time of the year you'll find at least another 10-15 more species that migrate there... Hello there pen and inky scribblers, it's finally here the 1st day of 2023, do you feel any different, have you started the year off with your resolutions or if you're like me written down your plans for January. I also managed to cook a beautiful roast dinner (beef joint in red wine) everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked until the meat just melted in your mouth... This evening I sat down and wrote myself a quote to start my year off - Remember you are doing something... Apart from my BA History which I'll be continuing after having a year off, I'll also be adding Egyptian Mythology with Hieroglyphs, and Archaeology (luckily it's a 5 year course in total), I've also got 2 @domestika courses - Expressive Architectural Sketching and The Golden Secrets of Lettering - maybe I've given myself too much but at least I'm doing something which is what my quote/verse is all about.... Hello pen and ink scribblers, introducing @crosspens Bailey in White 🤍🤍. I've been after a white pen for ages now, so I decided to get this one from @cultpens it's not expensive which suited me. Surprisingly it writes very well and comfortable in the hand, weight and size...
