I love your headcanons so much! What careers do you think Team Natsu would pursue if they lived in our world?

I feel like obviously Lucy would still want to do writing. Maybe a bit of journalism (especially in regard to standing up for groups of people) on the side while also doing some modeling or influencing since we've seen her do it in the show and manga.

Gray I picture doing something artsy especially when you look at how artistic his magic can be. Maybe something like Sculptor. Just imagining him being in his art student years being an absolute heartthrob while he is being emo and artsy. I would imagine some fashion as well because he always has the best fits of fairy tail (when he hasn't stripped it off lol).

I'm not sure about Erza and Natsu yet.

Lucy is a fashion influencer as well as a booktoker. This popularity really helped her when she got her first novel published since she already had a huge fanbase

Now Lucy does both. Her passion being writing but her main source of income is influencing

Natsu is a firefighter. It's mostly volunteer work tho

He makes his money being a jackass level daredevil on the internet. Natsu does wild stunts and goes on all types of crazy adventures (sponsored by redbull of course)

Gray def has an artsy job. He doesn't have one set job and instead does a bunch of odd jobs here and there

He's a graffiti artist, ice sculptor, muralist, ceramist, and many other things

He also does nude modeling for art schools and helps Lucy with her fashion influencing. He's very popular on her page but is too busy to make his own account (Tho he does get requested to walk on runways)

Erza works in security. She's done pretty much every security type of work but prefers body guard work for celebrities. But that's mostly because she likes going to all the fancy parties and such

Her dream is to open a bakery one day, but she isn't sure how to go about it so she just does it on the side for her friends

Wendy is already taking classes to help her get into medical school. That girl will be a doctor and she will save many lives

Natsu fucks heavily with Knuckles. Really he vibes with most of the strength based characters but Knuckles is a fave for sure (he's red and throws hands). He also likes Sonic's laidback and chill attitude so he's right behind Knuckles in terms of fave. Blaze is technically on the list of faves bcus fire powers but he also thinks she needs to be a bit more laidback. (Special shout outs to Big bcus fishing and Chip bcus Natsu likes lil guys)

Gray is also a Sonic enjoyer for the same reasons as Natsu (which he hates to admit) but he also likes Espio a lot for the same calm attitude. He also thinks Silver is pretty neat.

Erza loves Blaze, Tikal and Knuckles, but for their senses of duty and responsibility moreso than their abilities. Also of we includin comic characters she fucks with Antoine too because she finds his courage to stand on the battle field despite being so terrified honourable.

Lucy's a Amy and Tails truther. The underdogs, the underestimated duo. The hidden powerhouses. She is also a Vector truther because she understands him on a spiritual level (Always needing rent money)

team natsu headcanons

Natsu still travels, and one of his many goals while traveling is finding the spiciest food there is. He sometimes choses his destination because he saw an ad for some spice-eating contest. He wins, of course, and always asks for extra to bring home to the team.

Whenever he comes home from his adventures, there’s an obligatory team dinner at Lucy’s (her apartment is still the most comfortable, still home to Natsu). He likes to come early, not just because he misses her and just wants to make up for lost time, but because he likes to tamper and add stupidly spicy peppers to Gray’s food. (Lucy always has iced drinks; ready to help.)

Despite his more, boorish, way of living, Natsu is actually quite into skincare and taking care of his body. As useful Dragon Force is, the aftermath leaves his skin dry and rough. The first time it happens with the team, he wakes up to oiled feet and palms. It’s a weird sensation, and when Lucy tells him it’s courtesy of Gray, he wants to immediately wipe it off. His feet and hands are frozen immediately after, and he’s too weak to fight it, so he’s forced to sit through a half-hour lecture on keeping his skin hydrated. When Lucy leaves them alone, Gray talks about his time with Ur, and Natsu begrudgingly accepts the moisturizer Gray shoves into his lap.

Gray helped Erza adjust to life again, and he often took her shopping, just so she could have things that were hers. He finds out that she really likes clothes, but they can get expensive. On some missions, he lets her borrow his clothes (it isn’t like he needs them anyway). When they’re older, and they both have stable income, they still make time to go shopping.

Heart Kreuz is a brand Erza discovered on a job, and she was thrilled when it branched out to Fiore. It’s a bit pricey, and there aren’t any stores near Magnolia, so she always makes a point to buy a lot whenever she can. She buys a lot for herself, and some for Gray (she knows he rarely uses them, but she likes to know that he has some quality clothes to wear if he ever needs them).

Erza had freckles as a child, but they’ve faded with time. (Her freckles are actually the remaining dragon skin Irene passed down during her long, long, long pregnancy. Freckles aren’t the only physical characteristics that she inherited.) She used to be insecure about them (she used to be insecure about a lot of things—her time in the R-System had her leaving with half of herself), but when she meets loud, bold, unapologetic Natsu, with freckles and scars and sharp teeth, she can’t help but not feel as alone anymore.

Lucy learns early on that Erza has an acquired taste for lewd books. When Erza stumbles upon one of Lucy’s story drafts of a particularly steamy scene, she goes to tell Lucy about her preferences and how she could incorporate them into her story. Lucy, still reeling and flustered, can only ask for clarification. Erza stops by the next day with a stack of R-rated novels. The day ends after they both spend it reading, and Lucy understands. She still tries to occasionally recommend literary classics to Erza.

Lucy has a section in her apartment dedicated to the team. Her place is everyone’s home, and she’s long since accepted that as fact. It used to annoy her, back in the early days, but now, seeing a few of Erza’s racy books on her desk, feeling a pair of Gray’s socks kicked below her couch, or even discovering Natsu’s favorite snacks in her cupboard, makes a warmth settle on her back, and her smile cannot be described as anything but fond.

the b team from the gmg hang out regularly and are all very good friends. mirajane, cana, and juvia have special "making fun of laxus" privileges that not even bickslow has.

laxus is genuinely embarrassed about how he used to talk about erza and she uses it against him very often. "oh, yes, because how can i - a mere woman - possibly accomplish this task myself?" "fine! i'll open the pickle jar!"

cain instinct is strong in the fairy tail guild. everyone is resisting the urge to smack each other, and most of them aren't very good at it. even laxus can be a target, especially after he chilled out. the most surprising display was when levy smacked him square in the head with one of her books, and he just yelled at her, or when cana stared at erza for a few seconds before smacking her across the face.

sex education was, probably, the worst thing to happen to those who grew up in the guild hall. either makarov didn't give enough details or he gave way too many.

lucy and gray are the biggest gossipers in the guild. they know everyone's secrets and while they don't blackmail people, they never hide something from the other. if they're staring at you and whispering, they are talking mad shit or they found out something about you.

juvia and natsu get along alarmingly well. they're not even sure how it works, just that they're so different that it kind of makes them perfect for each other (as friends).

natsu is sting's celebrity crush and he thinks he's doing a great job at hiding it. he's not. everyone knows. rogue knows, lector knows, all of sabertooth knows, all of fairy tail knows, sorcerer weekly knows, natsu knows. no one has the heart to tell him.

juvia doesn't have romantic feelings for lyon but she wants them to be friends so badly. not to get closer to gray, just because she thinks he's really cool and easy to talk to. lyon is so smug about it and gray wants to throttle him for it.

erza and mira's rivalry is alive in the tiniest of ways. they're always having small contests like "i bet i can wash this cup faster than you," or "i bet lucy says hi to me first." there's no hard feelings involved, they just can't help but be a little competitive with each other.

erza was illiterate for a really long time, way longer than she should have been, and makarov felt awful for not realizing it sooner. she was just looking at the reward numbers and going with the flow. on top of that, she has really bad dyslexia, something that somehow went under the radar.

related to the previous headcanon, lucy eventually realizes that the reason natsu has such bad grammar and reading comprehension is because he was tutored by erza, and erza's so bad at writing and understanding big words because she has undiagnosed dyslexia. so takes the time to slowly teach them how to read more complicated things, showing erza ways to read with her dyslexia, and giving them handwriting lessons. the first time erza writes a comprehendible letter is to jellal, and she's absolutely ecstatic about it. natsu is thrilled that he can finally read lucy's book without feeling stupid.

gray teaches wendy a lot about social cues and how to survive in a city as big as magnolia. she grew up very sheltered in a tiny village, so it makes sense that she struggles with "big city living." she's very appreciative and gray is just happy he can be of use.

gray stopped smoking because he heard lucy say she finds smokers unattractive. (gray, in the manga, smoked for a bit, and it's explicitly stated that, at least for the first handful of arcs, he was interested in lucy).

natsu started having romantic feelings for lucy during their fight against kain, but he didn't realize he was in love with her until he watched future lucy die. lucy didn't realize she had feelings for natsu until she realized she was in love with him, which was after the events with the eclipse gate. (the specific moments i'm talking about: kain | future lucy | post-eclipse gate)

between her and gajeel, juvia is the older one. she doesn't give it much thought but gajeel sees her in a big sister role, and has found himself accidentally referring to her as his older sister. which he would rather die than let her find out about.

when asked who she would go after if gray wasn't in the picture, most people expect juvia to say she could never picture a world without gray, but she will look you dead in the eye and, without any hesitation, say, "erza."

gray and loke had something very gay going on before loke went back to the celestial spirit world. the sexual tension between the two of them in this scene is too strong, they've fucked, kissed at least.

when gray realized he liked juvia back, he had a full mental breakdown for several reasons. a fear of intimacy, a fear of losing her like he has every single woman he's ever cared about, and because he just couldn't believe her very weird and very aggressive flirting tactics worked.

in the same vein, evergreen was inconsolable for days when she realized she was in love with elfman. laxus, freed, and bickslow have never been more worried about her mental well-being.

all of crime sorciere have a betting pool on when jellal and erza will get their heads out of their asses. they've had to place new bets several times because they're still dancing around each other. at this point, the betting pool is getting tense, and someone is going to lose so much money.

cobra and jellal kissed once because they were both extremely drunk and extremely sad about their respective crushes. neither of them remember it but the rest of crime sorciere can never forget watching cobra shove his tongue down jellal's throat.

makarov has said "you're like the son i never had" way too many times for it to be an accident.

elfman wants to be a girl dad so bad. he absolutely loves having sisters and he's obsessed with the idea of having a daughter to spoil and dote on.

gray and juvia have a kid before getting married...whoops.

going against the grain and literally what mashima has said, and saying that natsu and lucy have a son before having a daughter. he's a lot like lucy while their daughter is almost exactly like natsu.

yukino is a raging lesbian and is endlessly distressed by how many people think she's in love with sting. her month was ruined when minerva congratulated them on their relationship. completely ignoring the fact that sting is a gay man and is openly down bad for rogue.

rufus and orga have been dating for almost three years and literally no one knows.

lucy cried for three hours when she found out about anna and ichiya.

laxus and freed are in a queer-platonic relationship. laxus is aroace and has no interest in being romantically involved with someone, but he likes the dynamics of dating someone, and freed just likes having someone to spoil (back massages, compliments, all the things freed does in canon).

natsu has ended up in so many situations where he's put in feminine clothing, that he's actually started to kind of like it. he really doesn't mind the idea of wearing a skirt or letting lucy do his makeup. lucy is obsessed with it, and they sometimes do each other's makeup.

romeo is a trans boy and canon is my enemy. macao is extremely supportive and is always introducing romeo as enthusiastically as he can. "this is my son, romeo. isn't he so handsome? just the most handsome boy out there. i'm so proud of my son. he's the best." it's as embarrassing as it is endearing.

gray gets really bad joint pain after using his demon slayer magic, because the demon ice is so cold that it hurts him. thankfully, juvia is always happy to give him massages and crack his back.

natsu had the fattest crush on laxus from the age of thirteen to the very end of the battle of fairy tail arc. everyone just thought he had too much faith in his guild mates, but it was actually because he was so horrendously down bad for laxus that he couldn't accept that he was kind of a psycho.

gray tries so hard to seem cool and nonchalant that he accidentally flirts with basically everyone he interacts with. he thinks he's being cool and mysterious, instead he's making people fall in love with him.

loke tells lucy she's beautiful all the way into her sixties, and he means it every single time.

jude, technically, didn't take layla's maiden name, they just had the most unbelievable coincidence in the world where layla's last name was "heartfilia," while jude's was "heartphilia," so neither of them really saw a point in changing their last names.

juvia and gajeel were not only introduced to the wonders of genuine friendship and family after joining fairy tail, but also the amazing world of weed by cana and bickslow. laxus will never forget walking into his apartment with the thunder legion for the first time in years, and being met with juvia, gajeel, and cana on the couch, passing a blunt, while bickslow was raiding the kitchen.

gajeel and levy elope, only bringing lily and juvia with them as their witnesses. lucy was a little (a lot) insulted by it, but she eventually understood why levy did what she did when her and natsu decided to do the exact same thing, and only bring along their team. basically, elfman and evergreen, and gray and juvia are like the only couples to have a ceremony.

fairy tail has a lot of lawsuits and property damage bills, and freed, levy, and lucy almost had collective aneurysms trying to get through and organize them all. the guild has never spent more money on coffee.

lucy eventually takes advantage of the fact she has a very powerful kick and gets a black belt in taekwondo, a type of martial art that focuses mostly on kicking. her raw leg power combined with knowing what she's doing AND her heels? deadly.

sabertooth members calling minerva "m'lady" started as a serious thing to show respect, but now it's a running joke where everyone is trying to be as obnoxious as possible with it.

it's kind of implied that rogue is (at least) sexually attracted to minerva, and the fact larcade's "find out who's a virgin" spell hits him right after seeing minerva being affected by it, makes me think he lost his virginity to her. it was awkward and objectively bad but he's still glad it happened. sting drank an entire bottle of tequila when he found out about it.

getting 1 v. 2-d by natsu was the biggest ego crash sting and rogue have ever, and will ever experience. they will never be able to live it down. it will follow them to their graves. please never talk about how egotistical they used to be, they will cry from embarrassment.

juvia is the best gift giver you will ever meet. she just has a way of always knowing what's perfect for someone, and it's a mutual agreement to always make her go last for gift giving so everyone else feels better about their gift for at least a few minutes.

natsu is the kind of guy to remember something someone said to him once in passing and randomly bring it up weeks or months later. his brain is a library of miniscule information about the people around him.

gajeel talks trash about levy's romance novels but will also be sneaking peeks over her shoulder and trying not to react to various moments. he is deeply invested in the plot twists and the main characters' romance.

while he's traveling, gildarts will buy cana a gift from every town his visits, which results in him having about a pound of knickknacks, clothes, and alcohol for her when he comes back. she pretends to be embarrassed about it but she secretly loves being spoiled by him.

gildarts and cana go on daddy-daughter dates and she'd rather drink bleach than let other people find out about it. gildarts is just happy to be there.

natsu and cana have had this conversation: "so, are we, like, siblings now?" "excuse me?" "because, like, gildarts is basically my dad, and he's your dad. so..." "we are not siblings, natsu." "okay, didn't know you liked being an only child so much." "go fuck yourself."

gildarts knows lucy is going to be his daughter in law. he doesn't know if it's going to be from her marrying natsu or from her marrying cana.

My Headcanons with 100yq

Let me start by saying I love fairy tail. It was my first shounen anime that I sought out on my own. (One piece, Naruto, and Bleach just came on when I was little and watching toonami). It is, to this day, one of my favorite shows of all time with Lucy Heartfilia being one of my favorite characters of all time.

So, on to the headcanons.

Lucy and Natsu have an undefined relationship. They call each other their partner and let people take it how they will because they don't even know. Their relationship is so much more than being in love or working together. They would die for the other and pull the other back from the brink of insanity. How can you label that? They have a blind trust in the other and that's all that matters.

Wendy has received some lasting effects from being trapped for 7 years and that's why it appears she hasn't grown much despite being the age for multiple growth spurts to have hit. Her body being in hibernation for so long has left her stunted almost. She's the only one who is was a young child when it happened and is the only one who looks relatively the same after all that time.

It also doesn't help now that she has the power of Irene in her body now as well. That much power isn't helping her at all either. Most of her energy goes to keeping her power in check, not allowing her to grow much.

Erza has almost somewhat dedicated Lucy to be her "right-hand man" while she leads the group. Yeah, it's technically Team Natsu, but Erza and Lucy are the ones who do a majority of the work that isn't fighting. Erza is in charge of the group as a whole, ensuring that everyone is safe, healthy, and on track. Lucy is in charge of the map, finances, and helping with other information.

Natsu and Gray are the weather regulators. If they go somewhere that's too hot, Gray takes over. If they go somewhere too cold, Natsu takes over. That's their main job aside from getting food when they aren't nearby any towns.

I personally believe that they all have some sort of chronic pain or lingering injuries from their fights in the past.

Erza tends to hurt just about all over, but mainly gets head aches due to her eye strain and all the concussions she's sustained.

Natsu doesn't usually hurt too badly, but his scars always bother him whether they're itchy, throbbing, or something. His problem usually lies with his heart. Having died multiple times tends to fuck it up.

Gray has a similar issue with his scar. He also tends to feel very tight in his muscles due to how cold his natural body temp is after learning devil slayer magic so it takes him awhile to get out of bed in the morning. (He loved when the town was underwater because he could easily climb out of bed with no problem)

Wendy usually deals with sore muscles and an odd tingling in her hands and feet. They concluded that it's nerve damage from the Face she and Carla took care of.

Lucy gets random hot flashes from rewriting the book. She also still has scars from it, but they're super faint. You really only see them when she's standing in the sunlight. She also just has really bad knees and ankles but absolutely refuses to wear any shoe without a heel.

Gray and Natsu get under stimulated a lot when they're just travelling, so they make it a point to spar whenever they have a moment. It usually ends with them both getting scolded for going a bit too far.

Lucy still has her little quirk of wanting to collect more keys so anytime they travel somewhere, her first thing to do is find a magic shop and see if they have any. Most of the time she can't. A lot of shop masters tend to say that after the Grand Magic Games, celestial wizards started sprouting up out of nowhere, eager to learn more.

I want to believe that Wendy told Erza about Irene. Wendy felt a lot of guilt keeping it from her so after about a week that they first set out, she told Erza. Erza was more worried about what it meant for Wendy than anything cause wtf my mom that died is living in my basically little sister. It took Wendy a while to explain that it wasn't actually Irene, just her power.

Gray tends to space out whenever they're resting. No one really knows where his mind goes most of the time, but occasionally, he'll get the smallest smile and they'll know it's Juvia he's thinking about.

And for just a bit of Nalu angst, Natsu had a hard time looking at Lucy for a while. He knows Lucy takes a lot of pride in her looks so now that she has scars all over her body, he blames himself for them. She told him multiple times that they don't bother her and she takes a lot of pride in them herself. The scars are proof that she saved Natsu and that's all that matters for her. They slowly started to fade so now, he struggles to watch her stand in the sun. Lucy knows this and tends to make him look at her so he knows it's okay.

Unfortunately for everyone around them, they both have pretty dark senses of humor (in a self deprecating way that makes their fellow guild members stressed)

But also they are really supportive of each other. Like always the first to cheer the other on

For Christmas one year, Gray recreated Lucy's keys in ice and made them into ornaments (Lucy nearly cried. Especially when she saw the Aquarius one (this was before she got the key back))

Lucy taught Gray how to slow dance. He's normally a good dancer but something about slow dancing trips him up

No one is safe from their judgement. Loke trips walking into the guild? Gray and Lucy are whispering and pointing. Natsu can't even breathe without them bullying him

Gray tends to keep an eye on Lucy at parties and stuff because he knows men tend to get grabby with her. He also knows she can take care of herself, but if Gray can freeze the guy to the floor without causing a scene, he's gonna.

Something about Lucy activates Gray's mom tendencies. He's always patching her injuries, making sure she ate, etc

Lucy tries to do it back but Gray would rather die than take care of himself. Lucy assures him that if he keeps it up, she will kill him

Unfortunately threatening to kill Gray usually ends in him getting excited and going "promise?!?". Lucy then threatens to snitch to Natsu and Gray takes it back (this is a very common conversation between the two)
