The Clone Wars 2x12 âThe Mandalore Plotâ Reaction
I love Satine. She is AMAZING. She is so fierce, takes absolutely no nonsense, stands up for what she believes in, is exceptionally competent and skilled in her areas of speciality (diplomacy etc), calls out Obi-Wan on his philosophical jedi bullshit and saves his life as well. And the sass. The Sass. It is off the charts. They spend the entire time flirting under the pretence of verbal jousting, sassing back and forth at each other. I love it. I love them. I spent so much of this episode just CACKLING.
Satine and Obi-Wan are perfect together. They compliment each other so well. Theyâre one of those couples that are just meant for each other. Theyâre soul mates (if this was a Soul Mates AU). Yes I know what happens shhh just let me enjoy thisÂ
I know I go on about Space Husband Cody all the time but Obi-Wan and Satine are just so good together. Obi-Wan can have a Space Royalty Wife and a Space Warrior Husband, as a treat. Or they could all just get together as a throuple. Actually, Satine, Cody and Obi-Wan as a throuple sounds most excellent. Ultimate power throuple right there.Â
Anyway, onwards to the live-blogging style portion of this reaction post.
-
Ahahahaha Obi-Wan is pure sass already
Oooh thatâs a pretty building. Not particularly tactically secure though seeing as its walls and ceiling are made of glass. Though that makes sense as a pacifist statement I suppose.
Jango Fett was a common bounty hunter? Excuse?!
âWell, Master Kenobi, my shining jedi knight, to the rescue once again.â OMGILOVEHERALREADY
What were those strange shimmering noises?
âAfter all these years youâre even more beautiful than ever.â Obi-Wan you are NOT subtle
âKind words from a man who accuses me of treachery.â CACKLING
âNo Mandalorian would engage in such violence.â That sounds exceptionally counterintuitive, even if this is a long time before The Mandalorian series.
Did she just ask him out on a date after a verbal joust?!
Those strange shimmering noises appeared again. Also, the ominous music is about as unsubtle as Obi-Wanâs flirting. I think, just maybe, that they might be trying to tell us that *gasp* something sinister is going on here!
There seems to be quite a few lingering shots on the Prime Minister. Does he do something nefarious later down the line?
Naw theyâre on a date!Â
The little pauses in âItâs so good to see you again Obi-Wanâ aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
Death Watch. Thatâs a subtle name.
âSmall group of hooligans.â Well thatâs going to come back and bite you now isnât.
âMost distasteful.â Dooku doing the absolute most to chew all of the scenery on this holocall.
First philosophy lesson of the episode. Satine has a damn good point and sheâs not letting Obi-Wan get away with any noble jedi bullshit.
Naw he was so worried about her.Â
Obi-Wan just deciding what to do for Satineâs safety. I get that itâs probably a good idea but also side eyeing.Â
Ok that was not something Iâd ever expect them to show in a âkids tv showâ, that was rough and intense.Â
Is this the first time we hear the Mandoâa language spoken?
Thereâs a lot of religious iconography going on in this episode. The building that Obi-Wan meets the Prime Minister and Duchess Satine in, which looks like a church interior. That hand reaching towards the light.
You two are great and all but why are you sassing each other over the very recently dead dude who is right there?!
âThatâs why Iâm still talking to you.â SAVAGEÂ
Ahahahahaha Obi-Wanâs little impressed expression CACKLING
Mining is bad kids
Oooh, a Vizla. Is this Pazâs dad?
âPlease try not to cause problems where none yet existâ THE SASS
Omg I love these two. Theyâre perfect.
That pause before Satine said âmeditateâ XD
Obi-Wan that snooping around is about as subtle as your flirting
Iâm loving the music in this episode. Itâs been consistently excellent throughout TCW but this episode especially it is really heightening and adding to everything.
This entire scene of Satine trying to subtly communicate with Obi-Wan without alerting Vizla is peak ridiculous campy TCW comedy
âIâm in a bit of an awkward spotâ Obi-Wan does like using that phrase when the situation is much worse than heâs letting on. He did the same thing in 2x9 âGrievous Intrigueâ when he asked Anakin to pick them up from a ship that was in the middle of exploding in space.
Why did one of the Mandalorians have an OTT south London gangster accent?Â
What are those? Random demonstration space pumpkins to emphasise the squishing Obi-Wan is about to receive?
âThis is not good.â ya donât say
Ahahahaha at the line about the loud metallic clanging sound and the machine about to smash him into bits.
I am CACKLING at their sassing of each other. Obi-Wan is metres away from being pureed and theyâre still bantering.
This is definitely me reading far too much into things but that look of relief on Obi-Wanâs face looked suspiciously like an orgasm face. Apt seeing as this is the episode where he reconnects with his old flame.
âUnseemly pleasureâ hmmm indeed.
Thatâs where youâre supposed to kiss dammit.
Again with the random south London gangster accent for the Mandalorian âhooligansâ?
âWeâll have to stand and fight. Or in your case, just stand.â OBI-WAN YOU DID NOT
For such an apparently uncivilised weapon, Obi-Wan seems suspiciously good at shooting blasters.
The rock! Satine!
Lol the Death Watch leader just flicked his little cape away from in front of his arm and then the next shot we see of him itâs right back where it was.Â
Guvâna? Why the random briâish accents?
Lol of course Vizla was the baddie and leader of Death Watch.
Nyoom! Wiz! Zing! Random sci-fi noises!
Obi-Wan why are you dodging missiles with dance moves?! What is this ridiculousness? Also, CACKLING
Satine! There are missiles coming, time to go!
Lol of course he fell on top of her but in this case I donât care and I will take that trope and run with it!Â
âMine was the more daring of the two rescues.â SNORTS
Lol at Rex, Cody, Anakin and the clones just randomly turning up at the end of the episode.

The Clone Wars are fought between the Republic and the Mandalorian Empire
Instead of the Separatists, the Sith use Death Watch to engineer a galactic war. But their hold on Death Watch leadership is much weaker (and the Mandalorians much more stubborn) than they thought.
Death Watch emerges victorious from the Mandalorian Clan Wars. The Mandalorian empire rises again. The Jedi are peacekeepers and too few in number to answer to this threat. The Republic Senate debates a bill for the creation of an army. The leader for the opposition of the bill, Senator Amidala of Naboo, is the target of an assassination attempt. The Jedi investigating the attempt is lead to a planet near the Wild Space called Kamino, where he finds a mysterious army of clones.
Or: Jango Fett still falls to the Sith plot, trying to get revenge on both the Jedi and the Death Watch. The Jedi meet their ancient enemies on the battlefield. But the Sith cannot control the Mandalorians. And the plots that destabilised the Mandalorian system, wiped out the leadership of the moderate faction, and lead to Death Watch leading Mandalore back to its days of conquest, may turn out to be their downfall.
- Instead of the Separatists, the Sith use Death Watch to engineer a galactic war. But their hold on Death Watch leadership is much weaker (and the Mandalorians much more stubborn) than they thought.
- Some things donât change and Jango Fett still falls to the Sith plot in his quest for revenge for both the Jedi and the Death Watch. Some things do, and in teaching the clones to fight Mandalorians, Jango also teaches them how to *be* (true) Mandalorians.
- The control chips arenât necessary to decimate the Jedi; the Mandalorians should be effective enough at it.

TOO MEAN? Are people serious??? It was Satine absolutely roasting the hell out of him ('collection of half-truths and hyperbole'!!!) that *made* me ship them. I was like finally someone with the guts to call him on his BS! đ
Iâve seen people hate on Satine for being too mean to Obi Wan and looking back on my own initial reaction to her when I first watched tcw, Iâm sort of amused- though not exactly surprised- since personally I remember being kind of shocked by Obi Wanâs behaviour, thinking hey man why are you being so rude to this lady, thatâs not very diplomatic, thatâs not very chivalry. He went pretty hard on his insults! Her pacifism is clearly very important to her and heâs over there going âor in your case, stand, lolâ and called her delusional at one point. Ruthless. But hey, if Satine is into that sheâs into that, I donât have a problem with it, some people like fiery debates in their flirting. Obi Wan can be a bit of a bitch some times, he is with Anakin and Qui Gon too. I guess I expected him to be more professional there, but I supposed it indicates their familiarity and lack of artifice.

This scene from The Mandalorian season 3 premiere really puts the scene from âOld Friends Not Forgottenâ into context, because both of these scenes are about projection. Bo-Katan was part of Death Watch, the very group that plotted with Maul to overtake Mandalore, and it was only when Maul killed Pre Vizsla to take over Death Watch and rule Mandalore that she left. And then Maul killed her sister. She blames Obi-Wan, who is saying that they canât just invade Mandalore (because thatâs what it would be) and breaking centuries old treaties and starting yet more war, as if all the damage that will do shouldnât mean anything because her sister is dead. When itâs Bo-Katan who doesnât care about the collateral damage, so long as she gets what sheâs after, itâs Bo-Katan who feels a crushing guilt and anger toward herself that she was part of those who helped bring the being into power that killed her sister, that she was the one who helped destabilize her entire planet. And she does the same with Din. Bo-Katanâs role was to unite the Houses, to be the leader that they needed to follow and fight back against the Empire. That was the entire point of giving her the Darksaber and why sheâs so desperate to win it in combat against Moff Gideon, and itâs not on Dinâs shoulders that he happened to win it first, that he doesnât want to keep the thing, that he didnât even know about other Mandalorians. Itâs Bo-Katan who is angry at herself for failing, sheâs angry that other Mandalorians werenât hollowed out by this loss, that they can still pick up and go on with any other kind of life, just like Obi-Wan was able to pick up and go on despite Satineâs loss. Bo-Katan was gutted and consumed by fury and destroyed by loss, why wasnât everyone else destroyed in the same way? And she is so angry about that and it puts that TCW scene in such an interesting new context for me that Iâm whipping around to actually love it a ton!!  Let women be angry and wrong and messy and still be good!!! Let my wife be a mean bitch who is broken in heart and soul!!! I wouldnât change a thing about her, sheâs awful and wonderful and I love her!!!

8 11 15 30 ask game! :))
Rebels ask game
If you could've added an episode/story arc to the show, what would it be about?
I think the entire Mandalore plot could be greatly improved with at least two extra episodes. First I think Legacy of Mandalore needed to be two episodes, it just feels really crunchy to me. Like there is just a lot happening and its so speedran that there are parts that feel borderline contradictory to each other and they could makes sense if there was just a little more time. And more importantly at least one whole episode dedicated to Sabine and Bo-Katan working together and detailing whatever Bo went through between then and the end of tcw, and a little bit on Bo and Ursa's relationship in Death Watch. Because frankly there was just not enough reason given to why Bo-Katan deserved the Darksaber in Sabine's eyes imo. I would have to rewatch all the relevant episodes from tcw and rebels to go into detail, possibly I'm forgetting details that make it make sense but idk.
As for an entirely new story arc? I do wish there was some kind of arc in which Kanan, Hera and Zeb reminisce about the crazy shit they got into when they were young, before they got kids lol. And it could include some hints about how the crew came together, how they found Zeb and Sabine (can you tell that I would kill a man for a book or comic after a new dawn đđ)
What is one joke/moment from the show that always makes you laugh?
What is your favorite Kanera moment?
Ough probably their last hug in the sunset on Atollon before it all goes to shit đĽ˛
Most under-rated episode?
Honestly I have no idea. I rarely see discussion on any specific episodes that aren't twilight of the apprentice and trials of the darksaber so its hard to say. Besides like. Every single episode that doesn't have Ahsoka in it. When looking through the lens of the wider sw fandom đŤ đŤ đŤ
Thanks for the ask <3

TL:DR: a brief treatise on learning to love Ahsoka for the gifts it gave us, rather than its shortcomings
Reasons why I struggled to like Ahsoka on first watch:
-my Rebels-fan brain constantly chanting WHERE IS EZRA WHERE IS EZRA WHERE IS EZRA; every episode that ended without him had me screaming
-the portrayal of Ezra as some noble war hero/wise Jedi instead of the little shit devious street urchin thief who, after four seasons of growth, pain, and temptation to turn darkside, turned into an IGnoble war hero with the potential to become a wise Jedi
-the show's habit of far-too-casually dropping facts that emotionally wrecked Rebels fans (ALL the Wrens died on Mandalore?? Could we maybe explore that a bit?? Dave do you remember when you had Sabine collapse into what she thought were her mother's ashes, and the depth of her relief when she realised her family was still alive and she still had a chance to make things right with them?? DO YOU???)
-the show's refusal to recap/reference insanely important events from Rebels and The Clone Wars (Mortis Gods, Trials of the Darksaber, Vader v Ahsoka and Ezra rescuing her via the World Between Worlds, Ahsoka's entire existence, etc) that would have made Ahsoka, Sabine, & Hera's importance in the larger Star Wars universe much more comprehendible for non-Rebels & TCW fans
-watching Sabine, who only ever wanted to be a valued, equal member of a family & team, and who was already incredibly skilled (art/warfare/mechanics), belittling and limiting herself trying to play the part of Jedi Padawan
-the wasted potential of show that could have truly explored how non-Jedi&Sith engage with the whole spectrum of the Force (e.g. other force users such as Nightsisters, loth wolves, purrgil, and non-force-sensative people such as Sabine), instead ultimately championing the light-dark binary and the traditions of the Jedi order (which many of us have little respect for) such as the Master-Apprentice relationship
Reasons why I now adore Ahsoka and would defend it to the death:
-the breath-taking care, love, and attention the production team put into every tiny detail (the sets, the costumes, props, the MUSIC, the background art, the ships and weapons, my god the detail!!)
-the shameless centring of diverse, layered female characters and the exquisite, subtle performances of Mary Elizabeth Winstead & Genevieve O'Reilly
-a mature exploration of how traumatic events e.g. wars may technically "end", but don't end for everyone: Ahsoka and Sabine are still traumatised ex-child soldiers mourning people they desperately loved but had complex & unresolved issues with; Hera still has zero boundaries between being a soldier and her personal life. And this PTSD has very real consequences to the narrative
-the show ultimately resisting the urge to choose a plot-twist Ezra reveal (e.g. turns out Thrawn and Ezra are now buddies/Ezra is the new big bad/Ezra was Marrok), which may have been more interesting but would have deprived us of the wholesome Ezra reveal we actually wanted
-Eman Esfandi giving us the most successful animation-to-live-action transition since Katee Sackhoff's Bo-Katan, and being so perfect in his mannerisms and behaviour that it was almost worth the wait (and looking so much like Ezra's father in Rebels!!)
(...unless you include Chopper, whose transition was actually 120% perfect)
-ultimately refreshing and levelling-up the potential for mature and diverse Star Wars narratives, like Andor did, but instead of leaning away from SW tropes and traditions like Andor, digging deeper into SW tropes and history, and linking non-mainstream-SW-elements such as the Nightsisters of Dathomir, the Mortis Gods, the World Between Worlds, and the existence of other galaxies

Hello!
First of all, I'm living for your Rep Com musings. đ As a relatively new fan to the series, I've been wondering how the Skirata gang would handle some of the "official" canon stuff like the inhibitor chips. If you ever have time or inclination, I'd love to know your thoughts. đĽ°
K'oyacyi! đ
Thank you, vod!! I have DO have a lot of thoughts. I've only just bEGUN with my Repcomm BS
So new canon and Republic Commando/Legends canon...
I think a lot of whatâs in current SW canon is just incompatible with Repcomm/Legends. Like even entertaining the idea of inhibitor chips in Repcomm, I think the Nulls would have found out when they hacked the systems on Kamino. That derails like a looot of the book plot. Even if they didn't know what the chips would be used for, the idea that there's a way to control all of the clones against their will would make it impossible to continue supporting the war.
I also don't like the inhibitor chips. I think it's a lazy plot device. It also ignores the very easy totally applicable reality that by the third year of the war, there could have been widespread discontent with how the war's been conducted and talk of clones being a 'slave army' to the Jedi.
I think Repcomm did a really good job laying out how Order 66 was totally possible just based on the conduct of the Jedi during the war. And I'm not a Jedi hater! The Jedi Order had its motivations and loyalty the Republic for many reasons. And the moral high ground of thinking they're 'doing the right thing' by keeping the Republic intact.
TCW was a kids show that didn't dig into the morality of the situation and slapped inhibitor chips in the clones.
I have thoughts about the Jedi pertaining to Zey's storyline/motivations, but another time!
The only current SW canon stuff that could have been interesting to see written into the Repcomm series if it was written now is if we had the New Mandalorians/Kryze government and also the diaspora of surviving exiled True Mandalorians with Jango Fett as Manda'lor calling upon the Cuy'val Dar to train the clone army for the Republic. There would be a loooot of explaining to do, I think it would be really hard to argue Jango would do something like that for the Republic when they instilled a 'pacifist' government on Mandalore, even if it was for revenge on the Jedi. But with the right motivations/set pieces it could have been a way to tell the story of the true Mandalorian's cultural genocide and the after effects.
All right, that's enough, getting off my soapbox now~
Idk, I am very happy writing my silly little fics, OCs, and headcanons in the Repcomm/legends canon.
#cal rambles about sw#i feel like anything i say about star wars canon/legends should come with the disclaimer that i am totally talking about of my ass#i have a very loose understanding of a lot of the details so just#grain of salt here folks#IT'S JUST MY OPINION!!!! vine#republic commando#repcomm#star wars#the clone wars#tcw#mandalorians

TCW Rewatch: Season 2 Episodes 12-15
The dreaded mandalore arc post. Im going to be upfront, if you dont like me slandering Satine just dont even read the post. Turn back now. Iâm not going to engage in dumb arguments. If you want to comment be civil.
I try to be as objective as I can writing these. I call it as I see it even when i do like the character. However I also recognize the tone can come across as aggressive, its not meant to be I just Talk Like That.
Anyways, enjoy!
Episode 12: The Mandalore Plot
* Obi wan sent to Mandalore to investigate rumors about a secret army built for the separatists
* âAll of our warriors were exiled to concordia. They died out years agoâ thats fucking weird. Like if weâre talking just Death Watch thatd be whatever theyâre terrorists but all of the warriors?? What about Satineâs Guard? Do they not qualify as warriors? Or are they allowed because theyâre Satineâs warriors
* Amec awfully defensive about Jango Fett being mandalorian. âJango Fett was a common bounty hunter. How he acquired that armor is beyond meâ what exactly makes someone Mandalorian or not?
* Satine is so hostile just as soon as she enters. That doesnt look good for your case, Duchess, considering you want to prove you have no intent of turning against the Republic. bad political decision.
* Sabateur is mandalorian. Amec really going hard on the denial "no mandalorian would engage in such violence. not anymore" babe you have Video Evidence of the exact opposite
* Satine assumes this whole thing is because the Senate wants to intervene in the affairs of Mandalore
* wild assumption considering obi wan has done nothing thusfar outside of try to get answers for his investigation. awfully presumtuous and honestly arrogant all things considered
* get her ass, kenobi
* i find it so hard to believe these two are supposed to have been in love
* Ok so now you mention Death Watch, not earlier when you were throwing around baseless accusations where that information could have been necessary??
* "its hardly a movement" a small group of hooligans typically doesnt warrant secret officials rooting them out. all this tells me is that she knows about death watch and refuses to do much of anything ab it. what does she plan to do with the investigation?
* The separatists want to help overthrow satine
* Satine trying to lecture Obi Wan on peacekeeping and Jedi ideals is fucking audacious. âThe job of a peacekeeper is to make sure that conflict does not ariseâ and what when conflict does? You cant always prevent conflict. The conflict is already there so arguably Obi Wan has a more understandable and realistic point of view here.
* Also terribly ironic that an act of terrorism occurs as they are having this conversation. This isnât Peace. Its ignorance.
* âHooligans couldnt have arranged an attack of this scaleâ âIt must be an offworlderâ denial is going to get your people killed
* Side note: the sheer amount of blonde white people makes me so uncomfortable for this to be an idyllic state of peace for mandalorians. Especially when any mandalorians we see who are poc are stripped of their mandoness, or cult members (this is in reference to Jango and Din, im uncertain of what sabines familyâs political views were)
* Damn
* That man shot at obi wan while he was trying be diplomatic ab it would she blame him for self defense? Thats fucked up especially bc shes totally cool with self defense when she does it
* Obi wan got hands
* She is being so suspicious
* She criticizes him every chance she gets, and rather unfairly too
* What do you mean theyâre supposed to be in love? They dont even act like they Like eachother. Obi Wan has had kinder interactions with most of his main villains
* The pre vizla death watch entrance is unfortunately kinda badass
* The dark saber having a different sound effect scatches the brain
* Obi Wan (correctly) believing the separatists are supporting Death Watch and Satine immediately saying no i want no part in that conflict is weird. Like thats not a decision you make. You joining the clone war is not what hes talking about, The Death Watch dont care about what you want. I dont even know how she turned this conversation into a âi wont be part of this war and you wont convince meâ discussion when he literally didnât say anything of the sort
Episode 13: Voyage of Temptation
* I didnt even notice the scene of Satine expectantly waiting for Obi Wan to kiss her hand last episode until this episodes recap. I hate it that feels condescending
* This is where they start revealing that they had or have feelings for eachother and I simply Cant See It
* The way she talks down to obi wan constantly and even seats herself above everyone else like bro have literally any fucking respect for others outside of yourself
* The spider droid deaths are already so dark
* âEven extremists can be reasoned withâ Duchess YOU are an extremist and you clearly canât be reasoned with, just because your extremism isnt violent doesnt make it not extreme
* And again pacifism is ineffective in the face of an uncaring enemy, you fight or you die
* Im only like 1/4 of the way through this episode
* I feel like they try to push obitine so hard it just falls flat for me because their negative interactions outweigh any positive ones
* Anakin seems to really be pushing Obi Wan to have feelings for Satine but it comes across as Anakin projecting his worries about his relationship with Padme onto Obitine, because if Obi Wan can do it its okay that he can. Except Obi Wan doesnt, he lets it go
* Ooh creepy clone puppet scene
* I love when star wars tries to be spooky scary
* âJust because im a pacifist doesnt mean i wont defend myselfâ you mean like how last episode you said if obi wan had killed that guy you would blame him even tho he was just defending himself?
* Also Another assassination attempt⌠surprisingâŚ
* âThis line of questioning borders on tortureâ arguably no it doesnt??? What harm is it causing? Emotional distress is already caused by the fact that there is a traitor present releasing the droids in the first place
* Senator Merrik was on Mandalore with Satine, is he from Mandalore? Who is this guy? Hes the Senator for Kalevala in the Mandalore system
* The fact that Satine could be betrayed by literally every single one of her close colleagues is honestly telling of how her peace was just a facade used by her enemies to blindside her.
* Merrik looks so disturbed ab Satine suddenly confessing her love
* Me too
* Also the fuck you mean youve loved him ever since? Youve been treating him like shit this whole time???
* At least the distraction worked, as uncomfortable as it made me
* Merrik, as shitty as he is, makes a decent point about if Satine shoots him or not, Sheâs politically backed herself into a corner
* âWho will strike first and brand themselves a cold-blooded killer?â Enter Anakin
* I do think had Anakin not been there Obi would have done it for the greater good, or found a less fatal way about it
* Yes Cody, please interrupt the moment
* Why did her attitude change so drastically at the end?
Episode 14: Duchess of Mandalore
* So Death Watch has the means to attack Mandalore and if Satine allows Republic occupation then Death Watchâs attack puts them in the people of Mandaloreâs good graces allowing them to usurp Satine
* Obviously palps wants to do this for a power grab, Jerek could well have been another of Satineâs allies betraying her although im not so sure. He calls for Republic assistance against Death Watch becasue he sees them as a threat, calling out the Pride of the government to not ask for assistance from the Jedi.
* Either way this could have gone, it would always end the same because to maintain peace you have to Fight for it. That doesnt mean you have to be violent but you cant be ignorant of it either
* Arguably Satine is correct about the Republic occupation making them a target for the war and she has the right to remain neutral but what exactly is her alternative plan to deal with Death Watch
* Those guards of hers dont seem very pacifistic
* Damn friend zoned lmao
* So far Satine in this episode is at least more tolerable and I understand where sheâs coming from
* What the republic is doing IS wrong but shes not offering an alternative to stopping Death Watch to protect her people
* Isnt she allied with 1500 other systems or something like that? Why did she go to the Senate at all?
* Thats underhanded(holding the vote without Satines presence or knowledge)
* Ok assassination yet again
* Running away is not the most intelligent decision from an innocent woman
* Neither is attacking the police
* I feel like this could have been avoided
* Ok thats a cool scene
* So are there warriors on Mandalore or not? You arent going to combat them effectively without a fight, its unrealistic.
* âThe temerity to stand strong in the name of peaceâ so what exactly is the plan to protect the people of Mandalore from Death Watch. You canât just say nuh uh and expect them to back down and submit to pacifism, they keep saying theyll stand strong but they havenât mentioned anything about what exactly they will do to stand strong against Death Watch
* Mandalore escapes Republic occupation
Episode 15: Senate Murders
* A group of senators want to escalate the production of troops, Padme and her allies recognize this will prolong the war and is working against it
* Padmes enemies are accusing her of separatist conspiracy, if this gets out to the rest of the senate she is absolutely fucked
* Ono assassinated, they actually succeeded this time
* Where do i know this lieutenants voice? Its grating just like his personality, no offense to the va
* Mothma and Bail both act like parental/older sibling figures to padme, im a whore for that shit
* I wish I could hate this guy more but the dracula vibes go too hard im sorry
* Oh shit dracula is dead as hell
* I do love a good murder mystery, idk why i was so apprehensive about this episode
* Is it Lolo?
* As much as Burtoni sucks, i do believe her when she says she doesnt give a single fuck enough to kill these people, she just has that vibe
* Yeah i knew it
* Ono made the decision he did because the Rodians were starving and need the help the Republic couldnât be bothered to expedite, it was a mistake made out of hope for his people to live
* I love when Padme throws hands
* The clones will continue to be âmanufacturedâ although it doesnt say whether or not they will be creating more faster, i thought that was the original plan
* Manipulative bitch
War Crime Counter
Separatists: 9
Republic: 5
im counting the act of terrorism and the assassination of the informant.
Im uncertain if Ono and Draculaâs assassination belongs under Republic or not tho

Rebels Rewatch: "Ghosts of Geonosis"
Packaging this two-parter as one big episode because shut up, you're not the boss of me.
I could have sworn I had a live reaction version of this already, but I can't for the life of me find it. Oh well.
This cue here sounds like it comes from TCW, maybe Saw's theme if he had one, anyone wanna confirm that for me?
This whole opening interaction between Ezra and Sabine is cute, she watches him as he plops down into her seat, gives a long-suffering eye roll, and dope slaps him across the back of his head for asking a stupid question and aside from a silently-mouthed "ow" he doesn't object to any of it lol.
Sign of the tightly-written continuity, we are returning to Geonosis to check out the missing populace and also pick up a Saw Guerrera guest appearance post his prominent role in Rogue One. (Out of text-wise that is.)
Empire cleaned up their mess pretty well.
Early establishing of the plot complications of the underground tunnels blocking comm signals, which features throughout the episode as a major element. The GFFA equivalent of establishing "no cell service", essentially.
The sandstorm also obscures things, visually and sensor-wise. And provides us with much humor as Sabine complains about it frequently.
Ho man, I remember how much I loved the banter and dialogue this episode, it was so much fun. Felt like a return to the early days of the show.
This episode was another really great one for subtly showing off Kanan's blindness. He mentions the stillness of the air, his hearing picks up on Klik-Klack before anyone else does, Saw has to let him know to watch his step...
As we already know, abandoned helmet = they 100% dead. The showrunners would use this visual shorthand very effectively in the promo image they did for "Heroes of Mandalore", with a whole pile of empty Mando helmets littered across a scorched landscape.
Kanan plays the voice of caution here, almost like he's the genre-savvy one in a horror movie, lol. Fitting, some aspects of the episode are played up like one. (We got the "Monster POV" shots, we got the cryptic remains left behind, we got no cell service, we got a storm.)
Badass boys shot. <3
Unlike Kalani's decrepit troops, these B1s and Destroyers have been better maintained and repaired, and give the group a bit more of a hassle until Saw shows up.
There's excellent teamwork between all the hero parties involved, Kanan and Ezra work smoothly as oil to slice up the Destroyer once its shield is gone, recalling Obi-Wan and Anakin from TCW.
Something I loved about this season was that characters would offhand mention, "Oh, we don't have this." or "The Rebellion really needs this." and then a couple episodes later they would manage to either acquire them or have them come into play.
Some examples: Proton bombs, this shield generator, spacesuits...
Ooof, was I the only one who caught the similarity between Saw urging them forward to satiate his obsession, Ezra agreeing, and Kanan choosing to trust him and, well... [gestures vaguely to the whole Malachor thing with Maul].
The tension this episode is great, the communication problems lend a sense of urgency and anxiety during both groups' separation and you get a feeling like the messages are coming almost too late to save them.
The Zeb and Sabine banter. <3
Kanan asking Ezra to look for him. <3
There he go, lol.
Kanan is really impressive, Force-wise, this episode, tossing Ezra aaaaaall the way across that chasm, separating and levitating that bridge for Saw and Rex to cross, and still somehow having enough energy and stamina to leap across himself.
And the Force theme that accompanies said above is lovely. <3
Ezra's pretty cool himself, using Force sense to find Klik-Klak when it seems like the bug has given them the slip. His theme is even excerpted a bit.
(Possibly he actually forms a connection, because he's very empathetic towards Klik-Klak after this and defends him from Saw repeatedly.)
Already having some Concerns about Saw's methods lol.
I love how this show depicts Ezra's compassion as one of his major strengths. It's natural for most Jedi and combined with Ezra's natural affinity for connection it's practically a superpower. Ezra's really sweet with Klik-Klak. :)
DEATH STAR-SHADOWING. Oh man the Dramatic Irony was painful, like any time TCW alluded to or called forward to Order 66 and a mental scream rings in your head and you want to yell at the characters and shake them as if that can somehow help them avoid the inevitable doom. Same feeling.
Saw, those binders do NOT have a tracker in them, don't lie.
Obligatory "Stab the TCW fans in the heart" moment.
Ezra seeing shades of himself in Saw's grudge against the Separatists, god his face this whole scene.
Once again touching on those Star Wars archthemes about breaking the cycle of revenge, about not turning your internal pain outwards on the rest of the world, no matter how righteous your cause, about not becoming a monster in your efforts to slay the dragon, about showing compassion to everyone, even your enemies. Saw is representative of the Well-Intentioned Extremist, and even though his ultimate goal is noble--destroying the Empire, exposing their secret superweapon so that the galaxy will finally wake up and deal with the tyranny they've come to complacently accept--Saw loses parts of his humanity in the process, emotionally and ultimately physically. He becomes almost like Vader in the bitter end, for his efforts. (And he's also a shadow of Thrawn.)
Brunsen! I love her.
Saw's personal grudge against the Separatists in general for killing his sister and his squad is blinding him. Ezra points out that Klik-Klak is basically the only survivor of a planet-wide massacre and is understandably a little defensive about invaders, trying to live up to his name again and "bridge" the differences between the two factions, only it doesn't work this time because Saw is too fanatic.
"Saw, we had this argument back at Command." Oh DID YOU now, Rex? Really could have forewarned the team that Saw might get a little deranged in his quest for truth.
I love Saw, he's the best example of an actually Morally Gray character in Star Wars. Unlike Thrawn, his "greater good" reason for going to such extremes, doing whatever it takes to achieve the goal, is actually directed outwards towards the whole of the galaxy, he doesn't selfishly focus inwards on his own interests. Part of it is of course that Saw has already lost his people and planet, so there's nothing left for him except to prevent it from happening to other people. We're encouraged to sympathize with his pain and sense of loss, but not necessarily be comfortable with his actions.
The narrative both condemns his extremism and, ultimately, vindicates him in regards to the Death Star. There's the same sense of futility about him in that neither he nor the Senate and Jedi before Order 66 could uncover the plot quick enough to avoid their fate.
Back to the action, though. Love how the Ghost is so infamous now that their capture/destruction leads to big promotions lol.
This music cue sounds full of adventure, I like it. :)
Klik-Klak trusting Ezra because Ezra was nice to him aww.
"Neither have yours." Saw has a reputation, oof.
It's cute how Klik-Klak keeps tugging on Ezra's wrist.
Yeeeeeeeah I don't think we're supposed to sympathize with Saw in this moment. It's very deliberate, they even have him throw Ezra across the room.
"Your methods are soft, Jedi." Shades of Tarkin much, Saw? I know this annoys people to hear but even if you're fighting fascists, there are lines you don't cross. Saw points a blaster at a baby for heaven's sake. You do not become like your enemy in order to destroy them, because then you're just taking their place, exchanging one kind of cruelty and violence for a different one, for your particular flavor of one.
War is hell but you don't have to become a demon.
Saw's long hesitation after Ezra uses the word "family", Ezra got to him a bit I think, lol. Rex reinforces that tactic, ha ha.
My only minor nitpick this episode, the show once again using the Empire as a Diobulus Ex Machina to make Saw play nice with the others. One more Persuasion Check would have done it I think.
Cue a very excellent action setpiece.
IIIIII think I heard this cue before, back in "Imperial Supercommandos" when Rau ambushed Ezra and Sabine in the shuttle. Interesting choice.
A nice little badass moment for Ezra. :)
And a hero shot for Sabine as we prepare to show off her new jetpack.
He adores her.
Kanan's the only one who can't see how awesome she is. :(
Her little "That's cute." shoulder pat when Ezra says he wants a jetpack too. <3
Love how this Imperial's hat gets sent askew slightly from Brunsen's slap.
HHHHHNNNNNN ONCE AGAIN THE DRAMATIC IRONY IS MENTALLY SCREAMING IN MY HEAD, NO NO THAT'S NOT WHAT HE MEANS.
Saw listens to Ezra this time, next time we see him he's even more apathetic towards the beings in front of him who need help now.
HOW AWESOME WAS IT FOR HERA SLICING THROUGH THIS LIGHT CRUISER? Eh? Eh?
You get such a sense of the speed here.
Ugh, the pictures of the canisters aren't enough, ow, that feels like some kind of Politically Relevant commentary.
And as I said before, the narrative lets Saw get off (this time) with some stern looks from the others, but it's still not completely approving of his actions. He's not the Empire, yet, but he'll come closer and closer to their tactics and methods.
This two-parter episode is almost perfectly paced and it's really well-written. Everything about it works so well.
Solid Rebels content. <3

so what i'm getting from the crowd who watched the mandalorian season 3 is:
the main focus of the season was continuing the mandalore plot from tcw and rebels, and they did it by soft-retconning everything that happened in those shows
the only things of note that the main character did all season were reversing decisions he made in season 2, and one happened entirely of-screen unless you watched a different show
there are apparently plenty of scenes or lines that seem like set up for something cool but aren't and can't be made so in the future because those potential storylines are irreversibly over
bo-katan's age is in a quantum state with like 20 or more years of difference depending on whether you consider implications in live action shows or hard facts mentioned in passing in other material to have precedence
either the writers forgot to include the baby in the plot or wrote the season before they were forced to put back him in and just. didn't change anything
everybody's been misnaming the main character for three years

paint bombs, pixie cuts, and elopements........
hehehehe
This is my Sabezra Medieval AU! (it's the sequel to Matchmaking, Mad Science, And Accidental Child Acquisition, which is a TCW/JFO/SWR Medieval AU.) PBPCAE has gone through SO many variations and plans and ideas and four or five times I've thought I might actually have the story 100% figured out until I stumbled over a plot hole and got stuck, but I finally went back to the beginning and thought it out, and i've actually got an ACTUAL plan now, so I'll ramble about it instead of sharing a snippet!
So, the backstory of it is this: Sabine is Viscountess Wren, heiress to Clan Wren. Ezra is an orphan who was found, rescued, and eventually adopted by Kanan (aka Prince Caleb Dume of Jedha) and Hera! Ezra and Sabine meet as children (she's 7, he's 5) in book 1 and get along like a house on fire. After the events of book one, they keep in touch--I haven't decided for certain, but Sabine might actually live in Jedha for a while.
Fast forward in time to the beginning of PBPCAE. Sabine is a young woman, just old enough to marry, and Ursa is discussing potential political matches with her. Now, up until this point, sabine had never ever considered marrying ezra, but then her mom goes and says "Sabine, I may as well be clear from the start. You will not be permitted to marry that Jedhan boy you're constantly running around with."
Sabine's response?
After some confusion, embarrassment, hilarity, and a trip to Jedha, Sabine manages to convince Ezra that This Is A Great Idea Actually. But there's a problem.
Jedha and Mandalore both have very complicated marriage customs and requirements. And Sabine knows her mother will use any objection she can. So Act 1 of the story is Sabine and Ezra doing a deep dive into Jedhan and Mandalorian law (with the assistance of Cal Kestis, Resident Nerd) and kind of go on a bunch of quests to make sure there can be no nitpicky legal objections whatsoever (i.e. they have to convince kanan to adopt ezra the mandalorian way as well as the jedhan way so that ezra would be considered actual royalty and therefore a good political match), while also keeping it a total secret so Ursa can't step in and stop them. The secrecy leads to some comedy due to Sabine and Ezra both being very bad at making up excuses as to where they've been sneaking off to.
Finally, they've settled every objection, and are preparing ye olde powerpointe presentatione on "Why You Should Approve Of This" for Ursa when a visiting Mandalorian with a bit of a grudge against Sabine sets her up, resulting in an Incident that nearly ruins Sabine's reputation, and causes Ursa to summon her daughter back home.
War breaks out in Mandalore.
Sabine and Ezra don't see each other for two years.
Enter Act 2.
The war ends, and Ezra and his family (which includes young Jacen!) are invited to Mandalore's Winter Court as part of the celebrations. (I haven't decided what plot reason there is for them to be there lol.) Ezra is ecstatic to see Sabine again, though he's a little nervous that two years will make things awkward, especially with their secret marriage plans between them (and the fact that, during their time apart, he came to terms with the realization that he had feelings for her. His friends Luke and Han, who know about the secret, have been giving him (extremely bad) advice on How To Woo Your Future Wife.)
'Tis not to be.
The first news Ezra gets upon arrival is that Sabine is engaged.
To be specific, Sabine is engaged to Carthage, the philandering slimeball son of Gar Saxon---and the same guy who set her up and nearly ruined her two years before. She's not happy about it, but it was part of the conditions of the peace treaty, and so she can't call off the engagement without a mutual agreement.
(Ezra is, understandably, heartbroken. He can't even be happy for Sabine because her fiance is a lousy person!)
Then yet another Incident happens and suddenly the whole Winter Court is convinced that Sabine is carrying on with Ezra behind Carthage's back. Carthage is mad.
Wait a second, Sabine thinks. This could be my ticket out of here.
So, in an attempt to make Carthage upset enough that he willingly agrees to cancel the engagement, Sabine and Ezra play themselves up as a starcrossed romance between a noblewoman in an arranged marriage and the peasant boy who became a prince and who also happens to be her childhood friend---basically they use all the dramatic tropes they can. Half of the Winter Court is scandalized by their behavior, and the other half is like it's the romance of the century!!!!
And when even that doesn't work?
Well...
There's always elopement.
#thank you for the ask!!#star wars medieval au#sabezra#jessica's writing nonsense#(there's also a whole act 3 about the elopement process and the shenanigans that happen along the way but that part has spoilers)#(and there's dramatic love confessions!)#(and also a surprising amount of political intrigue!)

The Clone Wars 2x14 âDuchess of Mandaloreâ Reaction
This first Mandalore-Obi-Wan/Satine-Obitine arc started out so well. 2x12 âThe Mandalore Plotâ was an absolute hoot. One of my favourite episodes so far. 2x13 âVoyage of Temptationâ wasnât quite at the same level but still had some fantastic and hilarious moments. And then everything just felt like it fell completely flat in the final episode of this Mandalore arc.
Weâve just been introduced to Satine, who we very quickly get to know as an exceptionally capable, hyper competent, dedicated and principled leader. Sheâs smart, shrewd, quick witted, intelligent, and has the nous to best Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Great Negotiator himself, whenever they flirt verbally joust. The Satine we know is there at the start of her appearance in the Senate, where she delivers the absolute banger of a line that is âYou would trample our right to self-determination.â Â
However it all goes downhill from there when the recording plays and she gets all flustered and upset. Now that is understandable given that she has the lives of her people at stake and she has just discovered that her deputy minister and supposedly good friend has betrayed her while in the middle of the Senate. Yet weâve seen Satine maintain a level head and remain collected in the face of peril, threat and adversity before so why did she suddenly lose that composure in the Senate? It feels a little too much like leaning into the âwomen are too emotional to be leadersâ nonsense. Even with everything thatâs happened, I really couldnât understand this sudden 180 on Satineâs character. Also, a recording? Of course itâs fake. Though this is an audience perspective looking in, and there was no proof that it was doctored so of course Satine has to go off and find said proof. I did enjoy how much she was pissing off Palps though, and how much he couldnât show it. Anytime that happens is deeply satisfying.   Â
Then we get to Obi-Wan and Satine having their first real proper fight. The whole thing just seemed really unnecessary. I really was not impressed with Obi-Wan basically barging in with advice and telling her not to be hysterical. Sexist much? I guess this is one of those times where I have to remind myself that this episode aired over 13 years ago and so this is another example of how TCW has aged. Younger nerd me would still be pissed at that though so it doesnât excuse it. Also, how is 2010 13 years ago?! I can see both of their points of view, even if Obi-Wan really didnât go about delivering his in a considerate manner. In a way, theyâre both right and theyâre both wrong. Nothing good comes of it and then the Death Watch promptly tries to assassinate Satine, which gives you some idea of how well her day is going.
All the smarmy politics nonsense that happened after this was utterly frustrating. Hopefully that was the point because what else could that have been apart from an assassination attempt?! The speeder of a visiting political leader crashes into a building and that isnât suspicious? I also really donât like how the Republic thinks it can just march on over and decide whatâs best for planets under the guise of helping. Sounds very colonial of them but then thatâs probably the point. Just because the Republic might think theyâre helping doesnât mean they actually are. Especially when the people and elected leader of said planet have specifically stated multiple times that they donât want them there. I can think of a lot of real world parallels that this is echoing. Another example of TCW tackling difficult, more nuanced topics. Though Iâm beginning to realise that for all TCW is held up as fairly decent to good writing in Star Wars, thereâs still plenty of ways that it also disappoints.   Â
Satine has to find proof of the recording being doctored so of course she goes to the Coruscant underworld and of course her day gets even worse and she ends up framed for murder and is now a fugitive on the run. Sheâs got a hilarious unsubtle royal red hooded cloak on as a disguise, complete with ornate gold detailing. How is that fooling anyone? And then we had the chase sequence, which was utterly ridiculous. It was so laughably bad it reminded me of the speeder bike chase from The Book of Boba Fett.Â
Iâm putting this tangent here immediately so that I donât get hate for this. I want to make it completely clear that I enjoyed The Book of Boba Fett. There were some absolutely fantastic parts of the series. I think the highlight for me was the physicality Temuera Morrison brought to his acting and to Boba. He imbued so much of his MÄori culture into Boba and You. Can. Tell. It was amazing. I loved it. Thereâs a video interview where he talks about this and I wish I could find it because itâs fantastic and definitely worth a watch. TLDR I enjoyed The Book of Boba Fett. Sometimes it feels like Iâm one of the few who actually did. That said, I can completely recognise that there were quite a few elements of the show that were lacking, along with some decisions that were just ridiculous. Just because something is enjoyable doesnât exempt it from critical thinking. Sidelining Boba in his own show and turning the back half of the season into The Mandalorian Season 2.5 was particularly grating. There were also parts of the show that unfortunately just didnât land, and the speeder bike chase was one of them. It was supposed to be a speeder chase. That implies speed. The word is there in the name of the vehicles. Yet the whole thing looked like it was trundling along at about 20km/h, almost as if in slow motion. The chase sequence of Satine in this episode had the same vibes. It just seemed ridiculous. Everything happened so comically slowly. Clones are trained from birth and created with the sole purpose of being the perfect soldier and here they are bumbling around Coruscant like a pair of incompetent buddy cops from a dated British comedy show. Thereâs only so much you can suspend disbelief and it really didnât feel believable that a pacifist royal could continue to evade a whole cavalcade of pursuers that included two highly trained genetically engineered soldiers and a Mandalorian Death Watch assassin.
Obi-Wan meeting up with Satine, at what I assume was the top of Umate, was also hilariously ridiculous. Two hooded figures in the most populous public space on Coruscant? Thatâs not suspicious at all! Though there mightâve been a little bit of an acknowledgment of this in Obi-Wanâs line âNice disguise.â I did love the moment where Satine grabbed Obi-Wan by the front of his Jedi robes and dragged him away from where they were sitting. Iâm realising more and more that itâs the little moments that really make the characters and the show. Also, these moments are often a lot more fleeting than I thought theyâd be. Thereâs a similar one at the end of the show where Satine and Obi-Wan both look out over Coruscant through the window of the Chancellorâs office. I was expecting this to be a longer scene with conversation and a moment between the two of them. But instead it barely lasts a few seconds before the credits roll.Â
I will admit that Satine handing herself in as a distraction to allow Obi-Wan to get into the Senate building was particularly gutsy. So the episode is at least bookended by the Satine we know. Iâm almost up to the next Mandalore arc in season 3 and itâll be interesting to see how that goes. I also have so many episodes that Iâve watched and need to write about and Ahsoka comes out August 23 and I still have to get through seasons 3-7 of TCW and all of Rebels before that starts. Why have I done this to myself? *cries* I may have to revise my approach to these recaps again but I want to get through these ones first before I try changing things again. Â

Hi, first I want to congratulate you for the great fic you are writing, it´s so awesome to see Leia so human, so brave and getting reconected to the family she could not have meet without time travel.
I wanted to ask you if we will see in your fic clone wars plot points like Ahsoka´s trial, Umbara, Fives story, Satine/Mandalore, Anakin´s story with the the Ones( Father, Son and Daughter) and what will be Leia´s reaction to all those events and if Anakin and Leia will get closer or they will just keep their nice bro-friendship and I didn´t notice it at first but it´s Ahsoka Obi-Wan´s padawan in this story or she´s still Anakin´s padawan?
Thank you very much. :)
I've mentioned this several times, but outside of the OT and PT movies, I'm not making any particular effort to stick to canon, and certainly not to TCW events. Some might show up if they are useful to the story, but don't anticipate any of them. I never finished watching the series, and I have petty beef with a bunch of stuff I did see.
Ahsoka is Obi-Wan's padawan, officially, but I've deliberately been pretty loose about her needing to physically be with him. Anakin helped with her training when they were all stationed together on Radnor and Obi-Wan trusts Anakin with her.
#a lot of points from TCW really don't fit the changes I made in DLB#so there's no reason to expect them in my fic#and I will die before I introduce Mortis to this story#it does not work with the version of the Force I'm working with#also I hate it#personally

Writer Promo #1
This came via dm from the LOVELY @the-rain-on-kamino - Caro you're such a lovely soul, and you bring so much joy to this fandom so I was so excited to see this from you!
In Caro's own words:
I want to tell you about the WIP "Off the Grid" that I am actually writing. It's not posted yet but I have today finished the first chapter in German qnd now just need to edit and translate it. "Just" đ
hehe It's a nightmare. The story takes place immediately after the 5th Republic Commando book (Imperial Commando) and Darman and Niner are on their way to Kyrimorut. But when they want to Board the shuttle Delta squad comes their way. There are a few tense feelings cause they arenât sire if they are going to betray them to the Empire. But turns out that Delta (especially Scorch) is still devastated that they have to leave Sev behind on Kamino and they want to go AWOL too to find him At first they go to Mandalore for a Bug family reunion and then Delta and Omega along with the Nulls go on a mission to rescue Sev. đĽ I just couldnât stand that he was never found. It's also goubg to be a Lovestory between Niner and Reader who is a scout and comes arcoss their way at some point. It's mostly SFW but there will be smut chapters... cause as you so cleverly and rightfully stated... It is very important for the plot of TCW/TBB and RC that Captain Rex (and all of the clones) fucks and get fucked
This is such a cool premise! My knowledge of the commando books is limited, but I know Delta squad because of the Republic Commando games so I am totally with you on being devastated abouot Sev. and YES LET THEM FUCK! Can't wait until you post!

where is Din in Mando 3???
If u follow me you all know I love Bo Katan (mostly TCW and Rebels Bo) but I can't express enough how confused I am thus far that Din's whole arc got COMPLETELY shafted this season, how he's barely in his own show and he has ZERO discernible arc at midseason ep 4. Baffling!
All his emotional beats building in season 1-2 got glossed over for focus on a secondary character (however glad I may be she is likely getting a spinoff), and how we have gotten zero substantial moments of quiet growth/bonding btw Din and Grogu - the show's two main characters - which was paramount to the show's popularity.
We also, mindbogglingly, have gotten pretty much zero substantial growth btw Din and his covert thus far - (apart from Din saving Paz's son and Paz having a son who would interact with Grogu which I predicted after ep 1). This was merely a brief interaction which was based on an action set piece rather than any real plot growth.
There's been... no philosophical conversations between he and the armorer, HE DIDNT EVEN REMEMBER THE LIVING WATERS AT ALL lol, no one in his clan has questions about Mandalore????? he didnt see the Mythosaur, Grogu didn't do anything of note spiritually in the mines, no convos with anyone about what he's been doing since being exiled (or people avoiding it to show it's a weird topic for them).
and for all the show's defacto focus on Kryze this season our main character Din rarely says more than one offhanded word to her at a time, indicating no real narrative purpose of fostering any burgeoning clan cooperation there. she interacts far more with Grogu.
if anything the show avoids conversation between them as I predict she is set to depart for her own spinoff and they don't want too many restricting ties with The Mandalorian.
as always, I enjoy Filoni as a writer (TCW was a masterpiece) and I have to give him credit for offering some more substance in ep 4 with a covert-based mission and showing us some insight into the clan training, eating traditions etc. but yeah, crumbs.
it's all been VERY strange, fellas
#the mandalorian#they still have 4 eps but im not like counting on anytbing lmao#din djarin#and dont even touch me with anti bo katan stuff bc if you follow my blog you know im obsessed w her#like they could give him a cool episode 4-8 but id still be sitting here like ok why didnt he do anytbing in 1-4 tho..
