Imagine you got turned into a mech and teleported to the middle of the Quintesson attack on Cybertron. But the catch is - all the characters whose Transformers toys/figures you own are in your squad and they are on your side.
If you have two Megatrons or like three Ratchets you can have all of them. Can't wait to see if someone's squad is just them and their 200 Bumblebees
#maccadam#transformers#I have tfp Soundwave on my side I'm basically a god#Also two Drifts Jazz and Prowl#Blurr#Between Sounders with his crazy competence in communication#and Jazz with his crazy competence in battle#and Prowl's strategy brain?#I'd say Quintessons are fucked~#Blurr would just be out team mascot or something ahahah I'm not letting him to die horribly no no thank you

Wade's undiagnosed adhd (switching between dual wielding swords, guns, and daggers) is only ever matched by Logan's undiagnosed autism (noticing weak spots in his opponents and going 100% momentum + force on his attacks)

The Pit Wall as The Wheel of Fortune:
Greater forces that are outside of human control are at work here. The same forces that govern the changing of the seasons, or the rising and setting of the sun is also the master of luck and the fate of individuals. Where it lands is as random as chance - you may find yourself at either the top or bottom, but remember that no matter what the outcome it may not last for very long, for the wheel always turns.
Remember: what goes up, must also come back down.

Raph Is A Great Strategist
Numerous times in the show Raph has shown to have a preference for straightforwardly punching his problems away rather than think up a more complex solution. Like how his immediate fix to getting Mayhem out of the mirror in Mystic Library was to punch everything in the bathroom but the mirror. However, when Raph understands the situation requires more in depth strategy, he’s shown to be an incredibly capable tactician.
(long post ahead!)
In nearly all the plot heavy episodes like Shadow of Evil, Many Unhappy Returns, and the season finales, Raph gets moments where he’s highlighted for his strategic thinking. In Insane in the Mama Train, he’s the one who figures out which eyeball-button goes to the front car with the dark armor, because “‘it was the only button [the Foot Clan] didn’t want me to press!’” [21:05]. He’s also the one who came up with the scheme to defeat all the (known) combatants in the train, with Leo specifically attributing Raph as the deviser during their mind meld [19:46]. In Many Unhappy Returns, after spending a single night waylaying the Shredder, Raph formulated a plan using all the tricks the team learned, seamlessly transitioning the mystic collar Leo acquired into it [19:53], to defeating the Shredder. Additionally, he’s repeatedly called for a retreat during fights, like in Shadow of Evil, Shreddy or Not (Finale pt 2), and the movie, when he can tactically recognize that a battle couldn’t be won. Each time, the show/movie implied that that was the right call, for the family to lose the fight but win the war.
And it’s not just that Raph is good at strategy when he’s pushed to be more serious; the show characterizes him as passionate about creating plans, he enjoys doing it. Literally in the first episode, Mystic Mayhem, after the turtles’ initial plan failed of getting Splinter out of the living room to touch his Do-Not-Touch Cabinet, Raph immediately started devising a new plan that involved “ten chickens [and] a gallon of rubber cement” [9:35]. It was convoluted, sure, and they didn’t end up using it, but it was inventive and the opposite of reluctant. This is also shown in Bug Busters, where Raph planned out dousing Mikey in honey to attract the oozequitoes [2:52]; Snow Day, with the idea to freeze Ghost Bear like in Jupiter Jim Pluto Vacation 4; and Raph’s Ride-Along (and also Bad Hair Day), where Mind Raph created multiple schemes to get the criminals arrested. The show wouldn’t have made Raph be so creative with his plans if they were trying to characterize him as someone who didn’t like strategizing.
So does why Raph do stupid shit sometimes where he doesn’t think things through at all? Well, even though Raph is good at strategy and enjoys doing it, it’s clear his immediate impulse is still “punch the problem in the face”. In fact, all the turtle boys contain the fascinating dichotomy of being incredibly smart in some areas, and the dumbest teenagers alive in others. Just look at Donnie. It’s also how Raph is a loving protective older brother, and the guy who shoved Leo into a wall so hard he disappeared in one frame for shits and giggles (The Mutant Menace x). None of this means that Raph is bad at strategy though.
tldr: Yeah, Raph has a lot of dumb and, frankly, insane moments in the show, but he’s still an incredible tactician who’s plans consistently saved his family and sometimes the world. He's a great strategist.
#I will die on Strategist Raph hill#i'd even go so far to say that Raph is the tactician of the team instead of Leo#because compared to how many times Raph /actually/ plans his actions to how many times Leo does it#Raph would win by a long shot#Leo to me is honestly more an improviser#he's also repeatedly looked to Raph for the plans when they're in trouble than come up with strategies himself#Mikey and donnie do this too. they look up to him as their big brother leader and IDEAS GUY#I always read that as the show saying Raph is the team's planner#AND HE'S GREAT AT IT#I'm fine with strategist!Leo#I can see how it happened#BUT RAPH BEING BAD AT STRATEGIES? RAPH?#WHAT#rottmnt#rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles#analysis#raphael hamato#rise raph#rise of the tmnt#HE'S AMAZING I LOVE HIM#rottmnt movie

this season is doing wacky things to everyone.
skizz has decided he can't be a nice guy anymore (despite his history and nature to be charitable and give back to the server and be the super heroes of the server so to speak)
impulse has gone absolutely nuts and has been accusing everyone of stealing cows right off the bat and seems to have a hunger for victory
and bdubs etho and tango have formed the "tuff guys" cause "nice guys finish last"
so.... people who ahve all historically been part of skizz's superhero gangs are going bad
meanwhile gem and joel who are historically known to kill and steal and antagonize and live on their own etc are making friends with alliums and treating their friends as family
oh how the turn tables
#everyone seems to be hungrier for victory this season#theyre all thinking about their nature and wondering if that's why they've failed in past seasons#straight up skizz says like “no more Mr nice guy” because he's too nice and it gets him killed#and its literally in the tuff guy slogan “nice guys finish last”#and gem and joel both in episode 1 said “I've made a lot of enemies” and (either) “i want to make amends” or “i want to change my strategy”#because the enemy making wasnt helping to win#interesting things#skizzleman#impulsesv#team best#team ties#bdoubleo100#ethoslab#tangotek#tuff guys#geminitay#smallishbeans#wild life smp#wild life spoilers#life series spoilers#life series#pixls things

"Yesterday I said podium would be a miracle and we still did the podium so I'm very happy. I'm not happy often with a P3 or a P2. Normally, it's only P1 that satisfies me fully, but then, on a weekend as difficult as this one, huge lack of performance until the race today, it's really nice and a pleasant surprise for the whole team. Carlos was very fast too, so P3 and P5 for the team. It's a good result for this weekend."
Was the undercut a team call, your call ?
"I had a feeling about this. We talked about it a little before. We had a code to make understand when I was ready to do this, and the team agreed with me, so we pitted, then I pushed on the outlap. Oscar - I knew we were gonna do an undercut quite easily because there was a big delta of new tyres here, and George - I knew I had to push to the limit and we did it, at the end we successfully undercut them both so it was well played."
After I was a bit scared because the 2nd stint was very long, but we managed tyres well and perfect management. Honestly, today, there's not a lot of things we could've done better."
Charles post-race media pen | Dutch GP | 25 August 2024

I know we joke Lawrence Stroll is basically a bond villain, but my god, I have to take off my hat to him. Man joined this sport purely to support his son's career and dreams, and has seemingly just managed (not officially confirmed as yet) to nab the key to achieving those dreams in certified freaking car genius Adrian Newey, the man behind car designs that won 6 constructors' championships, 7 drivers championships, and earned 120 podiums to date for red bull alone. He's won 12 constructors' championships in total with 3 different Formula One teams (red bull, williams & mclaren). And now, he's apparently chasing Max too. I have to admire this man's sheer commitment, I now need him to win (sign newey & Max when the time comes) so badly now to see him rub the entire paddocks nose in it lmao.
#f1#formula 1#formula one#max verstappen#lawrence stroll#lance stroll#aston martin#adrian newey#if Adrian's at am I'm happy to go there with max lmao#provided we have good strategy too#hannah schmitz is right there#and kindly please bring gp too#him and max are a joint set not sold separately#but also... is aston martin going to be the first team with three drivers on the grid?#because like good luck babe if you think you're going to kick Fernando out after teasing him possible wins with Newey's designs lmao#Lawrence stroll going from bond villain to antihero in my eyes wasn't what i expected ngl especially not so quick#but i am an adrian newey stan so c'est la vie#lawrence stroll bond villain (affectionate)#toto wolff bond villain (derogatory)#<- I'm sorry lmao that's just my pov#honestly though nothing would be funnier than toto failing to sign max again oh I would die laughing

Seriously, Joltik looks cute with a mini Stellar crown!

the reason why red team wins isn’t because they submit tasks last minute. that isn’t even the biggest part of their strategy, so let me tell you what red is doing to win:
delegating tasks: each member has spent most of their time collecting whatever resource the team needs. they work together to come up with specific goals (eg. enchantment table, mining iron, getting string) and then send specific people out to do that task, usually whoever’s free at the moment
helping each other: they would all drop everything at a moment’s notice to help a teammate in trouble
sharing resources: red team shares literally everything they own. most notably, bings and personal quest items
personal tasks: they all help each other out to finish these, and they make sure everyone active gets them done. i think a good chunk of their points come from this category actually, since the other teams don’t seem to prioritize it as much
not seeking fights: ok sure, they’ve gotten in a decent amount of fights, but usually the fight comes to them. they aren’t spending their time searching for people to kill, rather most of their kills have been from running into others in the wild or at spawn (foolish did spend time looking for tina today, but that was mostly looking for blue base as a strategic point)
using time wisely: to kind of add onto the point above, they aren’t spending all their time walking thousands of blocks to others’ bases. they also are very communicative about how much time they have left and what to use it for. they’ll ask how they can help the team with their last ten minutes, for instance
communicating: red team spends almost their entire time on the server in a vc together. I know this isn’t exactly every creator’s thing, but they could still type in chat if they didn’t want to talk. red team have even been leaving discord messages to their teammates to tell them info when they’re not online!
varying their points: i think this is the most important thing tbh. instead of only focusing on tasks or kills, etc. they do a little bit of every. they make sure to do well in every possible point category
being silly: it’s the best part!! the silliness boosts team morale
seriously though, the red team doesn’t just sweep the win at the last minute. if that was true then they wouldn’t log in until the last ten minutes. all the active members spend their 5 hours (or however long they’re playing that day) working on gathering materials and being useful for the team. the only advantage they have from being online later is they know how many points they need to get to catch up. so they can sort of measure how many kills or resources they’d need, etc. but knowing what they need doesn’t guarantee they’ll get it. the red team puts a lot of hard work into their wins it’s not just a cheap sweep. they are clever, resourceful, and strategic
#this is strategy analysis not discourse#i’m analyzing this like it’s a betting sport#it’s FUN#really if the other teams want to win they just need to communicate better that’s the whole point of the event!!#and before anyone comes at me i have been watching all 3 teams#and me saying red team does this doesn’t mean i’m saying the other teams aren’t doing it#i’m just saying this is what red is doing that’s making them WIN#qsmp

This guy said it better than me
Carlos Sainz has conviction. He believes in his own judgment and is willing to act out and speak out on it, often contrary to what the Ferrari pit wall offers. At the same time, he isn't cocky and will respect Ferrari's team orders should the need ultimately arise. It's been twice in [the 2022] season that Carlos' blatant ignoring/disobeying of Ferrari's calls rewarded him and the team handsomely, while in contrast Leclerc, whose unwavering reliance on the team's judgment often earns him the short end of the stick. Listening to Carlos' radio, you will constantly hear him asking questions and challenging decisions. It's a hallmark of all great drivers - especially (since radio communication has been made more accessible to the audience) Lewis Hamilton, who has, on many occasions, disobeyed his team's orders to pit, ran long in the race with great pace, then put on a monster stint at the end to win. Of course his own strategy decisions backfired on him a few times (recently and notably Turkey 2021), but most of the time, between Lewis and the team, they make the right strategical decisions. Lewis acted like another voice that contributes to the strategy team, and for a group whose sole goal is to make the best strategical decision, more viewpoints is always better as it creates a clearer picture for all involved. Ferrari's strategy and race engineering teams seem to break down with every single event that necessitates some sort of quick ruthless reaction. It seems like a lost department that has zero confidence in its own decision-making skills, predictions, and data. The lack of confidence from the pit wall, though, allows Carlos to make his own decisions without strong pushback, and it has rewarded him on at least two occasions this year [2022] already. Listening to Carlos schooling his engineer with words like "Trust me", "Don't do that" etc., it seems that he has that extra dimension as a racing driver, one who can deliberate strategy and tactics while driving fast, much like Sebastian Vettel in his Ferrari days. Carlos has an inbuilt bullshit-o-meter that firmly overrides some shitty decisions Ferrari torture themselves with.
#carlos sainz jr#ex bulls who moved on to horses and had to school the horse strategy team#interesting lewis comparison. we'll have to see how lewis' year in ferrari goes#but also this proves that Ferrari can’t handle people who don’t feed their self-aggrandisation and self-delusion#pragmatism and having standards is taken as disrespect or rebelliousness#they love Charles because he’s been perfectly preconditioned and brainwashed#but actually they need an auditor and Carlos is that. he complements them and fills in their weaknesses#this redditor really called them out#scuderia ferrari#f1
